Alright, I promised @maddgical-boy I'd share the pirate paracosm so here goes :) I wrote this post while playing Malinda's cover of Drunken Sailor on loop, 10/10 would recommend
I'm not sure if this counts as a fictparacosm, because it's in the PoTC universe but set much earlier and it's not focused on canon characters (in fact, the only canon characters who even show up in this paracosm are Jack, Gibbs, and Teague)
Captain Maeve Sparrow is Jack's younger sister (not biologically related- Captain Teague found her abandoned on Tortuga as a child, begrudgingly took her in, and raised her as a sailor because "now I have two kids to deal with so you might as well be something useful, this island has enough decorative wenches already".) She trusts practically no one except her crew, because what can I say, I'm a sucker for found-family tropes. She also has an ongoing rivalry with the governor of a small port town- thanks to the petty recklessness she picked up from Jack, she's repeatedly raided Port Westwind just to taunt Governor Everitt and steal her own wanted posters (idk if you've seen Pirates: Band of Misfits but it's a lot like the wanted poster scene- Maeve wants to see how high she can drive the price on her head).
Everitt's son, Jacob, always wanted to leave the port but was raised to be his father's successor, and he was fascinated by pirates despite his father's hatred of them (basically Elizabeth at the beginning of the first movie but genderswapped lol). Maeve made a bet with her first mate that she could convince Jacob to turn pirate, so she entered the town in disguise and found him in a tavern. She kept returning for a few weeks, talking to him, befriending him, and eventually revealed who she really was and invited him onto the ship. He tentatively agreed. Over the next several months, he begins regularly sneaking out to join Maeve's crew and is gradually accepted as one of them, he learns how to be a pirate, Maeve and Jacob fall in love.. everything's going great until he sees her kill someone (sending him into a moral dilemma and making him reconsider piracy), Everitt finds out what's happening and forces Jacob to sell Maeve out (Jacob tries to protect her, but Everitt is a shitty father who resorts to threats and manipulation), and Maeve is captured and very nearly executed but she escapes.
Of course, I wouldn't leave my paras on a bad ending like that, so after a very convoluted storyline that probably only makes sense in my head lol, Jacob ends up risking his own life to save Maeve's and starts to earn back her trust (he also gets some.. important context about the guy she killed, which I'll probably explain later). It's not easy at first but eventually everything is ok again and they both get a bunch of character development :)
Picrews under the cut!
Maeve
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(she looks too friendly in these picrews lol.. tbh she's probably my meanest para. Feral cat kinda personality. Because we need more evil women in the world.)
Jacob
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few of Maeve's crew (Luciana, the first mate; Theo, the ship's doctor; and Nicholas, who I'll probably explain later but long story short he's dead and it has to do with the context I mentioned earlier)

Primarchs and if they use makeup
Mortarion - No. Just... no.
Fulgrim - Could do makeup-tutorials for a living, he's that good.
Angron - Does warpaint count?
Magnus - The best eyeliner you'll ever see plus eyeshadow.
Perturabo - No but Calliphone taught him how to help her with hers.
Alpharius - Uses makeup to disguise themselves.
Lorgar - Aims to use makeup in a god-honoring way.
Horus - No but he's a big fan of it, especially lipstick and lipgloss.
Konrad - Paints his lips with the blood of his victims.
Sanguinius - Just a little, some gold flecks on his cheeks and such.
Corvus - Swears that he doesn't but he does.
Ferrus - Surprisingly good at it due to watching Fulgrim.
Rogal - He barely even knows what an eyeliner is.
Vulkan - Does the soot and ash from his forge count?
Lion - Genuinely thought some people just looked like that.
Leman - Warpaint all the way. Would eat lipstick.
Jaghatai - Both makeup and warpaint. Uses winged eyeliner.
Roboute - His mom taught him well. Doesn't use his skills though.

she’s finally finished!! i’m obsessed with how she turned out, i think using eyeshadow to create the soot stains really bought the whole thing together. i’m also very pleased with her hair, i think i managed to capture the wildness of it from the show. i will probably recreate the cap at some point because i was running out of white yarn as i made it but for now i’m going to celebrate my victories. hope you all love her as much as i do

Do you think while Vi was unconscious while she healed from the wound on her torso that Caitlyn washed Vi’s face of the remaining black paint/ soot from the explosion and cleaned around Vi’s makeup or do you think she washed her face completely and then reapplied the eyeshadow n shit

this is my courier six oc. shes a teenage girl who ran away from home because she was tired of doing hard farm labor and thought she was sooo much cooler and smarter and better than her parents. The only job that would take her was courier work. She was warned it would kill her, but she thought fuck that im farm tough. She immediately got shot, lol. She has latin carved into her arm. She has photosensitive epilepsy as a result of brain damage from the shots, and there's a chance her brain will just crap out on her at any time. Constant migraines also follow her. As soon as Yes Man owns Vegas she fucks off to Alaska in hope that the cold and darkness will make her head hurt less. She uses soot as eyeshadow.

Eyeliner Vs Kajal – Understanding the Difference
Tumblr media
When talking about lining and highlighting your eyes, both kajal and eyeliner are essentials in your makeup kit. But although the two products may seem like they are the same at first glance, they have different uses and characteristics. Whether it's bold eyeliner makeup styles or the gentle, smoky kajal effect, being aware of how they differ will enable you to select the correct product to get the style you want.
Here's your complete guide to the world of eyeliner vs kajal. From their history and varieties to their applications and benefits, we've discussed everything you might want to know. Want to know which product suits you best? Read on to learn about the details of both products and see how Charmacy Milano's line of eyeliners and kajals can create your eye makeup looks.
What is Eyeliner?
An eyeliner is a cosmetic item that is applied to define and outline the eyes. It provides accuracy, producing precise lines and dramatic looks that accentuate your features. Available in different types, including liquid eyeliner, eyeliner pen, sketch eyeliner, and even glitter eyeliner, each providing a different finish.
History of Eyeliner
Eyeliner has its origins in Egypt, where men and women applied black kohl to shield their eyes from the sun and evil spirits. Over time, eyeliner developed as a beauty necessity, and today's eyeliners come in various formulas and finishes for unlimited options.
Applications of Eyeliner
Produces precise lines to define the upper and lower lash line
Ideal for dramatic eye makeup looks such as winged eyeliner or double-wing eyeliner
Adds depth to eyes for bold, eye-catching eyeliner makeup looks
Available in waterproof versions, which are long-lasting and smudge-proof
Types of Eyeliner
1. Liquid Eyeliner:
Suitable for sharp and defined lines, liquid eyeliner is ideal for dramatic winged makeup looks. Charmacy Milano's liquid eyeliner has high pigment and smooth application.
2. Eyeliner Pen:
Eyeliner pens, such as Charmacy Milano's, deliver precision and control. Ideal for beginners and professionals, an eyeliner pen helps you achieve smooth styles with ease.
3. Sketch Eyeliner:
Sketch eyeliners are perfect for intricate eyeliner makeup designs. They are smudge-proof enough for no-fuss applications yet blendable when needed.
4. Glitter Eyeliner:
If you’re feeling adventurous, glitter eyeliners add a touch of sparkle to your eye looks, ideal for parties and festivals.
5. Pencil Eyeliner:
Pencil eyeliners are versatile for both subtle and dramatic effects. They can be smudged for a softer finish or applied sharply for an edgy vibe.
6. Waterproof Eyeliner:
Waterproof eyeliner is a godsend for humid, hot weather. Charmacy Milano's waterproof eyeliner keeps your makeup in place throughout the day.
What is a Kajal?
A kajal, also commonly known as kohl, is an ancient cosmetic item applied primarily along the waterline to create a rich, smoky look for the eyes. In contrast to eyeliner, which tends to be tougher in texture, kajal is softer, thus suitable for sensitive areas such as the inner lash line.
History of Kajal
The application of kajal has been in existence for millennia in ancient India, Egypt, and the Middle East. Handmade from natural soot blended with oils, kajal was initially applied not just for cosmetics but also for its cooling effects and ability to prevent infection and the "evil eye."
Uses of Kajal
Used mainly on the waterline to achieve a smoky, smudged look
Mostly utilized for dramatic, soft eye makeup that enhances softness
Rich, creamy texture does not irritate the eyes and is perfect for sensitive skin
Can also be used as an eyeshadow base in smoky eye makeup
Types of Kajal
1. Pencil Kajal:
Pencil kajals are best for accuracy. Charmacy Milano's kajals define the waterline without pulling or irritating due to their creamy consistency.
2. Twist-Up Kajal:
A contemporary version that does not need sharpening, twist-up kajal is easy to use for busy individuals.
3. Smudge-Proof Kajal:
Ideal for wear throughout the day, smudge proof kajals, such as those from Charmacy Milano, remain intact from dawn to dusk.
4. Herbal Kajal:
Nature-inspired in form, herbal kajals contain naturally infused ingredients that are best for those who look for an organic, natural alternative to makeup.

How to Choose Between Eyeliner and Kajal
Your decision to use eyeliner or kajal depends on your makeup and the event. Here's a quick reference guide to assist you:
Use eyeliner for sharp and defined looks, like winged eyeliner or detailed graphic lines. Charmacy Milano’s Duo Drama Eyeliners are perfect for achieving precision.
Opt for kajal when aiming for a smokier or traditional look. It works beautifully for cultural events or soft daily makeup.
For versatile makeup, incorporate both! Use eyeliner on the lashline and kajal on the waterline for striking contrast.
Combining Eyeliner and Kajal with Other Products
Elevate your eye makeup by combining your eyeliner or kajal with supporting products. An eyeshadow palette helps add depth and mood to your looks. Think of applying a smokey gray shadow with your kajal or bold jewel colors with glitter eyeliner.

Smudge-Proof Kajal: The Ultimate Guide to Long-Lasting Eye Makeup
Finding that perfect kajal that doesn’t smudge is a universal struggle. Whether you’re getting ready for a busy day at work or a special evening out, no one wants raccoon eyes by midday. The best Smudge-proof kajal promises to deliver flawless eye makeup that lasts all day. Let's delve into what makes kajal truly smudge-proof and how to choose the best one for you.
Tumblr media
What is Smudge-Proof Kajal?
Kajal, a traditional eye cosmetic popular in South Asia, is used to enhance the eyes beauty. It’s typically made from a combination of soot and other natural ingredients. Smudge-proof kajal is formulated to resist smudging and fading, even in challenging conditions like heat, humidity, or oily skin. The key to its long-lasting formula lies in its unique composition and design.
Tips for Applying Smudge-Proof Kajal
Even the best smudge-proof kajal can’t work its magic without proper application. Here are some tips to ensure your kajal stays put:
Prep Your Eyes: Cleanse and moisturize your eyelids before applying kajal. This creates a smooth base for the kajal to adhere to.
Use Thin Layers: Instead of applying a thick layer of kajal all at once, build it up in thin layers. This not only looks more natural but also helps the kajal adhere better to the skin.
Set with Powder: To further enhance its longevity, set your kajal with a matching eyeshadow or translucent powder. This helps absorb any excess oils and prevents smudging.
Choosing the Right Smudge-Proof Kajal
With so many options available in the market, choosing the right smudge-proof kajal can be overwhelming. Here are some factors to consider:
Formula: Look for a kajal with a creamy yet long-lasting formula. Avoid overly dry or hard kajals, as they can be difficult to apply and may not adhere well to the skin.
Pigmentation: Opt for a deeply pigmented kajal that provides an intense colour payoff in a single swipe. This ensures your eye makeup stays vibrant and smudge-free
throughout the day.
Brand Reputation: Choose a kajal from a reputable brand known for its quality and long-lasting formulas. Reading reviews and seeking recommendations can also help you make an informed decision.
The Benefits of Using Smudge-Proof Kajal
Using smudge-proof kajal offers several benefits. These are -
Long-Lasting Wear
Smudge-proof kajal is formulated to stay put for hours on end. Whether you're going through a hectic day at work, attending back-to-back meetings, or dancing the night away at a special event, you can trust that your eye makeup will remain intact. Its unique formula resists fading and transferring, ensuring your eyes look freshly lined throughout the day or night.
No Touch-Ups Needed
One of the most frustrating aspects of wearing traditional kajal or eyeliner is the need for frequent touch-ups. Smudge-proof kajal eliminates this hassle. Once applied, it sets in place and remains there without smudging or fading.
Versatility
Smudge-proof kajal is not just about longevity and hassle-free wear; it's also incredibly versatile. Whether you prefer a subtle, natural look for daytime or a more dramatic, intense look for evening events, smudge-proof kajal can help you achieve both with ease.
Conclusion
Smudge-proof kajal is a game-changer for anyone who loves to wear eye makeup but hates dealing with smudging and fading. By choosing a high-quality eye kajal from Lotus Herbals, a popular skincare brand, with the right application techniques, you can enjoy flawless eye makeup that lasts all day. Whether you’re a kajal aficionado or new to the world of eye makeup, smudge-proof kajal is a must-have for achieving beautiful, long-lasting eye looks without the hassle of constant touch-ups.
