Spilt Fiction is fantastic. We're sitting on the floor in front of a split screen co-op game and giggling nonstop.

I used to be pretty big into gaming, but had lost the passion for it. It Takes Two was also fantastic but I couldn't finish it because the themes were too relatable at the time.

But holy shit, the "fantasy nerd" meets "sci-fi nerd" and they learn to love each other narrative?? Yaaas, thank you.

So I completely gas lit my best friend in Call of Duty...

Fondly remembering the time a month ago my best friend and I were playing COD together and I completely broke her. We were in an offline lobby against bots, cuz we just want to relax. We were playing Team Deathmatch with unlimited time.

Now, what she didn't know is that in the two seconds she had looked down at her phone, I had turned on Friendly Fire.

I didn't shoot her once in the first twenty minutes, then when I was far away, I sniped her. I then proceeded to completely gaslight her. Every time I killed her I would feign innocence and say "where did that shot come from?!" Or immediately follow it up with "don't worry I got the guy" because she never looks at the kill feed.

I feel it's important to add we were playing split screen, and we were sitting right next to each other.

Now, after a while and after sniping her at least 50 times, I see her on the roof laying under a solar panel trying to hide. So I zoomed in with my sniper rifle and perfectly headshotted her. She shouted and it was silent for a moment before I let out a tiny snicker.

She turned and looked at me in confusion then her eyes widened.

"Wait... Hold on, WAIT A SECOND, WAIT A FUCKING SECOND-"

The look of realization that came over her face was priceless. I started laughing so hard I couldn't breathe, all the while she was trying to comprehend how long it had been going on. She asked me how I turned on Friendly Fire mid-match, and when I said I turned it on at the beginning she lost her mind.

She then spent the next hour trying to hunt me down and losing her mind even more because we were laughing so hard because she knows she can't out-shoot me but was determined to get revenge.

This is my friend of almost 20 years now, and we play split screen together all the time. She now refuses to let me set up the game unless she is watching every detail when we play Team Deathmatch.
