Waiting for Eddie to come out to the firefam in s8 after going to a gay bar and telling everyone he didn’t feel like he had to perform there. And Buck wants to be happy for him, like he really does, but he has this heavy underlying feeling of… jealousy?

He immediately goes to Maddie to talk about things because he’s worried that Hen or Chim are going to call him homophobic which is slightly how he’s feeling except he’s bisexual so that doesn’t make sense. And he tells Maddie, “I’m just… really jealous that he came out right after me. Kind of… stole my thunder.”

And Maddie lets out a long suffering sigh and lectures him, “You can both come out around the same time without stealing each other’s thunder.” But it doesn’t make Buck feel better.

He comes back to Maddie when Eddie talks about the guys he’s been casually talking to, telling her, “I’m just jealous that he feels so comfortable talking about things. And I’m jealous that he’s exploring his options more than I have.”

And it’s something new every day. “I’m jealous that one of the guys he’s seeing brought him flowers by the station… I’m jealous that he’s able to pull off these new jeans so well for his dates… I’m jealous that this new guy is texting him all the time and making him laugh so loud… I’m jealous that this other guy is teaching him how to cook when that’s my thing!… I’m jealous that he gets hit on by guys during calls and always becomes this blushing, stuttering mess…”

She sees the way that the gears slowly turn in Buck’s head until he has a lightbulb moment and gasps, “You’re right!” And before Maddie can tell him that she’s so proud of him, Buck says, “I’m jealous that he hasn’t asked me to be his wingman and help him with all of this!”

And Maddie just sadly smiles at Buck and says, “I’m sure that’s it,” hoping that he’ll eventually figure it out on his own soon.

Jensen is a professional actor/entertainer, he knows what sells and what people like, he can go overboard , but that’s just how he likes it 200% or nothing.

He’s a shy guy but he he gets the job done as long as he doesn’t offend himself or compromise his values or look tacky or cheap.

He played all sorts of roles regardless of their sexual preference, he has no problem with that.

With dean he started playing straight and he didn’t compromise no matter the pressure/danger he was under (to his wife and kids too)

He’s true to himself while doing his job as an entertainer, which lets face it, it’s all about the pandering even when you don’t feel like it or believe in it yourself, it their livelihood.

If you didn't see I got a little heated with someone who insisted the dictionary is wrong with what homophobia means because "authors use it this way" and claimed people don't actually fear gay people, which is 100% not true. I believe this is still 100% true to this day Anon. I really do. I can understand why like 10 years ago or more many thought they were in a relationship but today, it's kinda silly. They are busy living separate lives in separate states now. Jared even said recently they see each other a lot... at Supernatural conventions and still text a lot. Not a whole lot of actually seeing each other anymore from what it sounds like to me. Plus, when is the last time they actually hung out together outside of being in the same hotel/area for a Supernatural convention?

I started watching Century of Love based on your recommendation. Personally, I find that hyper homophobic beginning storyline annoying. (I understand he's old and had unrealistic expectations that she would come back the same as she was.) I'm wondering if you think the rest of the series is worth gritting my teeth to get through. Does this series recover?

I was looking for helluva boss praise and i found a post of someone crying and pissing their pants over the wedding scene from Ex's and Ooh's, screaming about how it's internalized homophobia from the show because it "tries to make gay men seem predatory" by having Moxxie forced to marry Chaz in a dress with dildos all around

I guess their arguments kinda made sense, but they were looking WAY too deep into it and ignoring the context from the episode and show itself.

Firstly, Moxxie is clearly down to date a guy, he literally stated that he was bisexual in that same episode, he just happens to be in a relationship and the guy his dad is forcing him to marry fucked him over. The point of Crimson forcing Moxxie to marry Chaz isn't to make gay men seem predatory, its to further solidify that Crimson is a ruthless person who only cares about keeping money, power, and control over everyone around him. If Chaz was a woman, he would still make Moxxie marry him.

Second, the dildo and dress thing isn't meant to be a serious thing, oh my god. IT IS LITERALLY MEANT TO BE A JOKE ABOUT CRIMSON'S BIGOTRY. He thinks that all bi guys are gay and that all gay guys like to wear dresses and have dildos all over the place. The goddamn dildos wouldn't even be there if it weren't for Chaz complaining that the seats weren't full.

And sometimes representing toxic queer relationships is a good thing. For example, in Ted Lasso, spoiler alert, Keeley's ex girlfriend lovebombed her, was ashamed of their relationship in front of old friend, and then dumped her because she essentially didn't do what she wanted.

Granted I could tell that it wasn't going to last, and felt sad it soured so quickly, but that doesn't mean it's bad representation.

In fact it's good representation. I had a similar experience with my ex girlfriend. She kept me a secret from her parents (which, nothing wrong with not feeling safe to come out, but I myself was out and proud, so maybe a relationship where the first time in my life I had to hide my sexuality wasn't a good thing). She lovebombed me (though I don't think on purpose), and then dumped me over text during school, so I was sobbing in class.

Helluva Boss's and Hazbin Hotel's characters are a majority queer, something you don't see often. It's one of the reasons I love this show.

You know what's weirdly rare in video games? Liars. I feel like when it comes to quests for truth and understanding in games, the usual force pushing back is unrevealed information, not someone giving you false information. And in the games where outright lies are used, they tend to be used sparingly, as a second act twist that sets up the rest of the plot.

I think it's less common to have to deal with a character that just lies to you continuously without any real indication that you are being told a lie. Akechi itches at me because he's not, like, the Citadel Council keeping big secrets from the galactic community. He's a guy who is lying and I don't have any context for what the truth is.

Did the "Solar Opposites Valentine's Day Special" really change everything?

Spoiler alert: Korvo and Terry, have sex.

Solar Opposite is an animated comedy about a group of aliens trapped on Earth: team leader Korvo, the "let's do this by the books" micro-manager; the effervescent goofball Terry; their teenage replicants Yumyulack and Jesse, and the Pupa.  Korvo and Terry find each other's habits annoying, and often argue about how assimilated they should become.

It’s just that there were so many ways they could’ve ended this over the last seven years and yet… We still have the DNA test to maybe one day prove he was never his kid, but if Louis were ever to take it, this kid would still be a thing imo, because you don’t just raise someone as your son for seven years and then one night you find out you’re not actually related to the kid and you’re like “well, it was a good ride but now we part ways” I mean what kind of person would you be if the only reason that made you raise this child was because you thought you two were related?? and also if that’s all it took for you not having to deal with the kid anymore, then why did it take you SEVEN years to take a DNA test??? Idk, there’s so much we don’t know and will never know, but this is a messed up situation and I don’t see it ever ending. There’s no way out except the truth and I doubt we will ever get that.

And yet, I’m still here. I’m too stubborn to leave, and whether I like it or not, I have spent the last years of my life following every second of Louis (and Harry’s) every day life (literally), and not just because I want to or because it’s fun (spoiler alert: it’s not always fun) but because I care so much about them, like SO MUCH (I don’t need to explain to you this, it’s tumblr, we all get it). So I’ll always take the good with the bad (for now).

What really frustrates me though is that every time a stunt happens, we (larries) get to be the punch bag and everyone and their mother start calling us crazy or psychos, and that really pisses me off, because I don’t even think the problem is that this is just an absurd theory/idea (believe me, I know it is!!!!!) the problem is that if you think Louis and Harry are together, and god forbid, think that Louis is not a dad, people will call us “delusional teenagers” or if you are older, you’re just a jobless woman who is probably lonely, cause this has always been the culture when it comes to boybands (and fandom culture in general) and was the culture 1dhq, and eventually lthq and hshq, always encouraged. so we are not taken seriously, we are called hysterical and we are narrowed down to some stereotype that it’s probably not even true (and if it is then SO WHAT??).

I know it’s probably not easy to navigate an artist’s image when not only he’s gay, but he also has years and years of “proofs” that he’s dated several women, had a kid, made some homophobic comments, etc and is also currently dating one of the most famous person in the world right now (who is also in the closet and also has years of doing the same thing). And I’m sure as hell it doesn’t help when we keep pushing the buttons and saying no he’s not a dad, yes he’s gay, when you have his team always doing the opposite: “he has a new girlfriend” “the kid is in his doc”. But it’s awful because that’s they way it’s been since the beginning, all due to the fact that Louis and Harry are gay. It all comes down to this one fact. There’s just no way out.

(And just to make myself clear, I don’t think this is Louis’ fault, I don’t think he wants this, I honestly believe he only has so many choices he can make and he does the best he can with it, but I wonder what’s the point, is this all worth it? lmao I do truly hope he has made peace with himself and with this situation (and Harry too tbh) because if it’s hard on us, I can only imagine how hard it is for them and their families. As I always say, I can always leave this fandom and leave this bullshit behind me but they can’t. So yeah…)

‼️SPOILER ALERT FOR HELLUVA BOSS S2 E3 EXES AND OOHS‼️

I know this post is pretty late considering that the episode came out last Saturday and I apologize for that, but I still wanted to just make a nice quick and easy recap giving my overall thoughts.

But in short, omg this episode was fantastic! The entire time I felt like I was on a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions. I went from laughing, to crying, to laughing again, to being on the edge of my seat, and so much more. The deep emotional moments hit so hard for me. And it feels like the animation keeps getting better and better with every new episode. The fight scene near the end where Millie went off on a full-blown killing spree was the top tier highlight of the entire show's animation for me, even topping the fight scene from S1 E6 Truth Seekers imo, and that's saying a lot. What I also loved about that scene was that it shows just how powerful and a badass Millie can become when you anger her enough. You do not wanna be messing with her! >:) She is so protective of her husband, and you do not dare touch him or she will unleash her full fury out on you. And that scene really drove the point of the whole episode home that Millie and Moxxie's relationship is just so healthy and strong and not a force to be reckoned with. Not a single thing in Hell can tear them apart from each other.

And don't even get me started on this episode touching on Moxxie's backstory! When I said I was crying at one point in this I was not joking. I already had a feeling that his dad Crimson was not somebody to be trusted before this episode came out, but holy shit, I was not at all prepared to see just how evil and vile this character truly is. He is not only homophobic, sexist, and abusive to his own child, but the fact that he had the gall to straight up murder his own wife??!! Yeah... he's officially at the top of my list for worst Helluva Boss character now. Geez and I thought Stella was horrible, but Crimson has got even Stella beat at this point. And poor Moxxie did not deserve having to grow up in such a hostile environment and go through all that trauma. By the looks of the very end of the episode it seems like this won't be the last time we'll be seeing Crimson. This seems to be a set up for him to be a returning villain and I am all here for it.

As much as I didn't like Chaz because of him being an f-boy who sleeps around and just a really cringy character overall, I have to give credit where it's due and say that he was written very well and I do love his design and voice actor. Though I'm gonna be completely honest, part of me was kinda relieved that he got killed off at the end lol I just did not enjoy watching this selfish arrogant horny dude who was all talk and no show try to interfere with M&M's precious marriage.

Oh yeah and one other thing, why is nobody else talking about how Moxxie is such perfect bisexual representation? 💗💜💙 Being bi myself I just couldn't help but feel so seen the moment he confirmed it. Loona has always been my favorite character since the very beginning, but after this episode, I think Moxxie might just be a close second (and also because he's voiced by my all-time favorite voice actor Richard Horvitz).

Now the only thing that disappointed me about this episode was that Loona was barely in it at all. I was really hoping for more Loona moments, I missed seeing my baby wolf girl so much! 😢

So to sum this all up, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It was definitely worth the long wait. This show has not yet once failed to impress me. I hope it continues to head in the right direction and I cannot wait for the next episode! ❤️🖤🤍😈

IA with you that 9-1-1 fandom has put too much of the "blame" on the network rather than TPTB, and we can understand why - people want to believe that showrunners/writers would absolutely do what the audience wants if it weren't for the billionaire(s) sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. This already happened when Disney acquired a portion of FOX Corp and started putting the 911verse on Disney+ - Not only was Buddie less likely to happen because Disney is notoriously homophobic, but fans expected Tarlos to be treated differently, too. (Spoiler alert: They were wrong.) I haven't changed my stance on canon!Buddie because my POV has always been that the show could hold out until the last available opportunity if they wanted to "play it safe", but if that's where this is headed, Tim & co. went wrong/made things more difficult than need be by not confirming at least one of the characters is queer (and the show just hasn't explored that part of his story). The most logical choice would have been Buck, since Josh made the comment in s3 that the card game had vibes of a date and TK thought Buck was being flirtatious during the crossover. (But nah. Just a couple of laughs for the viewers.) FOX isn't afraid of the queer community. FOX wouldn't have picked up another RM show after Glee if they wanted to discourage that demographic. (They were running their political ads during 9-1-1, remember.) The showrunners are the ones worried about fixing (in their minds) what ain't broke.

The motivation is different and the amount of risk you're exposed to is different. I could be completely in the closet in public and still have a same-sex partner and it doesn't increase my risk of violence. My partner isn't the risk. Also it's completely inaccurate to pretend that we can escape homophobia by not dating people, even though that's not what anyone was telling you about misogyny, it's gross. No one is saying not dating men will completely get rid of male violence in your life we are all talking about minimizing risk and how inviting them in your home prevents you from having a safe place to run to. I can stay in my home to avoid most homophobes outside of it. I couldn't do that if I invited them to live with me. Despite that tho, I have been single for years and still have experienced homophobia that threaten my job and safety because I don't need another person to be recognized as gay. Because the threat comes from outside forces perceiving me as a homosexual the threat doesn't go away or become legitimately mitigated by not having a partner. You are just being homophobic when you're making this comparison because it's not a comparison that is genuinely equal and explanatory, it seems like you're lashing out and trying to hurt lesbians for daring to make the suggestion to you in the first place. It's a false equivalency.

However, if there was one specific group of women putting lesbians in the ground at an alarming rate like men are doing to het women, I would suggest that lesbians stay away from that demographic of women too. Male violence however isn't unbeknownst to us, it's only when y'all feel defensive and personally criticize the act like heterophobia is real and that we're criticizing you as a het woman rather than men for their male violence, simply because we suggest you try your best to mitigate the harm they can do to you. We suggest y'all separate yourself from men for your own safety because we care about you, while also staying away from men ourselves. Because we understand that men lie about who they are and they're good intentions until they feel like they can trap you and then they abuse you, whether as your friend or your romantic partner. That this is a pattern that we have researched and studied and as feminists should be able to recognize without you acting like we are saying that y'all deserve to be abused. Because that's not what we are saying.

We are just giving you the tools and the encouragement for you to feel like you can go against the patriarchical teachings that you have to have a man to live a fulfilling life. Which I feel I must remind you is one of the most basic feminist actions you can do. Just simply encouraging other women to go against patriarchal teachings and help provide them the tools and support to do so. Like that is one of our main goals as radical feminist, because it builds female solidarity and feminist consciousness. I just finished rewatching ITSAY, and probably during the very first episode all I could think was “why did I ever root for Teh?” Seriously though, I had completely forgotten about the fact that he was originally pursuing Tarn. So when I remembered everything that goes down, I started getting more and more frustrated. Teh was a jerk that didn’t deserve Tarn or Ohaew. Tarn was hesitant to let herself fully have feelings for Teh, but she decided to give love a chance. Only for him to start becoming more and more distant, constantly bailing on their plans, even though he’s the one that initiated them. Like imagine if your friend announced that they were gonna start pursuing you romantically, and did so for 2 years, causing you to develop romantic feelings for them, only to reject you because they have feelings for someone else. And often times in bls, they have a girl as the third wheel and either make her character desperate, annoying, or lowkey homophobic, so that the audience will hate her and root for the main couple. But Tarn was nothing but a sweetheart and amazing friend that didn’t deserve to get her heart broken. She even went to check up on Teh after everything with down, because she still considered them friends and was worried about him. Then with Ohaew, he had a crush on literally the sweetest and most wholesome guy the writers could have possibly written, Bas. Bas is someone who was always by Ohaew’s side, constantly checking up on him whenever he was sad. Bas was never jealous or possessive over Ohaew (unlike Teh) and only ever wanted him to be happy, even if it was with someone else.From the time Ohaew and Teh became friends again, he was constantly putting Teh’s feelings before his own because he cared about him. Teh had to constantly be pacified, because he didn’t have a proper grasp over his own feelings/emotions, and only ever did what he wanted to even when it was selfish. And by his overall behavior towards Tarn and Ohaew, it was pretty much foreshadowed that Teh would be a cheater (those who have seen IPYTM will know). Overall I don’t think the chemistry and love they have is at all enough for me to excuse what Teh did.

lone wolves week 2022! i ended up putting all my little drabble submissions into one fic. i think i wrote most of them the day before the actual day it was supposed to be posted? as usual, i skipped free day because i'm so bad at those.

azuma and sakuya one was cute and domestic! i like them and i always have camellia to cherry blossom on the brain (the fic by desikauwa i think) so yeah!

azuchi brainrot is azuchi because my friend super loved azuchi when they were into a3 and it rubbed off on me lol

the hisoka and sakuya one is silly because the entire fake play it's based off is actually a sakuya/homare play. nieves (hisoka) is my favorite because i love hisoka, and she's in love with zenaida (citron) to a. hm. questionable degree because i'm a sucker. liberato's (sakuya) the colead, he's cute but a menace, and he betrays vedasto (homare, lead) at the end of the second act. other actors in the play are ramil (azuma) and basilio (chikage), and all the names are based off filipino gods/names/words.

azuhiso cute and soft there's nothing much to say, tbh.

chikage & hisoka is the. most un-normal one. idk. they have me fucked up. they are also fucked up. they are traumatized in the same way but in a different way but they are family and it's. certainly a thing.

the last chikage & sakuya one is. hmm. i think it's inspired partially by another similar fic that percy timeskipped wrote + partially by the scene in act 12 (or 11?) where sakuya sees aunt yoshinaga, but don't quote me on this because i barely remember writing this tbh.

I feel like, even before I was really aware of LGBT+ issues, I felt it was really rude and mortifying to misgender someone. Like when I was about 13 and homophobic (terrified of being a lesbian and of lesbians crushing on me — spoiler alert I am a lesbian), there was a kid in my middle school who was androgynous and who had a name that didn't really give any clues about their gender. It was like 2012/2013 and I didn't even know about nonbinary people at the time, nor was I on tumblr or anything like that, but still I said confidently "if you aren't sure of someone's gender just refer to someone as they. It's easy".

Like idk man it's always been really really rude and insulting to assume someone's gender and get it wrong. MASSIVE social faux pas. And like idk even back then if someone said they were a woman, regardless of appearance, like I'd never have said they were wrong about it. I might have been confused, sure, but I'd never have thought they were like, lying or something. Basically I'm saying that I think transphobia makes people like, extra rude to strangers.

Also I live in Canada so we don't call people sir/ma'am like they do in the states. So it's also pretty easy to avoid gendering a stranger if you aren't 100% sure.
