Playing with some semi realistic paintings of my leader ship positions in my fan clans. Heavy on the semi. Not used to painting without a reference so yknow not perfect but fuck it.

Shrikestar is leader of Swiftclan, she’s a nervous, motherly figure who likes to talk through her thoughts before she makes hard and fast decisions.

Mosswhisker is her deputy - a bubbly and confident young cat who is a touch naive, but he balances Shrikestar with his optimism and character.

Had a bit of an identity crisis at a young age. The SwiftClan leader before him was a strict, serious cat, so Larkstar thought it would be best if he acted the same. The stress of pretending wasn’t good for him at all.

Looks great for being middle aged.

Named his kids after birds because he thought it was funny.

About Sycamoreclan!

Hello clangen enthusiasts! To be clear I’m not doing an entire clangen drawing challenge about this clan (especially since I’m nearly on my 300th moon with them) but since I’ve already posted the founders drawing I thought I’d fill you all in. I’m mostly going to be focusing on aesthetics and the basics of the clan:

First off, I choose this lovely camp type:

Going off of this and the name I choose, I picture it as a green mossy forest littered with large sycamore trees. It’s shady with a rocky ground covering. Only thin beams of light pass through thick canopies of ancient branches.

Sycamoreclan cats hunt squirrels, mice, and voles primarily. And must worry about the badgers, red and grey foxes, and dogs around them.

Their neighbouring clans are Wetclan, Whirlclan, Morningclan, and their on and off rivals Swiftclan. I’ve used a fantasy map creator to outline their territory here:

Sycamoreclan and Swiftclan often fight over a smaller grove of trees divided from ordinary Sycamore territory by a river, but not yet into Swifts mountain range.

Above is the generated backstory of the clan a warrior told their apprentice on patrol. And my drawing of the founding cats.

The remnants of the once-mighty StrikeClan, SwiftClan, and SneakClan, whose original territories were lost to a devastating, strange onslaught of fungi (ophiocordyceps unilateralis) that swept through the ranks of the former three Clans, infecting many and leaving little behind. Those who did survive managed to band together and flee to the mountains, taking on the name DawnClan as a marker of their history, for the time in which they officially fled destruction, and to indicate the dawning of their new way of life. Working together has already proven to be a task not easily undergone, however, even within the very first moon of their creation, what with them having to acclimate to new Clanmates, new leadership, new neighbors, and a new territory, amongst so much more…

Enter: DawnClan x2! :D A new ClanGen that I’m sticking with this time hshjdjf. It’s going to be entirely out of my hands, run solely by various generators and the ClanGen game itself! I’m just going to sit back and observe, watch them grow, and document it (while filling in the gaps for story purposes,, or renaming various litters bc I love themed litters ^^) for our collective viewing pleasure!

Fire is Tigerclawstar's son au questions: If Fire survives Swift's rebellion, and if the destruction of the forest still happens will they still move to the lake? Would Lynx give Fire a life in his nine lives ceremony? Actually who gives him his lives this go round? And once they reach the lake, would the clans sort of separate again? Maybe they see tge destructionof the forest as punishment for turning 3 clans into 1? Maybe Swift and Twany recreate Shadowclan? And of course, Misty leaves with whatever is left of Riverclan? Swiftstar and Mistystar and Firestar. How would the lake territories be split with Windclan gone?

Firestar's Lives

I think the whole ceremony would be a very strange one, because the clans have been changed forever. StarClan WANTS the separation of Clans, but I think if they DID split, it would end up leading to such infighting that it would threaten to destroy them all.

So, the lives they give are mostly diplomacy-based, begging him to bring peace to the inherited TigerClan.

Bluestar; Mercy, what she taught him as an apprentice

Graystripe; Justice, for saving his kits and preventing Mistyfoot's death.

Lynxkit; Love, for love's sake, to never think you can waste kindness.

Spottedleaf; Consideration. She appears with every cat who dies to illness and infection while ThunderClan had no medicine cat. To remember that his actions affect everyone, never catch innocents in the crossfire.

Cinderpaw, who was probably one of those who died; Trust. Because she knows he will need it after all he's been through.

Deerfoot; I'm going to take a leaflet from my rewrite and use him as one of the rebels that Fire can work with. He died refusing to rat out his accomplices. For resistance, to always do what you can.

Leopardstar, who Tigerstar definitely offed at some point to consolidate power; Wisdom. Never be fooled by sweet lies.

A BloodClan cat that Firestar got close to; Curiosity. To remember that there's always more to learn.

I think it would be really cool if Tigerstar himself was the last one, honestly, though I can't see him NOT getting Dark Forested... but he IS the new founder of TigerClan LMAO It would be very funny. His.... is Ruthlessness. To do what must be done, carving a path into the future... even if it's through the ones you love.

The Lake

I think if the Clans were consolidated, it would be less likely that TigerClan leaves. There's probably a small amount of cats that stay behind and form WarriorClan.

Swift's Coup probably happens AT the lake, replacing Mudclaw's Rebellion but successfully breaking TigerClan into two groups.

Following the name scheme, they'd become FireClan and SwiftClan. Or, they could become LionClan and LeopardClan.

The territories would probably end up divided with RiverClan and ShadowClan's territory going to FireClan, and WindClan and ThunderClan territory going to SwiftClan. But there would be a LOT more fighting between the groups and more shifting borders.

It makes sense that Tawny joins Swift, and Bramble joins Fire. There would probably be succession problems, though, if Fire or Swift had heirs who could get in the way of Tawny or Bramble's ambitions...

or god if Hawk and Moth showed up to complicate things.

Furledbadger was silently panicking in her nest after announcing her pregnancy to the clan luckily she invoked the right of queens and kits so the clan thinks it was just a loner in order to repopulate the clan….she would be chased out if the clan ever found out these kits were the former leader of error clan name not found] clan…..weird why can’t she remember the clans name..? No matter if frogstar ever found out she has the now loner fallenstars kits she would be killed on the spot

She passes by the clearly love struck sporeice laughing at olivefoots horrible joke about the cave mouse again chuckling at the clearly loverstruck female but not before glaring at Steven …this loner was found by frogstar and was allowed to join the clan as a cleric even though the cat was clearly vengeful and joined the clan for another reason…and if she didn’t it made her more replaceable she quietly glared at the other shecat as yellownose went off to tend to their grave yard together “I miss my mentor…” yellownose sighed looking over thorntails buriel bit not before shouting “AHH” Furledbadger turned around in a frantic fear before realising that the deputy just got a thorn stuck in their paw they sighed angrily “come here you big kitten” she grumbled approching the Tom

The moon shone full and brightly over the valley. There wasn’t a cloud to be seen, and the whole of silverpelt seemed to be shimmering merrily above the gathering of cats as they tangled together in the junkyard. The sounds of friends greeting friends and cheerful mews made the air sing like the sweetest of birds.

A good omen, Fernstar thought to himself, watching from his perch. It has to be. 

Tonight was the first gathering that the cats of the valley had been able to have for moons. A harsh, stormy leafbare and an even stormier newleaf had kept them all confined to their camps, huddling together for warmth and survival. Fernstar thanked the stars above for his clan’s strength and fortune. Their caves had been more than safe enough to weather the hardships of the seasons. But even he couldn’t deny that with the warm winds of greenleaf, he’d felt his clan’s energy resurge. 

A good omen.

“Ah, Fernstar, there you are.” A light voice mewed from behind him. Fernstar turned to see Larkstar’s sleek black pelt melt out of the shadowy reeds. Bright green eyes glimmered kindly in the moonlight. The older cat dipped his head in greeting, “It's been far too long, hasn't it?”

Fernstar huffed a laugh, sitting up with a stretch before leaping down to join his fellow leader. “Oh, you made it through leafbare, then? Tsk. And here I was, so hoping for a chance to tease Hollyclaw again.”

“My deputy is a good cat, but not nearly as patient as I am.” Larkstar mewed, his voice amused. “As much as I’m sure you two have missed clawing each other’s egos to bits, that’s a match for another time. Now, how has your first season as a leader been treating you?”
