The months went by quick, too quick. Every day was the same for ___, wake up early, do her chores, eat and go to bed. It was a cycle that was never ending and the days started to drag.
Especially since she became swollen with her baby.
The day she found out was one that brought her happiness for the first time in what felt like forever. Mo’at noticed a change, she got tired quicker, her cravings changed her appetite in food and she was more emotional.
“Ma ‘ite, you are with child” the elder grinned, hand on her stomach and pressing down to feel the tiny bump in her skin. ___’s eyes welled up with tears, a smile crawling it’s way onto her face as she giggled and grabbed her mother in laws hand. “The great mother shines upon you, sweet one”
Immediately the woman had to tell her mates, but she hesitated. They have been cruel to her since that day under the tree of souls, the harsh words and hands never stopping their ministrations. It became too much for her and often the Na’vi sought comfort in the woods, where she met Norm and Spider.
The child was a home away from home, her comfort during dark days. Norm often let her have days alone together where she would take the toddler to find fruit, swim in the nearby lakes or show him the beauty of his home. He was her light and she vowed to take care of him. In some ways they were the same, abandoned and alone.
When ___ did end up letting Neytiri and Jake know of her condition, they glowered at her and the female warrior had to step out of their home. Her hormones were often full of anger, taking out her voice on anyone who dared cross her and the healer was often the backend of it. But for Jake’s sake she stepped out for some air.
“We can get rid of it” they were words that were most unexpected, the voice harsh and yellow eyes glared into her own watering ones. Jake and his wife did not want a child from her, they did not need one, he had one on the way and another is one that he just can not and will not take care of. “Mo’at should have something to abort it, go to her”
She’s never stuck up for herself against them, not after the first time. Fear kept her on her knees and she never once talked back. But she had to this time, the words almost forcing themselves out of her.
“No”
“No?” Jake stepped up to her and raised a brow when she didn’t back down.
“No. I will not” her English was heavily accented but was understandable, she brought her hands to her belly as if to protect the growing life from the incoming punches, not wanting her baby to be subjected to the same abuse.
“If you grow that thing we will have nothing to do with it” Jake turned and walked out. His point was made and his statement was clear. They were not her mates and had no custody over her child. ___ held her hands over her mouth as she whimpered quietly, the pain in her heart grew every day and the stress of her incoming pregnancy weighed her down.
They did not celebrate or announce her pregnancy to the clan.
Mo’at was confused, Jake was most happy to shout it out to the whole moon of his future child with Neytiri, why is he not doing the same with ___? Every time she tried to ask the clan leader he seemed to dodge away from her, avoiding any chance to talk. She will get to him for Eywa’s sake.
But if he and her daughter will not speak, she will go to their sweet mate. The Tsahìk found her by one of the rivers near Hellsgate, a small human boy situated on her lap as she spoke to him in both English and Na’vi, pointing at the fish swimming by their feet. Mo’at smiled at them, keeping her steps silent, she has heard of the rowdy boy living amongst the scientists, but has yet to introduce herself to him.
She made a small chirp as to alert them and watched as ___ moved her head back to see who it was and when she saw, her eyes lit up. “Ma Sa’nok, come” she beckoned the woman over and patted the spot next to her. Spider watched as the other lady sat down next to them and took notice of the many beads on her, reaching a tiny hand out to touch one that dangled by her side.
Mo’at chuckled at the child, silently asking ___ if she can pick him up. Once she got the go ahead the elder held him as if he was any other Omaticayan baby, letting him explore the garments she wore. “I thought you would be here, but I did not anticipate another”
“He is Spider, ma sa’nok. One of the children the humans look after” ___ chuckled as the toddler put a bead in his mouth, shooting the women a giggle when they cooed at him. “He is sweet, yes?”
Mo’at could not help but agree, nodding her head as she took one of her hands and placed it against her daughters stomach, right where the tiny bump was. “It has not been announced. Lumpe?” she gave ___ a critiqued look as she awaited an answer.
The woman sighed and watched the fish in the water swirling between her feet, “we have decided to keep it private, for my sake. You know I dislike being in the spotlight like that” she lied and it was obvious. ___ winced as the elder reached up to pinch the tip of her ear.
“You cannot lie to a Tsahìk, we see all” Mo’at glanced out into the forest, watching as the leaves swayed in the breeze and the insects crawl on the trunks of the trees. “I ask again. Why?”
“If you see all, then surely you must know” her ear was pinched again. Yellow eyes connected and ___ sighed, she was afraid to tell her mother in law the truth, afraid that once she did she would be deemed a liar and outcasted by her too. “They did not want too…they do not see my baby as theirs. They do not see me as theirs…” she whispered finally, deciding to let it out into the open.
“I knew it. The bruises, the way they never look at you, they do not care for you. And this? This is them failing to see” the Tsahìk growled but quieted down when the boy in her arms shifted, looking up at her with wide eyes. She patted his head and turned back to ___ who quickly wiped her eyes. “I will speak to-“
“Kehe. I do not want this getting out of hand”
“You need help ma ‘ite” but the woman was insistent, begging Mo’at to let her sort it out on her own. With this baby they will eventually see reason.
They both hoped what she said would be true.
Tumblr media
“What did I say?!” Neytiri shouted at the other woman, hissing in her direction and pointing to the basket of beads “you do not touch those! You will NEVER touch those!”. The beads in question belonged to Sylwanin, her dead sister. ___ thought she could just look through them and find a bead for her baby, she knew it was what her old friend would have allowed and have been honoured by.
“She was my friend…” the woman whispered, ears down, hands placed on her swollen belly, rubbing soothingly as to hopefully calm the movement. Na’vi babies grow fast and already Neytiri was nearing the end of her pregnancy with only less than a month left. Not long after ___ would give birth to hers, but for now they continue to turn and kick, responding to their mama’s words and touches.
“She WAS your friend! Not now! Not any more! But she was and will be my sister! Even after death! You have no one, not anymore” Neytiri picked up the basket and placed it on the far end of their home, by their hammock and away from ___’s. Ever since Mo’at found of her conditions, she made sure a suitable bed was given for her to sleep in, a floor was no place for a budding mother.
___ softly cried, her emotions getting out of hand, she picked one hand off of her stomach and wiped her dropping tears. Sylwanin was like a sister to her too, she deserved to have something on her in her memory. Like the bracelet that was on her wrist, the one that they made together as children.
It was as if the warrior could read her mind because she stalked up to the woman and grabbed her arm, eying the beaded string wrapping around the appendage. Neytiri wasted no time and grabbed it as hard as she could, pulling it and watching as the tiny bits of stone clattered around the floor, dropping the twine that weaved through them. “She is not yours to honour! How can you after all that happened?!”
___ cried harder, soft sounds turning into loud sobs as she fell to her knees and tried to pick up the pieces of what was left. “No! Why?! Why must you do this?!” her words earned her a shove to her back from a foot pushing onto her chest.
Neytiri screamed at her “YOU KNOW WHY! You do not deserve happiness! Do not deserve that thing inside you!” having enough, the tsakarem left, climbing down the tree with her fathers bow, going to hunt to cool herself down. If she stayed she did not know what other damage she will do towards the woman.
“Sylwanin, I am sorry” the woman stayed curled up on the floor weeping, looking at one of the beads on the floor in front of her and taking it into her hand, holding it close to her heart. She could not deal with this pain in her heart any more, she needed to take her mind off of it. She could not see spider in this state, the boy, despite a human, has grown significantly. He is already the age of two years and is able to have short conversations with her. If he saw her upset he will become sad too, and she hated to see him sad.
___ carefully got up from the floor, sweeping the beads and taking the broken string, moving to place it inside a small satchel she had in her side of the room. The pregnant woman wobbled over to the entrance and pulled it back, sighing and descending slowly to the forest floor. It was hard for her to move and most days she spent inside the hut, even when Jake’s harsh words made her upset. He called her lazy, yet do not understand the weight of her stomach and the swollen ankles of her feet. Her belly was large, far larger than what was normal for an Omaticayan baby and she was worried for the child’s health, Mo’at says they will be fine though, so she entrusts everything to Eywa’s will.
___ waddled into the forest, only carrying her knife and her thoughts. It was not time for eclipse so she could go to the tree of souls and back in time for bed. She will skip the communal dinner and eat what is left over. She knew it was not healthy for the child she carried, or for herself, but she does not have the will in her to face her supposed mates.
The jungle seamed to glow in the daylight when the Na’vi strolled past, the grass softly swayed beneath her feet and syaksyuk glanced to her in curiosity, swinging away once they have had their fill. She smiled at a mother holding her young, giggling when the baby tried to get closer to her so the Na’vi stopped.
Once the creature neared her it tapped her swollen belly twice, looking at her and running away when their mother hooted for them to go. Smiling at the small interaction she carried on with her journey, it was almost like the great mother is blessing her. The small syaksyuk lifted her dampened spirits until her mind wondered back to the broken bracelet and she sighed, ears turned down once again.
The tree of souls was beautiful, even in the daylight. It’s white tendrils moved and pulsed with energy, almost as if it was greeting her. ___ walked closer and took out her queue, letting the nerves tangle with one of the hanging branches of the tree. Her pupils dilated as she was sucked through the eye of Eywa, coming out of the end of the tunnel and being faced with Kelutral. Her old home.
“And what are you doing?” a little voice sassily scolded behind her, small hand tapping her back thigh and prompted ___ to turn around. The woman’s eyes watered at the sight of a younger Sylwanin, a few years younger than the day the RDA took her life away from her.
“Sylwanin” she tried to squat but found it too hard to properly hold the position so she resorted to sitting down, her hand held her friends own as the girl cocked her head to the side. “It has been too long”
“Srane. Too long indeed. Your tummy is big” the child pointed out and placed a small hand on top of it, feeling the movement of the babe and grinning. ___ was not able to see Sylwanin at the tree since she found out about her pregnancy, Neytiri made sure about that.
___ giggled at her, cupping her face and kissing her forehead. When her eyes opened she was met with the yellow of an older girl, one who was both mature and wise. “Syl’, Neytiri poe -“ the very thought pained her and the pregnant woman squeezed her eyes shut, heart heavy with grief and stress. “I do not understand why - I am sorry” she started to sob, shoulders shaking at the weight of it all.
Her friend held her wrist in her hand and examined it, blood and forming blisters caked it where the bracelet was pulled. ___ wiped her eyes clear, sniffling. She did not notice it before. “You have not been treated well. My sister is being a kurkung” Sylwanin hissed in anger, using her thumb to brush away the rest of the tears that fell down the others face. “But you do not have to be sorry for her mistakes”
“I feel like I had to apologise”
“There was no need” she kissed the wounded wrist and ___ felt no pain, just a soft pressure and a feeling of comfort spread through her body. “You can always make a new one, no? Or better yet, name them after me” she chuckled and pointed to her friends tummy.
___ grinned and rolled her eyes “Sylwanin is a silly name, there is no need” and at that, the mentioned girl pinched the tip of ___’s ear. She let out an ‘ouch!’ and glared playfully, she was exactly like her mother.
“My name would be great for your child, I would have forced Tsu’tey to name our own after me”
“Poor Tsu’tey” ___ laughed louder when Sylwanin slapped her arm. When the joy dulled down, the heaviness of the world came crashing onto her, the mood swings elevating her emotions. “Syl’ I do not think I could do this any longer” she cried out once more, tail thumping the floor and ears pinned to her head “they would treat my baby with harsh words and neglect, that is no way for a child to live…I cannot do this without you. I wish you was here. I wish I still had the bracelet” her eyes produced fresh warm tears that ran down her cheeks. ___ missed Sylwanin with her whole heart and when Neytiri broke her accessory, it was like ripping into her chest and squeezing until she stopped living.
The older Na’vi cupped her face, eyes doe and smile filled with understanding “ma tsmuke, I am always with you. Bracelet or not. I am apart of Eywa. I follow you wherever you go, I see you wherever you turn, I am with you ___. Even if you do not see me”
“I see you sister, Oel ngati kam -“ a sharp pain stopped her watery words, her hand instantly clamped down on her abdomen, breathing ragged. What was this? Another sharp punch and what felt like water ran down her legs. No. It was too early.
Panicked she looked up at her sister who looked as calm as ever, reassuring her frightened body with just a glance in the eye. “You are ready to become a mother. Just breathe ___. Breathe”
Her eyes blinked open and she inhaled sharply, she was back under the tree of souls, no Sylwanin in sight. Another kick in her tummy made her release a shout. She held onto her friends words, like an anchor at the back of her head. She breathed in deeply and let the air out slow.
It was time.

“Hurry, Sylwa, hurry!”
I have a theory that Neytiri was just like Tuk as a child. Very cheery until her sister died. Also that she called her sister “Sylwa” short for Sylwanin.
sorry for not posting in a while life got busy.

Tumblr media
synopsis / general headcanons of how you and my blorbos met and some romantic hcs

👏 okay let's get this goin
you grew up with neytiri, sylwanin and tsu'tey. you were just a friendly na'vi— looking for kids to play with, looking for games to laugh about— and somehow, someway, it was neytiri you bumped into. the second daughter of the olo'eyktan , and of course you were intimidated! neytiri was young and yet she had alot of potential— and also she was unbearably pretty. like, literally mostly she was just... really, really pretty. your mouth went dry when you bumped into her, but she only excused you with a curt nod of her head and an "it is alright."
you didn't know what was going through your mind as you stayed there, next to her— you didn't know what was going through your mind as you asked her, "would you like to play games with me?"
all you know is that three minutes in, you were both laughing. together. sylwanin & tsu'tey saw you, and let me tell you they were flabbergasted. they also saw the sparks of chemistry appearing between the two of you, and as they looked at eachother one last time — they ran into join your game.
that, ladies, gents, & variations thereof, is how a beautiful friendship began. a friendship , long lasting and getting through every problem with communication and maybe violence ! ( but only if you got hurt intentionally by some stupid bullies!! )
still, amidst the fights, amidst the laughter, amidst the unintelligible screaming— it was peaceful.
until the humans came.
you were foolish to believe humans could have some competence in them, back then.
grace taught the four of you, and you watched as your friends progressed and you witnessed yourself learn and grow— she taught you about humans, and you found yourself interested in them. more than any of your other friends.
you watched as sylwanin and tsu'tey fell inlove in the hold of the classroom.
you watched as neytiri playfully whacked tsu'tey, giving him a shovel talk— telling him , that if he ever hurt sylwanin— he'd die.
you watched as sa'nok taught your class stories of Earth, and you watched as her smile faltered when you asked if you could visit.
so many memories.
all in the hold of that classroom.
so why did it all have to go wrong?
Tumblr media
"SYLWANIN!" neytiri screamed, in anguish. the entirety of the classroom went silent, the only noises heard being the ringing of your ears and the bullets and the bombs and the screams and the— and the cries. neytiri & tsu'tey were crying over sylwanin's corpse, held by tsu'tey— "oh, what do I do?!" tsu'tey cried— voice cracking near every word he spoke. neytiri could only look at her sister as tears fell.
why did this happen?
if they had never set the bulldozer on fire, would anything have changed? would anything have changed? perhaps the location, perhaps the time — but it would've still happened sooner or later.
that's what expected of humans, isn't it?
humans will always be greedy.
all of this would've happened. nothing would change.
but you still wish it happened later.
different location. different time. different year. different minute. different second.
just ... different.
that way,
as you kneel down to sylwanin's dead body, holding her hand and tearing up,
you wouldn't have had to experience this so young.
more time with sylwanin, was all you asked. more time. more smiles. more laughs. more hugs. it embodied all you needed. more time.
it was all you ever asked.
"why?!" you screamed, head placed onto sylwanins cold skin. "WHY DO YOU TAKE HER FROM US, O EYWA?!" tsu'tey flinched. you collapsed onto the dirt, sobbing.
why, Eywa?
why?
and yet, still,
life goes on.
Tumblr media
life goes on.
sylwanin is gone, neytiri becomes the tsakarem — neytiri is left without a sister, mo'at and eytukan lost a daughter— and tsu'tey, a love. now, he is betrothed to her sister— both miserably tied to their fates. they accept it later on, but it still hurts. with everyone settling into their new statuses, the training gets harsher— the words cut deeper, and the knives get sharper. your clan bares their fangs at the sky people now. nevertheless, you grow. you continue to love. you continue to hope.
— and your hope was not for nothing.
for, as you hunt— you find jake sully.
you almost shoot him , yeah, but you know— in this angle particularly he looked like a viperwolf— and yet the spirit on your bow stops you.
Eywa has judged him first.
and she has deemed him adequate.
you cannot intervene.
it is you who saves him.
"why?" he asks.
"why did I save you?" you repeat, he nods. you think over it for a bit, but you find an answer.
"... you have a good heart. no fear."
he looks flattered, for a while. then, you, realizing that you probably inflated this douchebags ego, decided to follow up with a quick jab—
"but you are too loud. needed to shut you up."
his smile drops.
your smile forms.
Tumblr media
"jeez, you're a bitch—" jake mutters, after having heard your many insults. they pierce through his ego, and your eyes pierce through his heart— because they're just that pretty. you're that pretty. you're like a pretty bitch! you're so his type. "and you are a baby." you bite back, he raises his hands in surrender. you smirk.
direhorses surround you, and spears raise as neytiri runs to you— shielding you from the false bodied demon. "mawey, neytiri!" you say, and jake is extremely confused. it seems you're defending him, which you are, because you are not going to let someone judged by Eywa rightfully— die just like that. neytiri looks at you confused, and slightly offended.
tsu'tey's eye twitches, and he compells his direhorse to step forward— he tilts his head looking down on you. " what did the sky demon do to you ? do not tell me you have been brainwashed , y/n. " he spits. neytiri looks at you , suspiciously. jake just stands there because to you, that's all he's apparently good for.
as you look at all the hunters around you, sneering and snarling as their horses neigh and their hands hold on tight to their bows, you gulp.
damn, you've got lots of explaining to do.
Tumblr media
neytiri takes him to the oloeyktan and tsahik— and you testify for him. you defend his will, his name — and by the will of Eywa, mo'at sees truth in your defense. with that, the trial is ended— and you & neytiri are placed in charge of jake.
while neytiri groans in complaint, as the person who found him— you have no choice to comply.
with that, the story flows on like the movie does— however, there are a teensy bit of difference— oh, what's that? you'd like to see those differences? okay, darlings!
Tumblr media
you & neytiri watch as jake, once again, collapses onto the dirt after attempting to jump through the trees once more. he smiles awkwardly, trying to play it off, and you flick his forehead. you tell him, "you must try once more, jake. the sky people always says practice turns you perfect."
"well, it's practice makes perfect, but you got the gist." jake corrects, as he goes off to try again. neytiri looks at you, disappointed but not surprised. "he is hopeless." she says, you reply— "he is just emptyheaded."
"na'vi." neytiri repeats, and jake is extremely confused. he's been saying it right , so why do you two keep saying he's pronouncing it wrong? "na'vi." he repeats. "na'viii." you emphasize, and jake is really on his last straw with you two. "nar'viiii." he repeats, and that earns two whacks on the head. each.
seze perches herself onto the tree, and neytiri shushes jake. "do not look into her eye." you advise, and jake complies — seze roars, and that sends jake falling flat on his fucking ass. he blinks, surprised, and you — start laughing uncontrollably. he has to process this for a bit, but seconds after— you and jake are having ongoing banter while neytiri giggles at every word you two say.
neytiri observes you two as you lean into jake, correcting his posture. he looks at you, and you back away on instinct— a teensy bit flustered. it is then she is consumed by thought, she's never felt these emotions before— not for you, her lifelong bestfriend — and not for jake, a demon in a false body, either. so why is she feeling shimmyflys in her belly? why do they wriggle whenever you three all interact? why do they jump at your smiles?
Eywa gives her the answer, tired by her incessant denial.
she was inlove.
Tumblr media
so. yeah. yadayadayadayadayada jake & neytiri mate you get left in the dust but are content with seeing both of them happy together but then THEN
the war happens.
everything tumbles down. graces death— oh god, graces death hurt you so. even then, life went on.
life went on, and you thought it'd keep going on— until a bullet went through your chest. it missed the heart, but god, it went through your chest.
you cant imagine the looks on jake and neytiri's faces as you were being tended to, how jake held your right hand while neytiri held your left— how jake realized, in this moment, he loved you. how neytiri realized— she couldn't have just one mate. she needed two.
the spirit landing on her hand, and then yours, and then jakes— confirmed that.
as she looked at her mate knowingly and vice versa, they nodded at eachother.
they couldn't lose you.
you were theirs. you were always theirs.
Tumblr media
[ SCREMAMAMSMAMMSMAS ] IM SICK OF BUILDING THE RELATIONSHIP GOD OKAY HERES SOME HEADCANONS
the three of you ? head over heels for eachother. but like, subtly. you guys will show your love through forehead touches, cheek caresses, pecks to the cheek even if you're feeling a little bold. you do not openly show your affection to the clan of which you three are in charge of. you prefer to keep the love indoors, where no one can witness ( and feel single about )
neytiri smiles proudly whenever she sees you and jake, honored that she has mates as talented as you— everytime you come back from a hunt, neytiri greets you with a kiss.
neytiri , in all her gentleness , has a bite to her. when she hears your name, spat on and insulted— she sees red and feels a desperate need to protect you. and she does. she hisses at anyone who dares try and hurt you, bow in hand and fangs bared as she stands by you protectively.
she shows her love through physical means, in private you three are attached at the hip— neytiri holding you the tightest, fearing that if she loosens her grip, she may never feel your heartbeat again.
neytiri likes to braid your hair!! every chance she gets, she does. her fingers feel so good on your head— and as she does her magic, you are on cloud 9 because EYWA this woman's hands can DO things
jake, however, is an idiotic chaotic himbo man dude that happened to tame a toruk .... and go on to gather all the clans for a battle against the sky people and win that battle but yk whatever he's still an idiotic chaotic himbo man dude. whenever you kiss him, his mind just goes blank . he just goes " omg my mate my mate my mate" because he LOVES THE BOTH OF YOU SO MUCh.
jake is also very loveydovey!! he'll dance with you and neytiri in the moonlight, and you guys fly through the skys near everyday as a destresser. jake loves dates, as he loves you.
he's ready to defend your honor at any given moment. any second. he will defend you.
he's also got a nice voice and his love language is words of affirmation. yk what that means.
"y/n, look at me." jake asked, you obliged— "y/n, you and neytiri are my everything. nothing could ever stop me from loving you. so don't you dare say that things would stay the same if we had never gotten into a relationship. everything would change. neytiri & I would constantly feel like something was missing, y/n." he said, and neytiri , who left open mouthed kisses on your skin— hummed in agreement. all three of your queues had connected – and as you fully processed your love, you couldn't help but get a bit emotional.
jake was a man of many, smart words. if he thought hard enough.
as you looked at jake and neytiri, both infinitely beautiful and skilled warriors— you couldn't help but realize how lucky you were.
"I love you." you said, on instinct. "I love you two , so much."
neytiri looked at you through hooded eyes, and smiled. "I love you, ma'y/n."
jake , unbelievably overwhelmed with the feeling of the bond by now— could only stutter out his response. a contrast to the usual sure and confident toruk makto: "i- I love you."
how cute.

Come with me on this journey okay:
-Stay-at-home-wheelchair-Dad Jake Sully babysits literally all children. His own, whatever fosters Norm has at the time, Tonowari’s, and Tsu’sey and Sylwanin’s. He is the babysitting and parenting God.
-When they’re really rowdy he puts them all on leashes and has them pull him around the street yelling “MUSH, MUSH!”
-Eytukan is retired, so he helps Mo’at run her free clinic. Jake spends like all his free time there, “helping out” with his hoard of children. It’s really just a nice open area for the kids to play in, big fields and equipment in clear view while Jake helps with physical therapy.
-The clinic is where he and Neytiri met, he didn’t have the money for treatment on vet benefits after he was paralyzed in the marines so he ended up at the free clinic. Neytiri volunteers for her mother on the weekends, and she bullied him into enjoying life again.
-Sylwanin and Jake are pretend frenemies, she pretends to hate him because he stole her little sister AND managed to get married and have kids before her and Tsu’tey who have been dating for like, their entire lives. Jake says it’s because they have yet to be blown up, and he can help her with that.
-Every time Jake wheels his way in with all the kids Sylwanin goes “Oh, it’s you,” and Jake says “Yeah yeah, just your brother in law, not like I should get any respect around here,” and then he hands her her exact Starbucks order and offers to have Lo’ak throw up on her most hated patient.
-(when he was little Lo’ak could throw up on command)
-Sylwanin loves all her nieces and nephews equally but she especially enjoys Spider, because before he was adopted he was in the clinic fairly often for suspicious injuries. She hasn’t shaken the urge to watch him like a hawk yet.
-Eytukan and Jake are Boys in a way that disgusts all the women in their family. They go golfing together, and Eytukan accuses Jake of cheating via proximity to the ground.
-Lo’ak was DETERMINED to golf with them for years and when they actually let him come he cried he got so bored.
-Neteyam would never admit this under pain of death, but he enjoys golfing.
-Spider, Neteyam, Ao’nung, and Lo’ak are all deeply obsessed with American Ninja Warrior, so Tonowari, Jake, and Tsu’tey built a course for them. They then started to get a little into it and it got serious. To this day out of everyone they know Jake is the only one to have completed the salmon ladder, and then he hauled himself off the mat and back into his chair and Tonowari and Tsu’tey had to reconsider their sexualities.
-When Kiri, Lo’ak, Neteyam, Spider, and Ao’nung were all babies Jake went to the store with them all strapped to him or in a basket on his wheelchair and someone called the cops cause they thought he stole all those varying ethnicity babies.
-Jake calls it The Great Baby Heist of 2077 and Tsu’tey always responds to this story by asking what idiot would want that many babies?
-Sometimes Sylwanin gets too friendly with Jake and quickly pretends to get mad at him.
-Tonowari and Tsu’tey became friends by both being confused as hell by their friend Jake. When they met him he was all depressed and rotting away alone in the free clinic. Now he’s so high energy he raced Lo’ak once and threw himself out of his chair to get extra momentum to beat Lo’ak over the arbitrary finish line. He had a pool installed for Kiri to just float in and stare at the sky. He bakes cookies with Tsireya balanced on his chair between his legs so he can help her crack the eggs. He beat Tsu’tey in a wrestling match in the gym the other day. His enthusiasm for life scares them, they spend a lot of time side eyeing each other behind him.
-Sylwanin (secretly) likes Jake because he’s a good father and husband to her kids, and he’s funny and a good person, but she likes him even more for the energy he brings out in her husband. Tsu’tey is NOT GOOD at making friends, he’s awkward and he’s a weirdo. But now he plays tennis twice a week with Jake, Norm, and Tonowari and spends like every evening she has to work at the Sully house for dinner.

nina cried power |tsu'tey x reader|
part two of this
a/n: please forgive me lovelies :) i can't help but crave the chaos, currently working on the final part!
warnings: angst, cliff hangers, one singular cuss word
vocab ‘Itan: son - sa'nok: mother - syvue: food - tsngan: meat - tute: female - oel ngati kameie: i see you
Tumblr media
Days. Weeks. Months.
You no longer kept count, why should you when your heart has stopped beating the moment her hand touched his? Why should you be held responsible for keeping score of the days that had passed? Why was your heart the one to be consistently broken over Tsu’tey and Sylwanin?
You knew the blame you placed on him was not fair. It was not called for, yet that didn’t stop the anguish from rising in your chest every time you were a witness to their growing love. No matter how far you distanced yourself from the clan, there was always talk of their future Olo’eytukan and Tsahik.
Everyone was waiting for the day the two of them were officially mated, the day the clan would welcome the new leaders. But you knew in your heart, you would run away before you ever had to see it come true.
It was no surprise that you had changed dramatically since that night. You traded your bright beaded tops for dull feathered ones instead. No longer wishing to finally catch the eye of your oldest friend.
But it seemed no matter how hard you tried to hide away, Tsu’tey always noticed you. He was no fool. He knew how hurt you had been, the look on your face so raw and full of anguish. No one could have missed you running away towards the woods.
He himself would have been surprised if he hadn’t been told mere minutes before the announcements. It was a reminder that he could never fully choose his future. No part of him had ever craved to mate with Sylwanin, but every fiber of him ached to be with you. You who had stuck by his side through everything, through the fights with his family, his flight of passage, and every other challenging moment. You were a constant, you were his.
————————————————————
“Ah, Y/N, he is staring at you again. You must put him out of his misery,” Ninat giggled, lowly gesturing to the group of warriors across the way.
Eyes quickly darting upwards, your heart sank as you met the eyes of Orew. The slightest glimmer of hope, wishing your eyes met his.
“Ninat! Do not spread rumors you baby! I know nothing of this misery you speak of! Orew is nothing but a skawang, a foolish boy,” you hissed, face heating as she just laughed harder at you.
Bearing your teeth at your friend, you turned your attention towards the necklace you were making. Smiling downwards at the colorful gems you had spent weeks collecting in the forest. So absorbed in your work, you didn’t hear the footfalls behind you.
“That necklace is going to look beautiful on you,” a deep voice rumbled, spooking you from your inner thoughts.
Quickly looking up, you met the sparkling eyes of Orew. Heart racing in your chest from being snuck up on, a polite smile gently finding home on your face.
“Thank you Orew, it is quite pretty but it’s not for me. It’s for someone very special to me,” you answered sincerely, hoping he would just walk away.
“Well they are very lucky. One could only be so lucky to wear something you’ve crafted for them. I hope to one day be so lucky,” he spoke confidently, before sending you a striking smile and heading back towards his friends.
The moment his back was turned, Ninat tightly grabbed your arm and practically screamed, “He is so into you!”
Rolling her eyes as you pushed her away, you were oblivious to the tall na’vi watching you closely from the treeline.
—-------------------------------
One thing about the clan was that the minute a rumor was whispered, it spread like wildfire throughout the entire village. Whether it was true or not hardly mattered, as long as the members of the clan had something to keep their days interesting.
So it was no surprise to you when a rumor that Sylwanin was choosing to mate with Ayawon started to make its way through the clan. It wasn’t the first rumor of its likeness to be passed around. From the moment she came of age, every elder sa’nok hoping the name of their ‘itan would stick. The Olo’eytukans family always fell unlucky to the gossiping of small minded na’vi. When you heard this rumor you couldn’t help the hollow laugh that escaped your throat. The harshness of it surprising even yourself.
Deep down, you and everyone else knew that Sylwanin would never go against her fathers orders. She was promised to Tsu’tey and in order to be the next Tsahik, she would have to make tsaheylu with him. Why would she give up a lifetime of training for a mediocre warrior? When she had the finest warrior the clan had to offer and the future Olo’eytukan? She was no fool and knew the importance of the future of the clan.
Pushing the rumor out of your mind, you continued on with your day. Spending much of the morning helping forage for herbs with the healers before heading back to the village for syvue. As you walked towards the large fire, whispers flowed throughout the clan already gathered. Grabbing a bowl of tsngan, you found a quiet spot to enjoy your meal. The comfort of the moment ruined when a voice bellowed, “YOU DID WHAT?”
Looking up from your bowl, your eyes widened at the scene unfolding in front of you. There before you stood Sylwanin. Hand in Hand with Ayawon, but further than that, they stood with their queues connected as the final sign of mating. Beyond her stood a furious Eytukan, glaring at his eldest daughter.
Gasps rippled throughout the village as they watched with rapt attention. Rumors were one thing, but you could barely comprehend what was happening.
“Ayawon and I have mated before Eywa. It is done,” Sylwanin spoke fiercely, never breaking eye contact with her father.
“If you chose this Sylwanin, you can and will not be Tsahik,” Mo’at rushed out quickly, almost as if hoping her daughter would change her mind.
“I have made up my mind. I choose him as my mate,” she replied strongly, turning to smile lovingly at her new mate.
“Then that is how it should be. Sylwanin will no longer lead our clan as Tsahik. She has chosen,” Eytukan declared loudly, “Tsu’tey may choose my youngest Neytiri as his promised and keep his place as future Olo’eytukan or pick a mate of his choice and continue down his path as a warrior. Like Sylwanin, the choice is his.”
Your heart couldn’t take the implications of what just happened and you felt as though you would faint on the spot. Voices erupted from throughout the crowd as the other tute na’vi weighed the newest addition to the mating pool. Unable to stop yourself, your eyes scanned the crowd until they met the familiar yellow ones you adored. Tentatively Tsu’tey raised a hand in a small wave. To anyone else it was insignificant, miniscule in the grand scheme of things. But to you, it was a new beginning.
It was Tsu’tey telling you Oel ngati kameie.
You raised your hand to wave back and was on the verge of a genuine smile for the first time in months, when the ground shook and all hell broke loose.

Stxeli: I promise
Hellooooooo~!! Here is a new chapter of my stxeli series! Hope you all like this one! enjoy~!!
Stxeli series
------------------
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“As a tsahik, you are busy every day sa’nok, what time would you have for my baby sister?” Little Neytiri asks as she narrows her eyes, placing her hands on her hips. Mo’at doing the same stance, “and as a warrior in training, you have lessons to attend to ma’ite. Being with your teacher and helping with the clan, what spare time do you have with stxeli?”.
Eytukan couldnt help but let out a slow chuckle. They are at it again, his mate and child fighting over who can have stxeli for the day. It has become a daily thing, see who wins over stxeli. The baby in question was playing with some toys he carved for her, oblivious that her mother and sister are arguing over her.
But eytukan decides to take matters in his own hands. He has a rare free day today, why not have a nice father-daughter day? Liking the idea, he grabs stxlie in his arms, and quietly tells his family he will take the baby for the day. But he doesnt think mo’at or neytiri heard him as they continue to argue.
Tumblr media
Walking around with stxeli in his arms, he lets her see their village, something the baby will never get tired of. Many young children say hello to him and his daughter, and he happily greets back. There is a lot they can do, but what exactly? She is fed and cleaned, so for the meantime he won't have to worry about that.
“Aaaaababababa!!” Stxeli squeals happily, her chubby legs kicking in the air. Lately she has been getting more physically active. She can crawl, but hopefully, she will walk too. “I think I know exactly where to go,” Eytukan says. Stxeli looks up at him with her gummy smile, already showing two little white peaks growing. Her teeth are also coming too.
They had her for a few months now, and already stxeli is growing up right before their eyes. Putting her on a carrying sling on his back, he sets out to a littler river not too far from the village. A place where children are often taken to learn the basics of fishing. And to enjoy fresh water.
“Abaaaa?” Stxeli calls out, curious where her father is taking her. Smiling softly, he answers her, “you will have fun where I am taking you, perfect to play around”.
Tumblr media
The waters were calm and it wasn't that deep, perfect for stxeli to dip her little toes. Carefully bending down into the river, where it reaches up to his ankles, eytukan gently puts down his child. Firmly get gently holding her hands up as she laughs and giggles at the texture on her feet.
Laughter fills the area, the child's innocent giggles eytukan’s ears. Pleased and happy that his daughter was enjoying the water. Splashing water around as she kicks around. Even jumping at times. Her smile is ever so contagious.
Chuckling, eytukan sways her a bit, “alright lets try it, ready ma’ite?” he asks. Stxeli coos as if to answer her father. So, slowly, eytukan guide her step by step. Making sure the water doesn't slip her stance. “There you go, soon you will learn to walk and run. I am sure you will most likely hide behind our backs and scare us half to death” eytukan says while chuckling at his imaginary future.
The more steps stxlie took, the more confident she got, taking bigger eager steps. “Easy my child, why in such a hurry?” he wonders while easily keeping up pace. Stxeli only said some baby words to answer him, still gripping tightly on his fingers.
And to his surprise, stxeli took one big step and letting go of his grip. Was this the moment?
No, one step and she fell on her bum against a rock.
Not liking the stinging pain, with trembling lips, stxeli cries. Eytukan was quick to pick her up and rubs her little bum to soothe away the pain. “Sssshhh my young stxeli, no need to cry. It happens my child. Accidents happen and we learn from them” he softly whispers to her little round ear.
Gently bouncing her on his arm, her little cries died down as she sniffs away her tears. Eytukan wipes away his daughter’s remaining tears and smiles, “see? All better. Want to try again?”. Stxeli was quick to shake her head in protest.  Eytukan accepts her choice and placed her on his lap as he sits near the river.
Stxeli explores his giant hands, tracing his hand wrinkles and band armor. Her soft coos of wonder bring warmth to his heart. He lets her wonder more and she stumbles upon his songchord. The na’vi remembers how stxeli has taken a liking to mo’ats and neytiri’s songchords. Of course stxeli has her own, but it is safely tucked away back at their home.
So, he takes out his song chord and swings it gently across stxeli’s face as she giggles, her hands chasing it. “You love my songchord don't you? One day, you will have your own, perhaps longer than mine. Long and beautiful, to sing and tell your story too” he tells her. Stxlie’s giggles are truly something. Her innocence and cheerfulness tug at eytukans heart. Every day he loves his child more and more.
“Here, this is my story” giving his songchord to stxlie, he begins to tell of his beginning to now.
Tumblr media
After a nice lunch of fruit, which is what stxeli seems to only eat. Eytukan takes her further down the river, where it leads to a little pond. Water seems to be an element stxeli has come to enjoy. Eytukan wouldn't be surprised if his child learns to swim before walking. But as they made their way, there were sounds coming from the forage in the forest. Sounds of leaves being moved, twigs break.
He was quick to notice how silent the forest had become around them. Which can only mean one thing.
A predator is near. Very near.
And just like nothing, a growl was heard from his left, eytukan dodged it effortlessly. He grabbed his hunting knife as he held his child tightly. Stxeli began to whimper in fear.
Taking a good look at what tried to attack him, it was a viper wolf. Not good. They always hunt in packs. Meaning there is more he doesn't see. Not waiting for the viper wolf to make its move, eytukan ran quickly. And like a trigger, many more viper wolves appeared from their hiding
spots.
This only made stxeli scream and cries out of fear. He would try to calm her, but right now her safety is his priority.
If he could just-
Eytukan couldn't go farther as another viper wolf stood in his way. He can't fight with his child in his arms. The animal releases a mocking laughter, ready to lunge at the father. But eytukan was faster. Jumping high, he reaches for a vine and begins to climb.
Stxeli was crying her little soul out, eyes puffy and cant seem to stop. Once eytukan reached high enough, he found a small nook in a tree. Perfect. Quickly he grabs giant leaves and makes a cushion for stxeli.
“Ssshhh ma’ite. I'm here, I won't let anything hurt you” eytukan promises. Gently rocking his daughter to soothe her fears. “See? We are safe, come now. I believe it is time for you to nap” he coos.
Hopefully she sleeps very soon, eytukan knows those viper wolves will find them. He took a wrong turn and now they are farther away from the village. He needs to drive them far away before he could proceed heading back. And there is only so much daylight left. He needs to think fast.
So he takes his songchord out and sways it in a hypnotizing way. Stxeli follows his songchord, her eyes moving side to side.
Hearing her fathers soft voice and his melody, stxeli closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.
Good.
Gently he places her in the nook of the tree, adding more leaves for her head, cover and hiding the entrance as a disguise. Looking at his songchord, eytukan places it in stxelis chubby little hand to which she grabs it tightly in her sleep.
Making sure he closes it well, he whispers a prayer.
“Great mother Eywa, please do not let the dangers reach my daughter. Protect as I will guide the viper wolves back to you”
And as if on cue, he can hear the distant mocking laughter of the pack. A plan began to form, moving away from where he hid stxeli, he yanks off a thick branch, and makes a weapon out of it.
Tumblr media
Viper wolves are vicious creatures where numbers are important. Attacking as one, will they get what they want equally. A clear strategy is there and it always works be it attacking a group, or a large prey.
But clearly they underestimate the mighty olo’eyktan.
One by one the viper wolves were taken down. Each slayed, and numbers dwindled in the pack.
Eytukan roared out as he brought the viper wolves back to their great mother. With his makeshift spear, tough woof and a sharp stone in front, he pierces the animals in the vital parts of their body.
What remained of the pack backed away and left. No longer seeing the worth of losing blood over one man. So they leave, running back to where they came from. And eytukan cries out his victory, raising his spear out to Eywa.
Falling to his knees, fresh blood paint on his hands and body, he prays to the animals he had to end. And to hope they make a safe travel when they meet with Eywa.
Tumblr media
Atokirina surrounded the little nook where eytukan placed stxeli, quickly climbing to reach her. Mentally slapping himself, who knows how much time has passed, it was dark and he wasnt sure how long he was knocked out.
However, he was forever grateful to see his precious daughter being protected by the great mother. Removing the leaves that hid her well, he looks inside.
Stxeli was wide awake, with his songchord in hand and a little atokirina floating playfully around her. Her contagious giggles melted away his worries. Noticing him, stxeli reaches out for him.
“Aba!” she calls out. Complying to her demand, he grabs her and holds her in his arms. Letting out groans of worry and relief. How close was he to losing another daughter. Gently stroking her soft little head, taking in her scent, its her. Stxeli is with him, alive and well.
“Thank you great mother, I am forever grateful to you” he says to the atokirina.
Eytakan was tired but he had to take stxeli back to the village before more danger lurks. So steadily, he makes it back. And does he have a story to tell. It might give mo’at a fightful scare, and probably a lecture. But it will be worth it. Any fight is worth it. All to keep his children safe.
And so, after arriving safely back to the village. Eytukan was right. Mo’at wouldn't stop lecturing him as she tended to his bloody wounds, shoving medicine in his scares and mouth. And neytiri wasn't too far off either. Giving her piece of mind to him too.
Yet after all that, he still clinged on to stxeli, who in return didn't want to be apart from him and happily clinged on to him too. Her little head always listening to his heart beat, while chewing on his songchord beads.
So, in the fit of the moment, he held stxeli up, where they eyes could meet. A little drool escaped the baby’s mouth, but she was happy either way. Cooing at her father, her little fingers tickling his nose. So, placing his forehead against her smaller head, eytukan speaks.
“As long I am alive ma’stxeli te taksha mo’at ite, I promise you I will protect you. To make sure no harm ever comes to you. So please, smile, laugh, live at your best. Your happiness is my greatest gift. I love you forever. That is my vow. My promise”.

Something I think about when I'm sad:
Jake had already lost his brother and was in cryosleep on the way to Pandora.
Meanwhile, Neytiri watches her sister get shot and killed right in front of her, not knowing the love of her life is already on his way.

Something something Jake and Neytiri both losing their older siblings who were destined for great things and then being thrust into their places and having whatever they had planned for themselves disregarded as powers higher than their own gave them a job they weren't quite qualified for but it helped them find each other and they took solace in that bada bing bada boom soulmates from across the stars. Anyway Tommy and Sylwanin are looking down on them smiling.

First ask, but I really wanna share this bit of hurt/comfort.
So what if spider saved Neteyam's life at the cost of his own? So spider dies and is taken by Eywa. Someone is waiting for him. It's not Paz(though that's for his sake, not hers) or anyone he actually knew. Instead, there sitting in a small clearing in the forest, are two Na'vi preparing for a hunt. Spider doesn't want to intrude, but then they turn to him. It's Eytukan and Sylwanin and they're smiling at him. They beckon him closer and teach him things he couldn't have learned from a distance(like everything he had learned) and then they take him on a hunt. The whole time referring to him as Grandson and Nephew respectively. Even if Jake and Neytiri hadn't actually claimed him, they had.
oh fuck... this is so sweet oml.
they saw spider as the gift he was, the way their daughter/sister and son-in-law/brother-in-law were too blind to see. they accepted him, because he deserved to be part of the family in one life or another.
eytukan keeping a heavy but soothing hand on spider's back whenever he could, sylwanin flashing him proud spiles and flciking him with her tail gently. both correcting the little habits he had picked up over years of learning on his own with gentle words and gentler hands, never once letting him feel shame. sylwanin nicknames him immediately "hi'i'taronyu", "little hunter" (she wanted to call him taronyutsyìp [which is just the affectionate term use for kids] but he said that was too childish)
I can imagine sylwanin bringing spider back to whatever sort of home they have in eywa/the afterlife and having to scold tsu'tey for being a dick, not cause he doens't like the the boy, that's just how he is until you learn to see past his front, and she's gotta be like "he's just a baby, knock it off"
just spider feeling safe and loved and wanted after years of being so alone. dying sucked but he was home now, and he wasn't taking the time to over analyze that right now, he was going to enjoy his time with his ancestors, his family.
and lets just say, they didn't let him visit with jake and neytiri for a while, he's pretty sure they chewed them out pretty bad... but he see's kiri a lot, neteyam too as he feels guilty for what happened. lo'ak and tuk visit him often, both of them are always happy to see him smiling, not just his lips, his whole face is smiling, glowing, they're happy he's happier.

Memories were beautiful. Now that you were growing older and older you loved to reminisce about your past. Well, partially. Especially the days when you met your mates.
It was one of those days; with a bow in your hand you ran into the forest. You noticed the large rock barrier that blocked your way so you decided to back up and slung your bow around your torso. Letting out a breath of air you jump up to the rock, hoisting yourself up you reach the top then throw yourself over, letting yourself fall from the height.
Landing feet first, you laugh in amazement that you managed to do that. But someone didn't find it very amusing, a loud shriek could be heard from behind you. Turning around you noticed Mo'at glaring you down. Oh Eywa. Many na'vi were fearful of her, her presence was strong and confident. Mo'at was always a serious na'vi, her mother was a skilled weaver with a sharp attitude and her father was a very skilled hunter.
But other then that, you didn't fear her you found her interesting. Since the moment you've laid eyes on you've always thought of her, she was very captivating. Every moment you were near her in any way you froze, your heart pounded, you felt as if you had thousands of kenten in your stomach, and worst of all you felt hot. Like on humid days in the forest while being on a hunt. The worst.
Your breath caught in your throat when you noticed Mo'at approaching you. She raised a hand and shooed you away. 'Oh!' You gasp and stagger away from her.
'Look at what you did!' Mo'at's tone was harsh, she bent down to where you were standing earlier. You noticed the spilled medical herbs and the broken basket that lay flat on the floor. Once your brain pieced two and two together you gasped out and immediately went on your knees to help her. You scrambled around to pick up every piece of the medical herbs off the ground. Mo'at leaned back when she noticed that you decided to take on the task to pick up the remaining herbs she reached for the broken basket. She 'tsked' when she noticed it was unrepairable. Looking back to you she noticed you had your arms full of the plants she collected.
Letting out a small sigh she approached you once again, reaching out to you with both hands. 'Let me help you.' But you shook your head quickly. 'I can carry them all!'
Mo'at wanted to convince you to let them go but you held your ground. The rest of the day in the forest you followed Mo'at around helping her by holding the herbs she picked out. From that time on you had stuck to Mo'at but she didn't mind it, she loved being around you.
Today you were on the training grounds. You held your bow, drawing back the arrow you let out a small exhale then let it go. Watching as the arrow dug deep into the bark of the tree, you smile widely at your victory.
'You are very skilled with a bow ___.'
You ears and tail shot up in surprise when a voice came from behind you. Turning around in swift move you noticed it was Eytukan. Letting out a sigh of relief you chuckle softly.
'But it seems that you aren't very good with your tracking skills.' Eytukan didn't reciprocate your laugh and your smile faded. Was that an insult? You searched his face for any disdain on his face but he seemed stone-face. You both stood in an uncomfortable silence for a little while longer until you just turned your back on him and speed-walked away from him. You were sweating arrows at this point trying to get away from him.
After that small encounter every time you went to train he'd be there simply watching you. At first you were weirded out but then got used to it, oddly enough. Sometimes he'd join you in hunting parties as well the both of you would bring back the best meat to feed the entire clan. During those hunts the both of you got along well he helped you improve in your tracking skills and you... Yeah you kept him company. Eytukan enjoyed to have you around it was a nice change since everyone acted so anxious around him.
You knew that Eytukan and Mo'at had an arranged mating. Sometimes you watched as they interacted from time to time but that was all. You were jealous obviously. You hated how Eytukan was taking Mo'at from you. But you never voiced it out. It was destined for them to be together, Mo'at was already ready to become Tsahik and Eytukan was chosen to be Olo'eyktan by his own father.
At times it would be the three of you hanging out. Eykutan would carve more arrows for the both of you, Mo'at would work on her herbs and whisper small prayers, and you would just watch either of them doing their thing or sleep. The more you hung out with both you couldn't help but fall head over heels in love with them both. It surprised you when you felt the same you did with Mo'at and Eytukan. But it was all a fantasy to you. Both Eytukan and Mo'at were meant to be you aren't apart of them, or that's what you thought.
Both Eytukan and Mo'at were aware of your feelings for them, It was no secret, everyone knew. One day they both discussed it and they decided that they'd love to be mated with you. They decided on the day of the hunting festival they'll ask you.
They day of the festival was delighting. You danced the night away with many na'vi and ate a lot. Oh Eywa you loved these festivals. But what you enjoyed most was spending time with Eytukan and Mo'at after the festival. You guys walked above a small river stream as you hopped from rock to rock. Eytukan walked in front of you both, taking in the scenery. You in the middle and Mo'at behind you both, watching out for you just in case you don't fall into the stream.
'It seems like you had a lot of fun, ___' Mo'at's voice was gentle as her hand grazed your back. 'I did! Hunting festivals never get old!' You turn around and walked backwards, grabbing a hold of both of Mo'at hands. She smiled warmly at you and nodded, turning back around you still held onto her hand.
'Hey, Eytukan! Where are we going?' You reach forward to his arm and wrapped your own arm with his. He merely patted your hand and lowly spoke. 'You will see.'
Letting out a confused snort you turn to Mo'at who shrugged her shoulders. The more you walked into the beautiful forest with both of your close friends you noticed the familiar path to the Tree of Voices. No matter how much you'd been to the Tree of Voices you'd always be amazed by it's beauty. Letting go of both of your friends you raced up the trail, numerous kenten flew as you thrashed your arms around.
Turning back around you waited at the top of the trail for both Eytukan and Mo'at. They both smiled widely at you; your joyfulness spreading to them. Soon enough they were by your side again but now were touching the tendrils of the tree. You grab a handful of them already hearing the voices of your ancestors; their songs and prayers. It was beautiful. Mo'at grabbed the same tendrils in her own smaller hand.
'Our mating ritual is close by.' She stated so causally but you visibly flinched. But you didn't say anything back, you had no say in their mating. You were jealous, obviously. Your love grew from Mo'at to Eytukan so it hurt your heart that you couldn't have them at all.
Eytukan approached from behind you and placed a hand on your shoulder. 'Has anyone started courting you, ___?' But you shook your head. 'No... Not yet.' You smile sadly, looking down at the ground. Eytukan hums softly, removing his hand from your shoulder he placed his hand on your chin, turning you around to face him. You were caught by surprise, ears perked up and your tail swished side to side.
'Well then, you will be free to mate with us then, right?'
Your eyes went wide and your jaw went slack. You're dreaming. This isn't real is what you thought. If you were dreaming then your mind tricked you with the most heart-breaking dream. That's when two hands held your both of your shoulders softly. 'So?' Mo'at whispered lightly in your ear.
Eytukan removed his hand so you could move your head to face Mo'at. This is real. Looking from Mo'at and Eytukan you frowned deeply. 'I can't.' Mo'at's hands unclenched from your shoulders then she walks around you so she could face you. Eytukan's lips formed into a thin line in confusion.
'What are you saying?' Mo'at looks concerned her brows narrowed together and her breath shook. And Eytukan nodded along, urging for an answer.
It takes you a minute to build up the strength to say something. Opening your mouth your breath shook and your chest tightened. 'If we do the elders wouldn't allow it.' Both of them sigh Mo'at reaches forward and grabs your cheeks pulling you forward. Her lips tenderly touched you right cheek then to your left. 'Do not worry, ___.'
'Yes.' Eytukan mumbled and walked around the both of you so he could stand behind you. His hand engulfed your head and tenderly kissed your head.
That night was special. You had never felt so loved before. When you all formed tsaheylu you burst into tears. You loved them both so so much.
When returning to the hometree the next morning you were terrified. What would the elders say? Would they take away Eytukans and Mo'ats right to leadership? Would they cast you away? All these questions filled you with anxiety but they both dragged you along.
It went way easier then expected. The elders knew beforehand about what Eytukan and Mo'at were planning to do and they approved. It was all you imagined and you loved it.
Years went by and now Eytukan and Mo'at were officially leaders of the clan. You were the best hunter of the clan; you were in charge of setting out hunting patrols and such. Back then Mo'at had given birth to Sylwanin. She was a gorgeous girl. Her heart desired to follow the steps of her mother, learning the way of healing.
When she was born you'd play with her daily. At times Mo'at or Eytukan had to rip her away from you because she needed rest as well. Even after the birth of your daughter and your lover's leaderships you found a way for all of you to escape of your duties. At night you'd all do the things you used to do when you were younger.
Then came the second birth of your daughter, Neytiri. She had gotten her looks from her mother, her attitude for her father, and she had gotten her personality from you. The moment she was able to hold a bow you'd both run off into the forest you taught her many many things.
Years went by and you watched as your daughters grew older but your love for your mates stayed the same. Like when you were younger you started sticking by your mate's sides. While Mo'at was away in her tent you and Eytukan watched over the clan.
'Look!' You yelled out and pointed to your eldest daughter, Sylwanin. But someone was stuck by her side. Eytukan looked up from his fruit and he leaned forward for a closer look. 'Ah, Tsutey.' He nodded it off and went back to peeling away to peels off his fruit.
'No!' You grabbed his arm and pulled him forward. 'Look how touchy he is with her!' Eytukan stopped once again and gave you a 'are you serious' look. But nevertheless he looked forward again. 'Oh!' Eytukan placed his fruit to the side and sat closer to your side. Watching the interaction between Tsutey and your daughter.
You giggle and lean into Eytukan. 'Look at them! They look adorable right?' To you it was absolutely adorable even thought it irked you a bit. But Sylwanin was only 11 so you didn't expect anything serious. Eytukan hummed softly, his own lips formed into a small smile. Reaching forward he placed a hand on your head and brought you closer, pressing a tender kiss on your cheek. 'Awe.' You giggle again and wave him away.
Eytukan returned to his fruit and began eating it. As you continued watching them a loud voice erupted from behind you two. 'Sa'sem!' Looking back you saw Neytiri running and then jumped on top of you. You let out a loud gasp and grab Neytiri's head. 'Hey! You're going to break my back!'
'No, I'm not. You're so dramatic, Sa'sem!' The eight year old Neytiri, laughed loudly and cuddled her cheek onto your head. You sigh dramatically and let go of your youngest daughter. Eytukan laughs softly and runs his hand through his daughter's braids. She laughs and places herself in between her parents. 'What are we looking at, Sa'sem?'
You pointed toward the way of your firstborn daughter who now giggled at whatever Tsu'tey said. Neytiri let out a hum of understanding and leaned forward like you did. 'So? What's the plan?' You raise a brow towards her and then smirk. But Eytukan let out numerous amount of 'tut's you both turn to him and he was shaking his head.
'Leave them be you two.' He raised a brow towards your way, giving you an expecting look. You sigh and roll your eyes playfully towards Neytiri, who giggled.
'Fine then. Let's go, Neytiri.' You shrug a shoulder towards Eytukan, grabbing your daughters hand you walked away from him. He let out a grunt but still called after you both. 'Be home before eclipse and be careful!'
With that you both laugh loudly and take off. Neytiri was quick when she ran between the trees but you were quicker. You chased after your daughter eventually catching up to her you lunged forward and bring her into your arms. You laugh loudly as she shrieked and thrashed in your arms. 'Gotcha!' Neytiri pulled at your braids, begging for you to let her go. Finishing your evil laugh you drop her to the ground and she lands on her feet.
For a minute she just stares up at you menancingly. Her eyes were squinted, her lips formed into a pout, and her ears pressed against her skull. You snicked to yourself as you imagine her to be a tiny thanator. Without warning Neytiri pounces you which caught you by surprise. You cry out and pull at the toddler but she didn't let go of your face. As you back up you tripped on a small log and fell back, you landed with a painful huff. But you still had to rip away Neytiri. She was furiously pulling at your braids as you cried out. Well on your side it didn't hurt but you had to play along.
It wasn't long until Neytiri grew tired. She panted loudly as she lay ontop of your stomach and you lay limply on the ground. You had you eyes shut and your tongue hung out your mouth, 'playing dead.' She let out a victory ululate as she looked at your 'dead' body. But it grew quiet so you peered an eye open to see Neytiri now laying beside you. You fully opened your eyes to see that you daughter's breaths grew slower. Looking up at the sky you noticed the sun was now going down then to your daughter you poked at her cheek. 'You tired?' You mumbled softly to which she hummed.
You groaned in exasperation, wishing you could've played more but nevertheless you got up. Crouching down to your daughter you gently pick her up, her arms wrapped around your neck so she made she didn't fall in any way. With a hum you softly held her, patting her back you started walking back to the village. In no time you returned to your family mauri upon arriving Neytiri was fast asleep her drool, dripping on your shoulder. You carefully climbed to the mauri and inside you saw Mo'at preparing the food. Her head turned once she noticed you shadow entering the mauri.
You smiled at as she approached you both. Reaching a hand toward her you caressed her cheek and she cuddled into it. You both lean in and press a short tender kiss against each other's lips then Mo'at moves to press a small kiss to Neytiri's face. You nudge Mo'at nose with your fingers once more and then move around her to put Neytiri to bed. Once you laid her in the family hammock you returned back to Mo'at.
Wrapped your arms around her you press firmly against your body. She sighed as she stopped what she was doing to savor the moment. 'Missed you.' You mumble and press a small kiss on her temple. Mo'at nodded her head, she missed you too. Both of you stayed that way until Mo'at decided she needed to finish preparing the food. You decided to stay out of her way because you knew Mo'at hated when you'd pick at the food or sneaking tiny pieces of food away so you could eat it.
Grabbing the bow you're currently carving you gently scraped away the wood with your hunting knife. Too engrossed in your work you didn't notice your eldest daughter and mate walk in. Not until you felt two small hands on your shoulder, pushing you down. 'Hey, Sa'sem!' Looking up from your work you notice Sylwanin and smile.
'Hello, little one.' You beam at her and wait until she moves to sit next to you. Until the food was ready Sylwanin decided to speak about her entire day. But seemed to leave out Tsu'tey but you ignored it. You'll tease her about it later. When Mo'at announced the food was ready you sent Sylwanin for Neytiri and you helped bring out the food. Passing Eytukan you give him a small peck on his lips to which he returns.
The rest of the night was rather pleasant. You all ate Mo'at's delicious food and went to the family hammock. Eytukan laid by your left side and Mo'at on your right, Sylwanin laid on top of Eytukan and Neytiri laid on top of both you and Mo'at. You were so content with you family. As you drifted to sleep you felt two pairs of lips at the temples of your head and then soon you fade into sleep.

A:TWoW Spoilers
I think a lot of the ways Jake treats the boys can be explained (not always excused) through seeing them as himself and Tom. I don’t know if Tom was older (it wouldn’t matter, anyway), but I do feel like he often took that role upon himself: took care of Jake and took responsibility for him. I’ve always felt that they didn’t have the best relationship with their parents. I don’t really have evidence for this, at least other than Jake’s closeness to Tom and lack of interest shown in his parents. (Then again, Sylwanin isn’t even mentioned in the regular original. There was just too much to say in three hours.) This relationship could also explain some of his issues with parenting, which he overall did manage to do a good job with. He sees himself in Lo’ak: the impulsivity, bravery, passion, and sometimes stupidity. Neteyam is quieter, more responsible. I think that Jake seriously looked up to Tom, and had a lot of self-esteem problems when he was young. Lo’ak tells Tsireya that he feels like Jake doesn’t actually understand him. I don’t think that’s true. I think he does understand, for the most part, what makes Lo’ak tick. He just doesn’t kow what to do about it. And then, they lose Neteyam, like Jake lost Tom (and just like Neytiri lost Sylwanin).
