This is very sudden and concerning...A little disappointing to have these events canceled/postponed, but the safety of others is far more important in the end

I'm wondering who even made threats??? And over what???

At any rate, the World Championships will probably be at a later date, but the entire Live seems to be canceled

the official Nintendo Live 2024 was cancelled entirely

I think it's sad how we might not get the zelda and splatoon concerts, but they did say it was for the safety of staff and audience members so i do respect it.

Splatoon Koshien Finals, and the Splatoon 3 World Championships are still going, as well as the mario kart 8 deluxe online finals, and another world championship are still going, just postponed.

You WILL see people complaining that this was because of the splatterscreen accessibility discussion, however they say in the post that they've been getting threats for a while, and only recently has it spread to the championships, including audience members, which had nothing to do with any of it. Also the fact that the tournaments are still on, just postponed is another reason why I believe it wasn't about that
