Cross Stitch update! It’s been a while since I’ve posted any cross stitching but I’ve actually done a decent amount lately! I was secretly working on a pretty large beach themed one for my parents! I finished it before Christmas but had to wait until January to give it to them. I loved working on it so much with all the bright colors and shapes 💕😁 The pattern is “On The Beach” by @stitchrovia 💕 Now I’m back to working on The Wheel of Time one for Dustin! I am absolutely TICKLED with how this came out! This was my first piece with back stitching, which I was a little nervous about, but it really makes the whole thing. The mountains and water almost look like watercolor. I hope my LOTR-obsessed friend is as thrilled to receive this as I was finishing it :)

I finished another cross stitch pattern. I can see every little mistake but hopefully they're not too noticeable. This one was fun! I love the fun colors and all the floral. I have another one I've already started on that's just as colorful, but it's not like anything I've ever done before so we will see how it turns out.

Start of a new project I’m doing for my sister! I unfortunately already messed up and missed a line in the A meaning the rest of the word is one line out of place. This is the first time I’ve made such a mistake and not realised soon enough to change it. But as Bob Ross says we don’t make mistakes, just happy accidents. And I still think it looks great!

I hung up my little multimedia cross stitch project in my office today. PhD by Stitchrovia. I made the skeins on the left and right thicker to accommodate the DMC plastic wraps. I pulled the blue thread that I used to cross stitch the little skeins through the little plastic wraps to the other side to secure them. I used real needles instead of stitching them, and wound rainbow cotton perle instead of stitching the bobbin thread. The rainbow wrapped bobbins took a bit of trial and error but I think they turned out well. Rainbow thread is Rainbow size 5 hand dyed Perle cotton from Pomegranatecolours. Fabric is 32 count Wichelt-Permin linen “chalkboard black”.
