Thinking about how, at the end of the day, at the fatal moment, the sunset of the Republic, it wasn’t Yoda, or Obi-Wan, or even the Chosen One himself standing in the way of Palpatine. It was Mace Windu.

Mace Windu, the inventor of Vaapad and Master of Form VII, the Jedi's strongest duelist, the only person to ever defeat Palpatine in combat. Mace Windu, Master of the Jedi Council and the youngest Master ever appointed to it, the revered leader of the Order. Mace Windu, who forgave even those who tried to kill him, who risked his life over and over again for his troops, who, after 3 years of desperate war, tried to negotiate with battle droids. Mace Windu, who knew the clones were created by the Sith and chose to trust them, who saw every Shatterpoint in the Republic, and loved it still, and fought for it until his last breath, until he was betrayed by Anakin, who he believed in and trusted despite everything.

Mace Windu, High General and hero of the Republic, the embodiment of the Light, the last and greatest champion of the Order, the best Jedi to ever live.

the whole idea of skybridger get me every damn time because they are literally two sides of the same coin. Same birthday, twin suns and twin moons. Nature and nurture. one who fought from the day they were born and never saw the peace he brought about. the other who lived in a blissful tranquility, but won the battle the rest of the world started. They have the same friends, the same cause, but the thing about parallel lines is that…

they were never ment to meet. Reflections face each other but never can exist in the same plane. Heads and tails are on the opposite sides of the coin. To me, what makes them so effortlessly beautiful is that they are soulmates, in a sense, but two halfs that cannot, and will not meet. They are one and the same, at the right place in the right time, but even then they are meant to be separate.

I think one of my favorite things about Rey's vibe in the reylo ship we know and love is simply this-

She just about tries to kill Luke immediately following the Smut Hut scene.

Up until now, Rey has tried so hard to feel only animosity towards Kylo...but the SECOND she finds out that Luke threatened and TERRIFIED him when Ben was young...and that his uncle turning against him played a huge role in Ben falling to the Dark Side...This girl chases Luke down, screams at him, and slices at him with that weapon like she's out for BLOOD.

Like...Rey thinks of Ben being betrayed and cast out by his own family - when she too was abandoned by her own family (I choose to ignore TROS so TLJ is cannon 😅 Rey Nobody > Rey Palpatine) - and she RAGES with the strength of a thousand suns.

Rey feels Kylo's pain and she wants to defend him. Because she sees how alike they are, deep down, and Rey also knows that she's drawn to him...no matter how hard she tries to fight it.

She then confidently tells Luke that she can bring Kylo back to the Light with the power of her love and scolds him for ever giving up on his nephew. I mean???

That moment is one of the times I feel the reylo REALLY pours outta Rey so I just had to give it another round of applause lol

Like, Rey, did you forget that you're supposed to hate him?? Hahhaha.
