Dating an idol was never easy, anyone could tell you that. You knew what you were getting yourself into. Especially with one who looked like him. Lee Sungjong, the one you fell for. You never wanted to get too close to him. But you had no choice when it was your job. 

You were just a plain makeup artist for Woollim Entertainment. A good friend of yours recommended you, which gave you the job almost automatically. She was very well respected at Woollim. Your first job, being his makeup artist. He made your job easy, while the others were picky. “You know how to make me look amazing.” He said. “But you already look amazing. I’m just adding on to it.” You added. 

For that moment on he knew he would like you. He only accepted you to do his makeup and hair, no one else. No other makeup artist had your touch as he put it. When in reality he just had a crush on you. You were assigned to be his makeup artist for their upcoming tour. You were happy for two reasons. One you got to go to the shows for free. And second when they had breaks you could spend with Sungjong. 

It wasn’t until hours before the last show he got to spend time with you. He decided on a park far far from the venue. Barely anyone was there so he thought it was a good idea. “Y/N?” “Yes Sungjong?” “Let’s sit here. I have something to tell you and I don’t know if I want you standing.” 

The two of you sat by a nearby tree and looked into the sky. The sun was setting which made the sky a beautiful orange color. “I know we haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together for this whole tour like we said we would, but I’m glad we do now. So I want to take the time to say it now. Y/N, I like you. I have since you walked in on your first day.” 

You didn’t know what to say. You had no words. 

“Well? Don’t leave me hanging. Can I at least hear what you’re thinking?” You questioned. 

“I like you too.” You revealed. “Really?” 

You nodded. “Good, I thought this would be awkward if you didn’t like me. We should get to the hotel before they find out we left without permission.” He added. 

From that moment on, he was your everything. You were his everything. You didn’t want to be without each other. Late nights, he would sneak out of the dorm and come stay with you in your apartment. Other times when he couldn’t. He would help you sneak into the dorm and into his room. Your relationship was a secret. Not only from the fans, but also from his manager, boss, family, and most of his group mates. The only one who knew of your relationship was Sungyeol. He came across the two by accident. 

You took a shower in their dorm. As you were making your way back to Sungjong’s room, he bumped into you. He was about to call the police thinking you broke in and you were a crazy fan. But you weren’t. You were as sweet as could be. Sungjong had to explain to him you were his girlfriend and that he had to keep the secret. After a few exchanges they came to an agreement to keep you a secret. 

You were having a nice day. You went to work with a smile on your face. You were signed to Lovelyz. They were your girls. All of them loved and knew you. Though they didn’t know about your relationship they noticed your strange behavior with Sungjong. 

You were fixing Mijoo’s hair. “Y/N unni, are you dating anyone?” She asked. 

“That is not to be discussed at work.” 

“Y/N L/N, to the CEO’s office.” You stiffened a little hearing your name being called on the intercom. That thing was rarely used. Why was it being used now? Why was it being used to call you to the CEO’s office. Were you in trouble? 

You walked to the CEO’s office quickly not wanting to keep them waiting. You opened the door to be greeted with Sungjong and his members to the side of CEO Lee’s desk. Sungjong looked the most out of best. 

He was on his knees in front of CEO Lee. All eyes were on you. You bowed. “Hello, you wanted to see me Mr. Lee. Is something wrong?” “Yes there is, Ms. L/N. Come in.” You shut the door behind you and stepped in the office. 

“Mr. Lee, please. I’ll do anything. Please don’t make me.” Sungjong begged. “Don’t make you do what?” You chimed in.

“Mr. Lee found out about your relationship. You and Sungjong can no longer be together. Sorry, Y/N.” Sungyeol confessed. 

The words hit you harder than expected. You looked down at Sungjong who had tears flowing down that beautiful face of his. “Mr. Lee, please hear me out.” 

“I don’t want to hear it, Ms. L/N. You’re fired. Please pack your things and leave.” Mr. Lee replied. 

“Mr. Lee! Please! Don’t do this to her! It’s my fault!” Sungjong pleaded. 

“No, Sungjong. It’s fine. Goodbye, everyone.”You lied. On the inside you were dying inside. You rushed out of the office before tears could fall. You ran out of Woollim to your apartment. 

You opened the front door and slammed the door. You dropped everything and slumped down on the couch. You couldn’t feel. Your vision, blurred because of the tears. Your heart was broken, smashed, shattered, crushed, you could go on and on with the synonyms. 

There was a loud banging at the door. “Y/N! Y/N! OPEN UP! PLEASE LET ME IN!” Sungjong’s voice sounding. 

“GO HOME SUNGJONG! YOU’LL ONLY MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR THE BOTH OF US! I LOVE YOU! YOU HEARD WHAT HE SAID! We can’t be together.” Your voice getting quiet. 

“NO! I REFUSE TO LOSE YOU! PLEASE! WE CAN WORK THIS OUT! I’M NOT GIVING YOU UP!” Sungjong promised. 

You walked to your front door and opened it to see him. His hair everywhere. Tears dried. His eyes swollen. “Well, I’m giving you up. Don’t worry about me. Focus on your career. Tend to your fans. They love you. Listen to those around you. They care about you, Sungjong.” 

“Y/N, I love you. I can’t be without you.” He responded. 

“Damn it Sungjong! Open your eyes! We can’t be together! Let it go! Just like I have to let you go. I’m sorry.” You said. It broke your own heart hearing the words just leave your mouth. 

He knew nothing he would say next could change your mind. Your mind was made up. You were doing this for him. You knew there had to be a good reason why they didn’t want the two of you together. So you had to respect that. 

“Y/N, I-”

“There’s nothing left to say Sungjong. Let’s just say goodbye.” 

He pulled you into a hug and kissed your head. “You’ll always be my girl, no matter where you are. No matter who you are with. I love you.”

“I love you too.” You added.

You pulled away and looked at him one more final time. “Well, I’ll see you around.” 

“Yeah, sure. Take good care of yourself. I’ll miss you. Don’t be sad.” You wiped away the tears he had left. “I’ll be fine. And so will you. Goodbye, Sungjong.” 

“Goodbye, Y/N.” 

You slowly shut the door in his face and fell to the floor. You weren’t okay. You only told him that so he could leave you alone. Nor was he okay. He walked away from your door, holding his chest. 

You walked into Woollim Entertainment full of hope and love. But left with regret and heartbreak. You cursed yourself for being so naive. If you knew it would end like this, you would have never taken his offer. But, do you regret it?

I’ve never written something like this. I really hope you like it. I love Sungjong so much so it was really hard to write this. Sorry for any mistakes. Thanks for reading.

summary: He catches you crying while the two of you sleep and tries to get through to you.

a/n: I wrote this a long time ago (also), when I was feeling really lonely and vulnerable. I was listening to Starkid/Darren Criss’s “Not Alone” at the time.

“What’s wrong?”

He whispered in your ear, leaning over to see your face. You were grateful the bedroom was dark, but at the same time regretful that he heard you. A hand reached out for your face, gently touching your eyes.

“Are you crying?” he asked. You winced, hearing the shock in his voice.

“I’m fine,” you quickly answered.

Silence followed as you felt him lay back down. The clock read 3:55 A.M.

Why did you have to break down now?

You turned to him but buried your face in his chest. He called out your name with worry.

“Shh,” you said. “I’m sorry.”

He ran his fingers through your hair, the other hand rubbing your shoulder. The way he comforted you without question only made you want to cry more.

How could you tell him of the dream – no, nightmare – you just had? How you thought it was all real? How the possibility of him leaving you could really happen?

After a while, he patted your head. “Jagi, are you going to tell me what’s up?”

“I… I had a dr– nightmare,” you started. “I was shopping and walking down the street, and I saw you with your hat, instantly knowing it was you.”

Despite dreams typically not fully retaining after five minutes of waking up, the vision remained so vivid for you. His squeezing your arm brought you back. “And?”

“And… well, I called out to you. And you looked at me.” Your breath hitched as you tried to say it loud. “And you turned away, as if you didn’t know me at all.”

His hands stopped stroking your hair and rubbing your back. “I called out to you again,” you continued.

“Jagi, stop–”

“And this time you spoke to me.”

“It’s not–”

“‘And you are?’ you told me. ‘I would never be with someone like you.’”

The tears you were trying to hold back wouldn’t stop. Normally you would reach out to him like you did moments ago, but the fact that he knew your worries, the concerns haunting your subconscious, only made you feel guilty and unworthy to even touch him.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’ll go,” you said, shifting off the bed.

His arm wrapped around you before you could leave. “Don’t go.”

Even though it was dark, he held you by your shoulders, his forehead pressed against yours. “Has this been on your mind for a while now?” he asked. You nodded. “Jagi, do you think I’m going to leave you?”

You stayed quiet. Your eyes were finally adjusting to the dark and you could see the concerned look in his eyes as he spoke. Each breath that fanned over your face only made you more anxious. A hand reached out to lace with yours, soothing you.

“Look, Jagi. I worry about us, too,” he said. He sighed. “Lord knows how often I talk about how much I worry about you to Sungyeol and Sungjong…”

He shook his head, looking into your eyes. You’re sure he could see you clearly now, too. “Nobody knows what will happen in the future. But one thing is for sure, no matter what, I will never, ever make you feel unwanted. Nothing is going to keep me from loving you. You hear me?”

His other hand wiped your cheek and placed a kiss there. “I love you and that’s that,” he whispered. He kissed the other cheek, not caring anymore about the tracks of tears. “You will never be alone.”

The tight feeling in your chest began to unravel as he said those words. He placed a soft kiss on your lips before embracing you once more, holding you tight against him. Your arms wrapped around him as well, never wanting to let go.

“I love you, Myungsoo.”

Sungjong-centric fanfic HELP!

Can someone help me find this awesome angst-yet-happy-OT7-ending fanfic. It's an old one that I read a year or so back. All I remember is Sungjong was having problems with himself and the hyungs didn't realise. Then they were at a broadcasting studio, Sungjong was sent to a different room to change because he didn't wanna change in front of Infinite, due to having scars all over his wrists and thighs. Then when he finished, he came out of the room to find that everyone's been evacuated because of a guy with a gun. Sungjong got out in the end but he got shot while running to his hyungs and was taken to hospital, where they all find out he's been self harming. The rest is ... you probably get the idea lol.

A/N: This is dedicated to @brittbrat2017 for being an amazing person and always telling me her story ideas and allowing me to turn them into fics! She is totally Infinite trash, but that’s okay, we are all trash in our own way! This is based off of the MV to Infinite’s song Back…well it’s my interpretation of it anyway, but basically I randomly saw this MV, I thought of Britt and had to write a fic about it. ~Enjoy~

Infinite was one of the most powerful gangs in Seoul. They get called a gang because they fight other gangs, but not for the reasons people think. They weren’t like most gangs, they didn’t sell drugs or guns, but rather they stopped people from doing those things. Infinite wanted to make the streets safer for the citizens of Seoul, they didn't want young kids getting addicted to drugs or to have access to weapons. They would call the police and reported an anonymous tip that drugs were being dropped, which did often lead to them getting arrested on purpose just to get the drug dealers caught. They police started to realize that they were helping the city and not causing havoc, so they became informants and moles for the police. Y/N was always so scared when the boys went out on one of their missions. You see, Y/N is Myungsoo’s sister, so she was always scared that one of the boys would be seriously hurt. Her worry grew when she got a call from the hospital 3 months ago saying that Hoya had been shot. 

~Flashback~ Y/N rushed into the hospital only to see the boys bloodied and bruised, laughing in the middle of the emergency room. “What happened?!” Y/N asked quickly. The boys looked at her and laughed again. Y/N looked down at herself only to realize that she was still in her pajamas. “Hey! Shut up and tell me what happened!” “Nothing much, just that they weren’t bringing in only drugs, but also guns and they weren’t happy we were there.” Dongwoo said with a grin. Y/N glared at them because of their lack of concern in this situation. “Seriously, Sis. It’s okay. We are fine.” Myungsoo said while trying to pull Y/N into a hug, but she pushed him away. “No hugs until you are washed and changed, that goes for all of you. How can you say that you are fine when Hoya is laying in a hospital bed with a gunshot wound?!” The boys all laughed and a doctor came in. He sees Y/N and bows to her and shakes her hand. “Hello, I am Dr. Jung. Mr. Hoya it looks like you’ll be cleared to leave once we get some stitches in that arm. You were lucky, if it had been a few centimeters over you would have to have some physical therapy to repair the muscle.” Everyone thanked the doctor and after Hoya was stitched up they headed home. ~End Flashback~

Y/N sighed and looked at the clock it read 1:26 AM, the boys had left 6 hours ago for what they called a “simple mission” and saying they would be back before midnight. Y/N tried not to worry, but she couldn’t help but feel like something was wrong. Y/N lay staring at the ceiling for what seemed like hours when she heard a series of knocks at the front door. She jumped up and ran to the front door, she looked through the peephole to see 2 police officers standing there. Y/N felt tears welling up in her eyes as she slowly opened the door. “What can I do for you officers?” “Are you Miss Y/N, sister of Kim Myungsoo?” “Yes, is he okay?” “I’m sorry, Miss, but we need you to come with us.” “O-Okay. Let me just grab my coat.” Y/N turned to grab her coat off the hook and her purse, when the house phone rang. Y/N looked at the caller I.D. and saw Myungsoo’s name. Y/N looked at the phone for a second before it hit her, these were not real cops and she was in trouble. She answers the phone but before she can say anything, one of the men grab her and she screams. “Myungsoo! Help!” “Shut up, bitch!” The man places a cloth over Y/N’s mouth and she tries to not breath it in but it’s no use. Y/N can faintly hear Myungsoo yelling through the phone before she blacks out.

~Myungsoo’s P.O.V.~ Dammit we told Y/N we would be home by midnight and here it is 1AM. We would have been home sooner if we hadn’t had to go to the police station to answer questions and to give statements about our recent mission. The only reason we had to give statements was because the target gang seemed to know we were coming and we were almost ambushed, luckily the police were already planning to accompany us on this mission. Long story short, the target gang ended up shooting some police officers and they also had some kind of trafficking thing going on. None of the police officers were seriously injured, but some did require surgery. Finally, around a quarter till 2AM we were finally able to leave. The boys and I get in the car exhausted and are so ready to get showered, eat some food then sleep. “Hey, you should probably call Y/N and let her know we are on our way. You know she always waits up for us to come home.” Sunggyu suggests. “Yeah, you’re right.” I pull out my phone and dial the house phone, knowing that the ringer will wake her up if she has fallen asleep on the couch, again. I put the speakerphone on and we hear the click of the phone being answered, but then we hear her screams. “Myungsoo! Help!” We all look at each other and Sunggyu starts to drive faster. “Y/N! Y/N! WHAT’S WRONG?!” “Shut up, bitch!” “Who was that?! Y/N!!” We hear shuffling before the line goes silent and as we round the corner to our house we see a SUV speeding away. Sunggyu speeds up ready to follow it when suddenly a garage truck pulls in front of us. “FUCK!! MOVE!!” Sunggyu screams while laying on the horn. I jump out of the car and run around the truck to see the SUV is gone. I drop to my knees and scream into the sky. Woohyun comes over and pulls me to my feet. “Don’t worry, we will find her.” Woohyun looks me dead in the eye and I can see that he and the other boys are also worried and hurt. I quickly call the detective we work with and tell him what has happened. Detective Hong comes to the house with a team to sweep for prints and other evidence to see if they can find out who did this. After collecting all they could, he says that there is nothing we can do until the kidnappers contact us, but that they will rush the tests to see if they can find these people.

~Y/N’s P.O.V.~ I wake up in a cold room, there is a cloth over my eyes, and my hands are hooked around what seems to be pipes. My body is sore and I can feel the stickiness of what I assume is blood on my clothes. Those bastards must have beat me while I was unconscious. I try to move but the restraints on my arms are too tight and my body is extremely sore. I sit in silence, nothing to do but pray my brother comes soon. Suddenly, the cloth is ripped off my head. I look up and see an older man looking at me, behind him are more guys and I can tell that they are obviously a gang. “Well, well, well, what do we have here? I think your brother should have spent more time teaching you not to open your doors at night or at least how to defend yourself. Poor thing. You do understand that this is your brother’s fault, right? If he and those punk friends of his hadn't ruined my operation then you wouldn’t be here right now.” He reached to touch my face and I jerked my head away. “Let’s send a little video to your brother shall we?” One of the guys in the back pulls out a camera and starts recording. “Hello boys. As you can see I have Y/N, she’s pretty isn’t she?” He pauses for a second before he slaps me hard across the face. “Listen carefully. I want you to come to *random address* and don’t think about going to the cops or else you won’t see your little sister alive again.” After they filmed the video they left, I kept trying to get my hands free and I was almost there. I stopped and decided that I need to save my energy. I eventually passed out, but I was woken up by the sound of fighting. I quickly tried to free my hands, but as soon as I did a guy burst into the room and grabbed me. I tried to get him off, but his grip was too tight. As I was fighting with the guy I see Sunggyu coming towards us. The guy noticed Sunggyu too and before he could come any closer a guy comes out of nowhere with a wooden board. “Sunggyu! Behind you!” Sunggyu was able to turn around and fight the guy off. The man started to drag me to what looked like the roof area. He threw me on the ground and suddenly more guys came running up, they were all poised to fight. Infinite came running onto the roof and saw me lying on the ground. The leader walked up to me and pulled a gun. “Now you can watch your sister die.” I quickly grabbed his arm and disarmed him as his men looked at me in shock. I grabbed the gun and he laughed. “Oh, so you do know how to defend yourself? Well, come on. Shoot me….Shoot me!” *BANG* The leader fell to the ground with a groan. I looked up and saw a police helicopter, guns trained on the bad guys. “Drop your weapons and put your hands in the air.” They all dropped the weapons and soon police officers were piling onto the roof. Infinite ran over to me and Myungsoo took me in his arms and we cried together. The other boys all pulled us into the middle of a giant hug and we all stayed like that for a while. We slowly pulled away and the boys hugged me one by one. Sunggyu was the last to hug me. “I’m so glad you’re okay. I was so worried about you. I don’t know what I would have done without you.” Sunggyu held me close and cried into my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him and buried my face into his chest. “Would you guys just kiss already?!” Sungjong screamed, causing Sunggyu to stiffen. We pulled away from each other and looked at the ground awkwardly. The boys all laughed and we see Detective Hong coming towards us. “I’m glad that went well and I am happy to see that you are okay, Y/N. There is an ambulance down stairs, I think you should go get checked out, it seems they did a number on you.” He tells me with a kind smile, I nod and start to make my way towards the exit. “Y/N, wait let me help you.” I look up and see Sungyeol coming towards me. He places an arm around my waist and basically carries me to the ambulance. They look at my wounds and suggest that I go to the hospital to make sure that no major damage was done. I only agreed since I know that once Myungsoo hears that I could have unseen injuries that he would make me go anyway. I see the boys coming to the ambulance and I tell Myungsoo that they want me to go to the hospital and he climbs in to ride with me. The boys all say that they will meet us there and we head to the hospital. “So, Sunggyu seemed like he didn’t want to let you go. He was also seemed more stressed out than I was when we got the video and I mean he kicked major ass to get to you.” Myungsoo said with a knowing smile. “Shouldn’t you be saying not to date your friend and how he is dangerous? Isn’t that what older brothers do?” Myungsoo laughs and looks at me fondly. “Nahh, he’s a good guy. He is a great hyung. Just know that if he hurts you I will not hesitate to kill him.” The paramedic looks at him with wide eyes. “It’s a joke, well partially. He really is a good guy.” I laugh and take his hand. “Thanks, I’m so glad to have your blessing.” We get to the hospital and they run a bunch of tests. Turns out I have a few broken ribs and minor bruising, they admitted me to the hospital for a few days to make sure there wasn’t any other issues.

~Third Person P.O.V.~ Y/N is sitting in the hospital messing around on her phone when someone knocks at the door. “Come in.” Y/N looks up and sees Sunggyu coming in with a giant teddy bear in his hands. “Hey, what are you doing here?” “Hi, I thought you might be bored. Also, I don’t like leaving you alone after what just happened. How are you feeling?” He places the bear on the bed and Y/N laughs as she pulls it to her and notices it is bigger than her. Sunggyu smiles and moves to sit next to her bed. “I feel fine, still a little sore, but I’m okay. OMG this bear is huge!” Y/N shoves he face into the bears chest and notices something. “Why does this smell like your cologne?” She looks at Sunggyu with an accusing look. “I thought it would comfort you and make sure you know that I always here for you.” He retorts boldly. Y/N blushes and hides her face in the bear, breathing in Sunggyu’s scent. “Y/N, I know you know how I feel about you. I just need to know how you feel about me.” Y/N looks at Sunggyu and sees that he is red as a tomato. He stares at the ground, obviously waiting for an answer with a look that is hopeful yet holds that hesitation of preparing for rejection. “You want to know how I feel about you? Well, I never want another girl to kiss or touch you and I don’t want to kiss or touch another man. So I think that means I like you too.” Sunggyu looks at Y/N with so much adoration and a smile that looks like it will tear his face in two. “You’re being serious? You’re not just messing with me?” Sunggyu asks quickly and Y/N has to laugh at his antics. “Yes, I am serious. I mean even Myungsoo gave us his blessing.” Sunggyu looks at her with wide eyes. “Wait, seriously? When did he do that?” Y/N nods and laughs loudly. “In the ambulance on the way to the hospital after you guys saved me.” Sunggyu laughs and takes Y/N’s hand. “So, does this mean that you’ll be my girlfriend?” “I would love to be your girlfriend, Sunggyu.” Sunggyu stands from his seat and bends over to give Y/N a kiss.

~Time Skip~ It’s been about 3 months since Y/N’s kidnapping and for the first few weeks the boys rarely let her out of their sights. Sunggyu was the worst, he never wanted Y/N to be alone for more than an hour and if she didn’t answer her phone he freaked out. They were all better now, especially since Y/N started taking self defense classes and she was excelling in them. Y/N was currently walking home from hanging out with some of her friends when she felt a presence behind her. Her could feel the person getting closer and she hopes that it was just someone jogging along the street. She knew she was wrong when an arm was thrown around her neck, her training kicked in and she launched the assailant over her shoulder onto the ground. When the person hit the ground they groaned and Y/N instantly recognized the voice. “Sungyeol! What are you doing?” Y/N quickly helps him up and she can hear the sound of people laughing. She looks up and sees the rest on Infinite dying of laughter. Sunggyu comes over and hugs her. “S-sorry, babe. We just wanted to se if those classes have been helping and Sungyeol volunteered to be the assailant…well more like victim.” Y/N pouts and looks at them. “You guys are mean.” “Awe, don’t be like that little sis. We’re just making sure you’re prepared for anything.” Y/N looks at Myungsoo and she quickly slaps him upside the head. “Were you prepared for that?” The boys all burst out laughing again while Myungsoo held his head and glared at Y/N. “Who’s being mean now?” Y/N sticks her tongue out him and turns to head home. The boys all race to catch up with her and Hoya ends up challenging them to a race. Y/N and Sunggyu watch as they run down the sidewalk. “Hey, I love you.” Sunggyu says while throwing an arm around Y/N. “I love you, too.” Y/N leans up on her tiptoes and places a kiss on Sunggyu’s lips.
