Marilyn Monroe, 1967
Artist: Andy Warhol
In 1967, Warhol established a print-publishing business, Factory Additions, through which he published a series of screenprint portfolios on his signature subjects. Marilyn Monroe was the first one. He used the same publicity still of the actress that he had previously used for dozens of paintings. Each image was printed from five screens: one that carried the photographic image and four for different areas of color, sometimes printed off-register. About repetitions Warhol said, “The more you look at the same exact thing, the more the meaning goes away, and the better and emptier you feel."
Portfolio of ten screenprints
Dimensions composition and sheet (each): 36 x 36"
Sources: Sotheby's MoMA

After the loss of our sweetest boy, Buddy (adopted from Animal Humane Society in Jan 2014) last December we started to “look” at dogs back in March - we missed having a dog more than I ever imagined we would. We saw Saint (now Scout!) listed at the Golden Valley location for a week or two and finally decided to meet his sweet face in person. The kids and I came to visit on a Friday afternoon and then brought my husband back on Friday evening. We put down our hold deposit and agreed to talk about what it means to get another dog and make a final decision on Saturday. The only thing we really talked about was what we wanted to re-name him when we picked him up the following day!
On March 15th when we left with Scout he was terrified to get into the car and shook the entire way home. When we finally coaxed him back out of the car at home, we brought him to the big back yard to run free, you just knew he understood the car ride was totally worth it! He ran, and ran, and ran. He crashed that night in our bed and slept for hours - a lot quieter night than he’s had in months, I’m sure.
Scout has fit right in where our Buddy left us! He loves eating early in the morning and heading out to the backyard to “hunt” critters. He loves treats. He loves snuggling on the couch with a blanket for some TV. He loves dog beds. He loves tearing toys to shreds. He now LOVES car rides (his favorite!). He loved puppy obedience training. He loves going to Chuck and Don’s and Home Depot. He loves going to the off leash dog park - he is so good with other dogs and humans. And to close his days, he loves sleeping in a king sized bed with mom and dad.
He is a good boy and we absolutely love him! Thank you, AHS for another best friend!🐾 — Heather

Tiffany & Co. Archival Daisy Brooch contains round brilliant diamonds weighing approximately 6.38 total carats set in platinum. Beyond its impressive size exists a fluidity and harmonizing detail that is a magnificent example of Tiffany design and craftsmanship ca. 1940's.
