also if you check the ages on their IDs you can calculate that I assume the story takes place in 2012 but this kind of ID was first issued in 2016…….. unfortunately I was in too deep with forging their IDs to start from scratch ✌️

They're rivals. They're lovers. They don't have a label on them. They wish the other was gone. They couldn't live without each other. They have their hands wrapped around each other's neck, it's undecided why. No one knows what they are. They can't stand each other. They'd die without each other. You'd have to go through one to reach the other. They work in a rhythm people haven't yet deciphered. They don't understand each other. They don't need to talk to communicate. They know each other's favourite food that they memorised years ago, but can't bring themselves to have a proper conversation.

They're an enigma, a puzzle made with weird jagged edges, and they're made for each other.

hc that Dazai and Chuuya have run into each other at the bar several times too many, and Chuuya keeps his head down and avoids eye contact with Dazai because he just wants to be alone and decompress from a long day of work, while Dazai's at the counter and subtly peeking at Chuuya from the corner of his eye looking really, really smug.

Bonus points if Chuuya happens to be out with anyone else like Hirotsu and is in the middle of venting about something when he keeps getting asked why he's suddenly tense like he's about to snap.

Chuuya's just like: You don't want to know, but whatever you do, don't look

Turns out Dazai had been listening in on the entire conversation and trying not to snicker as Chuuya complained about how he was stuck in his office sending out half a dozen emails and getting no response back on something that was time-sensitive so he had to hunt down the people in person for an answer.

The next time Chuuya looks, Dazai's already gone, but he felt a phantom tap on his shoulder. And also the rest of his wine had suddenly emptied.

Soukoku Playlist Challenge!!
