LOL All of the Potato Head things are fug, I never liked mine because he seemed pointless to me (I was a picky little artist, preferring to create on paper). Guess that's why I haven't bothered to pick this one up.

About a week ago on instagram, I saw a video of a woman who lives on the canals in the UK talk about one of the things that helps her get through winter. She has a little fireplace as a cooker, which stays in all night and puts a potato in there before going to bed as a nice treat to wake up to.

Now im a life long potato lover. Im known for my love of spuds but since then, the primal peasant irish descended part of my brain has been craving specifically baked potatoes. I cannot stop thinking about them. It's on my mind all the time and as we are now approaching winter in Australia, I'm resisting the urge to cook potatoes overnight. It would not be conducive to my life but i am COMPELLED.

My aunts are visiting and we went to the farmer’s market this morning and the potato museum in the afternoon. It was a lot of fun and we’d somehow never visited it before. The whole time we walked through the place we could smell French fries. We got tater tots and waffle fries at the museum café and they were really good. I’ve got a favorite chocolate milk called Reed’s that they had at the café. It’s made with potato flakes (they make it creamier) and it’s really good. It makes great hot chocolate too. (Sorry I was sort of in the photo, I try not to be when I take pictures)

The world record for biggest crisp. Poor thing didn’t get to the museum unscathed though. Or it cracked after it had been there for a while. It is 32 years old I guess!

The biggest potato grown in Idaho. I wonder which recipes they made with it.

They had a ton of potato kitchen tools (for peeling and mashing). And some gloves for washing potatoes that I’d never heard of before today. They seem like they’d be nice and I kinda want to try them to save my hands.

The museum was fun anyway but then they threw a pun at me. 😝 I appreciated it.

And the gift shop was adorable. I only took this photo since I already have enough stuffed animals. I might get a pig if we ever go again though. I probably won’t be able to resist.

It was a lot of fun and my aunts loved it too. They’ve liked most stuff about Idaho, especially Bigfoot. We also went to a candy store (a brochure said it was a saloon in 1890) and my dad got a lot of fudge.

We don’t have anywhere like that in our town so he stocked up a bit. I’m glad we visited there too since he was really happy about it. It was a good trip!

Some Spuddy Buddies (the Idaho Potato Commission mascot). They were above a little cinema room that played videos about potatoes. They’re cute but I liked the pig stuffed animal better.

And that’s all my potato rambling! It would be fun to visit the museum again sometime. It was about time I went there, hahah!

One of my aunts got a bunch of potato lip balm and gave me a Huckleberry one.
