Thinking about Julian's role in erasing Kurn's memory in "Sons of Mogh"...

With how uncomfortable he was with replacing Bareil's brain in "Life Support", given the potential for a change in personality, I do wonder how he was feeling about having to erase an entire person to satisfy Klingon honour.

We don't see much of him at all in this episode, but I just feel like there's something interesting to be explored here. How does this impact his view of Worf? How willing is he to perform the operation? How much did he argue against it? The only thing we see is him asking Worf - Kurn at this point already being unconscious - "Are you sure about this?".

But knowing him, I can't imagine he liked this solution, even if it was clear Kurn wanted to actually die without it. If he thinks Jules was killed, despite him being able to remember some hazy bits of his life pre-Adigeon, how much more will he think this counts as technically killing Kurn?

Family values get a bit crazy in space. First up, Kurn drops by DS9 with a death wish that he wants Worf to help him with in "Songs of Mogh". After that, Rom has had enough and decides it's time for the bar staff to unionize in "Bar Association"!

When I was a kid, my favorite character in Star Trek: The Next Generation was Wesley Crusher. That's right! I never understood the hate. I thought he was so cool.

When I became a teenager, Captain Picard became my favorite TNG character. His little speeches and incredible one-liners, together with his polished dignity and deep wisdom, not to mention Sir Patrick Stewart's extraordinary acting, we very inspiring to me, and for many years I would name Picard as my all-time favorite male fictional character who I didn't create myself. (His female counterpart, if you're interested, is Nausicaä.)

But do you know who I dig now that I am deeply middle-aged? Kurn. That's right, the "burned, replicated bird meat" guy.
