As for what you were saying about The nose and Mouth being on the same line: I'm imagining what you're talking about is the line starts at the tip of their nose and goes down to their chin? Kinda like some anime styles? My recommendation would be to do what I show above: Draw an egg-ish shape. And the make sure to draw the nose as a Spike/Orb/Whatever shape is your dream desire, popping out of it. Kinda think of it like a mountain in the middle of a flat Plane. Sticking out like a sore thumb. Besides that!!! References are your best friend!! Reference other artists!!! Reference IRL people!! And keep on keeping at it!! Like I said, I used to be TERRIBLE at drawing them, and here I am now :D I'm not always happy with them, and sometimes I still hate how I draw faces (working on that tho) but I'm miles better than when I was a kid. Thinking about some sort of fucked up science experiment, a boy waking up in a set of clinically clean, impersonal, empty rooms, without any memory of how he ended up there. There's no windows to the room, and the door which most lead outside is locked fast and apparently soundproof, and there's security cameras in the corners of the ceiling. Someone must come and go while the boy is asleep, because food appears on the table in one room every time he sleeps, and his dirty clothes get taken away and clean clothes are brought in, but he never sees anyone, no one ever even leaves him a message.

He soon loses track of the days, monotonous as they are with nothing really ever changing in the rooms, abd no clocks or windows or any way to tell the passing time except for his body's need to eat and to sleep. But eventually, the boy begins to notice his body changing, his stomach getting rounder little by little... and after a while he understands he must be pregnant.

For the entire pregnancy, he's left alone, without really a way to tell time exactly enough to properly guess how much time he's got left. Maybe he doesn't know how fast his belly should grow, or how big it should get. Is he even carrying a human, or is it something else? Is it one or is it multiple? Who's to say, the boy sure as fuck won't know until he goes into labor.

He'd be so scared when he finally goes into labor, even when he does no one comes to his aid. Whatever's in his belly is enormous, and he has no idea how he's suppose to be able to give birth to such a large creature all by himself. The contractions are horrible, each one so powerful it feels like the air is being crushed from his lungs. He cries in pain, clutching his deformed belly as the huge creature writhes inside him. It's so big he can barely move anymore, and he finds himself stuck on the floor with nothing around to help him.

The pressure in his belly builds and builds until he feels like he's going to burst, when suddenly a loud pop erupts from inside him. He screams as he feels a rush of fluid burst from his hole, soaking his thighs and forming a puddle beneath him. Immediately his contractions double down, squeezing his tummy like a vice. He feels the creature drop in his belly, making it droop between his legs so far it almost covers his knees. He pants and moans in agony between contractions, writhing on the ground while he feels the head of the creature slowly move lower in his body.

Despite pushing with all his strength, it feels like the creature hardly budges. Each contraction has him screaming his lungs out, throwing his head back and forth as the huge mass threatens to tear his body apart. After what feels like hours, he finally feels the head reach his hole, beginning to stretch him painfully wide. Almost as if it could sense how close it was to freedom, the creature starts to wriggle and thrash inside his belly, making the boy shriek in pain and clutch at his tummy in a vain attempt to keep the monster still. His hips creak and groan as the body forces him open wide, so close to breaking from the intense pressure.

It takes the boy hours of torture just get the head out. It dangles between his legs, wriggling around and snapping its jaws as it struggles to pull itself further out. He's already so exhausted, he can barely muster up the strength to push anymore, and he still has the rest of the body to give birth to. Without him pushing, the creature is stuck, even with the contractions tearing through his swollen belly, it won't move another inch.

It takes him several more days of agonizing labor to finally give birth to the rest of the creature. After countless hours of alternating between pushing weakly and passing out from pain and exhaustion, the creature finally slips from his broken, ruined body.

At last his body allows him to black out, and when he comes to, he finds himself in bed, still in the strange lonely facility, but cleaned and stitched up. His belly is still puffy and tender from the birth, but nowhere near as large as it had been when he was pregnant. It takes several weeks for his body to recover from the violent birth.

After his body fully heals, he's able to walk again, still alone in the strange place. Only a few days after he's up and walking, he feels a sharp sting in his neck and instantly blacks out. When he wakes up, there's a strange feeling in his tummy, and a deep sense of horror building in his chest. He knows it's starting all over again

secondly do you paint and shade everything like bit of grass and foliage and details by hand or do you use those stamp style brushes? i’d love to be able to paint like you so i figured id ask!

I did use stamp brushes for most of the grass and vine leaves! I usually hate using those kinds of brushes since they end up looking stiff and lifeless to me. But painting everything (especially grass) by hand is miserable!! So I did the base of the grass and vines silhouette with these brushes I made, and then painted the rest on top by hand to break up the repetition. I think that helped the greenery look a bit more natural without taking 5 years, haha.

Here are the brushes if you’d like to download them! I also included the brush I use for individual grass blades since it works so well. Foliage is always a struggle to paint, but the best advice I can give is to work in layers so you can maintain a clean silhouette for each section and easily make edits.

I've worked on Welcome Home for a bit over a year now actually! originally I reached out just to collaborate with Clown on a Welcome Home exhibition, but as ideas for that grew bigger + then the Big Discovery Of Welcome Home By The Broader Internet literally while we were working on that, I was very very lucky to be asked to stay on and help out with additional work! the majority of what I do is more behind-the-scenes and organizational rather than stuff folks see "onstage" as it were, but a little bit of my art & writing is on the site (I won't say what, I'm sure y'all can guess, and if you can't it can stay a mystery!) maybe there'll be more of my work soon, maybe there won't be... only one way to find out...........

Scathing opinion on the Snow White teaser please (also, people yet again infantilising R@chel and acting like she's just a toddler being unfairly bullied by everyone for her dumb comments)

Oof I really can't get involved with anything even remotely touching Rachel's fandom/community. They literally claim Rachel never said things she was documented and recorded as saying multiple times lol that's another level. They're the type of people that change their points/the topic of the discussion whenever they're proven wrong and that's maddening. I'll say the most obvious, objective truth that it's pretty clear Rachel has a disdain for Snow White and the story and that there should've been more protections in place to guard this landmark of film from the people that signed on for the remake (the original director's SON has spoken out and said Walt and his dad would be rolling around in their grave; also I've never seen Gal finish a sentence with ease so I don't know how she's going to do justice to Lucille La Verne's chilling interpretation that still holds its own decades later in the Patheon of great film villains).

If anything, I think a documentary on Snow White would've been better than whatever this is. We got girlboss!Snow White twice in 2012 alone, so I don't know why Rachel thought she was reinventing the wheel with lazy takes that have been spoon-fed to her (someone's own authentic interpretation or opinion on a female character would be great!!!) and the lack of understanding and love for the source material is evident in every interview we've seen and now this trailer we saw that has the production value of a Danimals Yogurt commercial from 2004. She still doesn't even seem to get it lol at d23 they asked her about this film and she just generally said it's a dream of anyone to play a Disney Princess, but didn't say anything about *Snow White*- even after her announcer (who was more excited than Rachel) called out that Snow White was the original Princess (also this statement kinda drips with the vacuousness that Rachel does; how is it a dream for her to be a princess "even for a day" when she's already portrayed Fiona, Belle, and Ariel??? This is her fourth Princess lol and she portrayed each of them for more than a "day" lol).

Anytime anyone who is actually passionate about SWATSD tries to say anything, we're told that no one liked Snow White in the first place and Rachel is doing us a huge favor by taking on this role and we're feigning our SW support, despite the fact that there's been Snow White historians and museums and fan communities for close to a century. We're constantly told to shut up while everyone cries about how special Rachel is in a movie that hasn't even come out yet and, judging from the trailers, looks like AI text to speech leaping forth with a dress that's giving paint by numbers. Rachel definitely has photogenic features, but I don't know someone who can earnestly say what they did to her, design wise, is pleasing in any way- they made her look like a preschooler's interpretation of Pinocchio in drag. She also has talent and vocal ability but her tact is not there for me and she just really is not the right choice to play Snow White (and also we already had a live Snow White!! I'll die on the hill that Adriana Caselotti will always be the only Snow White, just like Ilene Woods is Cinderella, Mary Costa is Aurora...Ariel is trickier because I think it's more Howard Ashman than Jodi lol but she'll only ever be those two etc). Snow White is the heart and soul of Disney, what started this entire empire, and I think, from everyone we saw in the trailer, it's proving to be the inverse and is the death of Disney in many ways.
