cue everyone discovering that steve has a secret boyfriend (fucking eddie munson, of all people!?) because he and wayne turn up at the hospital frantic after they were contacted and basically told "ur steve harringtons emergency contact. he is actively dying and there's a small crowd gathered in his hospital room that we can't fucking get rid of. what's ur eta??"

hello i’m sorry, i’m so sorry (I’mnotsorry) but has anyone written about the scars Steve is definitely going to have in a thin ring around the base of his throat from the demobat’s tail?

Those aren’t just bruises, in the first image you can see raised, damaged skin. Abrasions at the least, from the demobat gripping and shifting and sliding as it tightened its grip. Filthy abrasions, too, being from the Upside Down. Animal injuries are dirty. I have scars from YEARS ago that were small scratches at the time, discolorations now. I was scratched by a goose once when I was 10, and that minor injury remained lashed over the back of my thumb for well over a decade. I have thin, pale discolorations of my forearms right now from over 8 years ago, made by a the slip of a bird’s foot. A small circle between my pointer and middle finger from when I was bitten in high school, 20 years ago by a rescue parrot while I was helping out. Animals, even our mundane ones, have bacteria of all sorts that can become minorly infected and cause healing to take longer, to cause scarring to form. I can’t even imagine how much worse an injury from something in the Upside Down is.

I’ve seen fics where they talk about the one on his side, but these are the delicate ones I want to see mentioned. These are the ones I want to see Eddie touch with reverence for the horror of it, with respect for the fear that had come with them. The ones I want to see Steve draw in a too-quick breath when they’re touched, because he remembers the rough tail wrapped around his throat, dragging him down to his death, strangling the air from him. The one that bit him hurt him, this one made him panic, if only briefly. This one made him vulnerable to the others. These are the ones everyone is going to see, day to day. The ones he has to live with constantly instead of only with himself. The ones he’s gonna touch, himself, absently.

and i’m just curious if anyone else has written about them, or if I’m gonna have to do it myself

I know TV injuries exist along a sliding scale of severity based on convenience and plot-dictated need and the more dramatic the better, so he was fine because reality works differently in TV land and I shouldn't take it seriously, but I honestly don't know how Jonathan walked out of the hospital scene without at least some degree of brain damage and some kind of spinal injury.

Wouldn't be surprised if the weed is at least partially to manage some degree of chronic pain (in addition to his myriad of other reasons to get high).

Are you ever going to do anything with that breeder!Steve Kemp x stockholm!bunny hybrid!reader blurb?

I’m not too sure yet. I would love to because breeder!Steve makes batshit insane and just the thought of him violently manhandling me makes me cream my pants, but I’m not 100% sure how I would execute it.

Maybe instead of breeder, it’s just Steve and Stockholm!hybrid!bunny!reader so I don’t have to deal with any other aspect other than Steve and reader. For kinks mostly the same, usual suspects, but also some medfet and latex (the doctor gloves) if I didn’t make it as apparent as I intended.

Here’s some of what I was thinking + some stuff from breeder!Steve

Steve finding you in close proximity to his house which is deep in the woods. Sitting against a shady oak tree, innocently picking daisies.

He just can’t help himself, you’re too perfect not to capture. The primal urge to breed and corrupt you until you’re nothing but his brainwashed little bunny already too strong not to follow through.

You don’t know when or how, but you wake up, eyelids heavy, brain foggy, in his freezing basement. Laidback and on display, fully exposed atop his examination table.

“Sh shh, don’t be scared, bunny. Just do what I say and I won’t have to hurt you any worst.”

The first three weeks are painful, excruciating, torturous. The constant tears, hiding, whimpering, and fighting back. But you can’t keep it up. You’re weak, tired, exhausted, and you just don’t have it in you. You come to terms with the fact you’re not and never will be stronger than him. You’ll never be smarter than him. You’re never leaving him. You’re his forever.

Little bell 24/7 attached to your collar. The extra possessiveness it gives Steve drives him insane. Not only letting him know if you are near but the beautiful mix of your cries and the jingle of the bell as he uses you as a worthless fleshlight.

You don’t have a single clue what he has done to you. But you’re addicted to the pain, to his ownership, to him.
