"took you long enough to get here, mate." he firmly pats tama on the shoulder. "never thought it would actually. always thought you stay where you were or join that other place." finn laughs awkwardly. "how you, dude?"

seth was no stranger to jealousy. a man so deep routed within it that he learned to live with the seething bad quality. though time to time there was just something that made it spike. lighting it aflame. there was no one to blame that on other than the lovely finn balor who he whole heartedly despised right now. and what happened to his girl that decided to run along and join their little pathetic group? he hated every one of them. bunch of idiots. it’s no wonder they formed a faction together. but becky. why. why did she join them of all people? even the sight of her speaking to finn was enough to throw seth into a spiral, nevermind witnessing them work together again. not only that but seth had a huge target on his back with the world heavyweight championship. beautiful piece of gold that was open for the idiot with a briefcase to try get. all while finn was constantly jumping down his throat too. he couldn’t catch a damn break.

“ hey ” he somehow catches up with becky in the empty hallways of the arena, a stern tone to his voice as if he desperately needs to talk to her . there’s no sight of the others. as of now. but he’s got a feeling in the back of his mind that they’re lurking around somewhere just ready to cause some sort of trouble. “ i don’t want to see you or the rest of them anywhere near that ring at summerslam ” if he was going to deal with finn, he wanted to do it alone. not with her in his corner “ especially you ”

I only had a few hours to relax in my hotel room before I had to get ready. Tonight was the start of WrestleMania weekend with NXT TakeOver: Dallas. Triple H had invited me to see the show and to do some press for WrestleMania.

Luckily, it didn't take me long to get ready for the night.

Once I was dressed, I grabbed the Divas belt before heading outside where a car was waiting for me.

When I got to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, I went inside and found my seat in the front row. Tonight was the first NXT show I got to go to since it was known as FCW. It was nice to just be a fan in the crowd for once rather than being in the ring.

The show soon got underway. A tag team title match kicked off the night. Followed by a few singles matches and a match for the NXT Women's Championship. The last match of the night was for the NXT Championship. The challenger was Samoa Joe and the current NXT Champion was Finn Balor. Tonight, Balor was in his demon gimmick.

The match was just getting started when Joe's face got busted open. The ref kept pausing the match to wipe the blood from his face which was just pissing off the crowd. The chants ranged from "let Joe bleed" to "fuck PG."

The two got close to the barricade which led to Joe throwing Finn over the barricade and accidentally into me. I did my best to catch Finn, but the chair I was in tipped over and we both ended up on the floor.

Finn gave me an apologetic look before quickly getting up and getting back to his match. I sat my chair back up so I could watch the rest of the show.

Later...

When the show was finished I went backstage to find Hunter, but I ended up running into Finn first.

"Uh..it's (Y/N) right?" Finn asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"I just wanted to apologize for landing on you earlier and for getting face paint all over you," Finn said.

"Oh, it's fine, don't worry about it," I said.

"Are you sure?" Finn asked.

"Yeah, the paint will wash out and if it doesn't at least it can be a conversation starter," I said.

He laughed.

"I'm glad you see it that way," Finn said.

"Hey, do you happen to know where Hunter is?" I asked.

"He's usually back with pictures after a show," Finn said. "Come on, I'll show you."

I followed him to where they were doing photo ops and sure enough, Hunter was there.

"Hey, (Y/N)," Hunter said when he saw me walk in. "What'd you think of the show?"

"It was awesome," I said. "It seems like a great roster and I loved the energy coming from the crowd tonight."

"Who knows, maybe I'll get you in NXT one of these days," Hunter said.

"Maybe," I said.

"Hey, since you have the Divas title here, would you mind getting a few pictures with our NXT champ?" Hunter asked. "It could be good promotion for WrestleMania especially after that fall you took."

"Very funny, but I'm up for it if you are," I said, looking over at Finn.

"Let's do it," Finn said with a smile.

After we took a few pictures together I planned on leaving, but Finn stopped me.

"Are you going to be in town for a bit?" Finn asked.

"Well yeah," I said. "I'm kinda needed for WrestleMania."

"Oh, right," Finn said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Would you want to go out for dinner tonight?" Finn asked.

"Uh...sure," I said. "We should probably both get cleaned up first though."

"Yeah, of course," Finn said. "Where are you staying?"

"I'm at the hotel a few blocks down," I said.

"Okay, how about I meet you there in an hour?" Finn asked.

"Sounds good," I said.

I left the Convention Center and went back to my hotel room. I decided to take a quick shower since I had the time.

As I was getting out of the shower, I heard my phone buzzing on the counter. I wrapped a towel around myself before answering it.

"Hey, Seth," I said after accepting the call. "What's up?"

"The three of us are heading out for drinks. You in?" Seth asked.

I put my phone on speaker and laid it back on the counter so I could get dressed.

"Can't," I said. "I already have plans."

"What plans?" Seth asked. "And why do you sound so far away?"

"You're on speaker so I can finish getting ready," I said.

"Ready for what?" Seth asked.

"I'm going out to dinner," I said.

"Why would you go out by yourself and not with us?" Seth asked.

"Never said I was going by myself," I said. "I met a guy at NXT TakeOver tonight and he invited me out."

"Who's the guy?" Seth asked.

"Finn Balor," I said. "He had a match tonight and ended up getting thrown into me."

"That's a hell of a way to meet," Seth said.

"Tell me about it," I said. "Well I should probably get going."

"Alright, we'll talk later," Seth said.

"You got it," I said before hanging up the phone.

I finished getting ready just in time for Finn to pick me up.

The two of us spent the next few hours having dinner and getting to know each other.

Before we said our goodbyes for the night, we made plans to go out for drinks after WrestleMania.

Prince With Benefits: Chapter 1

Pairing: Finn Balor X OFC (Ciara)

Warnings: Mature to explicit as the story goes on.

Description: After moving to the USA from England to start her career as an NXT superstar, Ciara gets to meet her long time crush, NXT champion Finn Balor. It's clear the pair have chemistry, but when tensions start to rise, will they find they want more than a no strings attached relationship?

A/n: So this is the first piece of fanfic I have written literally ever. I will be posting them here periodically, but I already have 6 chapters out on my Wattpad, AO3 and FanFiction pages.

This series will involve romance, drama and (although it will take a little while) some smutt too. Hope you enjoy it! 😊

Chapter 1: The Tour

"You'll be making your debut in 3 weeks. That should give us plenty of time to develop a story for your character, and highlight anything you need to work on. Moves, promos, that kind of thing."

Paul looked at me, seemingly expecting some form of reply, but in all honesty I was still struggling to believe that I was even here at all.

"Did you have any ideas about your gimmick?" he looked back down through my file as I snapped out of my haze.

"Yes actually," I responded "I made a few notes and I was hoping to spitball some of them with you."

He looked up from his paper and stared at me. He appeared half way between surprised and impressed. Most new superstars don't have the confidence to pitch their own ideas and just let WWE's creative team do whatever they think is best.

"Well okay!" he smiled "Let's hear them!"

We spent about 20 minutes looking over my notes. Paul made a few scribbles, circled ideas he was particularly fond of, and eventually we had something we were very happy with.

One thing I was adamant about was staying true to myself. I had no intentions of pretending to be someone I'm not, so we went with an alternative aesthetic I'd based on my D&D character. It was... Different. Hopefully different enough to stand out.

Paul led me out of the small meeting room we were in, taking me on a tour of my home for the foreseeable future, the WWE Performance Center.

He led me through the lobby pointing out various board rooms along the way, as well as some language classrooms they used for international talent. The corridors were lined with display cases with in-ring gear from previous NXT superstars.

"This is the green screen studio," Paul informed me, directing me into a small room with several cameras, monitors and a green screen, "you can practice character work here, work on your promo skills and the great thing is, you can watch it back immediately," he pointed to the monitors.

Above one of the monitors was a puppet of the late Dusty Rhodes. He had a lot of influence on most of the NXT talent so it makes perfect sense he'd be here watching over them. I smiled solemnly and stared at my feet.

"There's usually a trainer in here who can give you feedback but we sometimes get groups of superstars in here. It's a good learning experience"

He led me down a few more corridors, pointing out more WWE relics along the way.

"This is the medical room. It's used by  NXT, Raw and Smackdown superstars. Hopefully you won't need to spend any time here, but if you do, we have some of the best medical experts and equipment in the business."

It was all very impressive. Every inch of the Performance Center had been designed with convenience in mind. Say what you like about WWE but this place was undoubtedly the best place to train.

"This is the training room. You'll be spending a lot of time here."

I stared in awe at the large room housing 7 rings for practicing, as well as one TV ring, complete with stage lighting, entrance, ramp and broadcast ready cameras. At the back of the room, two rings were used to practice upcoming matches.

Some of the people training here must have been new starters as I only recognised a few people. Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai were practicing a few spots, Scott Garland (or Scott 2 Hotty to his fans) was having some newbies run the ropes, and Damien Priest was having a match with Johnny Gargano as several superstars and trainers watched.

As Paul led me out of the room, I struggled to pull my gaze away. It was all so fascinating to me.

"And for the final stop, the pride and joy of the Performance Center, our state of the art Strength and Conditioning Gym."

He opened the doors leading to the gym. I examined every inch of the room, not wanting to miss any details. They had equipment here I never even knew existed, as well as the usual offenders; treadmill, cross trainer, bikes etc...

And then I stopped scanning, my gaze now fixed upon one very specific piece of equipment.

"Most superstars exercise here once a day before heading to the training room, but you'll find a routine that works for you," Paul tried to inform me, but my attentions were focused elsewhere.

There, suspended from the gymnastic hoops, was the glistening, sculpted  body of the man of my dreams.

Authors Note: So you may have guessed but my writing style is kind of slow burning. I like a lot of description to really emerse myself in the environment. This chapter especially as it's the first one. Future chapters will focus more on Finn I promise! I'm still learning, so if I'm going over the top and you want me to tone it down, please let me know and I'll work on it. Thanks for reading!

i've got a lot of faves that sometimes it's hard to pin down but like the major ones are like Finn Balor, Taylor Rust, Io Shirai, Ariya Daivari. I know there are a ton of others from other promotions I'm trying to think of, too! Guys like The Foundation from ROH, Jake Something and Chris Bey and Hikuleo on Impact, literally all of the women in AEW, like there are so many i couldn't possibly list them all!
