yknow based on freminet’s emphasis on being controlled & the director’s weapon vs making his own decisions, and looking at xiao’s everything, if one of the house of hearth kids is going to betray the fatui/join the traveler i’d kinda expect it to be him

#thoughts #they all have complicated emotions around arlecchino but. she directly saved the twins #and lyney’s got his whole responsibility thing & lynette & lyney will stay together #but frey… if he ends up in a place where he can make his own moves/decisions. id be very interested in what he’d choose #he was a child assassin for the previous director. arlecchino paired him up w the twins. i don’t think we know what he does now?#besides diving and fixing things. and we know he doesn’t like killing & that it’s stunted his emotional/mental growth/made him distant #and all. so i’d be very curious as to what’ll happen especially w xiao/frey living weapon/our master’s knife parallels #genshin impact #freminet #and w the traveler intersected. it’s not like xiao is perfectly healed. but freminet isn’t even out of the toxic environment yet #he seems to find a sense of comfort in not having to make the choice bc he offsets the guilt from murder through it #if he doesn’t have a choice and he’s just a weapon/windup toy then he bears no responsibility. and all #anyways save my boy from the fatui. get him outta there!!!!!!!#he’s already canonically su/c/dal if he doesn’t get out someday…..#anyways xiao freminet meeting when. self recognition through the other. i think xiao would dislike/be uncomfy w freminet.#frey take ur fate into ur own hands challenge #also someone get this boy some serious therapy.

just remembered austin butler is in Dune 2 and am filled with despair. he’s inescapable. he’s everywhere. genuinely one of the most flat unaffected charisma-free dead-eyed vacant lifeless actors I’ve ever beheld and yet he’s cast in goddamn everything. why??? why????? who is his agent? how many dicks is he sucking? what is the explanation!!! this man cannot act!!! he sucks the air out of every scene he’s in!!! watching him try to connect with his costars is grueling, he gives nothing, and every second I’m forced to hear him mumble his way through dialogue is completely excruciating. I don’t want him in the Dune sequel get him out of there!!! stop casting him in things for the love of god I can’t take it

Reading interviews about the development of movie musicals is bad for my mental health

#just once I want a director say they cast for musical ability first #or barring that either dub the actor when singing like they do in Bollywood #or give them singing lessons #if an actor in a marvel movie said they didn't want to do action stuff or fight scenes #you'd either have a stunt double do all of those or get an actor who's willing to do that #but in mean girls they just removed all the songs because an actor didn't want to sing #would it kill anyone making a musical to like. prioritize the music as a key part instead of an unfortunate thing they have to work around

#i haven't really participated in any discourse as of late but watching that movie kinda made me think about dwd and mp #like. we know the holivia mess was such a shit show and i know that they wanted to make it look like they met on set or whatever #but i think that that stunt was in the works way before the movie deal even happened #we know that harry was seen with the mp novel in 2019. which isn't out of the norm for him because he has previously owned art by queer #artists. so in that moment of time it passed by easily. however now that we know that harry literally read that novel letter to letter and #convinced the director/producer that he would be best for the role it means that he's wanted to be part of it since 2019 itself #knowing that i think his team was already on the lookout for a role for him where he could play the straightest man possible to cover up his #role in mp. dwd was also in the talks for quite some time before that given that the script #was out in 2019 and olivia acquired it in the same year too. while yes shia was originally cast for it and we all know how that ended #but i'm just thinking about how mp started in 2019 too and dwd started around the same time his team was definitely aware of it #and it aligned perfectly that shia fell out of the movie and harry got the role and olivia got the contract of her lifetime #like. i don't think that harry organically got the role and then the stunt happened. i think harry getting the movie was FOR the stunt to #happen so that it could overlap his role in mp #i fully think the contract was ''you get an actor and a public boyfriend and we get a beard and a public straight narrative''#so like tldr version : harry wanted mp badly enough that his team found the most straight role for him and saddled him with a beard to cover #up his role in mp. and it worked too because his scenes in dwd blew up and people still thirst over that #even though mp got way more success than dwd did #which is also why they were pushing so hard for it to be a theatre release first and then onto streaming unlike mp which went to streaming #straightaway. apart from the select few theatre releases they did #and also like. so many actors who have played queer roles in media get asked about their sexuality repeatedly. like kit connor #or nicholas galitzine to the point where it becomes an obsessive need for the public to know about it #and by doing this harry doesn't get asked about it explicitly (maybe he has them banned idk) and still gets to do whatever he wants however #he wants. okay byeeeee #my policeman #don't worry darling
