Band of Brothers Characters as...Moomin Characters?

Okay so bear with me...I've been going on (and on) about BoB and my kiddo in an attempt to relate has paired them with various Moomin characters. We think it works? For your consideration:

-Malarkey: Moomintroll (earnest, a sweetheart, brave)

-Luz: Sniff (caring, funny, also a sweetheart)

-Liebgott: Little My (kind of a little shit, absolute chaos, a good heart underneath it all)

-Webster: Snorkmaiden (very pretty & knows it, well-intentioned, bad at social cues)

-Eugene: Toffle (cares too much, doesn't always know how to get close to those he cares about, very sad)

-Babe: Miffle (sunshine for Toffle, just a little ray of joy, the biggest heart)

-Spiers: Joxter (a cat in human form, kind of murderous, stealing destruction of property)

-Lipton: Moominmama (extremely chill, very caring, a little bit of an enabler of chaos)

-Nix: Snufkin (snarky, not against the doing of crimes per se, pensive)

-Winters: Snork (extremely capable, overwhelmed in social situations, very observant)

-Sobel: The Hemulen (Just kind of annoying)

-Hitler: The Groke (Looming Evilness, technically the antagonist but not directly present for our heroes)

-Germany: The Hattivatti/Hattifatteners (They are just there taking over everything)

Steven Universe songs as the Moomins because the two surprisingly coincide

On the Run- Little My decides to run away from home after she overhears Mama and Papa seemingly talking about giving her back to Mymble (she misunderstood). Little My is Amethyst, and pretty cross with the Moomin parents. Moomintroll is Steven, and just going along with Little My because "running away from home" for a day seemed fun. He just vibing-

Love like you - Snufkin thinking about Moonmintroll. It's just a very Snufkin song, imo. "When I see the way you act, wondering when I'm coming back or When I see the way you look, shaken by how long it took/I could do about anything/I could even learn how to love like you" COME ONNNN ITS SO THEEM

Peace and Love on Planet Earth - Snufkin or Moomintroll (or both) trying to teach Stinky the value of Nature and their precious planet. I love to imagine the song's ending as every member of the Moomin clan repeating the title lyrics.

Jam Song - Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden are on a picnic. They make up the song while eating the food Moominmama prepared for them. Little My is in a bush audibly gagging and Sniff is trying to find a way to steal their plan. Maybe Snufkin's there too providing the melody.

Be Wherever You Are - Snufkin shows someone the beauty of traveling and camping. That someone could be the Moomin gang (the kids), Ms. Fillyjonk, the Woodies, etc. Pick your favorite, basically.

I'd Rather Be Me (With You) - Moomintroll opening his heart to his sweetheart... I can really imagine Moomin in this song, idk. Now who he's singing it to? Snufkin? Snorkmaiden? You choose :]

Don't Cost Nothing - is it a stretch to imagine The Joxter singing this to a baby Snufkin? The idea that they don't need any big riches, or material possessions because they have each other and that's all he needs? I find the idea cute, at least.

Here Comes A Thought - Little My does something that makes her feel really guilty. Moominmama guides My through her emotions, teaching her how to deal with the situation. This is one of my favorite ideas from this list. And listening to the song, I can imagine it fitting so well.

Both of You - I'm going deep into shipping territory with this one, but I imagine Snorkmaiden and Snufkin as Pearl and Greg. Their friendship is torn apart because they both love Moomin, but Moomin chooses Snufkin at the end. And just like Pearl, Snorkmaiden was the 1st choice, eventually "replaced" by Snufkin. Moomin could be Steven, trying to get them to make up. He can't stand 2 of the most important people in his life to be upset at each other over him.

Comet - Young Moominpapa. Young Moominpapa. Young Moominpapa. I can just imagine a young Papa in this song, with all his dreams of grandeur and adventure!

Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star) - I think Snorkmaiden would love this song. It would be her self-confidence anthem!

I Could Never Be (Ready) - another Papa Joxter idea. It's a lot of fun to imagine The Joxter struggling to learn how to take care of a baby Snufkin in the Mymble's house.

True Kinda Love - Estelle's voice gives me Moominmama vibes. And so does this song. It's just the right amount of comfort and softness and good advice.

Independent Together - just overall Snufkin vibes all around. Which might sound weird because of the "together" part. But idk. Vibes are vibes. And I sense his in this song.

Some of these seem like a stretch, but idc. Moomins and SU seem like such an obvious connection now.

Really good Snorkmaiden stuff from season 2:

- Basically shoving Moomintroll out of the way to chase after some dude she’s caught sight of from afar in the past five seconds, lmao. Good for her. - “Wheeee, this is EASY” - Upon seeing Moomintroll worried something’s happened to Snufkin in the volcano, her response is “Awww don’t worry I think your rescue missions are really heroic” like sdjfdkf, Snorkmaiden, sweetheart, I don’t think that is the issue here. - The way she immediately clocks that Pappa wrote that poem. Don’t try and pull this, Moomintroll, she knows what’s up. - The fact she’s really naturally good at sports and physical stuff? Let her SKI. - Her and Little My cackling over Moomintroll being a melodramatic dumbass. - Her being really delighted when Little My crashes her and Moomintroll’s date - Gutsy, are you really trying to convince me she doesn’t know what the word ‘fugitive’ means? I’m not buying it.

For the Moomins ask... Conflict resolution for Snufkin x Moomin x Snorkmaiden?

Well to start, we would have to address the conflict that these three face already, that being still unsure of how to handle their feelings for each other and how to even start such a relationship.

Snorkmaiden and Moomin started dating or at least formally addressing how much they love each other without Snufkin but this is probably due to the two of them being more open to starting a relationship while Snufkin might be more scared to do so due to a fear of being tied to one place forever (he has address time and time again that he needs time to himself ever so often and a need to adventure by himself). Still, Moomin falls for Snufkin like he falls for Snorkmaiden when he gets to know both of them better and love them for who they are. And it’s not an uneven love either, he loves them both greatly and equally. He just doesn’t realize he can date them both (maybe due to not hearing of such a relationship or maybe thinking it’s only okay to date females but males can only be close friends - it was a tale written back in a time when even a slightly different relationship was shamed on sadly) and he might also think he is being selfish to ask to be in a romantic relationship with the both of them.

The funny thing is that both Snorkmaiden and Snufkin do have crushes with each other. I know that others might argue that they don’t but I truly believe they do. They both clearly see each as very attractive and do enjoy each other’s company and also can’t deny what wonderful personalities they have. Plus they both do what they can to make Moomin happy, something I’m sure they love having in common.

The problem on Snufkin’s side is that even though he loves Moomin, he would never want to have Moomin break up with Snorkmaiden to have him all to himself. He knows Moomin loves Snorkmaiden deeply and would miss her love if they broke up. Also, he realizes that if he was the only sweetheart of Moomin than it would only break Moomin’s heart even more whenever he would need time to himself and especially when he has to leave for winter.

The problem on Snorkmaiden’s side is that she does indeed get jealous but this is not due to any hatred or dislike she feels to Snufkin. The problem is that she is afraid of not being good enough for Moomin. Snorkmaiden loves being a lady that is full of beauty and grace. However, she has to fight against worldly views on what exactly is beautiful and graceful and how she doesn’t “fit those standards.” We should try to ignore such hurtful opinions and not take them as facts but those can be scaring to one’s feelings and even leave feelings of doubt and insecurities in one’s heart.

Back to the fact that Snorkmaiden and Snufkin do have crushes on each other doesn’t mean that they are completely in love with each other. Not yet at least. They are very close but not there yet. They most definitely will fall in love with each other once they have time alone together to know each other even more without getting distracted by making sure Moomin is having a good time. That’s why I see them going on an adventure to find/save Moomin together. Of course, Sniff and Little My would come along since they do care for Moomin but the main heroes would be Snorkmaiden and Snufkin. After all, during the Comet in Moominland, Snufkin and Snorkmaiden were able to think of effective ways to save each other and Moomin whenever they fell into a dangerous grip of a monstrous creature.

They’ll plan together, fight together, work together, share what they love about Moomin, and eventually fall for each other like how Moomin fell in love with both of them. At that point, their big conflict would be their fear to express their feelings for each other and their fear that doing so would only cause problems than resolutions. They are still young and very selfless so they might think they are doing more good by keeping their feelings in secret.

But all that love can’t be contained forever and I’m sure after some disagreements, arguments, confessions, and even advice from others like Moominmamma (maybe even Mymble and Joxter since they have a relationship but not like other relationships and still love each other and don’t seem to care what others might think of them, which I have to say very good for them), they’ll finally admit how they feel for each other and realize that they aren’t bad for feeling the way they do and will finally feel free to be together. Some great resolutions happen after lots of arguing and deep thinking.

They might face problems along the process of their relationship like disapproval from others but the fact that they have a great loving family like the Moomins and love and respect for each other, they have a great chance of keeping a long, healthy, and especially happy loving relationship.

But that’s just how I see the conflict resolution happening between these three wonderful characters who I really believe will make and have a great relationship together 💕
