How hard is it for you to approach new people you want to interact with?

[[Oh I am the worst at this. There are people I have been mutuals with for literal years and never spoken to until a third party introduced us directly. And not just mutuals but like, we have followed each other across several different blogs (both mine and theirs) for mulitple years levels of bad.

Some examples of this include but aren't limited to my wife Cris (@thegatesofinfinitespace ) and Spoop ( @darckcarnival ) and in both cases someone else had to put us into a group chat before we started talking. Oops.

I try to at the very least send memes / asks/ headcanon stuff to people who I'm moots with as a sort of gentle ice breaker but even that is kind of tough for me at times.

I also am pretty bad at DMing people first. I've managed it a handful of times in the past but that required me already knowing they were interested (they sent asks, liked for starters, etc). Like in theory I know if we're following each other, people want to interact with me, but in practice I am very bad at remembering it.

Most of the people you see me regularly interacting with and reaching out to approached me first and did so several times. They have effectively brute forced me into friendship and it's working 10/10 love my extroverted buddies because without them I would be lost.]]

After Jack's video today I'm left wondering...

Do you think Marvin might've possibly gotten pulled into the Upside-Down? Is that why we're only getting glimpses of him through glitches in reality? Did he try something dangerous in attempts to break through to Jack? Maybe he tried using Anti somehow and possibly got cast into the shadow realm for his hubris?

It's still wildly unclear, but I definitely think that was him in the video, and I really get the feeling that Marvin might be a victim of his own making in all of this somehow (urged on by malicious gamer of course)

so i know it’s not the easiest thing to hear, but at the beginning of the video when we get asked to tell the WAIA what numbers we hear for the sake of calibration, there are actual numbers being said. they’re hard to hear, but they’re there.

when you pitch the audio up (like i’ve done here), you can hear them much more clearly:

now the question is... do those numbers mean anything? i’m very out of touch with all of the ego theories to put it lightly, so these numbers could mean something and it’s just flying right over my head... or they could mean nothing at all and they’re just there for the sake of spoops. idk. :P

ash died in the lavender town ghost episode when a chandelier fell on him, hes just posessing his old body because his "unfinished business" is being the best pokemon trainer - but as a ghost he can no longer progress or change, so whenever he tries to "finish" his unfinished business he is unable to, because he can't get any stronger than he was when he died. p sure pikachu also died there but they're so attached to ash japanese myths say they (as ash's friend, monster, and "pet") would tie their spirit to ash out of love and loyalty.

Me now: Wow okay yeah these broke disasters drowning in debt and picking up part-time gigs to supplement the meager pay from their crap job working for an evil boss are ONE THOUSAND PERCENT in their twenties, huh.

We owe JJ an apology

And here’s why- What if JJ’s original appearance was to warn Jack and the egos about Anti? JJ came from a timeline that had been overrun by Anti. While trying to reach his destination, our Anti interfered. Knowing that JJ knew of his plans, he took his voice from him so he couldn’t convey his message to the others- and threw him off course. Yet, JJ found a way to communicate to us anyways- Through acting.

He conveyed his message as best he could- He showed us that Anti hides behind the facade of others, that he is drawn to blood and knives- and most importantly, that he’s always watching. Then, only seconds later, the boy is completely chipper and happy again- as if nothing had happened at all.

I’ll tell you why, my dudes- because that right there?

Acting.

JJ was never possessed by Anti. But- there was a kind of...communication error between us. These sort of things happen, especially with one party being unable to vocalize. The message of the video was strewed, and what we saw was Anti tying his strings to a new puppet. We immediately assumed that JJ was a simple pawn working for the big man himself- if not that JJ was some evil higher power on his own. Unfortunately, that might have some repercussions.  As we all know, the community has a big impact on the canon world. We have a lot of control over who we give power to. What if we accidentally stripped JJ of his power?

Imagine- you work your hardest to travel back in time to help your friends, only to have the big bad of your timeline steal your voice and condemn you to failure. But you still try. You show the audience who he is- and yet, despite your best efforts, you’re seen as nothing more then a puppet. People theorize that you’re working for the man you’re trying to prevent. That you’ve never been good- you have to be evil. It would be soul-crushing, wouldn’t it? And in this world, where we know characters rely on hope and a ‘positive mental attitude’, we’ve now torn this away from one of the kindest, sweetest egos there is. We. Owe. Him. An. Watched the Latest Marvel What-if

I don’t know why I opted to watch the dark and scary episode during Lunch when I’m stressed but I did. And much regret.

Not that it was bad! I actually genuinely enjoyed it. I’d seen a lot of gifs on Tumblr that made me go ‘huh’ and so I had to watch it and see for myself. 

Spoilers beneath the cut:

So admittedly it was DARK. Like I remember people going into it like ‘Pft, Disney going to pull all the punches’ 

Hahahaha, nope. I’m not a big horror/gore fan but it felt like the right dose for me. I mean yeah they weren’t GRATUITOUS but they definitely had some on screen deaths. Played up the horror. Didn’t solely rely on jumpscares.

The only one really was kind of Peter accidentally jumpscaring Kurt which was great XP.

I did get spoiled that Vision was feeding people to Wanda. But when I read that he fed T’Challa to her... I thought ‘Well RIP T’Challa.’ but instead I’m like ‘OH YAY! You’re ALIVE!’

I was DEVASTATED when Hope died. I was like ‘no girl NO.’

And then she dies after going giant I’m like ‘Well... you do realize she’s going to become a giant zombie- oh we’re just leaving her there. Okay.’

And admittedly it didn’t hit me until AFTER the fact, but man they killed off ALL the ladies! Like we couldn’t have kept Okoye? 

Like we couldn’t have Vision yank her from Wanda at the last minute rather than have her just be BOOM dead. 

I admittedly can’t pick which of the guys I’d RATHER have died. But I just would’ve liked to have at least ONE lady survive with them. Just one! 

I will say having Hope do the Antman strat everyone on the net joked about... is it dark that it was like ‘yes this is what likely would’ve happened.’

I’m actually shocked they did that.

I mean yeah they didn’t focus on it, just ‘suddenly Wasp’

I do wish it hadn’t led to her getting infected though :(

I mean I guess in theory Captain Marvel is still in existence in the Zombies universe so we’ve got A female hero? Maybe? (Plz).

Though admittedly that ending... oof.

I couldn’t tell if Thanos was already IN wakanda. The shield was still up so I assume no. But it was hard for me to tell tbh. 

But seeing zombie thanos with the gauntlet just. The dread skyrocketed. He has all of them EXCEPT the mindstone, and we’re down to 2 avengers with T’Challa down a leg. 

REALLY wish they’d had Okoye survive! 

at least then we’d have three... not sure how that evens the odds but it’d make me happier.

Anyways I do REALLY love Bruce’s send off telling Peter to ‘Avenge us’. I LOVED that. It felt so good.

And I also just loved Hulk vs. Wanda. Since it seemed Hulk can’t get infected and we know Wanda’s OP sure. But we don’t SEE Hulk bite the dust so maybe.

Bucky though I think he’s gone. Considering that Wanda went for Hulk.

That’s another thing that bugs me, we see all three women die pretty conclusively but the men it’s more up in the air, though highly unlikely (I mean Scott survived despite being ground zero so y’know XP).

A lot of people are noting that Hank Pym is doing a LOT to the MCU. I like the comparison to Reed Richards XP. We don’t have him yet so we need one, and I’d honestly rather Hank Pym over Tony Stark.

Tony had to be the one to take the fall for making Ultron in the MCU.

I’m down to see Hank Pym being the one to mess stuff up in What if? 

Though who knows whats to come XP

Overall pretty spoop gonna need to chill after all that.

Hmmm, questions... Have you read or know about the Fazbear Frights series?

I have watched the Game theory episodes on them. Very weird series tbh. I don’t think I’ll end up actually reading them only because I hated books like Goosebumps as a kid and continue to hate them from being too easily spooped lol

"Answers"

This has been floating about in my brainspace since we got the wee E3 trailer but, Answers takes on a while new level when you split the song between the WoL and Hydaelyn as the voices. This is pure speculation/theorycraft on my part but it gave me the goosies so I thought I'd share!

Obligatory possible spoiler warning??? Read on our skip now I guess!

Now, some folk- myself included- are curious at the idea of Hydaelyn having 'tempered' the WoL. This is what the 'blessing' is and why we can laugh in the face of Primals etc. Keep that in mind and have a quick read. Blue for the WoL and purple for Hydaelyn:

The first verse echoes our current situation heavily. The third is most interesting; shining justice and a flowing well of purpose could fit with the Primal idea, 'walk free' could be because we aren't bound to one location and can carry out Her will anywhere, the land is alive is self explanatory.

The chanting part to me always felt like the voices of struggling soldiers being welcomed to rest anyway, so this thought train just done made it level 10 spoop.

This verse. This verse man. 'Lost in hope we lie defeated' and 'our bodies forsaken' now sound vaguely horrifying. Chained to the will of something to be reborn over and over because of two bitter Gods that can't throw a punch themselves? And the last two verses? Damn son. Though the second verse of chanting could be reversed colour-wise. I'm on the fence about who to fit that one too but.

You get the idea! I won't chisel into it too much because I'm rambling at this point really. I just got excited and wanted to share as I do so love stories that circle back like that. If it's on purpose that is some fantastic writing, if not, then it's a cool little theory!
