Your health is a funny thing. It’s very easy to take it for granted. Or get complacent when things are going well. a very obvious lesson in life, just take care of yourself before worrying about others. It is something I have not done very well in my life. I am learning there’s a cost for not bring attention to the warning signs. That goes for physical health, mental health , and spiritual health. Listen to the people around you pay attention to your friends, and what they are saying . In the days of social media, we are together, but separated. Hello friends. Since there has been a lot of questions and speculation floating around, I’m gonna spill my guts right here. I won’t be answering any questions in the comments. If you have my phone number, you can call me and I’ll talk about it. On March 31 at 4:15AM, I was admitted to Cedar Springs Hospital on an M1, 72 hour hold, after 3 suicide attempts. The first hold saw me there for 9 days. Less than 12 hours after my initial discharge, I was back on another M1. They released me earlier this afternoon and I’m doing much better. I share this not for sympathy or attention, as some would have you believe, but to remind any of you that if you’re ever in the condition that I found myself in, reach out to anyone (or me) and ask for help. There’s no shame in it and you’d be surprised who is there for you... and who isn’t. At the risk of sounding like a cliche, it does get better. There are many people to thank and others who turned their back on me and left me for dead. I won’t tag any of you here. You know who you are. God has a special place for all of you. It's easy to lose ourselves to the outcomes of our lives. It's easy to convince ourselves that our achievements, rather than our efforts, are a true reflection of the value we hold within. It's a dance with fate that often destroys hope and replaces it with complacency. In a world saturated with the ungrateful and the insincere, measuring your worth by the behaviour of others is an exercise in self harm..and simply adds you to the ranks of the ungrateful.
