Her legs finally obey her, taking a few staggering steps forward.

She sees a woman, with hair of silver like Aemond’s, hunched over in the corner. Blood paints the pale skin of her face; clumps of it streaks her hair brown.

She’s wailing, rocking back and forth. In her arms lies what looks like a cape wrapped around something small and unmoving. The sight makes Lady Lannister’s stomach turn, and her eyesight turns blurry. She cannot see anymore.

i think what ticks me off the most about recent changes staff have been making to tumblr is they keep insisting it's necessary bc they need to draw in and retain new users or they're NEVER going to keep things going, so their solution is to... add a bunch of annoying and unintuitive shit that A) isn't going to appeal to anyone, let alone new people, but also B) piss off the existing user base.

like, im sorry, between the two demographics who do you think is going to ACTUALLY care enough about tumblr to use it every day and pay for things like no ads, or your merch based off decade old memes? i give this site the 5 or whatever bucks it takes to get rid of its stupid ad posts in part bc they're annoying but also because i have been on this fucking webbed site for 12 years! and i don't mind giving it some money to keep it running. BUT. not if that's paying for staff's ability to add more useless/convoluted/unappealing features that dont have MY user experience in mind

Akihiko lets the words roll off him. He can tell by Shinji’s tone– soft, grave– that he’s being serious rather than trying to get a rise out of him, but he’s still tired of indulging those morbid remarks.

He tugs the glove off of his right hand and reaches out to Shinji, an offering.

Shinji eyes his hand like it’s an entirely alien object. Akihiko might have been insulted if he hadn’t completely expected it.

There’s no hesitation in his answer. It’s not even a question, really. Despite everything, that’s one truth that Akihiko could never doubt. 

He knows Shinji too well, cares about him too much. He hadn’t given up on Shinji even when he’d been fighting tooth and nail and venom to push Akihiko away, and he’s not about to do it now. 

The look on Shinji’s face is…complicated, and Akihiko can’t quite read every nuance knitted into the expression, but he can tell at least that Shinji hadn’t been expecting that response.

He seems to mull something over for a few more seconds before slowly reaching out to take Akihiko’s hand. Shinji’s palm is dry and calloused. His skin is cool to the touch but the contact sends a current of warm static curling up his arm. Akihiko beams– he can’t help it.

Akihiko squeezes Shinji’s hand. He never wants to forget this moment; he wants to sear the scene into his memory– a perfect, permanent afterimage left behind by a lightning strike.

Shinji shakes his head a little like he’s exasperated, or just humoring him, but his smile is so soft and sincere. Akihiko’s heart flutters in his chest like a charge is being run through it. It’s been a long time since he’s seen Shinji look so at peace. Far, far too long.

Restless energy snaps through Akihiko’s limbs, but it’s different from the aimless, frustrated jittering that plagued him through the hours he’d sat vigil in this room.

TL;DR - They are Kris Dreemurr fictives and we needed a way to differentiate them

Oh you're not dumb, don't worry! It really is a little confusing because we haven't talked about who they or we are in a very long time. I'm going to talk a lot here so you have all the context you might need! If it''s too long,, the TL;DR above is the gist of it.

For context, we are a system! You can read about it a little in our FAQ

Kris T and Kris P are TWO Kris introjects/fictives of Kris Dreemurr from Deltarune in our system.

Originally we just had Kris T who split in Dec 2018, and then when Chapter 2 came out, Kris P came into our system after that. Of course at first, Kris T. was just "Kris", but since we had a double now, we had to figure out how to differentiate between the two. We knew another Kris fictive from a different system at this time who was nicknamed P. Kris by Susie in our system, and susie wanted to emphasize who she was talking about.

SO. As a small nod to that, everyone decided to nickname Kris P as Kris P, as an inverse of P. Kris.

Besides being Kris introjects/fictives though, they also look different! I made some new drawings to try and showcase their differences if that helps :3?

Their dark world forms also look different. Kris T's is simpler, with a shiny soft cape, while Kris P's is more complicated with a hooded cape, which is also described as "very comfortable"
