Fuck this. I just wish that stories were allowed to END, you know. No spontaneous seasons added on. No cliffhangers in the hope that the streaming service doesn’t cancel the whole show anyway. No hints of future movies in the ones that are supposed to finish off a story arc. No talks of actors coming back. No dragging up stories that were finished and done with over a decade ago and give them yet another movie.

one of my number one pieces of advice for transmascs starting t or who want to start t is WASH YOUR FACE. when you wake up and when you go to bed. get a decent acne-preventing facial cleanser and an oil-free moisturizer or whatever works for you and have a routine– preferably before going on t so you’re already used to it. my doctor was really surprised that I hadnt gotten much acne since starting t (almost 2 years now) and though it’s also partly genetics, I know for a Fact based on how quickly my face gets oily now that it’d be infinitely worse if not for getting used to washing my face more often/thoroughly. remember. yes this is like Puberty 2 BUT you have the fuckin heads up this time and can plan accordingly and that makes a BIG difference

That and it retaining chronological order are the main reasons I've stuck with tumblr for so long. Other sites have gone the curated-but-with-other-posts route and I have yet to find one that's good and didn't try funneling people down the alt-right pipeline. Algorithms simply cannot be trusted.
I also have to wonder how exactly they'll go about getting consent from "new creators" to do this because pushing this without permission could bring someone a lot of unexpected ire and hate, not to mention opens up an exploit where spammers/brands could keep creating new accounts to get their scam/product in front of people.
Think pornbot followers are bad? It will get so much worse if there's an automated system that will put phishing links directly on people's dashboards.

#somehow i doubt tumblr will set up a department to handle applications for this so will automate it#we already have ads/sponsored posts/blazed/in your orbit/radar posts why do we want or need another#why not give 'new creators' 5 free blazed posts or something like that so it's opt-in and goes through some semblance of approval?#because if there's no oversight and it's automated i guarantee you scammers will find a way to exploit it#the success rate on the pornbot followers has to be extremely low but is still successful enough for it to be considered worth it#links (especially now that legit-looking links can be hijacked) put directly on someone's dash would have a higher success rate than that#even if it's images-only if there's a link to a website or ko-fi on the profile those can be malicious links#and neither scammers nor brands have issues stealing art or designs to get attention so even if there's an image there's no#guarantee it's actually the artist or a real account
