Yandere!Venti thinks it’s cute, seeing the way you interact with the little kids around town. Diona and Klee adore you, loving that you always bring them snacks and treat them with such kindness. It especially warms his heart because he knows how absent their real parents are so he doesn’t mind letting you out of the house more often for their sake. He also won’t deny the absolute baby fever it gives him, the sudden urge to have children of your own taking over his mind entirely. 

Venti couldn’t help the smile on his face as he watched you play around with the two girls. They had insisted you help them with their hair, them having messed it up after playing tag in the city. He couldn’t deny the sudden urge to have a child of your own, a sweet little thing that was the perfect mix of the two of you. Archons couldn’t have children with humans though, so for now he was content to watch you interact with the local Mondstat kids, dreaming of the day you could have your own.

Yandere!Zhongli would find you parenting Xiao and QiQi to be quite humorous. He had spent many years trying to parent the angsty boy himself and yet you made much faster progress in a month. QiQi could also be quite the challenge and yet you had the patience of an Archon themself with her. A true gift to him and both the kids.

Zhongli watched as you scolded Xiao for getting hurt again, leaving QiQi to find him and bring him back to BuBu Pharmacy. It was quite funny to see the boy get so flustered, hands fiddling with his polearm. Zhongli had gotten on the boy's case many times about this and he never seemed to take it to heart, but you had a different effect on the male. Even QiQi seemed to naturally trust your judgment despite her forgetful nature. It warmed Zhongli’s heart to see you getting along so well with the two, loving her naturally you seemed to fall into the parental role. 

Yandere!Raiden doesn’t see any use in children, after everything with Kunikuzushi she simply has no desire to be in the parental role. She also believes it to be unnecessary for you as the two of you will never have children together. Despite this she will still allow you to interact with the local children, namely Sayu.

Raiden sighed as she saw you playing with the young girl in the courtyard, a lighthearted game of tag being played amongst the two of you. Sayu often came here to hide out from Kano Nana, enjoying the sunlight naps that you two would take or the fun, simple games you’d play. Tag was her favorite but she was also fond of hide and seek as well as eye spy. While Raiden would never outright tell you that she disapproved, she’d never join you either, making it known her opinion from across the way. Her subtle glare and cold shoulder all the proof you need. 

Yandere!Furina doesn’t like kids, she thinks that she should be the only one to get your undivided attention and that she’s plenty fun and entertaining. Why do you want to hang out with kids when she's already baby?

An annoyed huff left Furina’s as you continued to interact with the Melusines. You two were supposed to be out on a date together, not hanging out with the Melusines. It was Neuvillette’s job to look after them, not yours! You should be paying attention to her, giving her your love and time and focusing on what she has to say. She’s certainly going to throw a fit if it continues, and even more so if you just try to brush it off. You are Furina’s partner and you should be giving her all your love.

Is it wrong to date a guy from an enemy faction when your country doesn’t exist anymore? Asking for a friend

Given what we now know about how the crimson moon dynasty came before the eclipse dynasty and was more focused on alchemy, i would like to submit a theory that albedo is from the crimson moon faction

His master rhinedottr is famous for her alchemy after all, and he followed in her footsteps.

Not that these factions mean much to albedo, k’hanriah is long gone, and there is so much more in the world to discover

But Kaeya! Kaeya was sent as a spy by the k’hanrians who haven’t given up yet, they still have hope and cling to old traditions.

They served the dynasty of eclipse, of course the differences between crimson moon and exclipse matter to them

Especially if i go out on a limb and theorize the crimson moon had something to do with the fall of k’hanriah. Like a revolt or political infighting. Side eyes “the exclipse was swallowed by the crimson moon”

So it makes sense why neither kaeya nor albedo were aware that they’d meet another k’hanrian in mondstat, much less another captain in the knights

Kaeya spends a day in agony, fully expecting albedo to jump him and make kaeya follow some new “mission” or something

That is until albedo mentions alchemy, specifically kemia. The pride of the crimson moon’s alchemists.

Combined with albedo’s seeming lack of knowledge as to who kaeya is, this can only mean one thing.

Albedo isn’t a spy from eclipse here to get Kaeya back on track. He’s a spy from crimson moon here to do the same thing as kaeya!

Naturally kaeya can’t let an enemy spy get to close to mondstat! Especially since they might not be friendly like him!

Plus he’s grown up on stories that blame the crimson moon for k’hanriah’s fall. (Also the gods and abyss, but come on, we all know the rival political faction was the real enemy here) he does not want that to happen to mondstat

So kaeya decides to get close to albedo, feel him out and see what his intentions are, and dispose of him if he needs to.

Unfortunately for him, a wrench is thrown in his plans in the form of Klee. Sweet, loveable klee who adores her big brother albedo so much, and would definitely cry if he were to suddenly vanish, and he just couldn’t do that ot her (also there is an all powerful witch who will definitely destroy mondstat if they make her precious daughter cry)

Now kaeya must find other ways to handle mond’s latest ticking time bomb and figure out his secrets, all while trying to ignore how those eyes make his heart skip a beat (from fear, he lies to himself)

Meanwhile, albedo clocks kaeya as a k’hanrian from the eclipse faction the moment he saw him. Given how it was all over kaeya’s clothes, he thought this was intentional.

And sure, kaeya never talks about his homeland, or his people before mondstat, but given everything that went down its probably a sore spot. No one else brings it up ir comments on his heritage so albedo just assumes everyone knows and no one talks about it out of respect for kaeya, and some other illusive social cue.

So when kaeya starts getting close to albedo, with his signature flirty moves, albedo does not think this has anything to do with crimson moon vs eclipse. He thinks this is just kaeya trying to get to know the new captain

Maybe he’s curious about alchemy?

So he shows off a few cool potions to a wide eyes kaeya

Kaeya internally: is this a threat?

Albedo internally: i am winning at social interaction 😁

Albedo figured kaeya would get bored of him soon enough, when he realized that albedo’s job of alchemy is a lot more math and a lot less cool explosions.

But when kaeya sticks around, asking questions about albedo’s past, befriending klee, expressing curiousity in what exactly his potions can be used for, albedo starts to get suspicious

It’s not the alchemy itself. Albedo offered to teach kaeya some small potions and kaeya all but leapt away in his haste to refuse (those childhood stories of “touch alchemy and u die” realy stuck with him)

So he goes to sucrose and timeaus and asks them.

Sucrose is equally baffled, wonders if maybe kaeya just really likes chopping up ingredients

Albedo: hmm. He does do it everytime i ask…

Timeus: oh my archons, kaeya has a crush on you.

Albedo decides to test both theories. He stops letting kaeya cut his ingredients, but that doesn’t deter him. So he checks to see if Kaeya is attracted to him

By silently crowding close to kaeya to hear if his heart speeds up

Kaeya meanwhile, has a stone faced alchemist pushing him into a wall, is absolutely thinking he’s about to be murdered (and that it’s hot)

Albedo notices the speed up. Ahh so he does like me.

Kaeya: i have to go now! Proceeds to rush out the door.

Albedo is confused. If kaeya likes him, why is he running?

He asks timeus and sucrose. Sucrose offers to stalk him for a while to find out why. Timeus replies that albedo was “too forward” and that people like “to be chased”

Albedo, chasing kaeya: is this what u want?

Kaeya: oh god he’s gonna kill me!

The method that albedo picks to woo Kaeya is to offer him a fancy lunch he cooked, complete with a traditional khanrian delicacy: the spider sandwich.

Kaeya does not enjoy this, his mind running wild trying to figure out what albedo is trying to say to him by feeding him spiders.

Albedo decides he can’t trust Rhinedottr’s ideas of “traditional delicacies” (who knew her spider sandwich wasn’t normal?)

So he turns to sucrose, who has been stalking kaeya. She proposes a date that she has gathered from her research: take him drinking.

Now if albedo had started with this, it probably would have gonne much easier for him. But after a week of being stalked, chased, and fed spiders, kaeya’s guard is way up.

He’s convinced this is an attempt to get him drunk to get information out of him. Well good luck with that, kaeya’s no light weight, he’s certain he can drink albedo under the table, and get him talking instead

Albedo is a but hesitant when kaeya suggests a drinking competition, but goes along with it.

The result is a very drunk albedo cuddling up to kaeya and whispering the periodic table seductively in his ear.

Kaeya was not prepared for that. Not at all. He comes back home thinking that the crimson moon really trains their spies to be good at keeping secrets

Albedo comes back to his home confident at a successful first date

Things continue onward in their will they won’t they, until one day kaeya wakes up in bed with albedo, in matching pjs, klee sleeping between them, and realizes that seduction was the crimson moons game all along, and he lost.

But oh well, its not like he’s really following eclipse’s orders anyways. He thinks as he goes back to sleep

You're quite busy in Teyvat, but luckily you have many candidates for babysitting.

. The Traveler looks at them with a heavy heart, it may be cheesy but it reminds her/him of her/his twin when they were both younger. She/He really hopes, those kids wouldn't get separated, it's a horrible feeling to experience, but she/he is sure with someone like you, they will always be happy and safe. She/he shares a lot of stories about others worlds she/he visited to them, and if they want they can come with her/him and Paimon on adventures, of course, the less dangerous ones. Even if Paimon disagrees with it because they're trying to cook her and she is scared be alone now.

Characters who are so sweet around children, Thoma, Itto and Childe would love to play with them, especially since they are part of your family, if you're busy you can count on those boys to look after them and have a great time. If they're brats, lucky for them because Childe is way worse, and tease the absolute heck out of them because they're small and not as strong as him while still acting sweet, totally spoil them, and will take them to Mr. Cyclope. While Itto might pout at them because they can't stop trying to touch his horns and mock him when he looses, but he is so fun to play with, that the kids want to be around him all the time. And for Thoma, he doesn't mind cleaning the mess they make but he turns desperate of the kids bulling him constantly, but don't worry, he will find a solution to make them like him, he might need the help of Taroumaru though.

. Zhongli will be honored to take care of them, but the kids will get bored with his neverending stories, even if it's about a topic they like, however, he is the greatest for putting them to sleep. He'll hide his disappointment about the twins not being interested in their relative's impact on how he shaped Liyue and its economy, truly a pity. However, they can listen to Venti all day, he has the funniest stories and let them play with his lyre, he really is the best babysitter as he takes fun playing with the children. He also always has a bottle with him which they were curious about it, and he told them it's "the delicate liquid fluttering the butterflies in my chest, making me obsessed with its sweet taste." before passing out, they wanted to drink it but you stopped them before they did and scolded Venti later.

. Also, don't let them with Klee if you want to keep Teyvat safe, Jean can't survive the 3 alone, even Kaeya wouldn't try to let them go. They like playing with Qiqi but last time they played hide and seek together, the twins stayed half of the night alone while everyone was panicking and searching for them.

Ragbro angst AU

So i've been reading quite a bit of mind control AUs. Im sure you are atleast familar with the concept of one character being mind controlled and another character breaking them out of it with the power of their friendship/love/whatever.

So what about we apply this trope to ragbros but with a twist :

Now hear me out : Kaeya gets cursed by an Abyss Mage sending him into a feral state where his only goal is to kill and destroy as much as possibel. Even though they manage to contain him and bring him to Mondstadt to attempt to treat him.

Lisa finally finds out that if a person that Kaeya trusts and who means a lot to him might be abel to remind him of who he acctualy is and lift the curse. Jean decides to get Diluc since he grew up with Kaeya and she knows that Kaeya still considers him as brother. Diluc accepts. Secretly taking a little pride in the fact that they would call him to help Kaeya.

And when he sees Kaeya with torn clothes and just pure hate in his eyes Diluc feels so bad for Kaeya. He is sure that he would be abel to help Kaeya , after that he could just go on with his life and everything would be normal again.

Diluc tries , and Diluc fails. Horribly so. not only did he not break Kaeya free from the curse, he riled Kaeya up to a point where he managed to destroy the seals and bars holding him in he cell he was kept in.

Kaeya would have killed Diluc with a burst of ice if Jean, who had been watching the whole interaction, hadn't pulled him away so quickly. Soon after Lisa and other knights came into the room having heard the noise.

It was a hard fight against Kaeya, even after other knights joined. At some point Kaeya broke a wall with his ice causing them to continue their fight outside.

They didn't want to hurt Kaeya, but he left them little choice since no one seemed to get throught to him. That is until Klee gets injured.

Imagine little Klee standing in a battlefield with blood dripping from her small arms. Little klee crying from the pain and from simply not understanding why big brother Kaeya would do this. Imagine Kaeya seeing this little girl and something deep inside him wishpering that he should go comfort her. Something inside Kaeya wishpering that this is wrong. That those are his friends, not enemys.

Diluc realises that Kaeya stopped attacking after he saw Klee, screams at everyone to lower their weapons and just watch. And imagine Diluc watching as Kaeya has this moment with Klee before the curse takes control again and this time it everyone of his friends that come to him. And Kaeya is just burried in Jean and Lisa and Amber and everyone who ever meant something to him and they all tell him that he is their friend. And that they will no longer fight him. They tell him his name is Kaeya Albrich and he is the cavalery captain of the knights of favonious and a good person.

And they manage to break the curse.

All while Diluc watches from the side. And that is when Diluc realises that he now truly has lost all of his family. Because even if Kaeya says that he thinks of him as a brother , this right here just showed how far apart they grew.

Diluc finally confronts his feelings and finally realises that ne never hated Kaeya at all. He finally realises that he wants his little brother back. But it's already too late. Kaeya moved on, he found a new family and new friends. They would never be a family again, all because Diluc let his pride get in the way.

It's kind of a bitter sweet ending for Diluc because on one had, Kaeya atleast isn't trying to kill him and everyone else anymore but on the other hand Diluc has to deal losing his brother now, too.

my paimon age headcanon* is that she is like dave from kipo. she's technically a super old immortal** but also she Is a kid***. i was originally framing it as a phoenix sort of situation but dave from kipo has the same vibes plus like. being a person and not an animal and also being the same person (which, if i likened paimon to a vidyahara a la hsr, would not really be the case) *i flip flop between a few headcanons, namely the seelie one and this sort of phoenixy one. i really like paimon i have so many thoughts about her shes so interesting and sweet and ridiculous **i think the reason her memories are so inconsistent could be erosion at play. sometimes she can remember things and sometimes she is actually a really helpful guide but mostly she doesn't know what is going on and what she can remember seems so random. i also think theres some paimon lore in the wrio story quest so im actually gonna play that one just. not until the finals are done beating me up. so maybe this is all disproven there and i can stop flipflopping ***her interactions with other child characters (klee, diona, qiqi are the big three for this point) are definitely mentorly but in a fellow child sort of manner. she treats them like younger siblings typically. adult characters (albedo is the one i remember the best) often think of her as a child and she hasn't really objected to that, that i've noticed? she gets cranky about being called a pet, or food, or a toy (but still plays along sometimes because being in disguise etc etc, but she is noticeably unenthused about those labels) but i haven't really noticed her get upset about being called a kid. however, she is noticeably more helpful and more advanced than the littler child models. she seems to be similar to nahida (and they get along really well)(i really liked the paimon nahida interactions it always feels like paimon is trying to fit in with adults or babysitting kids but with nahida it felt like they matched better. despite nahida being well,,, a lot smarter). i think nahida is also a technically immortal but also kid sort of situation, but not in the same way as paimon is. nahida reminded me a lot of the aranara, with her reincarnation looking the same yet being someone else, with all the stuff about dreams, etc.. also the aranara are childlike and only knowable to children (and certain people with special circumstances) so . yeah. i think nahida is permanently in that kid but not state and paimon is currently in that kid but not state but i do kind of think paimon hasn't always been a kid, maybe possibly. i do definitely think shes existed for way longer than twenty years. but also shes kiddo.

anyway i love paimon. shes my son. id feel kinda bad for paimon haters cus she is in Every Single Thing except that like if u hate paimon why are u playing the paimon game? just to gamble???

Some thoughts about the characters

We have like... 60 characters now in Genshin? More or less. It’s so incredible to me, thinking about when we started and only had 2 regions. Now we’re going to go to the 5th one in just a few months.

My favorite characters are still Kaeya and Diluc, that won’t ever change, I was invested in their story (especially Kaeya) and I still am. Scenes with them are the most exciting thing in the game.

But with time, other characters have taken a lot of spotlight too. Scara/Wanderer has become my third favorite character. He’s been lucky to have a lot of importance, a good character arc and an awesome design (seriously, I love it). And he’s so fun to play too! I don’t usually mind gameplay stuff but if they’re useful in battle, that’s another point for them.

At first I thought Alhaitham was alright, I really liked his design, but personality-wise he was just ok. But when Kaveh came into picture that changed. I usually get attached to characters more if they have an interesting or entertaining relationship with another character (I love duos so much). So now that he had a character close to him, with very funny interactions, that gave him a lot of points, as well as Kaveh. They’re both really fun, I like them.

Others that I also like a lot, even though they’re not my favorites, include all the Archons as well as Xiao, Tartaglia, Cyno, Rosaria and Dain.

Even though I mainly focus on the guys, it’s not like I dislike the girls. But there are so many of them, like 2/3 are girls, which makes the male characters more notable. Aside from Rosaria, Ei and Nahida, I also like Klee, Jean, Collei and others.

Another notable thing is that with some exceptions, I feel more connected to the Mond cast. It’s not just because they were the first ones in the game, it’s just that I like how they feel like a very big family. I love when characters are so close that they’re like family, it’s so sweet.

I may not have all the characters, but I have those that I want to have. Lately I’ve been lucky to get them and not suffer in the gacha. I’ve been more careful to save for the future.

I look forward to Fontaine characters, but I feel like as we go on, I’m less interested in new characters because there are so many and some of the new ones don’t even get focus until later (like Faruzan). 

I forgot to mention Lumine. I wasn’t very interested in the Traveler at first, but I have to say that since Sumeru started, the Traveler has been more proactive and has had more thoughts and personality. She’s not among my favorites, but I’ve taken a liking to her.

Would Diluc ever take Klee with him to his college classes

I think so. Cause He'd worry about Klee feeling abandoned. So he takes her to her classes and makes sure it's ok with his professors. And he makes sure that she's got a lot of stuff to keep her entertained and makes sure she doesn't interrupt the other students.

Often she likes just sitting on Diluc's lap while he takes notes and she colors.

He doesn't interact with the other students a lot but he's got a lot of positive attention as a lot of people think he's Klee's bio father. And People think it's super sweet how he's able to take care of her while still getting some of the best marks.

It was all Diluc’s idea for you two to go out to the park on a little date after he finished his work in the morning. He was truly in ecstasy as you stood before him in a new outfit he bought you. The way the high-quality fabric complimented your body in such an elegant manner made him go crazy for you as you ran through the field of cecilias.

“The park was a great idea, Diluc! You think I could count all of the cecilias here if I really tried?”

Diluc loved your sense of wonder and curiosity as he ran up to sweep you off your feet. “Woah there ‘luc! I didn’t know you wanted me that much!” A rosy blush was forming on your face. “Of course I do, you looked so stunning I just couldn’t resist.” He ended his sentence with a chuckle as he carried you around the park, insisting he not set you down for any reason whatsoever. However, a stand with a little red girl behind it caught your eye.

“Love look, it’s Klee! Let’s go see what she has to sell!”

As Diluc carried his darling over to the tiny arsonist’s booth, Klee caught sight of them and waved. “Weird-grown-up! Y/n! Over here!” You tried to jump out of Diluc’s arms to get there faster, but he held you securely in place so as to not let you go. Even if it was someone like Klee, he still wanted to hold onto the feeling of you in his arms. 

As you reached the stand, you saw that Klee had decorated it in bright colors and little drawings of ice-cream. “Welcome! I’m so glad you two made it! But, Weird-grown-up, why are you holding Y/n like that? Are they hurt?” “No, not at all. I just felt like carrying them.” Klee turned her head in confusion. She didn’t quite understand what he meant but decided to let it go and come back to it later. “So, would you guys like some ice cream?” 

“I would love a scoop of (favorite flavor) please!” You were way too excited about the thought of ice cream to contain your joy. “Diluc, will you get anything?” 

“Do you mind if we share a scoop?”

You blushed at the thought of sharing your dessert with your lover. Just the two of you, in a large field of cecilias, scooping bites of ice cream into each other's mouths. “Y/n? Are you alright? Your face is awfully red..” Klee was getting more confused about the duo's interactions before it finally clicked in her head.

“Ohhhh! I get it! You two love each other, right? Like mom and dad?” Now you were both blushing. “Uh, yes, we do love each other very much.” Diluc was getting quite embarrassed at how red he probably looked right now. “Anyways, here’s the mora for the ice cream. Thank you for your business, Klee.” Klee handed the couple their shared ice cream scoop before waving goodbye.

“Maybe the weird-grown-up won’t be so weird anymore.”

After Diluc finally set you down you both walked back to the cecilia field and sat down. The Mondstadt breeze accompanied them as it blew Diluc’s bright red hair around in the wind. You scooped up a bite of ice cream in the spoon and tilted it towards Diluc. As he was about to grab the spoon, you gently pushed it in his mouth, catching him by surprise. Once he swallowed the sweet treat, he took the spoon from your hand and pressed a kiss on your cheek.

“Open your mouth.”

Diluc carefully fed you the ice cream before letting out a small sigh.

He loved you more than you could ever hope to imagine.

She is basically Albedos sister at this point and spends time with him

Plus if creator darling replaces rhinedottir she must be friends with alice so she knows klee

maybe unknowing klee would be happy that aunty (y/n) is finally staying longer

Ahh yes Klee knows her as mom's friend! She has heard so much about her... one way or another, she ends up finding out about her, likely stumbles accidentally into the little cabin built up by the dragonspine camp while visiting... it's an awkward encounter. Albedo panics a bit, but... she's still a kid yeah? He just thinks through it a bit... he tells her that it's very, very important, that she keeps this a secret, just between them, right? No telling Jean or any of the knights, no telling her mom... it can just be their secret. Oh, and, uh, no, it's not the same as Alice's friend, when Klee asks, he shakes his head and just says they merely share the same name, but they're two completely different people.

But again, he says, she needs to make sure not to tell anyone... his friend is really shy, you see, that's why she lives up here, and if a bunch of knights come see her, she'll be sad, and besides, she can't play with Klee if she's sad... Klee wouldn't want that right? She agrees, of course, but now he does unfortunately have to deal with a nagging, constant paranoia in the back of his mind, he now gets super nervous every time he has to speak to any of the knights. It gets better with time, though, the more confident he is that Klee will never tell anyone.

On your end, the look in his eyes is clear enough -- one expression is enough to tell you there will be severe consequences if you so much as say a word. He does outright tell you, with a soft smile, you two should have fun, play together... only pausing to whisper in your ear to be nice. He never lets the two of you be alone, of course, even if he walks away for a moment to work on something while you talk, he stays within earshot. Once, though, when his back was turned, you took the opportunity to slip a note with a cry for help into Klee's backpack... only the nervousness on your face showed too much and he knew something was up, and decided to dig through the bag, claiming he might have dropped something in it... and finds your little note. You spend the rest of the time utterly dreading the moment he gets back from taking her home, and with good reason, you're not going to be let off lightly on that one.

He really does enjoy the visits, though. In the end you can't help but find some sense of happiness in it, it's the only interaction with another person you have, and she's endearing. He likes it, too, really. Watching her play with a child gives him a lot of sweet material to fantasize about when she inevitably has his baby too.

It only backfires when darling teaches Klee how to make some rather powerful chemical explosives... her own form of revenge.

She might turn to see you gazing at her, the smile on your face so telling of the affections in your heart -- she’ll be standing at the side of her massive ship and feel the sweet embrace of your arms around her, the comfort of your chest against her back and no matter how chilly the water seems, you’ll always make her warm

She doesn’t mind the close contact, oftentimes she welcomes it, the only thing she worries about is your safety when things start to get unsteady on the choppy seas - but you’ve proven to her how capable you can be in all your skills 

The sea was calm, the steady dip and sway of the Crux a constant reminder of the mysteries below. How deep did the water go - what lay just out of her sight and would she ever see the secrets of the depths. Her hands pressed against the deck railing, shoulders locking into place as she leaned against the boat. It was a test to see if your legs could handle the bobbing of the unsteady and, at times, unpredictable ocean temperament but after years of journeying these vast waters, she had no issues. 

She closed her eyes and took in the smell of salt mixed with pitch and tar. She’d grown accustomed to the combination but recalled the days where the scent made her retch. Breathing in again, she took in a new scent. Roses and lavender, with a hint of mischief. 

“Shouldn’t you be asleep?” Beidou asked, her eyes opening to see you standing in between her arms. 

“I couldn’t -- I missed you.” Your smile was as bright as the moon, your fingers as soft as flower petals, voice as delicious as a good bottle of wine. As your fingers ran over her lips she allowed herself to divulge into the taste. “Shouldn’t you also be asleep, captain?” Your tone was playful, experiencing the residual effects of the giggle she coaxed out of your moments before. 

“I wanted to check on things, my duties never rest even if I must.” Beidou stepped forward, her hands remaining on the railing even though her body drifted closer to you. The distance didn’t seem to bother you as your arms quickly wrapped around her waist to hold her even closer. 

“Then I will check on things with you.” 

“Will you now?” She asked, laughing. 

“Mhm, you can count on me.” 

She adored you and it was easy to see that you returned her feelings -- you always found ways to shower her in your attention, in your affection, and she found herself expecting great things every day 

Tonight though, under the light of the moon she took you in her arms and swayed with the help of the ship and the constant, drifting waves 

Jean

There are times when she wishes that she can be more available to you, but with all the duties on her plate, she finds it hard to spend more than a few moments here and there. She hopes you understand that her distance isn’t directed at you -- she promises to take every moment that she can to spend it with you 

It’s the quick embraces in her office that fill her battery, it’s the soft touches and reassuring gestures that remind her you are happy being with someone so busy, it’s the tender kisses on the cheek when no other eyes can see where she finds herself the most thankful

She never imagined that she’d have someone so incredible as you in her life -- sometimes she wonders if divulging in your generosity, your kindness, your love isn’t selfish … but how could she let anyone else see what you give her every day 

Pacing her office was a habit of hers. It helped keep the blood in her legs flowing as she worked longer hours than those around her would like. It wasn’t often that she was able to leave, who knows what might happen if she did. Who might need her advice, support, or solution, so this was the best thing she could get to be physical at times. 

Every once in a while she had conversations with Lisa, maybe even finding the chance to stalk Kaeya if only to collect the work he was supposed to return -- though he frequently evaded her. More often than not, she dealt with Klee and her own restless habit. At least Jean’s pacing wouldn’t blow a hole in one of the walls of Mondstadt. 

Her mind drifted, her finger pressing against her lips as she worked through the problems outlined in front of her. It was up to her to figure them all out, how exhausting. Jean jumped when she felt something slide around her stomach, her head twisting to see who was entering her space but, when she saw you, her demeanor relaxed substantially. 

“You looked stressed.” Your head rested against her, chin finding ground against her shoulder as you looked at her with a tender expression. 

“There is a lot to do, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.” She placed her hands onto yours, her thumbs rubbing over your skin. 

“Maybe you don’t need to handle them at all?” Jean’s brows furrowed, her eyes shifting as she tried to understand your comment. “I mean, you could give them to someone else you know, delegate.” 

“A-ah … then that would just pass the workload onto another, I couldn’t do that.” 

“You are quite an impressive woman, Jean, but you can’t do it all alone.” 

“It’s my duty …” 

“I know, I know.” You pressed a kiss to her neck, the tightness of your embrace increasing as you showed her you understood her position. “How about taking a break then? You need to rest.” You didn’t wait for her to argue. Slowly you brought her to the couch in the corner of her office, making sure she settled into the seat next to you. 

“You can keep working if you want, but I’m not letting you get up from here, not for a while anyway.” Jean sighed and resigned herself to your win. 

It was easier to give in than try and fight against you anyway, this is why you always won. She had a soft spot for you -- your consideration of her, your patience, your strong will to get her to take some time. You helped her more than she could ever say, and far more than she could ever repay 

There was a stir, a shift that pulled Jean from her sleep and when she analyzed her surroundings, she found you resting peacefully on her shoulder. Your hand wrapped around her arm, a blanket draped over the both of you. You looked so peaceful, content -- she smiled and couldn’t deny this was the first time in weeks she felt fully rested 

Ningguang

She’s a woman who knows what she wants - the determination, strictness, focus that she has for everything that she does is so incredible there are few that think she must be more than human 

Reservation, Composure, Proper - all of these describe how she interacts with others, and when it comes to you she is no different 

In the light of the public eye, she treats you with respect -- behind closed doors, she behaves much more attached for she prefers to have you by her side if at all possible - to bathe in your company is like basking in the gaze of Morax himself 

Ningguang surrounded herself with documents. Her desk was nearly littered with them, leaving only enough room for a few spare items here and there. It seemed that there was more work to be done after the fall of the Jade Palace and, while she wished to start working on plans for the future, it seemed all her attention was shackled to the present. 

Knocking out her pipe into the ashtray, she let it rest so she could stand and organize the current state of work orders piling up behind her. Attendants came and went, their proper work ethic motivating her to continue - how could she expect those around her to keep working hard if she let herself slack. There would be plenty of time to rest once these were through … when that would be though was a question she didn’t have the answers to. 

There was a knock at the door, her attention drawn to the soft rapping of knuckles on the rich wooden frame and, when she saw you standing there patiently, she grew more at ease. 

“Come in.” She beckons, resting the documents on the table before making her way toward you. 

“Are you busy?” You asked, looking over her shoulder at the pile of documents on her desk. While it may appear to others that her duties were smothering, it was common practice for Ningguang to keep records of nearly anything she did. 

“There are still many tasks ahead, which we will get to when the time comes. To what do I owe the pleasure?” She felt your fingers wrap around hers and with a soft smile, she let you take them. 

“Would you object to me just … hang around for a while?” Your expression was nervous, it was as if you were never fully confident in your standing with her. 

“I wouldn’t object, besides, having something nice to look at while one works is good for the heart.” She pushed your chin up as if to remind you to always be yourself around her and when your lips stretched into a smile she knew, once again, that she was right in choosing you. 

How could another be allowed to look at your face? How could she handle the thought of you being taken by another -- she often looked at you with eyes you’d swore knew all the answers but love often makes one unsure -- and she was still surprised that you choose a woman like her 

A woman who came from nothing, who fought and crawled her way to the place she was today - yet, she couldn’t help but feel that when you looked at her, when your hand rested in hers, when your fingers ran across her skin, that you saw her for the woman she was - nothing more, nothing less - she could be completely herself in your presence 

As she continued to work and you offered your input where you could, the two of you never let go of the other hand

how've you been recently? i know we didn't get a chance to hang out much before i left mondstat, but our drinking contest at angel's share will no doubt be one for the history books (and send my regards to that cavalry captain, he sure knows how to drink!)

though mondstat is a beautiful land, all pales in comparison to snezhnaya's wintery hills and nipping frost. we had discussed it briefly but if you're willing i would absolutely love to bring you back here with me! my family has been dying to meet you, i often send them letters about our time together. my brother, teucer, in particular is most excited for your potential visit!

i know it hasn't been very long since i left, but i actually came to a very interesting conclusion on the boat back home. the gift you had left me with: a pyro crystalfly in a jar, was the most comforting item i had for all of the boat ride back to snezhnaya. and it might have been then that i realized just how much i missed you, and our adventures together.

i've know very little people who are able to keep up with my prowess, and you might be at the very top of the list! you're always around to keep me on my toes, seems i can never catch a break without you sticking a sword in my face (not that i mind of course! i'm always down for a duel with you!) but to not acknowledge how sweet and kind you are, coupled with how well you got along with that little girl in red, klee was her name? not only that, but you're ever so helpful and courteous, i don't think i've met anyone quite like you! if there was anyone i'd want to conquer the world with, you'd be my first choice.

you really do strike a chord with the people you interact with, me especially, and i wish i realized this before i left mondstat's soils but i am hopelessly and desperately in love with you.

This is just my opinion and how i think he would be on a relationship, its totally ok if you think different or have different headcanons for him.

pls she/her or she/they aligned people do not interact (feel free to read, but don't interact with this post, thank you in advance).

I personally think he doesn't care much about gender; if he likes you why would anyone else care if you're the same gender or not, they should mind their own business. He doesn't mind if you're trans either, that was your decision and he respects it. If someone makes a comment on you or your body... well, let's just say he'll take good care of them.

We all know he's not such a fan of relationships, so i think that for him to be on one, it would take a lot of time and knowing each other, and ofc you getting along with Klee, if she doesn't like you... well, i think you already know that's an absolute no.

If she does like you though (which is not so hard) after he sees you taking care of her when she gets hurt, damn, his heart belongs to you. And if you go to Master Jean's office to convince her to not go so hard on Klee he may have a soft spot for you.

'C'mon Jean, she's just a kid. Maybe she blew up some things with her bombs, but no one got hurt and it was outside Mondstadt. Can't you go a little easier on her? '

Now, once you guys are finally dating: I don't think albedo would change that much; he would do little things that at first you didn't notice, but are actually very sweet, like giving you little colorful things he found while walking in Dragonspine or taking you to watch the sunset at Starsnatch Cliff.

I feel like he has very cold hands from being on Dragonspine for several hours sketching some random hilichurl he passed by, but he would try to warm them up in his pockets so when you hold his hands you feel safe and comfortable.

' I will protect you with these same hands and my own life, I won't let anything bad happen to you. I swear... '

Final conclusion: He is very sweet once he finds the one person that makes him feel complete and warm, the one person that makes him feel at home. That person, is you.

Genshin impact au where the Traveler is blind

They drop into Mondstadt like “hi????? What’s goin on????” and all the responsible adults in the room (jean, lisa, diluc, kaeya*) collectively think “this kid needs some friends-“ so they introduce the Traveler to some people their age (benny, mona, sucrose, amber, etc) and it goes well. The traveler is shockingly competent, more than anyone expected, and they handle themself even better once they get anemo and geo power.

They navigate a little differently based on which they have active. With anemo, they feel for obstacles through breezes. Think tapping around in the dark for a light switch, but your hand is wind. With geo, they’re just straight up Toph. its neat :3

And because I’m feeling self-indulgent, this is my take on how some characters (*cough* my favorites *cough*) interact with the traveler!! Lumine bc that’s who i picked :P

Razor

He treats her like a very respectable puppy. Before she gets good at using anemo, he guides her around the woods while they hunt. Boreas likes the fact that Razor’s getting more human friends, so he gives her additional protection in Wolvendom. It’s sweet.

Bennett

Benny’s very cautious. He’s terrified that his bad luck will get Lumine hurt because he thinks she won’t see something coming. Once she gets geo and anemo figured out, he worries less. They hang out all the time, too! Bennett was the first friend Lumi made in Teyvat, so they go exploring and treasure hunting a lot. Chaotic children :3

Sucrose

Sucrose is fascinated by how the Traveler interacts with the elements, and Lumine is happy to help. At some point, Lumi expressed frustration at having a hard time cooking some difficult dishes, so Sucrose made it her life’s work for three weeks to make cooking a much friendlier experience. It was super sweet and the two like hanging out and talking about elemental magic in the world.

Xiao

He treats Lumine like the much-respected peer she is. He witnessed firsthand the absolute badassery she’s capable of and knows she can take care of herself, so he doesn’t even worry about her safety (though he still offers his protection). I headcannon that Xiao loves studying weather patterns and the sky from the Wangshu roof. He’s kinda saddened by the fact that Lumine can’t experience it like he does, so he takes some free time to make a star chart she can feel when they spend time together.

Zhongli

I hc that Morax over here has big dad energy anyways. He’s incredibly interested in her application of Geo and often asks her to describe or demonstrate certain actions he’s never seen before. Zhongli is also lowkey protective. Like- if he catches wind that someone was harassing his kid, he’s not afraid to take action. Yeah, he’s lawful neutral, but he’s still a dad :P

Klee

She’s sad that Lumine can’t directly see what her explosions look like, or what she draws normally. Jean suggested Klee try some other methods of connecting to the Traveler. Klee took this to mean making scratch-and-sniff bombs. She’s working on making them smell different, sound different, or feel different when they go off so that Miss Lumine doesn’t feel left out. It makes the Traveler’s heart melt a bit.

Noelle

Noelle feels like she has to be very responsible around Lumine. She worries that Mondstadt isn’t well-equipped enough for Lumine and that she’ll get hurt when doing commissions or fighting dragons and whatnot. Lumine assured her she’s okay, and it takes some time to make that sink in, but eventually, Noelle calms down. She and Lumine spend a lot of time together, mostly because they have mutual crushes and are bad at communicating that Noelle looks up to Lumine for all she’s accomplished without one of the five senses.

bennett (love at first sight. i saw this boy before my sister downloaded the game and i instantly pulled out adoption papers. he can support, he can attacc, but, most importantly, he got your bacc. i would be willing to throw hands over him. he's precious. i screamed when i saw that he was among people taking venti's poem class! bennefischl canon??)

diluc (i love batman and i love batfam and i want that dynamic in my party. he's edgy, he's needlessly extra and cool. i can feel in every cell of my body that he's a sweet and caring guy, but in this very awkward, roundabout way. my friends all know i that show love for my faves by constantly bullying them and diluc is a prime example of that. i also really want him and kaeya to talk things out at some point)

venti (a broke, homeless, gremlin drunkard of a god with a knack for mischief and a love for storytelling? yes please!! i can't help but smile whenever he pops up in the story!! i wish the fandom stopped kinda infantilizing him since he's literally the second oldest character in the game and there's so much more to him than just his venti persona. i could probably write a character dissection or something if i got bored enough)

chongyun (i just think he's neat. look at his blue eyelashes! listen to his voice lines! i just want to squeeze his cheeks and ruffle his hair! he's a party staple purely for the aesthetics and emotional support. my sister calls him "the minecraft child" since he's the only claymore user in her team)

noelle (my beautiful daughter!! criminally underrated!! she's my favourite healer!! i would also throw hands over her. it just sucks that she doesn't have more presence in the story. every time i make her do the spinny thing with her claymore, i can't help but sing beyblade intros)

top 5 ships because my friend hates me:

diluven (i saw fanart of them once and i was sold immidiately! you know what's better than two of my favourite characters? two of my favourite characters but *together*! and their interactions in prologue were super cute and it has a lot of potential! they have a height difference, reincarnation!au angst potential, and i happen to be weak to the dynamic of a tiny gremlin who pesters a tall stoic dude who's secretly fond. they've both suffered loss and both deserve someone to confide in and someone who would care for them, agh i can go about this all day! sucks that so many fans seem to stick to nsfw tho)

dainslumi (preferably when aether is the traveler and lumi is the abyss princess because i love drama. think of the yearning, the betrayal, the angst— think of how good they look standing next to each other and how lumine would probably kiss dains only if she puches him in the sternum first. bonus points since my man dains gives off big simp vibes and we gotta stick together. i hope that we'll learn more about them in the future and that the ship will gain some traction)

kaebedo (i didn't ship this at all at first, but then i read a couple of fanfics that hit all the good spots and now i am unable to deny that they are among my faves. both have mysterious origin tied to khaenri'ah and i'm a fan of khaenria'an royalty!kaeya and homunculus!albedo theories. they would be such a good influence on each other, just think about it for a moment— albedo gets more in touch with humanity, and kaeya finally gets someone to rely on. bonus points if klee wingmans, whether intentionally or not)

zhongven (what's better than months of slowburn buildup? hundreds of years of slowburn buildup, of course! they are the oldest archons, so i like to think that they know and understand each other well regardless of romantic involvement. i especially enjoy lore-heavy fanfics and headcanons about them. there's an abundance of things to explore and ways to interpret them. bonus points if xiao involuntarily gets adopted)

bennefischl (it's one of the first ships i got into before plummeting into the abyss that is multishipping, but i still hold it dear. i like to think that bennett is aware of fischl's uh... vivid imagination and he simply chooses to indulge her. i just love the idea of this goth child who info dumps obscure, sometimes worrisome trivia and a hyperactive puppy who's so lovesick that he just listens without understanding half of it, they're so precious!)
