I have never played this game, nor did I know of it! However, after skimming through the wiki, I can confirm that at least most of them are real moths!

A game that reminds me of Neko Atsume.

Let me share with you some screenshots and why I like this game so much. It's a moth collect em all.

WARNING this game has a random element and microtransactions, think gatcha game. It can be played entirely free to play however it will not be possible to get every single creature if you do. If you are prone to gambling behaviors please avoid this game. I do not consider the monetization predatory or intrusive in this game. The monetization is better than many free to play titles. I will talk about the monetization further below.

The game is played by dragging moths around, tapping on moths, tapping on flowers, tapping on ants, and waiting.

Personally I enjoy just opening up the game for a few minutes at night before bed. The music/sounds are relaxing. The moths are pretty. It does that thing to my brain that makes you feel like you did something worth doing. The effort required is minimal.

It reminded me of Neko Atsume because of the minimal interactive nature and the generally relaxing atmosphere.

I am now going to post in detail about this game.

This is generally what the game looks like:

You start off with an empty forest. You grow eggs into caterpillar into pupa into moths. (See diagram below)

You can send moths off on little missions with the owl. The owl will ask for a specific type, size, or rarity or moth. You will generally be able to optimally fulfill this request. Sometimes however you will have to send out a moth that doesn't optimally fulfill the request.

You grow eggs that you need to wait to hatch. Time required scales with rarity. Once hatched you feed the caterpillar leaves until it becomes a pupa. You need to wait several times in this process. Then it becomes a moth.

To grow your moths you need to tap on flowers to grow and collect pollen. Then you drag your moths to the pollen. Pollen levels up the moth. If you grow multiple of the same moth you can fuse them together to upgrade the moth. This increases its maximum level which then requires pollen to grow to.

Tapping on Moths will give you gold coins which you need to fuse moths, to chop away some leaves (this expands your forest), and to buy things in the shop.

Tapping on Moths sometimes also gives you glowing treats to feed to the frog.

The frog gives you special flowers that can alter the chance of getting a certain size, rarity, or type moth. These flowers can be fused together to make a higher percentage chance flowers.

Sometimes these flowers can be bought in the shop also. The shop offers items you can buy with 2 currencies. Gold is freely earned in game. Glowbucks are more premium and generally paid for with real life currency. You do get some glowbucks for logging in or doing specific tasks but generally they are much harder to acquire as a free player. I recommend just scrolling down to the bottom of the shop if you do not want to spend any real money.

The monetization is not too in your face or predatory in my opinion. No crazy pop ups. No buy this in the next 4 hours etc with warnings and whatnot. There is a 7 day timer for some items in the store itself. There is one area where they particularly try to get people to spend money (ant event) by offering better quality plant seeds and "fertilizer" that speeds up/eliminates wait time.

The snail offers various amounts of gold, items needed to expand your storage, and premium currency called glowbucks. There are only six free items per day. However you can get multiple of the 2 lowest gold amounts.

There's also 2 different types of ants that you can tap for a small amount of gold. They will randomly pop up around your forest.

The moths come from all sorts of regions and all sorts of sizes and rarity. You can get special moths from "Ant events" where typically you grow mushrooms in a garden. This is section is structured in a way to try get you to buy microtransactions but you can still get a cool moth playing free. No pictures for this as it's not happening in game at the moment.

You can also add people as friends but I'm not sure if it actually does anything as I do not have any friends.

I really love this game. It's beautiful and relaxing. Doesn't try to monopolize my time too much. Satisfying to see my forest slowly expand. I hope you love it too or at least enjoyed reading what I had to say about it.
