Reasons Why I Need a Sexy JoongDunk BL

If you know me, then you’ll know that it’s actually kind of funny that I’m asking for this. Me. A sex-repulsed leaning asexual who, for the most part, tends to stay away from (overly) sexy and/or horny series. And yet I really want a sexy JoongDunk series. A messy, Only Friends-type of series even, perhaps.

Make no mistake, though. I don’t actually want it for me, oh no. No, I want a sexy JoongDunk series for them, for their sake. Because I feel like they’d have a whole lot of fun with it.

And here’s why I think so:

Reason #1: Dum Dum

Definitely the most obvious reason, but the LOL Fanfest Dum Dum performance: the fact that the choreography was like That. And the fact that it was their idea to switch up who bites who for day 2:

Not to mention the fact that Dunk actually bit Joong for real:

I'm just saying, they wanted “hot and sexy”, they chose this:

Reason #2: “We’ve never done this before”

The way they kept bringing up how Hidden Agenda is more mature than Star in My Mind and how there were scenes that they’d never done before*, it seemed to have been a big deal for them.

Reason #3: “Favorite episode of Hidden Agenda? Episode 8!!”​

The way Joong immediately said episode 8 was his favorite, smiling expectantly at Dunk...

...and then was very adamant when Dunk couldn’t decide between episodes 7 and 8:

Considering their comments of how “episode 8 is special” because they’ve “never done anything like this before”... Well, dare I bet it’s their favorite episode because of the ending specifically. Unless maybe they were particularly excited about the stalker story line. I don’t think they’d done that before either.

Reason #4: Ep8 watch party live on Instagram

The way they actually sat down and went live on Instagram in order to watch, react to, and comment on the entirety of episode 8.

And considering Dunk’s comment at the beginning of this live about how it’s “something we've never done before” I’m absolutely convinced they chose ep8 to react to specifically because of the ending lmao. Unless, of course, they were extremely hyped about the stalker plot. There were no creepy stalker plots in Star in My Mind, nor do I remember any significant stalking in Joong’s other works. Or maybe the two of them were referring to the scene where Zo bites Joke’s arm. I don’t remember any biting from Star in My Mind, so who knows, it might be that. What else was special in ep8? Oh right, Joke punched the stalker. That can’t have been the “we’ve never done this before” thing, though, considering Joong was literally in a Mafia series before. Also, he punched Pepper in Star in My Mind. My theory still stands.

Reason #5: “It was more intense than this”

In that instagram live they also dropped that a lot was cut from that scene and that it was supposed to be more intense than this. Uh, boys...? What kind of choreography did y’all on set come up with for this scene exactly??

(I can’t stop laughing at Dunk's face when he agrees with Joong saying that a lot was cut. He looks like he suddenly bit into a very sour lemon lmao)

In conclusion:

Clearly they had a lot of fun with the Dum Dum performance and it seems that they were very excited about getting to do something more mature with Hidden Agenda, and also getting the the chance to do something that they’ve “never done before” in ep8 specifically. So my point stands: I think they’d have a blast playing a sexy series together. I want it for them.

I've been thinking of the recently released pap pics and the circulation they are making from DM to E! News to People Magazine and every gossip site in between. And I have THOUGHTS...

First thing to remember: Nicola has always told us to pay attention and listen to the story SHE IS TELLING YOU and not the one you read on gossip sites.

Back in August, Nicola attended the music festival on Sunday, August 18th. We did not see any papped pics of her and JD until one week later on Sunday, August 25th when the Irish Sun published an online article. I believe that the pap company may have reached out to try and sell the pics to Nic's team first and and when they would not pay the (typically) exorbitant fee, they may have negotiated for the company to not allow them to be released until 8/25. This was the day before the Kate Spade release which would help bury the pictures. It also gave Nic an opportunity on Thursday, August 22nd to update her insta grid with the "it's all yours" post for Luke. This is a subtle nod to fans that HER STORY includes Luke.

Here we are now. I am of the belief that these pictures were taken in late September (pre-NYC). I think someone may have been following Nic and JD with an agenda to obtain these pictures for nefarious reasons. The photos were taken and were held for a "rainy day." It is important to note there is an entire faction of the "fandom" actively rooting against Nicola and Luke and going to extreme lengths to collect evidence for this Nicola and JD narrative. On Wednesday, October 16th, Nicola's TIME article was released online and included an entire paragraph about Luke including a line about people wanting them to get married. This took the internet by storm and I can only assume angered those with the opposing narrative. So they have the photos released. Again, I'm sure the photos were attempted to be shopped to her team and they once again declined with the caveat of one week til release. The next four days include a media blitz on the internet. Interviews and clips from the S3 World Tour are re-released along with never been seen footage. Interviewers were conversing with fans about the chemistry and love between Nicola and Luke. This all culminated on Monday, October 21st when Nicola surprised everyone with a selfie of her and Luke. I do NOT believe this was the "S4 Polin Selfie" - this was purely just a spur of the moment selfie between two people in love. And I believe this was a repeat of her "it's all yours" situation from August and she was telling everyone that HER STORY IS LUKE. Tuesday, October 22nd ends with Nicola posting a random story about a "paper moon" which can also be used to describe a fake relationship or situation - an ominous warning to all fans involved.

Once the pictures were dropped by Deuxmoi on Wednesday, October 23rd, tags on Nicola's instagram were actively being deleted. The night ended with 10 pictures from the pap drop remaining in her tagged section and more of them were deleted the following day. By end of the day on Thursday 10/24, the "date night" pics were spread to all the major gossip sites including E! News, Entertainment Tonight, and People Magazine. All of these sources cited the pictures as being taken on different dates: Monday 10/22, Tuesday 10/23, the week of 10/15 - the true mark of a sketchy situation.

I want to end this by acknowledging that I know the fandom is frustrated and upset but I think it's important to not feel "duped" by Nicola. I do not believe she was involved in what occurred with these pictures. She was purely walking home with her FRIEND and they may have been a little closer but I think that can be chalked up to him helping her and covering her through the scary situation - imagine if you were walking home one night and got ambushed by cameras on a side street! Her team did work on the front end with the media push of the old clips and she posted a pic with Luke for everyone. At this point, they're just letting her name be out there and living up to the old adage of "no press is bad press." I PROMISE YOU that this is not a PR situation that they will not be able to get out of. There will be a plan in place and she will get through this.

And from this point on, it IS important to remember the following: PAY ATTENTION TO THE STORY NICOLA IS TELLING YOU AND NOT THE STORY THAT DEUXMOI AND THE GOSSIP SITES ARE TELLING YOU. And if you feel the need to spiral, it might be time to take some time off away from social media because none of this affects any of us personally. We just want Nicola and Luke to be happy and healthy!

Friends with Benefits: Sometimes hooking up with a friend is simpler than to complicate life with romantic feelings that can only come to ruin your day. However, what happens when that friend that was supposed to be your safe escape becomes something more? What happens if some of those feelings never died like one of them thought they would? Day 5 (Wednesday, August 20th)

Stuck Together/Forced Proximity:  Isn’t it just inconvenient when for reasons out of your control you have to share a same space with someone you might not like so much, or someone who might not like you so much, or someone you might like too much, or just someone you haven’t talked to in a long time, and it’s just Awkward? Yup, it’s the worst. But it’s so much fun when it happens to the characters we love! Go wild with this one!

Past and Present: Time to do some comparisons between Steve and Jonathan in earlier seasons vs later seasons. How have things changed? How can you manipulate that to be more Stonathan? Again, be creative!

Day 6 (Thursday, August 21st)

Secret Relationship: Holding hands underneath tables, where no one can see. Sharing glances with each other from across the room. Waiting for the door to close so you can steal a kiss. The burden of a secret sometimes might be worth it. It might make things even more exciting. It might just crush the relationship under its weight. There's so much to explore with this prompt!

Warmth: This means whatever you want it to mean. Warm colours, warm colouring, warmth in poems, warmth in literally any way you want.

Day 7 (Friday, August 22nd)

5+1: This one doesn't need more explanation, does it? Sometimes we need a second chance for things to go right. Or a third. Or a fourth. Maybe 5 tries? Okay, fine, let's give it a one more. The five times things didn't work out and the one time they finally did. A perfect scenario to run into awkward situations, for the yearning to build and for an explosive getting together!

Dynamics: This could mean dynamics in terms of Steve and Jonathan (their personal dynamic), or their dynamic with another character, or it could mean dynamic movement for videos/gifs. Take this however you want.

Lots of debate on the timeline of events in the outsiders and ages fitting into that, but according to Hinton Pony was born July 22, and he'd been 14 for about a month (line in the movie) when the main events kick off. That would put the murder during late August, which is exactly when that schoolyear would be starting. They only hide out for 5 days, which would put them at early September when they end up back home.

The rumble, Johnny's death, Dally's death, and Pony's concussion fainting happens the night after they get home.

Ponyboy comes to after 3 days, then ends up on bedrest for another week, where he displays delusional thought.

The Juvenile Court hearing presumably occurs shortly after that bedrest, as Pony is still not considered fit to testify on the murder, placing it squarely into the month of September.

It's not super clear how long the depressive episode lasts for Pony, but it's long enough that he is failing his classes and Syme is offering to bring him up to a C. Recalling my high school days, overall grades for fall semester were usually evident by like mid October, so I would give Pony 2-3 weeks, maybe a full month before Syme reaches out.

However, we also know Pony was procrastinating on his assignment, it's part of Darry's nagging iirc, so that + the theme being a final project for the semester, it was probably due mid-late November/maaaayyybe early December.

This is where ages come in bc some of the ages we have from the TV Show Bible don't align with the story's events happening in August.

However.

We know that we are reading Ponyboy's theme. It ends cyclical to the beginning, and there's also evident effort on Ponyboy's end to avoid writing profanity into his recollection. He's 14, been to Hell and back, and also procrastinated on his essay. That is to say, I'd believe it if the argument was made that for some of the surviving characters, he just mentioned how old they were at the time of writing.

Side note, too, that the musical does corroborate the main events happening in late August imo, as it explicitly ties the Curtis Parents' deaths to Darry's birthday; Darry was born January 5, and they died 8 months before the story took place; 8 months from January is obviously September, technically. However. Looking at the calendar year for 1967 (the musical is bumped up 2 years), Darry's birthday fell on the first Thursday of January. If Pony's birthday is July 22nd and it's been a month (not confirmed in the musical to have been a month, but confirmed that he would be 15 next July), the Friday Night Drive-In encounter would have been August 25 (literally the first week of school), 7 months and 3 weeks after the crash; technically not 8 months, but extremely close. If we want to push it closer and move the events a week later, then the drive in would have happened September 1.

In conclusion, my proposed book timeline, cross-referenced with calendars and given school start dates:

Persona 4 anime sound drama CD #1, "I guess I'm not lucky after all"

Adachi isn't in this one at all (GIVE ME BACK THE HOUR I SPENT LISTENING TO THIS???) so this is not quite as in-depth lol. The drama adapts some of Yosuke's Social Link and also depicts August 15-20th in-game where the protag would either work at Junes or go to summer school with Kanji and Rise. It takes place concurrently with episodes 13/14 of the anime. (In episodes 13/14, the calendar shows the festival on the 20th and the watermelon on the 22nd, so the customer event must be on the 21st cause of the timing w/summer school.)

Yu, Chie, and Yukiko are hanging out at Junes while Teddie works at the shaved ice booth. Rise and Kanji aren't there because they got stuck in summer school. Yosuke thinks he's run into a bit of bad luck - he lost rock paper scissors and has to run the Junes customer appreciation event on Sunday. Yu, on the other hand, seems to have rather good luck. He offers to buy Yosuke a soda, and he's a lucky winner so he gets 1 free drink. Yosuke opens his soda and it's all shaken up, but Yu opens his and it's fine. (Like Yosuke's rank 4 SLink scene, two Mean Girl employees complain at Yosuke about their schedules.)

Yosuke goes over to the Dojima's to do summer homework with Yu. (This is combined with the segment from Yosuke's Social Link where they're in Yu's room, Yosuke asks him about The Goods, then Nanako comes up and mentions she is going to a friend's house.) Yosuke's bad luck comes up again, and he asks Yu if he knows a fortune teller. It turns out that Yu does, kind of.

Yu takes him to Tatsuhime Shrine where Margaret has a tent set up. She sits behind a cloth and has Aria of the Soul playing on a stereo lol. Yosuke thinks he was born under an unlucky star/planet sign, and asks if Margaret can do anything about his future. She very quickly replies that it's impossible. Rather than relying on her, she suggests Yosuke try to change himself, and points out of how Yu went through a lot this summer, pushed himself, and underwent change. She thinks Yosuke still doesn't see what's important, but new experiences will help him discover new truths.

One of the older girls who works at Junes, named Kazumi, calls Yosuke and says she can't work at Junes on the customer appreciation event day. To replace her, Yu and Chie end up agreeing to help, and Chie also volunteers Yukiko to come. (Kazumi is mentioned in Yosuke's SLink. The anime drama made her a character who Yosuke briefly interacts with.)

Come the actual day of the appreciation event, the Mean Girl duo from earlier hears that Kazumi doesn't have to work during the event, and they complain at Yosuke. (This incorporates the Yosuke Social Link scene with this where the girls shit talk Saki, his rank 7 scene, then Yu intervenes and says he feels bad for Saki.) The 2 girls leave work during the event, and Yu calls in Kanji and Rise to replace them. Since it's Sunday, the 2 of them won't be at summer school.

Yu boasts about Yosuke running the event to Nanako, and she thinks he's amazing, and that the roof is like some kind of amusement park. Yosuke downplays this, as he was only thinking of this as something he ended up doing cause he lost rock paper scissors.

During the limited time sale period, a stampede of women rush around Junes buying things that are on sale, and we lose both Teddie and Kanji, who Yosuke sent to die on the frontlines by assigning htem to herd customers around while him and Yu restock products. RIP in pieces, our fallen brothers in arms. After the sale period, Yosuke gives a speech about The Power of Friendship. Just like Margaret said, he didn't see what was important, but now he does. This whole time, he thought he was so unlucky, and that's all he could think about. But he has such good friends who show up and support him like this, and having them all here with him by his side makes him feel like the luckiest person ever.

...and then like 10 seconds later, it begins raining, and Yosuke realizes that his luck really is god awful.

Ten Months On Tumblr!

We are nearing a year on tumblr my friends! In August on the 22nd will be the one year anniversary of my first post. Honestly? Can't really believe it.

Its pride month so our two main fandom artists (Ashley & AJ) posted art of the gays.

Clover is alive and well now. In their own bubble from what I can tell. I have no clue what fandom they yapping about now but it's a sign of life and I will take it.

AJ seems to be getting on a normal sleep schedule again. Hopefully the insomniac death loop has been broken.

Ashley. Well Ashley does what they want while others look at them wondering if they are mentally there. (I say very affectionately.)

Rin is still posting. I really need to catch up with their fics. Its been over two months. I've been too busy to read or remember to read Rin's fics.

Welt has been deep in the Dead Boy Detectives brainrot and you know what? Fair. It was a good show. Godspeed on delusion my friend.

I've been busy. Like really busy. Typing out fics. Trying to finish and understand honors calculus. I started volunteering at a small cat adoption place in a PetSmart. Mainly on Sundays but I usually crash right after I get home at 3 pm. Those cats have energy let me tell you. But they are cute and lots of them are tiny. One likes to bite and fight. Honeybee you are a menace to society.

Also my friends that are fans of the short film TROUBLE I got a surprise for you. @traveling-salesman. I made a blog and I have been taking screencaps of it and I am hoping to make more gifs. There is a queue so it will auto post a few things per day. The first one is posted at 10:15 am EST!

I also wrote a father's day fic that is Gray and Paul centric because we need it. Its called "I've Wondered" and refences EPIC's "I Can't Help but Wonder" but only slightly. This was suppose to be a Valentine's fic because on a day of love we don't really focus on platonic or familial love only romantic. As you can tell it was not posted on Valentine's Day and was changed heavily from what was there before. So it was repurposed for father's day.

I've just been busy and writing fics and some other fan stuff when I can squeeze it in. I have a 3d print project I'm going to start soon and it looks really fucking cool. So I hope it prints well. Been doing adelineiserman's writing prompts when I can. Going waayyyy to deep then it really needs to be and no I haven't been posting it but I will soon. I just have too many thoughts. Also been watching Lower Decks. It's good but the way I would describe it would be if Solar Opposites and Star Trek mixed together. Not bad but also just adult comedy but Star Trek branded. I like it but more for the laughs then the plot. If there really is one. I'm only on season 2 so you know.

I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Hi lovelies! Taking a month break from posting was really what I needed and I'm so glad I did it. I lurked and wrote to my heart's desire and it was a nice change of pace. I will say it was hard not sharing the fics that I finished as soon as I finished them because I'm excited to share with you guys.

With that said, I've managed to finish 3 fic series which will bring us into June. And I'm still working on the bikini themed 2nd part and the rest of the ideas that I have lined up for the next 3 months.

Thank you again everyone for all your love on my fics, I've been seeing all the likes, and reblogs and it just makes my day! I'll be kicking off my next fic series this weekend starting Sunday, yay! Can't wait for you all to read them.
