Deadline’s Contenders Television, the event where stars and showrunners talk up their shows ahead of Emmy voting, has unveiled its lineup.

It had been an interesting last few days, that was the best way to describe it. Being back home made him feel both like he had never left, and that he had been away for a life time. The house looked exactly the same, for one. His parents had the same daily routine, Granny sat in the same spot with her smokes, Min-ji’s toys covered the floor. The same flowers grew in the garden, the same scents lit, the same food cooked. And yet everything was different too. Granny moved that little bit slower, Min-ji talked in more than just words. Books changed on the bookshelf, and Sylvia wasn’t living there anymore. All small in their own right but a stark contrast of time away.

Min-ji had stayed warm to him ever since the moment of recognition, running off excitement from the time she woke to the moment she fell asleep. Kai watched, waiting for the other shoe to drop. It all felt too easy, and he knew it wouldn’t be, but for now he was going to enjoy the simple moments. He’d have to look for a job, and eventually a place for them. But until now, he was happy to play all the ridiculous imaginary games she wanted, and follow her around Wailing Waters on her tricycle, which is what he was doing now. She kept stopping though, looking make to make sure he was still following. "Yeah baby girl, I’m still here.” He wasn’t going anywhere again, he’d make sure of it.
