Redemption by Proxy
When my best friend informed me what the Dark Urge in Baldur's Gate 3 is, my brain screamed, SUIKOTSU.
Mind you, my brain defaults to the Band of Seven more than I like to admit, because sue me, but I love almost all of them. (Mukotsu can die in a fire and I have no attachment to Kyoukotsu because we meet him for all of five minutes, but I honestly love the rest of them, all of them, as of late.)
When I first watched Inuyasha, I fell for the poor unfortunate soul but I understood he had to die. I was about 20 and never thought beyond this.
Cue the pandemic, and I binged Inuyasha for the first time after way back when. Of course I still loved Suikotsu, but I also sort of started liking Kikyou and how she grows. From someone who has learned (been told and adapted to that logic) that she cannot live among humans to someone who sees that ... she could? Because this guy, this dead guy, he has no idea he's a corpse, but he's here, helping, for no reward. Purest, softest, altruism, the way she offered before being ousted by an overzealous monk. And when later, he has a clear moment and begs for death, she wants to save him instead.
Of course, she can't. Not because Jakotsu is faster. Because in the Middle Ages there is no helping a man with severs dissociative PTSD. And of course, because the only thing keeping him and her alive is a jewel shard they won't be able to hold on to. But adult me thought, please just let them leave. Let them go away, far away out of Naraku's reach and just find peace somewhere together, giving all the love and warmth they have to offer to poor people with no-one else bothered to help them. It was never an option, but oh how I wanted that.
And along comes BG3 and when halfway through my first run I understood what the Dark Urge is and what Shadowheart is, I knew I can give them exactly that arc through those proxies. I have no idea what the Dark Urge is exactly, I only started a couple of days ago. The casualty I couldn't avoid so far was a squirrel, and I fear this will get a lot worse before it gets better. But I'll keep resisting and trying to make this work. I know the redemption is possible and I'll fight tooth and claw for it.
This is him, by the way. I picked a Drow over a human, but apart from that, I think the visuals check out.

Suikotsu
Who was he? One moment the scent and sight of blood dribbling down his hands sent him into a panic and the next he was savoring its copper taste. He could not remember if he was kind or grotesque. Perhaps he was both. Suikotsu decided maybe it was best to never know.

Renkotsu x reader smut
Tumblr media
(Not my gif credits to whoever made it ) So this kinda weird but 🤷🏻‍♀️ Warnings: rough sex, unprotected, hair pulling, slight blood, Renkotsu being a jealous asshole, etc
You sigh softly. You were so damn bored and Renkotsu had literally left you alone, horny. You shift uncomfortably and whine softly at the friction against you pussy. Suikotsu looked at you and seemed to notice. ‘Oh shit’ you thought as he walked towards you smirking.
“Hey little girl~” he said in a low voice.
You just looked at him nervously, then an idea came to you.
‘Make him jealous’ you thought as you saw Renkotsu walk by flashing you a look that made you mad.
“Hi Suikotsu, whatcha up to~” you said shifting your hips a little. He laughed softly and bent down to your level to whisper in your ear “Just looking for some fun.~” And with that he licked at your neck.
“Oh?” You said softly looking at Renkotsu’s very pissed off and jealous expression. You stood up and Suikotsu just looked up at you before also standing up. He pressed himself against you and grabbed your hands. You whimpered softly.
“I like when you whimper like that, it reminds me how pathetic you are.”
Then Suikotsu was ripped away from you and before you knew what was happening you were being threw over a shoulder and carried away. You looked over to see no other then Renkotsu.
“H-hey put me down..” you say nervously. And you wish was granted by you being threw down. You cry out from the pain. And then Renkotsu was on you. Biting, growling, pushing your face in the dirt, and grabbing harshly at your tits.
“Your such a fucking whore.” He growled while ripping your clothes off.
“I’m sorry…” you mumble and he just laughs while pulling off his clothes.
His response was him shoving his dick in your hole. You moaned at his roughness. He held a bruising grip on your hip and yanked at your hair.
“Tell me something. Did you really think you would get away with that?” He laughed. “You really are a slut. When your daddy doesn’t give you what you want you be a bad girl and try to get fuck by someone else.” He tsked and slowed down.
“Renkotsu-“ you cried out when he pulled you back by the hair.
“What was that?” He snarled
“Sir! Sir please I’m sorry! Please go faster! I’ll do anything just please fuck me!!” You cry. He laughed again .
“Only good girls get rewarded like that. Bad girls get punished. Then he flipped you on your back and bite down on your breast harshly, blood spilling softly down your stomach. He licked up the blood and looked at you with a terrifying look. He slowly pulled his dick out of you and moved down to your clit and bit down on it. You screamed so loudly you could have swore the others heard you. Tears flowed down your face, eyes widening when you saw a him pull out a knife. You shook your head begging him not to but he just smiled at you and cut clit. You wailed the pain.
“Please I’m sorry! It hurts! Please, please , please!!!” You cried
“What did I say?” Renkotsu said looking at you.
“B-bad girls get p-punished…” you say quickly.
“And what have you been?” He asked
“A bad girl. But I’m-“ you begin before being cut off
“It doesn’t matter if your sorry you still need to learn your lesson.” He said before cutting your inner thigh.
You screamed again as he continued to cut you in different places. Then he shoved his dick back in you. You moaned and grabbed onto his shoulders and weakly wrapped your legs around his waist. He pounded you and kissed you roughly, biting down on your lip making it bleed too. You soon felt the knot form in your stomach, before it finally broke. You moaned as he spilled his seed in you soon after your organism.
You bury your face in the crook of his neck and say ‘I’m sorry and i love you’ to which he returned to you and told you something you wouldn’t forget.
“Don’t ever do that again because next time it will be worse…”
( awww this was such trash but it was totally fun and worth it )

There were a few things Sango had learned over the past two years. She had figured out how to function on a precious thirty minutes of sleep, baby giggles were the sweetest sound on earth, and reading bedtime stories always led to adventures. But there was one lesson in her life that she knew she would never really master - learning how to lose him.
Fandom: Inuyasha Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Romance Rating: T Sequel to: Forever and Always (but can be read as a stand-alone) Pairing(s): Suikotsu/Sango, mentions of Miroku/Sango Word Count: 6,100
Can be found on AO3 and FFN
A fic finally written in its completion for Fleet Week, hosted by @inu-mothership. Thank you for the prompt that finally brought this to its end.  And to @fawn-eyed-girl for looking it over and pushing those plot bunnies to the finish.
Excerpt:
.
.
.
Sango exhaled slowly as she lifted a glass of whiskey to her lips, listening to the clinking of the ice cubes and breathing in a fragrance that only years in an oak barrel could achieve. Already the worries of the day were beginning to fade, even as the first taste touched her lips. She hummed with content. Her tongue slid across her lips to relish every drop as she leaned against the counter and closed her eyes.
Water dripped quietly from the faucet, recently washed dishes piled beside the sink in the drying rack. The silence of the rest of the house was only broken by the sound of the waves crashing in the bay every so often, the smell of a late-night bonfire wafting in through the open window. Most nights were spent like this, alone in the kitchen under the dimmed pendant light.
The whiskey - an old favorite - turned down the volume on her thoughts. It brought her memories of good times past, and she let herself dwell in them rather than think. In these short minutes, she was there and not, existing in two perfect moments. Somehow it steadied her, giving her the resolve to get through another day.
Drunken laughter. Kisses intermingled with whiskey breath. Fingertips brushing over bare skin.
There were a few things Sango had learned over the past three years. She had figured out how to function on a precious thirty minutes of sleep. There was a difference between a hungry-cry and an uncomfortable-cry. Baby giggles were the sweetest sound on earth. Reading bedtime stories would always lead to adventures. Two-year-olds were always mobile. And it was totally okay to call a babysitter just to have a few hours of personal time with her friends, because self-care was important.
But there was one lesson in her life that she knew she would never really master - learning how to lose him.
When she woke up in the morning, there was always a second before she fully awakened in which she would forget. Then another second would pass, Miroku’s name a melancholic whisper on her lips, and she would remember. She would roll over to the other side of the bed, the sheets cold and never holding the scent she used to call home.
Several minutes would pass as she fought to recall what his voice sounded like, the feel of his lips pressed against hers, the way he would laugh. Then there would be a stir in the next room, and she would murmur her daughter’s name, her lips tugging into a smile.
Sango always poured two cups of coffee in the morning, a silent conversation being exchanged in her mind, as she shushed her energized toddler in her high chair. Some habits died hard, and sharing the beginnings of her days with quiet talk of what was to come had always been one of her favorite routines.
Even still, it was strange to wake up in the home Miroku had chosen for them - that on his deathbed, he had surprised her with that house on the hillside they had both adored. There was still so much she needed to do - so many ideas and ambitions they had shared together - but it was slowly shaping into the dream house they had planned to spend their married days in.
“It’s been three years, Sango. It’s time to start dating again,” her mother had told her months ago over the telephone.
She knew her mother didn’t mean anything cruel by it. She was simply trying to help her daughter be happy and move on. But Sango’s parents lived across the country, only visiting a few times out of the year. Her parents had been high school sweethearts and married since they were twenty. They already had their dream of marriage and kids and the white-picket fence.
They simply didn’t understand. Sango’s happily-ever-after had been robbed.
A static-filled cry from the baby monitor pulled Sango out of her thoughts, her glass of whiskey now empty. She inhaled deeply - memories of happier times - and exhaled - the pain of loss palpable - before she set her glass in the sink and turned out the lights.
It had been no secret that losing Miroku - her fiancé, husband, father of her child - wasn’t going to be easy. He had been taken from her so suddenly, the shock alone nearly killed her. But dammit. She had been so naïve to believe it wouldn’t be this hard. She was sure his absence would be something she would never get used to.

Summary:
In that village, at the base of that hill where they will meet Suikotsu in his old form, when their personalities were unknown, as a doctor, there they were in a house. The priestess Kikyo taught Kohaku how to take care of those potted plants that adorned that place. She gave life. Which caught his and Suikotsu's attention. And Kikyo therefore tells him the story of how she got Kagome's blueprints as a gift. "This desire is natural, isn't it? To not let your existence pass you by as blank as paper. To feel that your life had meaning, that it was worth existing, that the fight and the choices you made were worth it." Kikyo was right. The important thing is to take root in people's hearts.
