thank you so much to everyone who's been supporting my bag store! you're all absolute stars, and have been helping me out so much as i try to drag myself across the minimum income threshold for self-employed in the UK. i'm almost there!

there's 4 drinks totes left, 3 fruit totes, 2 oranges totes and just 1 mushroom tote left at reallyhardy.store, plus as winter approaches and cold and flu season comes upon us i also have a few simple folded face masks on there too.

#as a life update i went to my jobcentre appt last week #and ugh what a drama. she was like 'well you had a good august' because i was working for the art gallery in the summer #but then she was like 'but we need to see consistency. you're halfway through the startup period but your average is still...'#'half of the minimum income' which. screaming and crying lol #because like well its freelancing. it's not GOING to be consistent really #but i think if i can do more markets and especially up to xmas #that should boost me a bit #plus i mean i just temporarily closed comms but #i'll re-open them again very soon just need to catch up

i really like working at the office btw. we have tons of free snacks, free fancy coffee (and SEVERAL dairy free milks), many places to sit (including this area that’s literally one giant “daybed” with a ton of cushions), adjustable height desks… it’s pretty lit not gonna lie

FEEL FREE TO IGNORE #i dont wanna go to work ‼️‼️‼️ i feel like i am nearing a breaking point i am sofucking burnt out #every time i go to work. my brain gets Scary at me. stresses me out. dont like it ☹️#im supposedto be going in tonigjt but im dreading it sososo much #my work hour options have changed from “fully flexible” to “7am-9pm only” whcih yeah i know that doesnt sound that bad. but i have non-24 #(circadian rhythm disorder that makes me sleep progressively later every day circling fully around the clock over ~3 weeks or so)#and bcos of it often i have to force myself out of bed in what my body thinks may as well be the middle of the night just to get to work #and then i dont ever get enough time to recover from that to actually let my sleep fall back into its natural schedule wjich is the only #time i feel properly rested. so essentially im chronically sleep deprived which is making me chronically stressed and way less productive #i just reslly really want to fucking save up a little money and just Not work for a week or two. bjt. with my sleep bullshit i cant really #work enough to be able to put anything aside. at all #so. kind of an unrealistic desire i guess. lol #ive been feeling like this ever since like early january when i was told i ahve to stick to a more normal schedule. & its only getting worse #idont know i just wishthere was something i could do that was fully flexible on timing but also doesnt havw the kind of workload that would-#-stress me out like basically anything with longer-term projects so ykmow Most flexible schedule jobs.#i do have one thing in mind i could do on my own but its dumb and probably wouldnt make much money and has startup costs i cant afford rn..

#sorry i am. stressed about decisions and made this in .5 seconds #its not even that big of a deal i just have large emotions rn #im just so stressed bc i got this internship i was meant to start in march right #kinda small startup company but the pay is decent and its mostly remote so i took it (i didnt have anything else)#the day after i signed my offer letter i got ANOTHER interview for an internship during the summer in june and i ended up getting it #i signed the letter for that one today thinking that alls well and i can do both...tell me why the summer one called me up being like #'u wanna start early?'.....WHAT!!!#and the thing is the second company is way larger and pays better and its inperson so it IS a better offer #but id feel like a dick for bailing on the other one right before my start date yk...especially since i rlly liked the ppl i met so far #i just dont know what to do bc i end up looking like a dick either way #i might end up doing the first one for like a month putting in my 2 weeks then doing the other one BUT IDK IF I CAN!!!

nothing more soulsucking on the PLANET than when you're finally vibing with a WIP but have to go to bed bc capitalism and then wake up and have to work bc capitalism and you're still untold hours away from getting to touch your WIP again because capitalism

#fucked up that ppl are out here getting these massive-for-a-startup-author 4-book contracts etc that end up working out to the yearly salary #of a 38-hr manager at a spencers gifts but for like. way over 38 hrs a week & no subsidized health insurance #it's not that i even ever want to get rich or famous i just wish i could work less #and not even necessarily work less just BE AT AN HOURLY JOB less like i work so much outside my hourly job anyway #i just want time. to do things that make people happy #and i gotta say my nasty gay prn practice makes way more people happy in a far more significant way than me running a cash register does

Love that my confectionery hobby has apparently reached the point where I can watch coworkers and even managers struggle with complimenting my skills without encouraging me to quit and leave to pursue it as a new career

#i got along with all of the other employees well and we're friends but it's going to be impossible to look a few of them in the face if i #dont get to tell them Once that they're a motherfucking bitch for giving me literally 0 forewarning of not having a fucking job next week #despite knowing.#when i could have had the past week of basically no work due to logjams to prepare a resume and start outreaching in a chill and non desper #-rate terrified about going broke way #the number of people i've had to reach out to and be like 'hi its been three years but i got laid off and need you to introduce me'#and not it being very clear that i have at least situational resentment for them. i can't just hide stuff like that. unlike them.#that's my major complaint. it's not being let go tbh. its a startup in the worst industry on earth. but they Knew. probably months ago.#and it really tells my little autistic mind that i just need to stop expecting anything good from nt people.#because they will lie to your face that everything is fine when they know you're about to lose your job :)
