Songs that remind me of The Doctor and Donna and why:

´We Go Together´ by David Tennant and Catherine Tate = you know just the fact that they are singing it makes it a perfect Doctor and Donna song, but if you listen to the lyrics it kind of explains their dynamic and stuff.

´Camel by Camel´ by Sandy Marton = the lyrics in this one is super Donna Noble coded I swear. I mean: I try not to remember, no memories I'm looking for a new dimension, new life to live (Camel by camel) Mysterious places, perfect harmony (Camel by camel) The desert route is changing my destiny...perfectly summs up Donnas life after Jurney´s End.

´Everybody Wants To Rule The World´ by Tears For Fears = Can´t explain this one that well but it just gives off their dynamic in the whole series. It gives me strong DoctorDonna vibes.

´Hey Brother´ by Avicii = I do ship them romantically but this song is them I swear. The lyrics just fits.

´Sigh No More´ by Catherine Tate and David Tennant = Again, sung by them it just is the Doctor and Donna song.

´Anti-Hero´ by Taylor Swift = More Donna than The Doctor. Strong Donna vibes.

´Wildest Dreams´ by Taylor Swift = This one reminds me of ´The Runaway Bride´ when they are looking at the creation of the world and he is looking at her like she is creation of his universe and so on. He also is tall and handsome as hell.

´Something Just Like This´ by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay = Again can´t explain this one so well, it just gives off the vibes that The Doctor is singing this after he lost Donna the first time.

´What Was I Made For?´ by Billie Eilish = More Donna than The Doctor again. STRONG STRONG Donna Noble vibes. I imagine this is how she felt when her mother yelled at her for not being good enough.

´Pompeii´ by Bastille = Yeah I added this just because of the ´Fires of Pompeii´ episode.

´Things We Lost In The Fire´ by Bastille = ´Jurney´s End´ when Donna was locked in the TARDIS. Just this.

´F**kin´ Perfect´ by P!nk = Can imagine the Doctor singing this to Donna when she talks about herslef not being so important.

So this is it for now, if I had more I will reblog this and add more songs.

Also this is just my opinion. For me these songs are perfect for them, doesn´t have to be same for anyone else <3

I’ve been tagged by @sssammich and it’s hard to say no to sssammich. It has nothing to do with the fact that I am procrastinating on something. Not at all.

Currently 14

2. What’s your total AO3 words count?

At present, just Supercorp, but I do have an unfinished Wynonna Earp fic in the mix.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Absolutely! I try to respond to all comments because anyone that takes the time to read my work and let me know they did is worth my time. I value and appreciate the comments.  

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

HA. Well, I don’t write a lot of angsty stuff. I am working on venturing into some angst since I tend to lean more into fluffy stories with a few twists. Hopefully I will be branching out into some angst with happy ending type stories. We shall see.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Tough to say…LOL. So far, all of mine have happy endings. I have one that is open-ended because I am planning a sequel, but yeah…pick one. :)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

So far, not really. I did get a mildly rude comment once, but overall, everyone has been kind.

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Yes. I’m not sure how I would classify it? It’s not strictly vanilla, but not too adventurous either. At least not yet? It’s a work in progress. I’m still finding my footing in that arena. ;)

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not exactly? My fae AU has Diana Prince and Felicity Smoak as secondary characters, but I think that’s the only one that I’ve brought in from outside the show. I’m not opposed to writing them, it just hasn’t been part of any ideas yet.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Hmmm, not that I am aware of…

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Also not that I am aware of…though I would be flattered and honored if asked.

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

One that has been published already – no. I am co-writing one with some friends right now though (@lovesastateofmind1 & @chaotic-super - I'm looking at you).

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Supercorp, hands down. There hasn’t been another ship that has grabbed me by the neck like they have.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

HA – Easy. My Wynonna Earp fic. Unfortunately, I lost the momentum/interest in it and have no plans to get back to it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Ummm, descriptive writing, creating imagery? Not sure.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Getting too far into the minutiae of things, being impatient with story development.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I haven’t done a lot of it. I used a version of combined Irish & Scottish Gaelic in CWA – Fae AU and haven’t used it much since. It was fun to do though and I will likely use it in another WIP I have brewing.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Wynonna Earp. I was very late to the world of fanfiction and fandoms, but really enjoy it.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

That is a very difficult one to answer. I say it would be a close race between the Home Series and CWA. I think I am most proud of CWA.

1. Are you named after anyone?

No. 

2. When was the last time you cried?

A few weeks ago. 2023 has been pretty sad so far.

3. Do you have kids?

Nope, I’m the cool aunt/godmother.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I think I do a little too much. I only realize I use it a bit too much when I talk to children. They don’t understand it, so I’m very confusing to them.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

I think it’s their vibes. Good or bad. It’s hard to pretend everything’s alright when I feel the bad vibes.

6. What color are your eyes?

Marsh green

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings, forever! I’ve never been a fan of scary movies, they get into my head and then I remember them all the time, so no, not for me.

8. Any special talents?

I’m pretty good at recognizing the voices of voice actors and actresses and movie soudtracks. 

9. Where were you born?  

In France.

10. What are your hobbies?

Drawing, Writing, making dioramas. I also love to listen to good movie soundtracks

11. Do you have any pets?  

I’d love to have a cat or a dragon or both.

12. What sports do you play/have you played?  

I’ve never really played any sport. I liked playing handball when we played in school

I’m 5′4″. Which doesn’t mean anything to me, I had to convert it. I don’t measure in feet :D

Literature, and Foreign Languages (English and Italian) 

15. Dream job?  

I would love a creative job. It would be cool to be payed to make props or set pieces for movies. Or be a writer.

So I was a fan of Ava and Sister Beatrice in season 1 but I didn’t realize how much until I watched Season 2. The slow burn is real in season 2 but it’s so good. Normally when a show adds a male character in, the LGBT storyline kind of takes the way side, but not in this one. It’s made clear right from the start that Ava likes Beatrice and Beatrice likes Ava but the two of them are so focused on protecting each other, they don’t stop to experience what’s happening. That is until Ava goes into a fight she is expecting to die from. Then it all comes out. Wow. I can’t think of a single storyline that’s like this one. I absolutely loved it. So much so that I’m about 3,100, words into writing a post season 2 storyline because if you watched past the couple credits, you saw that it was clear Ava came back. You don’t see it, but you know it.

In episode 2x04 before the church fight, I love how Ava and Beatrice got into that church via different means. Ava played along with the whole “I want to be saved by Adriel” by accepting him, and Beatrice chose violence, literally throwing the man into the church. Ava was just like “Si, Si, yes, awesome.” And Beatrice probably got asked the question, and immediately punched him in the face.

I think one of the best behind the scenes things about Season 2 of Warrior Nun is that they wrote it before Season 1 even aired. So they had full intentions to make Avatrice canon, and have them hanging out in Switzerland for two months, getting closer day by day, living in an apartment, sleeping on one bed, Ava falling from a hotel, then falling love, all of it. They didn’t write it knowing that there were people that loved the fandom, they did it because that was the plan all along. So… now knowing how much of a following there is for Avatrice, I really want a season 3 to see just how far they take it. How do you write a season knowing that your ship, that you had created, actually is well loved among a lot of people? Im very curious.

Keep watching Warrior Nun. I don’t even know what playthrough I’m on now, but don’t stop.

My #1 post of 2022

Next to Beatrice being tranquilized in 2x03, one of the most interesting parts of that episode was that Father Vincent had no clue what Ava and Beatrice were doing in Switzerland. So much so that when he caught them in Madrid, he immediately tranq’ed Beatrice thinking that would be enough to capture Ava. But what he didn’t realize was that Beatrice had been training Ava, so she was just as powerful of a fighter as Beatrice is.

In most things, video games, tv, whatever, you try to subdue the one that will cause you problems. In this situation, Father Vincent assumed Beatrice was the power player here, which she definitely is, but he wasn’t expecting Ava to actually have more of a grip on her halo powers. Had he gone after Ava first, he might have captured her… but I suspect not because as previously stated, there is a reason he went after Beatrice first. He knows he probably couldn’t beat her in a fight.

Basically, what I love most about this show is that there are so many angles to everything. You could look at a moment in a bunch of different ways, and still find it so interesting. At least that’s what I’m finding in all of my rewatches.

Happiness 8: Run away with me

“You work too hard.”

“I work just enough to keep this place from rack and ruin, thank you very much.”

She’s staring intensely at some spreadsheet or whatever, likely trying to convince Kara that she’s fine, but the fatigue in her voice, the slump of her shoulders, and the dark circles around her eyes tell a different story. Kara shakes her head in exasperation. Uncrossing her arms, she eases off the doorframe and walks over to the desk. She closes the laptop, unhooks the phone, and carefully lifts Lena off her chair. Any other day, she would be complaining, but not tonight. Tonight, Lena wraps her arms around Kara’s neck and allows herself to be carried to the couch with nary a peep of protest. Kara lays her head on her lap, and starts to gently scratch her scalp. Almost immediately, Lena relaxes. Her breathing slows and the tension in her jaw evaporates.

The weight of the world she’s trying to change melts away, and all that’s left is Lena.

And she is beautiful.

“Run away with me.” Kara whispers.

Lena smiles. “Kara, don’t be ridiculous,” she says with a soft laugh, touching her chin to Kara’s knuckles. “You know we can’t do that.”

“Okay. Run away with me for a few weeks.”

Lena slowly opens her eyes at that. She looks like she might be considering it, so Kara continues.

“Come on, what do you say? You and me, anywhere you wanna go.”

Lena’s eyes shine.

“Anywhere?”

The trip to Argo takes a day of planning and 46 hours of travel time. Lena spends half the trip asleep.

It’s Alura who greets them when they land.

“Mom, you rememb—”

“Lena! Oh how wonderful of you to visit us!”

The older woman embraces her like an old friend, and gazes upon her like a daughter. And Kara’s heart feels like it might burst.

For the next few days, Kara feels like a museum guide in charge of an overcurious guest. But she doesn’t mind. Everything fascinated Lena. She was so eager to learn all that she could, and spent most of her time either poking around with some tech or falling asleep at her translator tablet. Kara finds her in such a state one day, seated like a shrimp in the study, her dark hair falling over her face. She takes the device, bookmarks the page (3277, energy… dark matter), and moves Lena to a more comfortable location.

She’s startled to find her father next to her, Lena’s reading glasses in hand.

“She is exceptional.”

“She is.”

“I’m glad you found each other. A match like yours is rare.”

Kara’s eyes widen at what Zor-El must be implying.

“Oh. Oh no, it’s not—”

Her father only gives her a cryptic nod and softly claps a warm hand to her shoulder. He plants a kiss to the crown of her head, then puts Lena’s glasses in her palm.

She’s walking through the courtyard one morning, when she spots her mother near a patch of flowering hedges. Not unusual, she loves those flowers. What is unusual is that those flowers are symbolic of the union of two souls.

And that she’s talking about them to Lena.

Lena approaches her one evening, asks to meet her in the gardens.

“So… Your mom,” She starts. “We were talking the other day and she uh, she thinks that we’re…” Lena’s hands flail about helplessly between the two of them.

Oh, Rao.

“Yeah, funny, my dad thinks so too… But don’t worry, I didn’t—”

“No, yeah, it’s fine… I mean, I’m not…”

This might be the most awkward, most embarrassing conversation in her entire life, Kara thinks. Not even that first date with what’s-his-name from junior high could top this.

Her feelings for Lena were never easy to deal with. She’d always resorted to avoidance whenever she was forced to face their existence. And now she’s finding that she might be exposed, by her own parents, no less…

“Sorry about that. They can be a little… nosy.”

She decides to have a talk with them later, ask them to never bring it up again. But then she glances sideways at Lena, sees how the fading rays of the red sun bring out the color of her eyes, hears the music in her quiet laugh, and--

And Kara wants that. Not for a few hours every week. She wants that every day, for the rest of her life.

“Would it be so horrible, though?” she asks. “Being… together. With me?”

Lena’s gaze meets hers for a moment, then turns downward to look at her own hands. When she looks up again, the smile Lena gives her leaves no room for misinterpretation, and hope swells bright and loud in Kara’s chest.

“I don’t think it would be horrible at all.”

“Kara, darling!” Alura calls out in Kryptonian. “Supper is ready.”

Kara yells out a response and turns back to Lena. She tentatively reaches out to her.

Lena takes her hand, and threads their fingers together.

Dinner gives way to (an only slightly competitive round of) Kryptonian chess, gives way to a quiet walk under the stars, and Kara figures this was the best dumb idea she’d ever had. Lena’s head rests on her shoulder, Kara turns her cheek into her hair. She looks down at their joined hands and Kara thinks she’s found something here, in the softness of the moon’s pale glow.

It started out as running away.

Now it felt like she was coming home.

It shouldn’t be this awkward. They’ve been friends for years, best friends. But the tree is almost completely decorated and Nia has gone in search of the board games Kara keeps stored inside a cupboard with sliding doors, and they still haven’t said two words to each other. They’ve come close a couple times. Almost knocking into each other as they try to hang an ornament in the same spot. Kara’s mouth opening and closing, before her cheeks flush pink and she settles on an awkward smile and rushes away, pretending to deal with something else, somewhere else in her apartment.

It makes Lena want to scream.

“Care to tell me what’s going on between you and Kara?” Sam ambushes Lena where she’s standing between the Christmas tree and the window, taking her time hanging an ornament.

“There’s nothing going on between me and Kara.” Lena nearly sighs, as she straightens her ornament and zeroes in on a bunch of red bulbs clustered together.

“You two have been dancing around each other all night.” Sam watches Lena as she starts rearranging the cluster.

“She asked me out last week.” Lena quietly admits, as she takes a red ornament and puts a silver one its place and moves the red ornament to a new spot.

“Finally.” Sam breathes as she tries to smother a smile as they both stare at the tree. “How did it go?”

“It didn’t.” Lena’s eyes flicker towards Kara, eyes catching as she whispers to Alex, their foreheads almost touching. For a moment Lena wonders if they’re having the same conversation. If Sam and Alex planned this divide and conquer in an attempt to figure out why they aren’t talking to each other.

“Really? It was bad?” Lena looks back at Sam in time to find her smile fall in disappointment. “I’m sorry Lena, I thought-“

“No.” Lena cuts Sam off before she can continue on her line of thought. She doesn’t even want to entertain the idea of a bad date with Kara. “She asked me out, but she didn’t actually make a plan.”

Lena almost shakes her head at the memory. How Kara had stuttered nervously when she asked if Lena would go out on a date with her. How her own heart had beat faster when she realized what was happening. How elated she had felt after Kara left her office with a bounce in her step, and finally how it all came crashing down when she realized that she had said yes, but they didn’t actually make a date.

“But you’ve made plans since?” Sam lifts her eyebrows when Lena doesn’t reply. “Right, Lena?”

“We…haven’t actually talked since she asked.” Lena admits, crossing her arms over her chest to stop herself from continuing to rearrange the Christmas ornaments.

“At all?”

“Things have been busy at L-Corp.” Lena defends, annoyed that she needs to point that out to her own CFO. “And it’s not like Kara isn’t busy.”

Sam, bless her, does nod in understanding as she squeezes Lena’s arm before she ducks out from their hiding spot behind the tree.

It continues to be awkward as they all settle in to play board games in the twinkly light of the Christmas tree. Kara planting herself beside Lena as they play monopoly. Their arms brushing, sneaking glances at each other, only talking when their turns require it.

“I’m getting more wine.” Lena stands, prying herself away from Kara’s warmth. “Anyone else?” Lena offers even as she already heads towards the kitchen.

“Me please.” Alex holds up her empty glass, surprised when Sam takes it from her and holds it out towards Kara.

Kara glances between them in confusion as she takes the glass before finally standing and following Lena towards the kitchen.

“Oh.” Lena startles as Kara appears with the empty glass in hand. “I was going to bring out the bottle.”

“Sam handed it to me.” Kara shrugs, as she puts the glass down and slides it closer to Lena.

“Of course she did.” Lena shakes her head as she fills the second wine glass.

“I’m sorry if tonight’s been awkward.” Kara says gently, as she continues to linger at the end of the island. “If I’ve been awkward.”

Lena lifts her glass to take a measured sip as she watches Kara slip closer out of the corner of her eye. They stand in awkward silence as Lena takes another sip before putting down her glass to recork the bottle.

When she turns, she finds Kara closer than she anticipated, shoulder brushing against her chest as Kara looks at something above her. Lena follows her eyeline to a small sprig hung from the kitchen light.

“Mistletoe.” Kara breathes, as Lena watches her. Bright blue eyes slowly lowering from the small plant to focus on her.

“Can I kiss you?” Kara asks so quietly Lena almost misses it. Her heart pounding as Kara inches closer when she nods. One hand moving from the island to settle heavily on her hip. Kara’s other hand gently grazing up her arm as she cups the back of Lena’s neck. Their foreheads slowly coming together as Kara plays with the hair that’s fallen loose from her bun.

Kara slowly moves forward, noses bumping as she presses their lips together. It’s soft and chaste, but Lena falls into it like she’s drowning. Gasping for air when Kara pulls back. Her own hand snaking to the hem of Kara’s sweater to keep her from going very far.

They stay like that for a moment, Kara’s hand moving to gently stroke Lena’s lower back as they stay pressed together in a hug.

“Will you stay over tonight?” Kara asks softly, lips brushing against Lena’s shoulder. “Just sleeping. I’ve missed you.”

“I’d love too.” Lena whispers back as she pulls Kara in a little tighter.

When they go back to the living room their fingers are intertwined, and everyone tries to smother their smiles as they pretend that they weren’t paying them any attention despite none of the game pieces having moved.

When everyone finally shuffles towards the door with sleepy goodbyes. Alex pulls Lena into a tight embrace, whispering a quiet Merry Christmas in her ear before she lets her go to do the same with Kara. Sam taking the moment to pull Lena into a tight hug too and whisper in her ear.

“You’re welcome.”

Lena felt Kara sigh against her back and let her eyes slipped closed. Kara rocked the hammock with her foot and dropped a kiss to her head.

“Me too.”

"Did I just say that?"

Lena starts to laugh, shocked and maybe a little embarrassed at the thoughtless slip of her tongue, but Kara just looks so beautiful under the starry lights of the sky, with her dark, boundless blue eyes and Lena just-- she couldn't help herself.

Kara’s hand cups her face and Lena stops, letting out a deep breath as she leans into the warm touch. “Don’t take it back,” Kara whispers, brushing her thumb gently over Lena’s cheek.

“I won't,” Lena promises, leaning close so that Kara’s forehead rests against hers.

A long moment's silence pass between them when blue eyes eventually fall shut and Kara quietly and finally breathes out, “I love you too.”
