dean’s motivation of getting sam’s soul back bc he hated having sam around while not being sam instead of wanting it back to rescue sam’s tortured soul from hell… his selfishness when it comes to sam is very fascinating to me

all right i mean, i mentioned this in the last one too, but sam is understandably pissed what with dean going behind his back to work a deal with death for his soul, essentially a medical decision. we're so far afield from reality, but thinking about it from a disability justice standpoint.

anyway. i liked death got up in dean's face to remind him that he's.... death.

oh what is robosam up to now. i don't even remember what the beef was with balthazar. rereading the summary, i must have been really out of it trying to watch that episode.

i suppose this (going after bobby) is supposed help us remember that soulless!sam isn't just harmless and fun and helpful like they have been selling so nicely the past few episodes.

obviously we were gonna have to kill a kid in his rounds. but i do not understand this whole, i'm putting my foot down thing. because isn't that breaking the rules and that means no soul for sam??

dean is shockingly bad at following the rules here. like. what. was the point of this. getting sam's soul was not enough motivation to suck it up?

i see. gotta teach dean a lesson, that you can tie into sort of consequences of them dying/not dying on the regular.

also, make it seem less horrible that they're forcing the soul into him against his will if he's willing to straight up murder bobby to keep it out. he's not able to make rational decisions, don't need consent now!

3x05: Sam and Dean are in the woods, Dean slowly turns to Sam, incredulous, and says, "Dude, could you be more gay?" Sam shifts slightly before looking away, as Dean finishes, "Don't answer that."

3x06: Bela smirks a bit at Sam while saying to Dean, "Cute. But a bit of a drama queen, yeah?" Sam sets his jaw turning back to her, unamused.

1x10: Sam and Dean walk down a dark hallway, and Sam says to Dean, "I just have strange vibes sometimes. Weird dreams." Dean doesn't look up from his EMF meter, saying, "Yeah, whatever. Don't ask, don't tell."

3x08: A shopkeeper raises his eyebrows at Sam, saying, "Well. Aren't you a fussy one?" Sam looks at him, annoyed, and turns away.

2x15: Sam tightly hugs a witness, looking up to the sky as he says, "Too precious for this world." (Freeze frame) The view cuts to Sam telling Dean, "I never said that!" Dean defends, "You're always saying pansy stuff like that!"

6x11: Sam tells Balthazar, "I need some advice." They stand widely separated by the ingredients for a summoning spell. Balthazar asks, "Advice?" Sam responds, "Angel advice." Balthazar gestures over his shoulder with his thumb saying, "Well, then go ask your boyfriend." Sam replies, "Cas can't help me."

4x17: Sam and Dean stand on an elevator, Sam says, "I'm sorry, man, you just look really familiar." Dean looks away, rolling his eyes slightly, saying, "Save it for the health club, pal." before he walks out of the elevator, Sam looks at him confused

7x21: Meg and Sam stand in a hallway, Meg tells him, "He owes me, his words." Sam says, "Yeah, what about he owes us." Meg raises her eyebrows, taunting, "Well, work on him a little. Maybe he'll start crushing on you too, hot stuff."

6x20: Bobby, Sam, and Dean stand in Bobby's kitchen, unknowingly watched by Castiel. Bobby tells Dean, "That means we're dealing with a Superman who's gone dark side." Dean avoids his look before finally telling Sam, "This makes you Lois Lane." Sam shifts uncomfortably with his arms crossed, as Bobby says, "Look, one problem at a time here."

8x01: Sam sits with Kevin in a church, one row behind him. Sam tells him, "Trust me on this, it gets better." Kevin turns around to look at him, leaning his arm on the back of the pew, smiling a little skeptically. Kevin says, "You know I'm not gay, right?"
