Feelin’ musical and in an AU mood tonight

I wanna talk about Arcana Lily more but, like, in terms of music this time. Cuz Persona fans know how great the music in that series is, and I wanna associate parts of Arcana Lily with really cool music that isn’t just a “chill relaxing stuff that Habit prolly plays over the Habitat’s PA system” sorta deal...though some of ‘em would be that, of course (and also the SFM soundtrack is lovely and most of it is on my relaxing playlist, apart from the one that y’all know isn;t ;-) ). So here I goooooooo with rough approximations for the mood I’m going for. Well, a couple examples are Exact, but at that point it’s just SFM soundtrack. X3

XD maybe that one would signify he’s not really taking things seriously? Final battle (again, not clarifying anything for potential super-spoilers): Death Wish (WARNING: video has flashing effects that might cause eyestrain or MUCH WORSE idk how serious the effect would be for you just take precautions and maybe like scroll down to the comments section if you click this and that’s a Thing you need to watch out for) The inevitable superboss fight with Carla because this has happened with every Velvet Room assistant since Elizabeth and like hell am I keeping paper lady out of this: Aria of the Soul (Ultimate mix)

uh i’ve got some Kit Content behind the cut but some of it is a little body horror-y, so maybe don’t look if u hate that. there’s no pictures or anything but !!! jic ya don’t wanna read it.

anyway

kit always seems to know somebody with some magical ability around, or knows how to make friends with them quickly in whatever town she’s stopping in, because she gets into a lot of trouble and fights, etc. it’s not at all unusual for her to have a limb hanging off or, like, having some part of her skin torn away from an attack that it exposes the muscle or even the bone beneath. it’s not safe for her to walk around looking like a zombie, so it’s always good to have someone around who can fix her up. 

sometimes, when she’s far away from any city or town or what have you, and can’t immediately get to any magical help, she’ll stitch herself up. she doesn’t really feel pain (she doesn’t really feel anything!) so it’s not so bad, but the first time she had to do it was really weird and she sort of felt a little ill but that was probably just all in her head. 

she takes her bandanna with her everywhere, and not just because it’s useful for Crime Stuff. not that she gets into a lot of that!!! but there’s been more than one occasion where she’s had her face really badly damaged and, like, there will be literal chunks of it missing, and she has to wear it so she doesn’t freak anybody out. especially skeeter! lmao! he didn’t know she was dead for ages and she really wanted to keep it a secret from him until it became something she couldn’t hide anymore. 

as well as not feeling anything, she doesn’t really have any bodily fluids? like, she doesn’t sweat and she doesn’t bleed or any of that. the only thing her clothes have to contend with is, like, dust and dirt and general stuff that gets clothes dirty when you’re travelling. 

animals fuckin hate her, also! she was really heartbroken when both of her cats sorta... rejected her as soon as she came back from the dead, though she sort of knew it was coming bc they avoided her family too lmao. her horse is sort of used to her but she still really creeps him out. it sucks because she really enjoys riding but, oh well! c’est la mort!!! 

she is technically possessed by an evil spirit that does occasionally make her do some really fucked up shit. she isn’t aware of any of the stuff she does when she gets properly taken over but, uh, it happens, and it really rattles her every time it does! she killed a guy that she needed information out of last time and it really fucked her up but, lol. 

she made it really clear to bernadette when she left that she probably wouldn’t be coming back and, ideally, after she kills bishop, she wants that to be the end. she wants to find some way to die and be reunited with her family. she truly goes thru hell the entire time she’s looking for bishop, tho, and nobody manages to kill her, so she thinks that there’s some sort of Ultra Specific Monster Killer Only way to kill her and... well, she kills the one monster hunter she knows. 

so, after bishop’s gone... kit isn’t. she’s just sort of around after that? forever? she keeps travelling, and stays with skeeter for a while, but he’s only mortal and he does eventually die. bernadette does too. kit doesn’t really let herself get attached to anybody after that because, frankly, it hurts too much? she’ll accidentally get attached to someone every now and then, but then they die, and it just sucks!

u ever think there might be Undertones to people joking that u, a black woman, is butch even if u don't id that way. bc like u can very well be chivalrous and warm and strong without iding as butch. if not then sorry! but i see the same thing far too much out of an assumption that black women are more masculine to not mention it to u jic

mmm my friends are white so it could be that but I think they joke mostly bc I am very masculine. I have been thinking that I am butch or maybe nb bc I do reject femininity and have a weird relationship with being a woman. I still don't know if it's fine as a bisexual to call myself butch since I've seen conflicting sides since the discourse first started, but I think it's at least something to strive for. I appreciate the concern I guess but my friends that joke abt it are bi as well and are sorta warming me up to the idea of being butch thru it. There definitely could be racist undertones but it never really appeared that way to me and it's been helpful almost

anyways they’re base game versions of themselves, so Lamont’s not a vampire, and Paolo has no EP content (idk what would happen if u have two Paolo’s in game if u have GT tho 😕). They’re loaded with some skills so they won’t burn down the house (or at least Lamont won’t), but do not have any skills outside the base game. No vampiric lore for Brink, or DJing for Rocca :V

A bit of clumsy history buff, with a bit of charisma hiding up his sleeve. He’s the closest I could get to remaking the Vampire Gamepack poster boy that everyone wants but EAxis didn’t make cos. He’s dead (spoiler alert). APPARENTLY. He was part of a founding party of 25, but they all “disappeared” and Vladislaus was so “moved” by it he refused to mention anything more..

I tweaked his face minimally (I still wanted him to look like him), gave him a haircut (ish), septum and ... gap tooth. I have a weakness for the latter two. I switched up his DJ skill for Piano and Guitar, he has a bit of mixology (ode to his old Partihaus roots) and yeah, he has no cooking skill. Somehow he managed to go sim weeks living off yogurt, then tried to make grilled cheese, nearly killed himself trying, then mom friend Jade came to the rescue.

He probably has the most cc because I had to swap out EP hairs for CC ones..

job hunting fucking sucks

the holidays start for me next week (thank fuck) but that means i am running out of time to find another job. My original plan was to find something before i hand in my resignation (which i’m going to do after christmas) so that i could spend the first part of the year settling into the new job and then during the middle of the year sign up for uni (probably...maybe). but if i can’t find another job then idk what im gonna do cause like i cant go back to not having an income but also i kinda hate where im currently working. 

that being said i’ve sorta been thinking about a plan b jic i don’t find another job soon. i guess if that happens i’ll just not resign and come back to work here and try and find somewhere else to work mid year and probably make it clear to my boss that i don’t intend to stay longer than that. cause like i also kinda feel bad about leaving my job in its current state - i can almost guarantee that next year they will want to switch back to our previous digital video system and it feels kinda shitty to dump someone new in that situation. plus i’ve kinda come up with a plan on how to tackle that switch in case i am still here?? 

mostly i just need to make sure i keep getting paid and i’ll work whatever job will make that happen even if i kinda hate it
