This is so hilariously accurate it hurts. We had Chain of Memories as a nice little stump between KH and KH2. But then instead of growing into a similar stump, Birth by Sleep became this tall tree that caused all these other tall trees to shoot off from it and get in the way of KH3…which in its final form is shielded by the boulder that is the 2.8 HD Collection.

I speak for us all when I say: poor Daffy.

Harassing already overstressed, overworked employees is not okay. ESPECIALLY since it's been documented they've been working under discriminatory and predatory management, been through multiple crunches, and have an unidentified neo-Nazi on their team who management did not properly address and fire.

You can still be critical of a game and not harass the people who made it. Hell, you can absolutely hate a game and still be respectful to the people who made it. I'm sure the creators are far more likely to listen to the fans if we give constructive criticism than if we irresponsibly and cruelly send threats.

I know most people who see this haven't sent hate, and to those people: this post isn't about you. I massively respect you for maintaining your rationality and empathy. But for those who have sent hate or are thinking of doing so, please reconsider. Sending hate isn't going to change anything; it'll only break the fandom even further apart and stress out overworked employees. If you're going to be mad, be mad at the higher-ups at Square Enix for turning the franchise into a cash cow and at the upper management at Deck Nine for overworking and alienating their employees. (Also be mad at that 1 neo-Nazi because seriously, WTF!?)

But please, even to the worst of the worst, do not send death threats or harass people.

I find it unbelievable how Square Enix is basically giving Chloe and Max the same treatment as Tidus and Yuna.

So you have these two beautiful stories, with these couples having that kind of love that feels eternal, with one of them literally going to hell and back for the other.

Everything Max did was for Chloe. She literally broke time and space for her.

Final Fantasy X-2 started because Yuna wanted to find out if Tidus was still alive.

And in both stories, when they're finally reunited you get a sense of eternity. Of a story that finally came to an end and wrapped up beautifully.

And then they decide to ruin it all with pointless addictions to a story that was already complete. They ruined Tidus and Yuna with that audio thingy (seriously wtf was even that) and they ruined Max and Chloe with a pointless sequel.

Get your shit together Square Enix, life sucks as it is, can't you at the very fucking least let me believe in love in these stories? That's the whole fucking point of having these kind of stories! Jesus.

i nearly pissed my pants when finishing this like 5 times because of ardyn bro FUCK ARDYN (hes HOMOPHOBIC). honestly i lowkey did that too when playing the main game but that was because of the jumpscares. then after that i got even more pissed off on tabata's behalf (note i have yet to finish the other 3 dlc) cause like yeah you see the guys in the main story but this like fleshed out ignis so much. u really cant tell just *how* (how to do italics??) much ignis cares for noct and is willing to not just put his life on the line but to totally lose it in order to protect him. afaik (or assume) iggy is probably closest to noct out of the bros (again assuming from brotherhood n the opening scene) and he had pretty much just been always hanging around (key to his apartment) noct. we get to see all that from iggy's perspective (literally at times) which the main game was very much missing and this was practically supplemental materials to the course that is ffxv. alas they killed off tabata and now we have nothing to see. i cant really comment on ardyn & im still weighing my options for the novel (i hate spending money but i hate buying licenses more) but it seems that something regarding bahamut comes up (more soon). like honestly this is lowkey as a whole but anything under tabatas command has this melancholy to it that we will probably never see the of light again and i think this verse 2 is yet another example of what could have been but wasnt due to the workplace opps. moral of the story is there are always jealous losers after you, but when they think they've won they've just sent a bunch of other people after themselves...

anyways i think thats enough regarding the story. i want to comment on iggy himself. i found it really funny that even with his glasses off he could see clearly (why even wear them especially because he literally looks fine without them) with apparently enough that he could fight ardyn. lowkey though this guy is like one of those "fashion mfs" (i have tik tok brainrot) like bro you could see his collar sparkling in the sun as well as his belt?? on top of that his shirt is leopard print (as well as the roen skull) and the necklace like wtf... this guy is an inspiration. i really like the implication that he does his hair every morning without fail and tbf i think aside from the dlc whenever the rest of the bros get dirty ignis is somehow the cleanest (except in those crestholm channels) as well as the fact that he remains clean shaven through those 10 years. i need to be like him STAT. wonyoungism more like ignisism...

combat wise i feel like theres that slowness again but its not just with ignis; with gladio sure its expected and it took time to get used to it with noct but noct's warping abilities make up for it. this isnt a big deal tbh just a little annoying especially with how (at least for me) lt will dodge and lb would have "warped" but otherwise gameplay here is pretty simple too. honestly even with that like the fact that ravus and even aranea never became playable is a loss bc iggy n ravus synergize pretty well. whatever no point in focusing on what could have been. instead we have to focus on what will be (i filled out the square enix ff survey with a wish for more ffxv... if more people do it perhaps they will hear our pleas...) please i need more of my beautiful king ignis.........

Ok4ru. Is it just me, or is the KH community is falling apart right now? I see fans complaining, blaming Square Enix or Final Fantasy. Some said KH4 should stay in Ue4 instead 5, and some give up hope on it, or some said the game should get canceled, and fans fighting each other. Like WTF? Sorry for this ask bubby 😔

Hopefully they don't!! I just really hope the ffvii remake doesn't come out and there STILL no word about KH4 because that's gonna bring up some concerning red flags.

Sadly, this isn't new for the community sadly. To be honest this is gonna be like the wait between KH2-KH3 but this time no spin off games in the middle.

There is gonna be some fuss about things and blames being thrown around.

Everything is just in shambles so if I was you I would just go in a corner, fixate on my favorite characters until something good happens get a new fixation or just lay back on an old one.

I just ignore the community stuff cause sometimes it's just negative.

didn't get a chance to play DE yet, but I humored myself with some playthroughs already and I'm... questioning shit rn. I just checked what max's phone has to offer in my ending (bae ending with pricefield as... hs sweethearts apparently). and I just don't understand wtf happened. I don't want to spoil the main plot of DE, but the way they don't offer any datas or timeframe... I'm kinda offended by the messages shown in max's phone. it looks so wrong. I mean, ofc there is the whole multiverse and I can believe that in some universe pricefield could've broken up but??? it feels wrong actually seeing it, I mean my expectations are my own mistakes, but... I need time to process

I mean, it could be great, but they promised to respect both endings. and the way I see it, most people who saved chloe didn't do it to see such an ending. I get that this stuff happens in real life, it's natural outcome for the relationship built on trauma, but for both Max and Chloe it's really off and out of character. I probably need to see more from the game to get a better perspective, but now i'm just sad.

OOF okay yeah I'm going to be brutally honest about my thoughts on Double Exposure.

So from the very first announcement, the concept left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt incredibly cheap to bring Max back, and I knew that even if the game was fantastic, that narrative choice would always rub me the wrong way. I don't like the idea of Deck Nine taking Dontnod's characters and continuing a story that had been tied up with a perfect bow already. It feels...I don't know. It feels gross, I guess, is the best word I can use.

Chloe's lack of presence stood out to me immediately, and combined with the pieces of the game we'd seen, I knew she wouldn't be part of it. At best, there would be some offscreen explanation about her traveling or something (like how Dragon Age explains where the Warden went if you romanced Leliana). What they went with was...worse than I anticipated, lol.

In my opinion, it's very clear that they brought Max back solely to bait people into buying and playing, and it's backfiring HARDCORE on them right now. I've seen so many people cancelling their preorders and turning away from the game. The promos for the games were purposely avoiding a mention of Chloe, not to be fun and surprise the fanbase, but to string people along until the very last second. Clearly, it didn't work out!

It's really a bummer because I think I would have LOVED this game if it featured a new protagonist. I mean, switching timelines, a university story, an older protagonist? Absolutely right up my alley! But the fact that they dragged Max in to be the hook immediately turned me off to it.

To be honest, I would be very unsurprised if this is the last Life is Strange game after all the backlash that's already starting. And honestly? I'm kind of okay with that. I have concerns about how Deck Nine and Square Enix would/could handle future installments, since it feels like the integrity of the series has been degraded so much with DE.

I never had any plans to play the game, but I don't even really feel like watching a playthrough now either, lmao. All that to say, I really don't consider this game canon. This feels more like a parody than an actual continuation of Max's story.

It's very, very sad to me because the first game came out when I was a teenager trying to figure herself out, and Max and Chloe were very integral to exploring and discovering my sexuality (even before I realized it)!

I love True Colors and I think Deck Nine is capable of writing a compelling (if not a little lacking in some aspects) storyline, but diving back into Max's story was a really bad idea and I think it might be the series' downfall.

And...wow, I guess I had more to say than I realized 😅

Had the WILDEST experience in the level 99 dungeon last night where the WHM kept dying to every single mechanic, caused a near-wipe by not healing me (the tank) during a medium-sized pull, and then started randomly using shout chat in the dungeon to yell slurs at Square Enix over their "bad servers" because "lag".

Mega cringe.
