The Guardian Horses, based on their Circles (and their disciplines to a lesser degree)

A month ago, I asked what the Guardians' appearances should be based on if they were ever redesigned, and their Circles won.

Starshine: Snowflake Appaloosa Mustang. Western/Endurance. Concorde: Gold Champagne Akhal-Teke. Dressage. Tin-Can: Minimal Appaloosa Friesian Cross. Vaulting. Meteor: Paint Thoroughbred (or basic sport breed). Showjumping.

Follow up to this I guess

Got a portable drawing tablet for me birthday + early christmas and I am very awkward with it so I've been trying to doodle small things that doesn't require too much effort in order to get accustomed to it better

Frankly I feel like I'm progressing a lot with it, I'm discovering new tools and features everytime and I'm slowly trying to push the complexity of my drawings bit by bit

The only real big downside for now is my posture when I draw, I am never finding a confortable spot and am always curled up on myself which makes it so I get tired and sore very quickly

“Linda!!” Athena yelled, anger tinging her voice. “Meteor, get your tail over here before I singe it off!”

“It’s the only way to stop him!” Linda ducked under a swooping shadow. “I’m almost there!” Freja just about slid over the turf as she made the last push through the seekers to Ydris’ side, her gaze frantically looking for the source of the pain etched into his features. His eyes looked down at her at her hands’ desperate patting, unable to speak as the next thunderous tick had him nearly curl in on himself. 

Freja flinched with him, looking over to the source of the noise. 

“The clock?” She confirmed, gaze wide towards him. He mustered a nod, hissing through the throbbing pain emanating from his chest. 

“Linda, you moron, get out of there!” With her closing in on the Rider pair, the Seekers took Athena to be a fresh target, and split their attack. Not only did it prevent Athena from reaching her goal…it allowed Linda to maneuver more freely.

She turned Meteor towards the seething wall of red and black.

“Come on boy, we’re almost done…”

Spinning ‘Lypso out of the way of a particularly persistent Seeker, Athena realized she wouldn’t make it. Searching for anything that would help, she spied Onyx standing in the thick of the shadows.

Standing completely untouched.

Licking her lips, Athena gave a sharp whistle.

Onyx immediately pricked her ears, casting about for the source of the sound.

“Onyx! Clock!” Athena pointed at the monstrosity sitting on the rump of the laboring Starbreed to make sure there was no miscommunication.

Her tail twitched, locking in on her target as her ears tipped toward Meteor and tracked him to the hoofbeat as she charged through the seekers who parted before her hooves.

The ground shifted and an unearthly gurgling growl shook the big-top into the beginnings of a teeter. Freja caught some of Ydris’ weight as he winced, hissing something under his breath. “Hey, it’s okay. I’ve got you. Just hang on.” She soothed.

The red-head yelped as one of the shadows chasing her latched onto the arm she hadn’t retracted fast enough. “Blasted sonuva-!”

The rest of her cursing was drowned out in a shriek as Linda realized exactly what was bearing down on her at high speed.

“I’m gonna die!!!” she squealed.

Black ears swept back as teeth bared, a touch of red gleaming in Onyx’s eyes. Her heaving breaths nearly drowned out the clock as her back legs tucked under her, sailing over Meteor’s shoulder to avoid his raised head that quickly ducked forward.

Hooves flashed out, smashing the top half of the clock off, nearly knocking Meteor off his feet.

Chipped gears and splinters of wood flew from the impact, peppering the footing of the ring as Linda’s right hip happened to be right in the way of some of the shrapnel.

I decided that this year I will draw not only on the theme of Star Stable Online, but also on the theme of Starshine Legacy. Recently there was an opportunity to play old games and I liked it 🌝

Those 4 Months

{A Star Stable fanfic/Autiobiography}

9 months! It was supposed to have been 9 months! Instead, it was 5…

Aiyla Dawnda came into this world as a micro preemie who barely had a chance of survival. She was rushed off to the NICU of the Jorvik City Hospital and put on life support immediately after birth. The doctors don’t have much hope, especially after Aiyla goes through two heart attacks in quick succession the night she is born. Now, it is a race against time as her mothers anxiously wait and pray that their little Aiyla survives.

(I own nothing except for my Original Characters, everything else belongs to Star Stable Online or the original owners. SSO is an online horse MMO RPG made by Star Stable Entertainment. SSE is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

~PROLOGUE~

Linda and Heather Dawnda were overjoyed when they found out Heather was pregnant, happily dreaming of the life they would build together as parents. But their joy soon turned to fear when their baby arrived far too early…

Linda was at a showjumping competition in her hometown* of Dundull, focused on preparing her horse, Meteor, for the event. It was a moment she had worked tirelessly for, yet everything came to a halt when her trainer, Nona, pulled her aside and delivered the news: Heather had gone into early labor.

It felt like the rug had been pulled out from underneath her. Her heart raced as she struggled to process the news. "What?! N-Now? But she’s only 22 weeks…" Linda's breath hitched. Her mind raced, and for a moment, the noise around her faded. Twenty-two weeks. That was too early. Way too early. The risks were staggering! The word ‘viability’ echoed in her thoughts.

She and Heather had only just started imagining the nursery, the tiny shoes, the lullabies. And now they might- Get a grip, Linda, now is not the time to panic! She tried to clear the fog drowning her with a shake of her head, but it was Nona’s sharp tone that cut through her thoughts.

“You need to get your head in the game, Dawnda!” Nona barked. “You’re up next, so quit panicking about your kid being born a little early,” Linda stared at her, her trainer’s words not quite registering at first. Her breath hitched as if the air had thickened. Then, anger surged, clearing the fog.

Linda straightened, her fists clenching at her sides. “My wife is having our baby almost four months too early,” she snapped, her voice trembling with fury. “So excuse me if I’m a little more concerned about my family right now when my kid might die!”

Nona sighed and shook her head in exasperation.“Look, I get it that this is hard,” her tone clipped. “But we all have obligations, and this competition is yours.  That’s the reality of professional competition. And if you leave, you forfeit. Doctors deal with early babies all the time. They’ll handle yours, so why don’t you focus on the competition? Besides, you and Meteor have been practicing for months and this is your chance! That scout out there is searching for the next Grand Prix champion and that champion is you!”

“Well then, I am leaving! My family needs me right now, and that’s more important to me than some ribbon or scout!” before the trainer could even open her mouth to get another word in, Linda had already turned heel and stormed out of the stables to her car.

Linda and Meteor

In my personal opinion Meteor is a slightly smaller and more "sporty" model than what he is in the game. Linda and Meteor do compete in show jumping and to be doing more "elite" competitions a sporty horse model is easier. Don't get me wrong, bigger sizes horses can jump. But making Meteor a Nordic swedish horse or another bigger model don't really make sense for me.

If you guys have another opinion about that then please let me know :)
