Unit Teambuilding - Sygna Suit Mina
You know.  I am notoriously anti-Gen 7 at this point, and a major part of that is not really liking the characters that aren’t Aether Fam or Kukui.  Even Hau’s just kinda alright.  And when it comes to characters I feel do nothing for me, Mina’s up there.  So this?  This is a weird choice to me.
General Overview Mina comes in with Tapu Fini as a Fairy-type support.  Her role is setting Fairy Zone on entry and having extension of that effect, which is divine.  She reduces all special damage for the team by 30%, which is kinda nuts, and raises both defenses of all allies by 1 stage when a field effect is set.  Hoping that includes entry.  Her other use is Rain Dance.  So we have a dual-field effect setting support, like C!Calem.   Let's see if this went any better.  Her main use, I think, is the +6 special attack from trainer move if it's raining.  This, combined with Gradual Healing and her Buddy move that applies Damage Guard to the team and buffs defenses, is really nice.  Buddy Protect is hilarious to completely block the AoE Sure Crit moves that flood gauntlet, or to stop an opponent's sync nuke from hitting too hard in CS.  We'll talk those applications eventually.
The oddity of Mina is that she's a support without a specific cause.  No sync pair in the game needs Fairy Zone and Rain.  Her utility is therefore limited to either Zone or Rain, and the other aspect is incidental.  With SS Kris, Mina cannot compete with Rain.  Kris is just the outright better option in literally every team comp imaginable.   Fairy Zone is more Mina’s calling.  And she’s...honestly pretty poor at it.  +6 special attack on turn 2 is nice and all, but Team Sharp Entry as her only crit buffing leaves a lot to be desired.  Among Fairies, this helps Bede and especially Diantha, but it doesn’t cap crit for Valerie, P!Dawn, or P!Serena, and while it’s decent for Summer Lyra’s sync, she isn’t helping with the physical attack that is Lyra’s main source of DPS.  And without any attack boosting, she’s not very useful for S!Marnie, base Mina, and NY!Lisia.  Assisting only two options out of nine in your primary type is...honestly poor performance.  Like girl, that’s insanely bad.
As a result, Mina feels more like a generalist for special attackers with Dire Hit+ than she does a good Fairy Zone support.  And you may note, Mina does not provide stacks of moves up next like Acerola does.  Instead, she gives +1 defenses per field effect, which is really slow acting and rather unimpressive.  But because of this, Mina is not someone who emphasizes taking first sync and powering up DPS like Acerola.  Mina’s good for allies who do want sync.  Which means she works great with Diantha, like all of the Fairy Zone setters do.
Move Level and EX? Like all of the Tapu, the value of 1/5 is actually quite high.  Mina gets a lot of what she wants right away, with 3/5 realistically offering just Team Sharp Entry and application of Fairy Zone every sync.  Both of which are good, but Adrenaline would've been exceptional at 2/5, thanks to taking a turn off to second sync, potentially allowing it to be under Terrain, but instead it's 4/5 as if that'll help.  5/5 doesn't really offer anything of value.  Synchro Healing is fine, but it's...not important.  As for EX, while Mina is a support and it's a good idea, some of her better partners are going to want to take first sync, meaning she won't see a ton of use from it.
Team 1: SS Mina, Diantha, Bede Okay. Right away, I have to caution, this could run into serious gauge issues. Could.  I don't know for sure that it will, but uh.  It seems likely.  That said, Mina and Diantha are wonderful together.  Mina provides much-needed Zone, tops off special attack in a single action under Rain, and has Team Sharp Entry to save Diantha a turn buffing.  By turn 2, Diantha is firing Moonblast.  Bede is chosen because he keeps pace on the special attack debuffs, having AoE that hits -2 each time.   Diantha's sync nuke is perfectly set up in this time.
Team 2: SS Mina, Lodge May/Barry, Lucian/Clemont For Rain, Mina supplements Lodge May fairly well.  Team Sharp Entry is exactly enough to save one of her trainer moves for SEUN later in a match, and +6 special attack means May starts blasting right away.  Rain support is of course valuable for any Water-type striker, while the role compression allows Lucian to debuff special defense and speed up the team.  I'd also like to shout out Barry, who gets the exact special attack needed, and with any speed debuffer, gets his full sync investment going.
Team 3: SS Mina, SS Leon, Anni Raihan Okay, let's talk some fun.  Buddy Protect applies Damage Guard to all allies. Usually, this is consider a quick block of any DPS move.  Great for Gauntlet blocking Sure Crit, but oft forgotten for blocking half of all sync damage.  In CS, that means you can stack -2 and -1 sync cooldown, and guarantee the foe syncs without too much gained from attacks.  Damage Guard practically ensures survival.  Which leads to the big guns.  SS Leon is not exceptional, but gets substantially stronger when the foe has used sync.  Mina saves a turn of his buffing with Dire Hit+, and supplies all special attack needed, allowing Leon to set up his speed and crit to cap for full Inertia sync buffed power.  Anni Raihan is chosen for matched theme skills, potential special defense drops with Mind Boggler, and most importantly, SEUN on trainer move, to really power up Leon's sync to full strength.
Team 4: SS Mina, Giovanni/Gardenia, Bianca/Blaine Fun fact: nothing says she has to stick to her own effects.  While she has skills that emphasize it, it's not essential.  Which means, so long as allies can buff +2 crit, they're in working order, and you can supply whatever needed field effect you want.  So yes, she can operate with someone like Giovanni or Gardenia. Giovanni is an emphasis on "let ally take first sync," while Gardenia lets Mina take it for better DPS.
Final Thoughts I think Mina's odd.  Like, I go back and forth on the ranking for the Tapu, and have kinda landed on “Mina’s the second best,” but largely for reasons associated with her general toolkit rather than her specifics.  As a Zone setter, she’s really kind of awful.  Lack of serious crit buffing and no attack buffs at all leaves the majority of her type unsupported.  And as a Rain support, Kris absolutely destroys her as a special buffer, and Calem at least has the physical options on lock, so she lacks any defined niche.  Which kinda has me feeling like maybe she’s actually worse than Hau.  There’s a legitimate argument for that being the case.  And even I’m not entirely sold on her being better.  I think all the Tapu really wound up seeming more interesting than they actually are.  The more I dig, the more I’m like man.  This seemed really fun for something that has a lot of conceptual weaknesses.
Still gonna pull.  I love me some field effects.

[Pokémas datamine spoilers ahead]
The more I think about it, the more I reeeally like the choices they made for the Alola VA alts - both in terms of who got them and who didn't get them.
I mean, the four characters who are getting VA alts - Hau, Lana, Acerola, and Mina - are all Alola natives and Trial Captains, or in Hau's case, grandson of the current kahuna. So, to see them teaming up with the island guardians - and their battle theme being a remix of the island kahuna theme - is a symbolic way of saying "these are the future kahunas, the guardian deities have already accepted them, Alola will be safe in their hands". We're not gonna have a repeat of what happened with Hapu, where the previous kahuna dies and the island goes without a kahuna for a bit because the island guardian doesn't think there's anyone suited for the position yet.
And it's especially satisfying to see that happen to Hau, because he's always dreamed of becoming an island kahuna like his grandpa, but his attitude at the beginning of his journey - that he only battles for fun and doesn't care if he wins or loses - is honestly not a great attitude for someone who's supposed to be the protector of his island to have. So, the fact that Tapu Koko has acknowledged him demonstrates that Hau has matured as a person and is worthy of being a guardian. (And the fact that becoming a kahuna is important to his character arc specifically is probably why he's the only one whose sygna suit resembles the outfit of one of the current kahunas.)
Meanwhile, since Selene and Elio aren't even from Alola and Gladion doesn't even take the island challenge (outside of the anime), there wouldn't be any significant meaning, symbolic or otherwise, to them teaming up with the Tapus. And it feels appropriate for all the VA units to be with Tapus instead of, say, Hau getting a Tapu while the others just get random UBs or dupe legendaries.
Plus, the fact that Elio, Selene, and Gladion aren't getting alts now makes it highly likely that they'll get Neo Champion alts in the future. And that feels especially appropriate, too. After all, Elio/Selene is the first Champion of Alola in the core series games, on top of being the first of protag to actually take the position of Champion instead of just getting the title and still having to fight the old Champion in rematches. So it feels especially unfair for them to get their status as Champion revoked by Pokémas's "we can't acknowledge that the protagonist beat the Champion" policy.
Meanwhile, Gladion is a title defense challenger in both SM and USUM, and it feels like an excellent demonstration of his character growth for him to participate in a competition where there are no stakes and it genuinely doesn't matter whether he wins or loses. Because to me, Gladion's character arc is the opposite of Hau's - where Hau learns that sometimes he really does need to take battles seriously, Gladion learns that it's okay to take it easy and just battle for fun sometimes. The old Gladion wouldn't have bothered to try in a competition where there's nothing for him to gain, so him being able to succeed in a Neo Champion tournament would really demonstrate how he's grown.
Sooo...yeah. Good choices, DeNa!

Suppose DeNA ultimately incorporates the Let’s Go kids into Masters (Chase, Elaine, Trace, and maybe even Green). How would you go about incorporating them to exist alongside the FRLG Pallet trio?
Hi there @ether-gearhead!
Oooh this is a good and tough question! I feel like DeNA is going to likely pull a Johto where they just sort of combine FRLG and Let's Go together like they did with Crystal and HGSS. By that I mean Kris just exist alongside Ethan and Lyra's in the same universe and kind of having her own thing I will say it's a much easier task to do this with Kris because she has the benefeit of the Pokespe manga being able to inform some of her character since in Pokespe she works with Oak and we see her conversing with him a lot in Pokemas and she was searching for Suicune in the manga which again informed her partner for her Sygna Suit. Let's go isn't going to be as seamless of an addition because they truly exist in a different timeline as: 1) The first Kantrio female protagonist is named Green and not Leaf 2) The first Kantrio have a different starter and team composition 3) Chase/Elaine take the place of Red's role in Let's Go being the one to defeat Team Rocket and capture Mewtwo (if we add Origins into this) 4) Trace takes the place of Blue as the surprise champion who gets defeated soon after While Pokemon Masters is definitely a multiverse crossover (especially with the addition of Ash from the anime) I feel like Let's Go's cast is a little harder to integrate since from the PML league, various smaller stories, and the Kanto Villain arc they really hyped up Red as this living legend who defeated Team Rocket and became champion by taking down his true rival Blue. It gets referenced so much that I don't know if they'd be that eager to try a mulitversal counterpart for that scenario, especially when the reception of the Let's Go cast isn't as great unfortunately. And while I can see them adding Green to the mix, I feel like with Leaf already being shafted (she needs another alt I'm hoping she gets a Neo Champion one or something) it would just further hurt Leaf. All this to say (as a long aside)...this is Gamefreak's fault for being too chicken to just go all in on making Let's Go a true sequel and not this halfway reimagining/halfway sequel thing. Because the idea of Red, Blue and Green/Leaf being mentors to a younger squad of Pallet Town kids is fantastic. With a younger Mina appearing in Let's Go and Adult versions of Red and Blue appearing in SM/USUM I think it would've been wiser to just have had Adult Red and Blue with an adult female protagonist (doesn't matter if they name her Leaf or Green) appear in Let's Go as mentors and have Chase/Elaine and Trace take on a new story set in Kanto. Like center it on Meltan/Melmetal and Shadow Pokemon from remnants of Team Rocket (to tie in with Pokemon Go). Maybe since Trace shows that he's easily frightened, make him already a champion (like how they did Nemona) but his lack of courage and at times unwillingness to push his Pokemon in situations be the reason why Chase/Elaine have to step in...which ultimately ends in him losing the title. But since Red and Blue would be adults here, perhaps at some point they run into Kukui and learn about his dream for Alola and we see them decide to go be facility heads for the Battle Tree. And then in the post-game we see Blue handing the reigns of the Viridian City gym to Trace (who I think could be a good successor). They could even with this add more of a plot to the female protagonist. Maybe she decides to stay in Kanto to help the kids out...or maybe she teases traveling to some other region.
That, in my opinion, would've been a way better use of the new kids while giving the first Kantrio some time to shine. And most importantly, it would've made adding the Let's Go kids to Pokemon Masters way more seamless. And more lucrative for DeNA since a more original story would've enhanced the popularities of Trace, Elaine and Chase. But unfortunately that didn't happen I think if DeNA does add them, given what's actually canon for them, I think they may just focus more on Alolan/Kanto variants of Pokemon. Like an event where Alola and Kanto characters (mainly Let's Go) compare variants. Trace has the Marowak so they could have a battle with him and Kiawe and his Alolan Marowak. I could see them just combining Green's character into Leaf and giving her a Ninetales and then giving Lillie an Alola Ninetales (as a nod to the anime) and have them face off. They could then give Chase/Elaine Kantonian Golem and Dugtrio against Alolan Dugtrio (Molayne) and Alolan Golem (Sophocles). They could also use Meltan/Melmetal for a Let's Go event, but I could honestly see them doing an Ash Alt for that since he has Melmetal (if Ash does get more Alts, a Melmetal and Greninja alt are the most likely ones in my opinion). If they were to give it to the let's go kids I can see them doing it for any one of them honestly.

A new Message from the Master Team!
Tumblr media
Acerola is our Lodge Pair for this month starting May1.
You can save and load your selected options for Master Mode in the Champion's Stadium.
Past Master Pairs will be rerun periodically on Masters Day and other special occasions going forward. This month is Giratina and Cynthia:
Tumblr media
Alola VA starts Apr28, with the second part added mid-May. (So I guess no UB Pairs or Gladion/Elio/Selene Sygna Suits. That's unfortunate. Complaints aside, since Friday is Roy's debut in Horizons, I'll probably talk about the new villain arc Saturday.) They say only a few Chapters left, but I'm hoping for a good number of Chapters between Rose being added and the conclusion. (Edit, I stg I can't type to save my life.)
EX Solgaleo and MC. The EX will be worn with other Pairs as well.
Here's the rundown on Hau and Mina. I might decide to go for them both, or some mix of the other Pairs, but they're all probably running until Jun1 and we'll have our next datamine by then:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
50mil downloads worldwide celebration! To celebrate, you can get a 3000 gem present from login bonuses, and 1000 from a bingo rally! There's also a Pokefair guaranteeing one of (probably these three, but not 100% sure here) Pokefair Scouts for 3k paid gems.
Tumblr media
A new Fashion Week solo event. Will have a unique Scout banner that offers half-off for the first multi-scout and offers Champion Spirit and 5⭐ Powerups as presents.
New Trainer File event featuring Agatha and Lance. They have Arbok and Dragonair respectively.
Return of the Magikarp Egg Event (Pasio Gold Rush) and Time Trial Events. (I saw a Raihan banner so it's probably his.)
New Battle Content incoming. It focuses on a certain type and the goal is to get as high a score as you can within a set number of battles. The key to boosting your score is having a team comprised of that type. Some rules will be set to increase your score, and then the difficulty will increase dramatically as you try to get higher scores.
New message will be out in late May!
Edit, here's the event schedule via Reddit!

Pull Priorities for Alola Villain Arc:
Sygna Suit Lana
Sygna Suit Acerola
Sygna Suit Hau
Sygna Suit Mina
Definitely getting Lana, probably want Acerola, may pick up Hau if I get the other two early since he’s great Electric Support, prolly won’t pull on Mina. The designs on these are really kinda weird with the mixing terrains and weather so it’s hard to tell how good some of these are but seems like solid support for all types involved.

I feel kinda bad after shitting on Mina as being "Worse SS Kris," so let's try something a little different.  Mina, how do you do against Gauntlet?
General Overview To the surprise of no one, pretty well.  Defensive supports generally do really well for themselves when it comes to Gauntlet, and Mina is no exception.  She's incredibly hard to take down, boosting team defenses makes her allies quite sturdy, and the Buddy move as a sudden block against the threat of AoE Sure Crit is really nice.  And of course, having Flabbergast means she's a partial check to Uxie, who is a problem. Having the ability to cap special attack on turn 2, as well as supplying Team Sharp Entry, is also very nice.
That said, Mina does have drawbacks.  The biggest one being gauge.  She has Whimsical Acceleration, and you're gonna want that and Fairy Kingdom to sustain good gauge control in absence of someone buffing speed.  Sometimes even with those tools it's not quite enough to sustain.  Her constant need for sync is also a major problem, as it prohibits a lot of other sync nukers from doing their jobs.  Low DPS units just do not synergize well with Mina.  And of course, all special offense combined with "cannot set Rain more than twice" creates a lot of issues for Mina.  Like. I am not looking forward to Moltres.
Vs. Tapu Bulu Okay so maybe I overshot this one early on.  Initially I just wanted Blue, then realized I couldn't think of anyone else to bring.  This probably could've been a duo clear, nothing was stopping me but my own dislike of that.  So I brought Lodge Marnie, who helped clear faster, and added accuracy drops to the evasion play.  This was, again, perhaps a bit much.
Vs. Tornadus So I toned it down.  Persian debuffs attack to prevent Tornadus' Bar 2 AoE spam from being a problem.  Surge inflicts paralysis, and can take sync some of the time.  I mentioned Mina tends to hog it, but this is only true as far as needing her Buddy move open.  Most of the time, you want it used later on, to block a typical Bar 3 AoE Sure Crit, but beyond that, you can do whatever you want with sync so long as you're not in danger there.
Vs. Terrakion Giovanni is one of those sync pairs where Mina isn't, like, specifically built for him, but her tools optimize him well.  I opted for a Terrakion clear, initially thinking of having Janine debuff offenses for them so we didn't have to worry about field effects, before remembering that Mina is a field effect generator.  Whoops.  But hey, Giovanni gets to finish a fight with like full HP!  That's something!
Vs. Cobalion Okay I hate this one.  Eevee Lucas was chosen because I wanted to do the whole Poison/Burn interplay thing, but it didn't shake out that way, because it turns out Flannery can't take out a full HP bar in one sync.  Or even half of one.  Not that Lucas could either, but he came closer and had better follow-up DPS under Sun.  So I guess he gets the win.  Also Mina is Poison-weak, and Cobalion uses Poison Jab a lot.  This is another instance of "Really want the Zone up" because of Whimsical Immunity.  Without it, you're staring down a 30% chance to eat Poison.
Vs. Azelf Lusamine is pretty well-equipped to handle Azelf, and I admit to liking this a bit more than I should.  The real hiccup is that Lusamine doesn't buff physical attack, so the second half of HP bars is a little slow.  Parasect was here for matching theme skills, and for Screech to help solve the physical damage problem.  It went okay.  Mostly it's the bulk Mina provides that's surprising.  Ending on full HP was not something I expected.
Vs. Uxie Shauntal can cap her own crit rate, and Mina has Flabbergast, which means all you need is anything else with status and you're in business.  Shauntal has fantastic DPS for this fight.  The warning I will give, however, is that Mina's Flabbergast is random.  This means you can't count on it when you need it, and also that you can't attack and count on it not happening early when you need it not to.  Built-in Flabbergast across all attacks is like the bane of my existence when it comes to Uxie.  Sidney taught me the hard way that this is not conducive to checking its gimmicks.
Vs. Latios Look guys!  Lorelei and Pryce are good now!  Haha...haaaaah, no, not really.  I wanted to give this an attempt, to see if maybe they had good DPS synergy.  And they kinda do.  Lorelei's freeze chance isn't bad, and Pryce does get 160% bonus move damage when a foe is frozen.  Unfortunately...well, you know all the issues.  Ghetsis is a better freeze bot than Lorelei, freeze is too short lived for Pryce to really make much of it, they're both slow as hell being supported by a slow pair so gauges are a nightmare.  The whole thing is a disaster.
Vs. Latias And speaking of disasters!  I opted for Valerie as the damage dealer here, and made the absolutely moronic move to see if they could handle it with just the attack debuffing to stop Sure Crit Earthquake from  causing problems.  The good news: they can.  The bad news: this is incredibly slow, incredibly dangerous, and incredibly stupid.  None of this was a good idea, or particularly worth it.  Especially since you need to pop the Buddy move before Sure Crit Earthquake anyway, to offset the accuracy debuff.  It's just not a good time.
Vs. Regirock "Crystal."  Look, I'm having fun.  Iris is actually pretty self-sufficient as a buff bot.  Not fantastic, but good enough.  Lisia is the solution really.  Defog wipes Crit Shield, and her flinch rate on Twister is good enough when backed by a defensive wall like Mina.  That said, this process is wildly slow.  As anyone who know the Regirock fight can tell you, you really want everyone with consistent crit, or damage just doesn't start scaling fast enough.  Gauge is also, as usual, an issue, although the ability to use Whimsical Acceleration and always take Mina's sync is a slight blessing.
Vs. Entei Barry's another partner that really likes Mina's set, given that he buffs exactly 0 points of special attack.  He's also like...the only one who doesn't love SS Kris, since his DPS is poor, and he wants to spam trainer move for the boosted speed that Kris can't reliably provide without Team Swift Reaction 4.  Mina offers immediate fire-power...at the cost of sustained Rain.  It's not so bad.  I opted to bring Seaking for flinch, because a lower flinch rate is sufficient.
Vs. Moltres Anyone else tired of this thing?  So, I want to preface this by saying that, by numbers, this looks super clean.  It wasn't.  Lodge Steven just went off with Staggering 2 on grid.  Please note, Lodge Steven is not a great partner for Mina.  He can be a decent option, but he can't cap crit. You can take Sharp Entry for +2, or Follow-Through for sync, but you definitely lose out on SEUN.  What was supposed to happen was deleting the second HP bar, but Barry got really bad rolls for his speed debuffing, didn't cap speed, and had a lot less power behind his sync nuke, so he couldn't do it.  Thankfully, Steven flinched to prevent recovery, and we managed to clear.  Then we could do second round of rain, and set up Steven's sync, which missed crit and ran the risk of losing if Barry hadn't taken care of it.  It wasn't really a clean fight, but it was a successful one.
Vs. Cresselia Whimsical Immunity is a pretty nice response to Cresselia's status, and Karen is one of those Dire Hit+ holders that really enjoys Mina's presence.  The one and only issue was gauges.  Which I feel like happens for Karen a lot despite being pretty fast.  I dunno.  Maybe it's just the Icy Winds.  The point is, Karen dominates this fight pretty well, but the first phase needs to be cautiously approached so you can block Thunder Wave while still doing like any damage.  Karen's sync needs to happen twice, and Mina's should happen before those two, to ensure Fairy Zone against Thunder Wave.  Two syncs from an EX Karen definitely clears phase 1.  After that, the main thing is that Karen should DPS bar 2, allowing Mina to set Fairy Zone on sync.  Obviously this only works with 3/5 Mina, but it's a workable solution.
Final Thoughts Mina is good for Gauntlet.  I am not particularly surprised by this, but with the Tapu Wars of everyone wondering which one is best (it's Acerola), and the subsequent determination that Mina is worse SS Kris for Rain and not particularly great for Fairy Zone, it's important to remind myself that she does, in fact, have merit.
I want to say Mina took a bit more technical skill to operate, but that isn't entirely true.  A lot of this was pretty straight-forward.  Mina's strengths are capping special attack and offering tremendous defensive utility. Her weaknesses are being pretty poorly aligned to her archetypes, slow as dirt with little recourse, and surprisingly has trouble with repeated heavy-hitting single-target attacks. Yeah. That one surprised me a bit.
Cobalion was the roughest because of super-effective attacks, but it really emphasizes Mina's weaknesses broadly. Namely, that reliance on taking sync to keep Fairy Zone active for her beneficial effects. Moreover, even with boosted defenses, hard enough hits start to beat her down, and Mina only has Draining Kiss with Gradual Healing as a solution. Sure, you have your Buddy move, but that's basically a one-time use Mini Potion, maybe with Master Healer. This isn't groundbreaking. The Damage Guard for the team is, and it's only groundbreaking because it's letting her allies survive. Mina herself gets one free negation, then it's back to taking damage. Functionally, it's Endurance. It's one extra hit you can take yourself, before you drop. With no other healing potential, it's a mild problem.
Mild. You can tell from HP values, this doesn't really inhibit Mina's ability to tank. The only other fight that came close was Latias, and that's because I was playing like a lunatic. But I also want to note that, with every fight, there's offense debuffing or flinch keeping damage off her. So I do wonder how well she'd do without that, but also I'm not up for finding out right now. The point is, repeated heavy hits will annihilate her.

So I did obtain Mina & Tapu Fini on try 1 a few days back, which is exciting. Tonight I got lucky with a different fair on the third try, though!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got Hau & Tapu Koko, and I finally obtained Elio & Popplio, one of the ‘basic pool’ sync pairs that had evaded me until now. I’m doing my best to manage my expectations & gems for the Alola Villain Arc, but yeah I’m definitely going to try at least once for the other 2 Tapu sync pairs when they’re made available. My one try at Lusamine & Necrozma didn’t pan out but I’m not too upset by that. I’m likely to be wistful but accepting if I don’t get all four Tapus, given the odds. I’m already lucky to be halfway there, honestly.
… I’m more worried what sync pairs there’ll be in the summer. Hopefully it’ll ‘just’ be a rerun of the Johto trio’s sygna suits given that I already have all three. Because I’m going to need time to replenish my free gem stash after all these Alola sync pairs.

My silly headcanons for my Pokémon Masters EXperience
Tumblr media
Headcanon #1: Lillie is the ruler of Pasio in this singularity and nobody can stop her due to winning the PML along with Sniperchu (not even Ash and Red somehow). Their days include giving all the Pikachu hugs and chats. (also there's 5-6 Lillies running around Pasio) Headcanon #1.5: due to this, Pasio is in a state of chaos. Nobody can figure out what to do, and everyone is running around like rats in a lab (pun intended). Coordinating a team up in game equates to Lillie telling everyone who to work with like a boss assigning groups, and it somehow works out as long as the team is still there (don't ask). All of main story happens because multiple versions of every trainer (yes, even the ones that don't officially have alternate Sync Pairs) play the story out because cloning incidents that all the scientists are working on.
Headcanon #1.7: Oh yea everyone's personality is an exaggerated/flanderized version of their canon selves with a few exceptions (tho I'm not sure who)
Tumblr media
Headcanon #1.9: New Sync Pairs join the roster via Sniperchu prank calling
Tumblr media
Headcanon #2: Lear lost his position as Prince of Pasio due to Lillie overthrowing him. He is salty about it but at least he can still host events and stuff because Lillie has no idea how to make an event in Pasio.
Tumblr media
Headcanon #3: Lusamine got thrown in the mix due to Sniperchu wasting one of his scout point prank calls on her. She is traumatized by the sheer amount of times she has been beaten by Pikachu in the past (yes, even during childhood). She tries to be better with her kids but the sheer amount of Lillies in Pasio overwhelms her and her Sygna Suit self. (they can only handle 2 at a time)
Tumblr media
Headcanon #4: Ash and Pikachu are actually TV characters taken out of their world of Anipoke and thrown into Pasio. Their anime is watched in universe in Pasio and everyone knows him as "That guy from the Pokémon Anime." None of the characters with Anime counterparts remember Ash besides what is shown on TV. (i.e. Misty and Brock don't really recognize him as one of their best friends but instead as "the anime protagonist that features us as his companions")
Headcanon #5: Gladion makes most of the outfits in the game on his own will. Don't ask me how.
Headcanon #6: Burgh, Viola, Valerie, Mina, Piers, Roxie, and a bunch of other Artistic Sync Pairs own a few companies that compete with each other for being the most artistic.
Headcanon #7: Anyone who can set weather determines the weather of Pasio for the day. Chaos ensues and weather wildly changes every hour.
I think I'm done for writing headcanons for today so please ask any questions about my other headcanons or something among those lines cause these things have been in my head either recently or a very long time so.
