Full-Size / True Color Version
Sometimes I think about the fact that first living being to orbit the Earth couldn't understand what was happening to her, couldn't understand the history she was making. Laika wasn't a volunteer. The technology to bring her back alive didn't exist. They sent her up anyway. She died, scared and alone, in a malfunctioning spacecraft hastily built to meet a political deadline.
When her heart rate tripled from the stress of acceleration, did she understand the magnitude of what she was experiencing? When she saw the stars outside her little window, did she believe the world had gone dark? In her final hours, did she feel wonder, or just fear?
"The more time passes, the more I’m sorry about it. We shouldn’t have done it. We did not learn enough from this mission to justify the death of the dog. When you understand that you can’t bring back Laika, that she perishes out there, and that no one can bring her back…that is a very heavy feeling."
Oleg G. Gazenko
For me, there's some small consolation, at least, in knowing that although her death was unnecessary and cruel, Laika will never be forgotten. I love you, Laika. May you find peace among the stars.

What baby quilt should I make next? Options are (clockwise from top left): shades of green, beetles and lizards and frogs oh my, buttons and butterflies, and rainbows and denim (it’s not actually denim)
I’m leaning towards the buttons and butterflies, because it’ll be a really really simple 3x3 or 4x4 patchwork, but I think I will like literally any of the other finished quilts better
I almost forgot to say, the fabric at the bottom of each fabric set is the fabric that will be the quilt backing

Greatest hits from the two craft markets of this season so far:
At the brewfest attendees were encouraged to bring their own reusable mugs (contest for most creative, super cute). I commented on a lady's plain mug with a Duluth Trade Co. logo on it mistaking it for the cidery- she then stared at her mug, then purchased one of my vinyl stickers and asked me to place it over the logo- 'There, now it's got part of you' -idk this was really sweet
Another lady, staring at my fairy portal lino, then to her friend- 'y'know this reminds me of those trees that grow around old gravestones...they're so...yonic'
Today a young queer goth kid asks if I take commissions (blessedly never been asked this at a craft market table), me, suspiciously, 'what for?' and he asks 'Have you ever seen Ginger Snaps?' and then I almost knock over the pizza box I have behind my table

Got inspired by @obsessingoverthesillies to do a build of my Lord Protector's room in the castle :) the vampire game pack came in especially handy but I used some modded content too
This is what I do instead of working on my fic
^overview of the bedroom from the front and the back
^close up of the sitting/music area and the computer desk (cause i gotta have my gaming set up)
^close up of the door to the balcony and the bookshelves/secret doors to the bathroom and closet
^the balcony
^the bathroom (the toilet is behind the divider you can't see it good)
^the closet
^the staircase from the closet and the coffin room it leads too
^a bonus concept for Rollo's room in the castle. It's pretty small and plain but I imagine he wouldn't spend much time there anyway. Also yes I downloaded that drum kit mod just for him 🥰
oh my god i'm just realizing i left the build mode grid in ugh screw it i'm not retaking these

Hey everyone, my print shop is fully stocked and open!
Check it out over at caeboa.bigcartel.com
Everything I’ve printed and still have in stock is listed, so of there’s some old art I drew you’re dreaming about it might just be there. I also compiled a full print catalogue here to check and see if something came in a certain size and what the design is called on the storefront. All my prices are listed in CAD and I take payment through Paypal / Paypal checkout.
I’ve also listed my newer charms, like the OMORI flower charms, OMORI Sweetheart, Komi, Yuuji and Beatrice. Mosaics drawn from July onwards sadly aren’t listed as I’ll be printing those for the first time this coming March for Toronto ComiCon but they will be available in the future.
Even if you aren’t planning to buy this time if you could help spread this around it’d be much appreciated!

So I'm shopping on Etsy for ACOTAR merch for Christmas (because I wanted to treat myself this year), and good GOD there are so many Tamlin's Tears mugs and Salty Little Bitch Tamlin candles and bookmarks. Whyyyy? At least the Suriel Tea mugs are kind of funny.
It makes me want to make my own stuff instead, to be honest.
