Misha needed time alone before shooting The Confession Scene to emotionally prepare so he secluded himself to a dark corner of set. One of the crew members noticed he needed space so he stood sentinel nearby to stop anyone from bothering him. When it was time to shoot he escorted Misha back and Misha was so touched because even though he didn't ask for the consideration he really needed it.

A little belated, but TAGHQ dropped their plans for this year’s Thunderbirds Day yesterday... which was a bit underwhelming, especially for TAG! fans...

In the UK there’s a TAG! tie-in at the Gulliver’s theme parks.

Also in the UK, at the Fanderson Supercelebration (20th-22nd September) they’re going to do a showing of TAG’s UK “lost” episode, Inferno. Which is kinda... ah... hm. Can I just lineface? I’ll just lineface. The event is very expensive and requires also the purchase of a sample membership (which lasts to the end of the year.) Given the... animosity towards TAG by a lot of that part of the fandom... imho this feels kinda... squandered? =/a

There’s also going to be some special, weekend of Thunderbirds Day only, merchandise on the Gerry Anderson website. (What exactly has not been revealed yet.)

Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be a Shout! Factory stream this year... instead it’s the Century 21 films who’ll be doing a stream on their Youtube channel of much of their Thunderbirds content for two weekends, including the 3 kickstarter 50th anniversary episodes and 3 new ones they’ve put together of the remaining three mini albums that retold several classic episodes by Scott, Penelope and Parker.

This was really sad to hear. Shane Rimmer, who was Canadian, was more than just the voice of Scott. He was a mainstay of British TV for many years, often appearing as supporting characters. He’d be that guy at the control panel, or the announcer’s voice on the radio playing over a scene, or a submarine captain helping James Bond defeat Stromberg, or an American politician having to deal with an uncontrollable UK prime minister in an alternate future.

He was best known for his long association with Gerry Anderson. Besides Thunderbirds, he was also the lead (and I believe co-creator) of The Investigator, an attempt to revive the Supermarionation concept in the early 1970s; he did the voice of Dick Spanner PI, and a decade before Space Precinct became a series, he played Det. Brogan in the pilot episode, Space Police. He also did assorted character voices for most of Anderson’s other Supermarionation shows as well as Space: 1999. Still active in the Anderson fan community, he was actually scheduled to appear at Fanderson’s Supercelebration con this fall.

He appeared in You Only Live Twice and The Spy Who Loved Me and did a voice over for Live and Let Die, and was in the Doctor Who story “The Gunfighters”, A Very British Coup, and more recently he made appearances in films like Batman Begins and Tim Burton’s remake of Dark Shadows. He also a writer, publishing a novel in 2014. I mean, this fellow had an impressive resume. And he will be missed.

Hope did, but she grew out of it. Which made her superhuman breakthrough in the Ashland Bombing, just before starting her freshman year at the University of Chicago, more than a little ironic. And now she has some decisions to make. 

Given the code-name "Astra" and invited to join the Sentinels, Chicago's premier super-team, will she take up the cape and mask and become a career superhero? Or will she get a handle on her new powers (super-strength has some serious drawbacks) and then get on with her life-plan? 

In a world where superheroes join unions and have agents, and the strongest and most photogenic ones become literal supercelebrities, the temptation to become a "cape" is strong. But the price can be high-especially if you're "outed" and lose the shield of your secret identity. Becoming a sidekick puts the decision off for awhile, but Hope's life is further complicated when The Teatime Anarchist, the supervillain responsible for the Ashland Bombing, takes an interest in her. 

Apparently as Astra, Hope is supposed to save the world. Or at least a significant part of it.

BREAKING NEWS BY CNA: ZOOMERS DEFACE UNIVERSITIES

SINGAPORE: The year is 2028 and in what many analysts and commentators have described as anachronistic, students in National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), University of Waterloo Unkin (UWU) and Singapore Management University (SMU) defaced university properties with politically derogatory slogans. The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has identified the perpetrators to be part of a cult named YaCult. According to images gathered by our on surface team, a common symbol - a crude drawing of what seems to be a Yakult bottle with the name “YaCult” replacing the Yakult logo, accompanied by three words we are not legally allowed to mention - was present after each slogan. 

Today, in a parliament session, PM Lee condemned the attacks, calling them a “disgrace to the nation” and “bruh”. 20 other Members of Parliament, most notably PAP MP Jack Neo of Tanjong Pagar GRC, have come out condemning the attacks as “not cool, bro”.
