Kohlberg's theory of moral development is a theory that focuses on how children develop morality and moral reasoning. Kohlberg's theory suggests that moral development occurs in a series of six stages. The theory also suggests that moral logic is primarily focused on seeking and maintaining justice. Kohlberg believed that only a relatively small percentage of people ever reach the post-conventional stages (around 10 to 15%). One analysis found that while stages one to four could be seen as universal in populations throughout the world, the fifth and sixth stages were extremely rare in all populations. While Kohlberg's theory of moral development has been criticized, the theory played an important role in the emergence of the field of moral psychology. Researchers continue to explore how moral reasoning develops and changes through life as well as the universality of these stages. Understanding these stages offers helpful insights into the ways that both children and adults make moral choices and how moral thinking may influence decisions and behaviors. Introduction Time!

Hello!

You can call me Studyteach! I’m a second year English teacher who is taking extra college classes to advance myself in the world. I’m a long time follower of the studyblr community! For a little bit I will only reblog things until I make some of my own original content. 

Some quick facts about me:

I’m 23 years old. (I feel a little old for this community.)

I have awful handwriting.

Got tagged by @studyteach ! I am so honored to be tagged because no one knows me on this site haha. So thank you!

What side of your bed do you sleep on? I always try to sleep farthest from the door because if an intruder comes then I probably won’t be attacked first haha. 

What’s your favorite TV show? How to Get Away with Murder! 

How would you describe your fashion style? I would say it’s wannabe boho (not quite bohemian but some aspects of boho). I also always try to wear sweaters but I live in southern California and it’s never actually cold enough for that. 

Do you have a lucky item? I don’t. But I should get one! 

What time do you wake up in the morning? I try to be up around 7! 

What’s your favorite type of drink? Tea! Or obviously any type of latte (hence the name haha) 

What do you do when you have a bad day? I always take a long shower and watch a movie with a big mug of tea. My grandma always said there isn’t a problem that tea couldn’t fix! 

Who do you call first when you have exciting news? I always call my mom haha.  

What are three words to describe you? Happy, generally tired, and nerdy. 

What are you excited about? I’m excited to be an aunt soon! And just excited that I got into the graduate program I wanted. 

What are your plans tomorrow? I’m actually traveling tomorrow to see some former students of mine!

7. Favourite Fruit: Peaches, Nectarines 

8. Favourite Season: Summer or Autumn- I hate how clothes feel so Summer helps me so I’m not uncomfortable. 

9. Favourite Book: My favorite book has been Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban since the first time I read it. 

10. Favourite Movies: Tangled, but I mostly binge TV shows.

11. Favourite Scent: Really strong men’s cologne. I love the smell of Axe.

13. Favourite Animal: Hmm.. probably otters. They are just so darn cute.

14. Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate: Probably coffee because it helps me survive my busy schedule. I used to adore tea, but I haven’t had it for a while.
