It had been a month and a half since the two agreed to live together and it's been... Rocky to say the least.

"He puts bread in the fridge!" (Name) Groaned angrily, sitting with Prentiss in her car while they went to get lunch to satisfy (name)s newly developed cravings. "He is a weirdo, other than fridge bread is everything good?"

Minus Spencer avoiding him or treating him like glass and somehow keeping him at an arms length... Everything was fine...

"Just tell him you wanna be with him!" Morgan groaned out and Spencee looked less than thrilled at his best friends words, ever since (name) and him moved into the house together, (name)s scent was hard to ignore and frankly driving Spencer up the wall in the most annoyingly best way possible.

He was just tired of how his alpha reacted to it all, his body practically moving on its own to try and make sure (name) was well cared for always only for him to snap back and push away.

"I don't want to be with him! My alpha is just reacting to the fact he's carrying my children! It's purely biological!" Morgan just stared unimpressed with him, it was clear as day that Spencer had been developing feelings but was too far up his own ass to figure it out. Who would have figured that the smartest man in the room would be so dumb. "Well how are things going at home?" Morgan asked the other who groaned "he keeps moving things, always complaining how it doesn't feel right"

It was another form of nesting, especially with pregnant people. Instead of just making cute nests, they cleaned the house with an aggression like no other and treated the furniture like they were playing sims. (Name) Was no exception, rearranging the house and subsequently dragging Reid along as the Alpha didn't want him hurting himself or the babies "he's really putting you to work" Morgan teased much to the other alphas frustration.

Giggling could be heard across the bullpen, the two looking over to see (name) and Prentiss with a few sandwiches "there you two are, where have you guys been off too?" Morgan teased while (name) took a sandwich out of the plastic bag and handed it to Reid "you didn't eat breakfast" (name) said simply and the Alpha looked down at the sandwich from the deli a few blocks down, the sticker on it showing it had everything he liked on it.

"O-oh uh... Thanks" (name) looked confused at the doctor but didn't pay him too much mind as his belly rumbled and immediately went to his desk to go eat his monstrosity of a sandwich, everyone both horrified and fascinated at the combination of things between some sourdough.

"Pregnancy is a fascinating yet horrifying thing" Spencer said taking a bite of his sandwich while his mate enjoyed his foo-- not his mate.

They weren't mates.

"I heard he seduced him and baby trapped him"

"Well I heard that he blackmailed him"

(Name) Ignored the gossip and whispers about him, Hitch needing to use the restroom and (name) walking ahead back to the alphas office "clearly he had to do... Favors to get this job" if it wasn't him being accused of being a whore it was something...

He loved his pups but he wished it was different and he could have done this on his own time...

"(Name)?" Spencer's voice broke him out of his thoughts, a look of concern on his face... Spencer... God despite being well him, (name) would be a liar if he said he didnt feel attraction to him. "Are you alright?" The Alpha asked concerned, his alpha slipping out subconsciously and (name) just sighed at him. "I'm fine" (name) said calmly, these comments weren't anything new to him and he didn't need his alpha by technicality going all bubble wrap and worry even if it wasn't actually him caring... It was nice though he wouldn't lie.

Another mission, another plane ride.

"You sure he's good?" JJ asked worried while (name) threw up in the washroom "just morning sickness, it will pass" spencer mumbled, already having water and crackers ready.

"Remember (name), you are not to leave our sides" hotch warned seriously and (name) nodded, a calm and casual look on his face and to everyones surpise went closer to Reid, gently looping his arm around the alphas.

"What? It's easier to just have you be seen as my alpha to avoid issues" (name) explaimed but Spencer didn't decide to push, the omegas scent just faint enough for Spencer to smell and his back straightened slightly because of it.

(Name) Felt eyes on him, his belly and the whispers already began "the Omega do something?" A cop asked and hotch glared at him "FBI, we are here on special business, this is my assistant" the Alpha was deeply protective of his assistant and would not tolerate any harassment of him, especially with what happened last time. (Name) Seemed unphased and frankly more calm than he should as the team went to go see the Sheriff to collect more information and begin the investigation.

The sheriff was an older alpha, mustache and rougher skin from not wearing sunscreen in the hot weather, years of work showing on each wrinkle "my, the big guns in our little town? I'm honored" his voice laced with nothing but pure sarcasm and disdain while combing through the team slowly before looking at (name) with an expression that the Omega couldn't recognize "didn't know they let 'megas in the FBI" he grumbled and (name) bit his cheek "he's my assistant" hotch said seriously "we both want those teens to be found, you want this to be over and we want to do our jobs now... Shall we get to work?"

"Fine but the omega doesn't see the evidence" the sheriff said simply and (name) mentally began counting "hes not a cop, he's a citizen and this is under my rules and besides... You know state laws with omegas 'round these parts, don't you?"

"..." Hotch looked ready to explode, (name) never seen him so furious "Reid, take (name) to his hotel" hotch hissed out, eyes not leaving the sheriff's while the rest of the team looked pissed to say the least.

(Name) Was silent, ignoring the snickers from the cops around them while they went to one of the SUVs, Reid's knuckles white while helping (name) in "I can't believe it!" The Alpha grumbled and (name) shrugged "you get used to it... The amount of jobs I was denied for being an Omega... I was shocked hotch took a chance on me" it's why he worked so hard, he always wanted his boss and the person he admired deeply to know he was capable.

That he was worthy of being there.

"You shouldn't be used to this!"

"Trust me, I wish I wasn't but I'm not an alpha who has every door open for him" like Reid, an attractive alpha who was smarter than every person in the room "hell if it weren't for my sister, I wouldn't have even been able to apply without it getting tossed"

"Whose your sister?" (Name) Was happy to distract the genius who seemed genuinely curious about (name)s life "well she's more my step sister but her names Temperance, her parents took me in when I was five... She's the closest family I have"

"Wait... Temperance as in temperance Brennan?" Reid was incredulous at this, how did he not know that his friend was related to his mate?!

Well to be fair, they weren't blood related so they wouldn't look the same...

"She contacted Boothe and he got into contact with hotch who was willing to give me an interview..."

"If... You didn't get the job, what would you have done?"

"My sister would have dragged me to be her assistant or something... I avoided it though because i know her and I would butt heads, she mind of reminds me of you" (name) mumbled and Reid didn't know if he was touched or not but took it as a compliment anyways "I just can't believe Hotch just sent you off like that though!"

"Oh he didn't, he is sending me all the information once Garcia scans it through"

Oh.

Well now Reid felt silly.

"Can we get pizza? Babies want pizza with honey"

when the case ended i went back home. james was kind enough to return my key, which surprised me, but im glad he wasn’t petty enough to steal it. 

or at least i thought he wasn’t petty.

he might not have been petty enough to lock me out of my apartment but he was petty enough to trash the place.

when i got home my dishes were smashed on the floor, a few of my paperback books were torn up and my tv was gone. 

“jesus.” i murmured through an exhausted sigh. 

i decided to call him. 

“why are you calling me?” 

“i just got home and my place is a mess. disaster would be a better word actually.” i told him. 

he laughed lightly on the other end. “what the hell are you talking about?” 

i scoffed, crossing one arm over my chest. “you know damn right what i’m talking about, so don’t play dumb.” i stepped carefully over the glass pieces that used to be my dishes. i stared at one of my books on the floor, the cover of it was torn in half. “why’d you do this? i haven’t given you a reason to be this much of an asshole.” 

james said something to someone on his end of the phone. “i have my own reasons.”

“what reason is that?” 

“why do you want to know?” 

“so that i can determine weather or not to call the police on you for vandalism.” 

james sputtered out a laugh. “vandalism? please! you wouldn’t call the cops on me.” i swallowed thickly because he was right. “i got you.” he said in a sing-song tone i hated.

i hung up on him. he didn’t deserve a goodbye, or to be able to contact me again. i blocked his number and deleted it. 

i took some time to breathe and process my surroundings before my phone was once again pressed to my ear. 

“hello?” spencer sounded cheerful. and i hated to be calling about this, because i knew he wasn’t going to stay happy. “you there?”

“yeah, i’m here.” i nodded. i had no idea why i called him if i’m being honest. 

“you okay?” he already knew. his tone changed. 

i closed my eyes and sighed. “i’m great spencer.” i almost said it through my teeth, walking back to my kitchen to find a broom. “i’m just- ow, shit!” my food came down on a large piece of what used to be a drinking glass. 

“what happened?” spencer’s voice was faint as i tried to balance on one foot in the middle of a floor filled with glass.

i looked around for a safe path away from the mess. “i stepped in a piece of glass.” i answered him, carefully limping over to my couch and flipped over the back to lay against the cushions. i whimpered when i bumped my injured foot with my unharmed one. 

spencer shuffled around on his end of the phone. i heard keys jingling and his door opening. “i’ll be over in twenty minutes.” 

“spence, no, im fine, it’s just…” i looked at my foot from where its propped up on my knee and pulled a face. “it’s fine, i’ll be fine.” i assured him though it was meant more for myself. 

“i’m still coming over.” he replied. “don’t touch the glass.” 

the line went quiet and i knew he hung up. 

i groaned in pain, watching my blood soak through my sock and drip onto my light grey rug. “shit.” i leaned back into the cushions in pain and exhaustion. 

i can replace the rug. 

spencer got to my place is record time, coming in the already open door because i forgot to close it. 

“what happened?” his voice had me sitting up in shock, whipping my head around to look at him. i shot him a look, silently asking ‘why ask if you already know?’ spencer frowned as he carefully walked across the apartment to me. when he saw the glass in my food he pulled a face similar to the one i did when i first saw it. 

“before you ask if i was watching where i was going, i wasn’t.” i laughed with pain laced in my voice. he didn’t laugh. “it’s not that bad.” 

he sat beside me carefully and leaned toward my foot to look at it better. “do you have a medical kit?” his eyes studied how the glass stabbed into me as he asked. 

“surprisingly yes.” i gestured back to my bedroom. “i have one under the bathroom sink, it’s in the back on the left.” 

spencer stood up to retrieve the kit in less than thirty seconds. he set the contents of the kit on the coffee table before looking at me. “i’m gonna have to pull it out.” 

i nodded, already knowing that. i sat up a little. “okay. let’s get it over with.” i breathed heavily in and out while spencer put on latex gloves that were in the kit. he barely touched the glass and i winced. 

“sorry.” he muttered softly while grabbing the glass between his index and thumb. i screwed my eyes shut and squeezed the couch cushions in my hands. “i’m gonna count-“

“don’t fucking count, just do it.” i laughed due to anxiety, eyes still closed. 

spencer breathed deeply and then there was a sharp pain that made me lurch forward, humming in pain. 

i opened my eyes to watch as spencer quickly grabbed a piece of gauze to press it against my foot. he held it there with one hand as he met my eyes, sighing deeply. “thanks for taking care of me, doc.” i joked. 

he smiled at me, shaking his head. “don’t thank me yet, i’m not done.” 

“do you think i’ll need stitches?” i nodded at my foot. i leaned forward once the pain went down a little. 

spencer shrugged and reached for the shard that used to be in my foot. he held it up for me to see. half of it was covered in blood and the other half was a pretty shade of light green. 

i frowned. “i really liked that cup.” 

spencer laughed slightly, setting the glass back down. “you might need stitches.” he answered my initial question. “but i can do that for you. i know you don’t like hospitals.” 

i smiled at his words, surprised that he remembered that. but, he remembers everything. 

“thank you.” 

“i told you not to thank me.” he reminded. 

my eyes rolled. “too bad, i’m thanking you anyway. get over it.” 

he laughed again, just a short huff of air through his nose as he pulled the gauze away from my foot. 

he took some scissors and cut my sock off my foot, which i protested because i really like these socks, but he told me he’d replace them. when he saw the extent of the damage he determined stitches would be best prior to disinfecting the wound and getting some thread and a needle. 

“this is gonna hurt.”

“well no shit.” i sunk into my couch, just ready for this to be over. i looked at spencer while he held the needle in one hand while looking at me in confusion. “sorry… i’m ready to not be doing this anymore.” 

“i’ll be done really quick, i promise.” he nodded at me. “it’s only a half inch long and a quarter inch deep-“ 

“stop talking, i love you, but stop talking.” i dropped my head back with closed eyes. 

spencer cleared his throat, processing my words as best he could before starting with the stitches. it really didn’t take that long but it did hurt like hell. 

“okay, i’m done.” spencer wrapped gauze around my foot before taking off his latex gloves, gathering everything with my blood on it and threw it away in my garbage can. 

“thank god.” i sighed, standing up to limp into the kitchen behind him, careful to avoid every fragment of glass on the floor this time. 

spencer watched me pull a broom out of the space between my fridge and the wall. “let me sweep.” he held out a hand for me to give up the broom. i glared at him. “don’t fight me on this.” he had a warning tone. 

i gave it up and decided to clean all my destroyed books. i carefully picked up all the pages that were ripped out so harshly.

“this one was my favorite.” i was just talking to myself but spencer stopped what he was doing to look at me. i felt his eyes on me so i smiled up at him before flipping through the worn book. i looked for the page in the front with the author’s signature on it but that was missing. my eyes scanned the floor frantically for the missing page, looking for the signature in deep blue ink i’ve looked at so many times. 

“what’re you looking for?” spencer stopped sweeping again. 

i glanced at him briefly, crawling over the floor, flipping pages over and looking through the stack of them i’d made, just in case i skipped over it. “i’m looking for a page.” 

“what page?” spencer joined me on the floor. 

i shook my head. “the autographed page from this one.” i tapped the halved cover of the book. “it’s a front page, one of the blank ones.” i explained. 

“he ripped up an autographed copy?” 

i nodded, hearing the hurt in his voice. “yeah.” 

spencer helped me look. the room went quiet apart from the occasional rustling of paper. 

“found it.” spencer called to me from where he was kneeling between the couch and coffee table. he held up the page and i sighed in relief, walking on my knees across the floor to him and taking the page into my hands. “it has your blood on it.” he noted. 

i stared at the handwriting and then at a small red soaked part of a corner. i didn’t care that it had my blood on it, i cared that it wasn’t destroyed. “i don’t think he knew this was my favorite book, or he would’ve done way worse.” i muttered, again just thinking out loud. 

“can i say something?” spencer asked. i nodded at him, studying his facial expression before he said, “i never liked him.” i laughed slightly. “im serious. the way he acted with you in public, not really paying attention to you. you’d tell me about things he’d do or say and i’d just feel mad… or upset at him.” i pursed my lips. “he didn’t deserve you.”

that feeling of heartache swelled in my chest as i smoothed my thumbs over the book page in my hands. i couldn’t look at him. not after he said that. he was right, like always. “we should keep cleaning.” i stood up, being mindful of my foot as i did. i placed the book page on my coffee table and went back to picking up all of my ruined books, taking mental notes of which ones i had to replace. spencer stood up off the floor and finished sweeping up the glass on the floor. he’d look at me every few minutes, i could feel it. his eyes made my skin prickle sometimes. he was the only person who’s eyes made me react like that. 

“are all of your dishes broken?” 

i hummed in unknowing, gently placing my trashed books into the garbage and then went to my cabinets, opening them to stare at a few dishes that survived james’s wrath. “thankfully, no.” i looked back at him with a relieved smile. “i am gonna go get new sets anyway though. i need a refresh for the whole place.” 

spencer hummed in response while putting the broom back from where he watched me grab it from earlier. “want me to help?” 

i shrugged. “if you want to hang out with me in ikea for like four hours then sure.” 

he smiled. “you know me, i never have plans.” 

“i do know you.” i smiled back, now facing him with my back to the near empty cabinets.

Spencer’s chest heaved as he collapsed on the bed next to his girlfriend. Her eyes were still squeezed shut and her lip between her teeth.

After a moment of breathing and calming down, Y/N hummed and moved to lay close to him. “Wanna go shower?” She asked, kissing his neck. “We can be louder in there.” He chuckled, rubbing her cheek with the pad of his thumb.

“Of course.” He kissed her lips and pulled away, laughing when she tried to catch his lips again. She giggled as he began talking again. “So… there’s this dinner…” He trailed off.

Y/N hummed, her fingers grazing over his abs gently. “Mhm…”

Spencer cleared his throat. “My friend from work is hosting at his house and Um—“ He paused and kissed her because her lips were searching for his. “They know that I’m dating someone— that someone being you— and Rossi invited you.”

Y/N stopped he movement of her hand and looked up at him. A small smile grew on her lips. “Really?” She asked quietly.

Spencer smiled down at her. “Really. I would really like for them to meet you.”

Y/N nodded. “But what if they don’t like me?”

The man scoffed. “They’re gonna love you.” He whispered. “I love you.”

Her smile grew and she grabbed the side of his face, kissing him. He pushed her hair out of the way and kissed her back. “I love you too. So much.” She mumbled between kisses. “And I would love to come to dinner.”

Spencer chuckled. “If you keep kissing me like that we’re not gonna make it to the shower.”

Y/N smirked, moving her body to straddle waist. “I’m okay with that.”

Two days later, Y/N stood in front of her full body mirror in a dress and heels. Eloise was jumping on her bed and singing some song about colors she had heard on the tv earlier in the day.

“Mommy, how long you gonna be gone?” Eloise asked as she stopped jumping.

The mother hummed and spun around. “Just a few hours.”

Eloise shook her head and frowned. “A foo hours is wike… forever, mommy!”

Y/N giggled and sat on the edge of her bed, letting Eloise lean against her. “No it’s not, Eloisey. And you get to be here with Katie. Don’t you like Katie?”

The girl gasped. “Oh my dosh— I wuv Katie.” She breathed out.

Y/N smiled and nodded, kissing her cheek. “I know! You guys are gonna have so much fun!”

Like the universe hated her or something, her phone buzzed beside her and she picked it up.

From: Katie

Hi Y/N! I’m sooooo sorry but i can’t watch Eloise tonight. I think I caught the flu and I’d hate to get her sick

Y/N sighed and shut her eyes. “You’ve got to be fucking me in the ass.” She groaned, forgetting that there was a 3 year old right next to her.

“Mommy, why did you say the fuck word?” Eloise asked causing her to groan louder.

She opened her eyes and put a smile on her face. She knew that Spencer’s phone was on silent and he probably wouldn’t be paying much attention to it while he was with his team.

“No reason baby.” She shook her head. “Go pick out an outfit for you to wear tonight, okay?”

Eloise furrowed her eyebrows. “Why?”

Y/N swiped Jaír out of her baby’s eyes. “Because Katie can’t come tonight so, we’re gonna go eat dinner with Spencer.”

Eloise squealed and crawled off of her mom’s bed and ran out into her room.

When Y/N arrived at the house— the fucking mansion— she sighed and looked back at Eloise.

“Oh my dosh, Spenther’s fwiend wives in a princess castle!” The girl shouted, clapping her hands.

Y/N laughed. “Yes, he does live in a princess castle.” She took her phone off of the gps thingy in her car and got out.

She walked around the front of the car and got Eloise out of her car seat. “You ready?” She asked, hiking the girl up on her hip, and holding her fist out.

“Ready fweddy.” Eloise nodded and bumped her tiny fist on Y/N’s.

Y/N nodded and began to walk up the stone driveway. She got to the door, feeling her heart hammer in her chest. “Oh god, I can’t do this.” She whispered.

“Yeth you can mommy.” Eloise smiled and touched her mother’s cheek.

She kissed Eloise’s forehead and quickly pressed the doorbell. They heard the sound outside before hearing Spencer’s voice.

“That’s Y/N!” He said, trying to be quiet. “Don’t ask too many questions— Derek why are you sm- stop smirking.”

Y/N took a deep breath in and the door swung open. Spencer’s smile widened when he saw Eloise in her arms.

The woman shook her head. “I’m really sorry, my sitter canceled and I knew that I wouldn’t be able to find one on short notice and I’m really—“

“Y/N, Y/N.” Spencer stopped her. “It’s okay! I was hoping you’d bring Eloise anyway.” He said, looking at the kid. “I missed my girl anyways.” He smiled and Eloise held her arms out.

Y/N let Spencer take her out of her arms. “Are you sure this is okay? Do I look okay? Is my makeup-“

Spencer leaned forward to kiss her shortly. “Everything is fine.” He nodded.

Y/N nodded and smiled up at him nervously, following him as he moved back inside the house.

She walked behind him and heard a quiet gasp as they entered the dining room. “Oh my God, is that a child!?”

Y/N bit her lip and stood next to Spencer, smiling nervously and looking around at everyone. “Uh, guys this is Y/N.” He said nodding down at her. “And this is Eloise,” He noticed how Y/N stiffened under the team’s stares. He cleared his throat.

A blonde dressed in bright purple stood up and made her way towards them. “Oh my goodness!” She pulled Y/N into a hug causing a surprised noise to leave the woman’s mouth. “It’s so nice to meet you!” She pulled away and looked at the girl in Spencer’s arms. “And you too! Oh my gosh you’re adorable.”

“Hi, it’s nice to meet you.” Y/N spoke.

“I’m Penelope!”

Eloise became shy and she waved, leaning into Spencer’s neck. Y/N giggled and said hi.

Then, everyone else walked up to them and introduced themselves to her and Eloise.

Derek and Savannah, David Rossi, Emily Prentiss, JJ and Will and Aaron Hotchner all greeted her with a smile and a handshake— JJ hugged her.

When the blonde woman met Eloise, she glanced up at Spencer with wide eyes. “I’m JJ.” She told the girl.

“Hi JJ.” Eloise greeted quietly.

Y/N smiled and Eloise looked at her with wide eyes. “What’s wrong baby?” The girl waved her over and she walked over, leaning closer to her. Eloise whispered something in her mom’s ear.

A moment later, she pulled away from her and looked at Rossi. “I’m sorry, can we go use your bathroom?”

The man nodded. “Of course.” He smiled. “It’s right down that hallway to the left.”

“Thank you.” She nodded, taking Eloise from Spencer and nodding at him before walking to the bathroom.

The team waited until her heels stopped clicking and the bathroom door shut.

Derek scoffed. “So how exactly did you win her over?” He asked with a chuckle. Savannah slapped his arm.

Spencer rolled his eyes. “We met at this coffee shop near her apartment—“

JJ smiled. “What, like five years ago? I mean, that kid is huge!” She exclaimed in a hushed whisper.

He shook his head. “No Um… I met her six months ago. Eloise is Um… she’s not mine.” He hated saying because even though technically it was true, anything a father would do for his daughter, he’d do for Eloise.

“She’s adorable, Reid.” Emily spoke. “Oh, the kid is too.” She jokingly shrugged.

Spencer smiled and rolled his eyes. “She’s really nervous so can we please tone down the compliments.”

JJ’s eyes lit up. “Ooh! Maybe Eloise would like to play with Henry and Jack when dinner is cooking.” She pursed her lips. “They’re just in the back yard.”

Spencer shrugged. “We’ll have to ask her.” As if on cue, Y/N’s heels began clicking again and Eloise was saying things.

They came around the corner and /N was holding Eloise’s hand as they walked. She let go of her mother’s hand and ran up to Rossi, pulling on his pant leg. “Scuse me, mithter. Do you wive in a princess castle?”

The team laughed and Rossi bent down a bit. “I do live in a princess castle.” He nodded.

Spencer chuckled and leaned over to Y/N as the two of them went into a deep conversation about Eloise’s favorite princesses.

“Is it okay if she goes outside and plays with JJ and Hotch’s boys?” He asked.

Y/N nodded. “Yeah, of course. But you didn’t need to ask my permission.” She told him quietly. “I trust you, okay?”

Spencer nodded and kissed the side of her head before getting Eloise’s attention. “Hey, Eloisey do you wanna go play outside and meet some new friends?”

The girl nodded shyly and Spencer held out his hands. Eloise grabbed onto both and hopped onto his feet. Y/N laughed as he began to waddle towards the sliding doors behind the dining room table.

JJ went out before him so she could rally up the other kids. “Hey guys?” She called. Y/N followed behind Spencer and Eloise.

The boys stopped throwing the ball around and came running towards JJ. “Is dinner done yet, mommy?” Henry asked.

JJ chuckled. “Not yet honey. I wanted you and Jack to meet Spencer’s friends Y/N and Eloise.”

They looked up at the woman and then at the girl who held a small smile. “I’m Eloise.” She nodded. “You wike pwaying superhewoes?” She asked.

Jack nodded rapidly and Henry gasped. “We love playing superheroes.”

Eloise hopped off of Spencer’s feet. “Otay. I’m donna be the good one. You duys be da bad ones.”

She ran further into the yard and Y/N laughed, covering her mouth as they ran after her. “She’s gonna sleep gooood tonight.” She nodded with a smile.

Rossi tapped her on the shoulder and she turned around. “Would you like a glass of wine?”

“Ooh.” She smiled. “What do you have?” She asked.

Rossi chuckled. “A whole damn cellar, sweetheart.”

Emily, Penelope, JJ, Savannah and Y/N all stood around the kitchen island with their glasses of wine. The guys sat around in the backyard watching the kids play. “So…” Emily smirked. “How’s the sex?”

Y/N almost choked on her wine and took the glass away from her mouth, wiping her noir with a napkin. She giggled and kissed her teeth. JJ slapped Emily’s arm. “What? It’s a real question.” She shrugged.

The woman inhaled. “It’s fuckin’ mind blowing. He like a vagina wizard or something.” She laughed. The rest of the girls laughed as well.

They were consumed in conversation when the oven dinged. Y/N raised her hand. “I’ll go get the guys.” She told them.

She set her glass down and walked out of the kitchen and towards the sliding doors. The guy’s chairs were faced away from the door and she slowly open it. Before she called for them, she paused when she caught the end of their conversation.

“I think she was sent by God. She’s perfect.” Spencer’s voice was quiet but she smiled hearing every word. “A-and Eloise is the cherry on top. I didn’t know that I wanted kids until I met her. She’s the best. And she’s just like her mother.”

Y/N teared up and bit her lip as the guys all ‘awed’ and patted him on the back. “And I’m gonna marry her. I don’t know when but it’s going to happen.”

Her grin widened and she cleared her throat. “Um, I think dinner is ready.” She said quietly. They all turned back, not think that she had heard their entire conversation.

Rossi popped out of his chair and clapped. “Great! You’re gonna love my lasagna.” He nodded.

“Lasagna?” She repeated, glancing at her cute but very messy girl.

Rossi chuckled. “Oh, don’t worry. I made the kids chicken nuggets and fries.”

Y/N sighed in relief and laughed. She saw Eloise running up to her and she bent down. The girl ran and jumped into her arms. “Mommy, can Jack and Henry come over tomorrow!?” She asked.

Y/n spun her around. “We’ll have to ask their parents but it’s okay with me! Come on let’s go eat!”

Spencer smiled as he watched Y/N wiggle her around as they went inside.

He got so lucky.

After dinner, the kids were watching a Disney movie in Rossi’s home theater and the adults were all standing around the kitchen island talking.

Spencer grabbed Y/N’s hand and she leaned over to him. “I love you.” She spoke quietly. “And thank you for being with me and Eloise.”

He kissed her cheek, knowing that the others were too immersed in conversation with each other. “I will always be with you.”

Y/N giggled. “And the girls might tease you at work for a little while.”

Spencer furrowed his eyebrows with a smile. “Why?” He asked, rubbing his hand over her lower back.

“I may or may not have called you a vagina wizard.”

Summer Sonic 2000 Headline [ROCKIN'ON June 2000]

Y2K breaks out! The first ROCKIN'ON report on the midsummer alternative festival Summer Sonic! Finally, Japan's first urban festival. First of all, fly with the line-up!

On 5th and 6th August, immediately after the Fuji Rock Festival, the two-day rock festival "Summer Sonic" will be held simultaneously at Fujikyu Highland Conifer Forest in the Kanto region and Osaka Cosmosquare Open Air Stadium in the Kansai region. The number of artists is expected to be considerable, as the festival will be held over two days and on two stages. The names are still coming in, but for now the confirmed artists include Green Day, Mansun, The Flaming Lips, Teenage Fanclub, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Muse, Weezer, Arrested Development, Ben Folds Five, Coldplay, Grandaddy, The Living End, Tahiti 80, Vienna, 311, Supercar, Quruli, and more! —So it's already gorgeous! The artists are completely interchangeable between the Kanto and Kansai regions, so all bands will be appearing in both. Don't worry.

Now, let's take a personal look at each of the highlights, starting with Weezer. I thought they had broken up, but it seems they are really coming. What's going on? I've checked many times, but seriously, they're coming. And Mansun! The new album is coming out in June, so it should be unusually exciting by this time. Shout out "I'm negative!" to the sound of high-speed dominoes falling all over the place! And for those who missed their first visit to Japan, is the longed-for Muse going to be the favourite? Green Day, who played in the basement of Seiyu [a convenience store] in Takadanobaba after being cancelled at the first Fuji Rock show, have not played since their last shows at Tokyo Bay NK Hall and Akasaka BLITZ [in 1998]. What colour is your hair? Or, has there been a new album to follow "Nimrod" yet? Jon Spencer, who is a familiar face is sure to impress. And for Teenage Fanclub, the long-awaited new album is in the works. They'll be playing new songs! The Flaming Lips under a summer sky, is it Reading Fest all over again? A Bowlie Weekender illusion? Check out Grandaddy, and I could go on and on, but this is a groundbreaking line-up. I know my wallet (or bank account) will be tight at Fuji, but I have no choice but to say "I've got to go".

This festival is an urban festival. It is an attempt to present a different kind of festival in Japan, where people can experience world-class rock artists on stage in a convenient location in a casual and comfortable manner, rather than the green, free and hard-working rock festival that Fuji Rock so strongly impressed upon people. This is the same direction as Reading in the UK and Big Day Out in Australia. In a sense, it could be said to be competing with Fuji. It's hard to decide which one to go to, and if you go to both, it's hard to find the money and time, but it's good to think about the future of festivals in Japan. We can target festivals too, and if we do, they will become better and better. …… As I was writing this, I was stunned to see the new line-up for Fuji Rock announced today! In addition to Morrissey and Denki Groove, Mogwai! Yo La Tengo, Super Furry Animals and more! This is a battle as early as the subject……. Find out more with your own eyes! That's all I can say. As claimed in the article, they played an impromptu show at the basement of a Seiyu convenience store in Takadanobaba.

According to Wikipedia JP, the band were upset and trashed the hotel room that they were staying at with a BB gun/air gun.

According Green Day Live, the band joined members of the Chili Peppers, the Foo Fighters, Beck, and The Prodigy on an excursion to an amusement park. It was likely to be Fuji-Q Highland, since it was close to the resort and only half an hour away by car.

So yeah, make of it what you will.

Believe it or not, I happen to come across this article by chance from amongst the secondhand Japanese music magazines that I have in my collection. It came from one of the magazines that I was forced to buy as part of a bulk purchase and it had none of the artists or bands that I was interested in, so I put it away.
