Slugterra Cast Age Headcanons

All ages aside from Tad's (13) and Eli's (16) are purely headcanon

However, there is many cast who are confirmed to be adults or teens, such as Trixie and Billy as teens and Junjie as an adult.

Personal headcannon that Tad constantly brags about knowing the Shane secret but absolutely refuses to tell anyone what it is. So no-one actually believes him until a quip mid battle happens and Eli and the gang are like “yeah he knows.”

Like:

Someone with tad at the moment (twist or something idk): well it’s lucky you know the Shane secret cause that would help SO MUCH right now

Eli: how would that help you right now?

Guy with tad: what? Wait he ACTUALLY knows???

Eli: yeah?

GWT (turning to face Tad): WHY HAVENT YOU TOLD US WHAT IT IS?!?

Tad: YOU DONT NEED TO KNOW. SHUT UP AND GET RID OF THEM

So now people who join/work for Tad are just eternally wondering WHAT the fuck happened for Tad to:

1) KNOW the Shane secret

2) REFUSE to tell anyone what it is

This is all considering that twist was probably with the gang for longer than Tad and doesn’t know the secret. So everyone’s between considering Tad a master of sleuthing/manipulation to get that out of Eli, wondering if the secret is some genuinely terrifying information (I guess in a roundabout way the Shane’s know when the world will end cause basically every grade schooler has an existential crisis when they find out the sun is gonna explode in 5 billion years), and wondering if there even is a Shane secret at this point if blakk’s kid “knows” it but refuses to tell anyone. (Side headcannon that people think the Shane secret is literally just an excuse to not tell people random things and isn’t an actual secret. It’s just a long standing inside joke that’s gotten out of control).

This fact of Tad knowing the Shane Secret causes a meltdown on the SlugNet.

All the conspiracy sights and news outlets are losing it because if Tad Blakk knows, and is refusing to share- dose that mean the Shane Secrets arnt as coveted at they thought? Is it just- random crap? Dose it mean there's nothing? Was it all a waist of time????

plot holes regarding pieper

if tad was telling the truth, how did pieper end up on the Surface?

if pieper's element is air (as we assume it would be), wouldn't have tad noticed pieper turning into a ghoul temporarily? yet he didn't ask about it

at the end of Into the Shadows, pieper remained in velocimorph form for a while even when they were fully in the Deep Caverns, despite Burpy & Co not being able to transform at all (they had to ghoul them so the dark energy there wouldn't affect them). is pieper not affected by the deep caverns? why?

pieper is the first slug of her kind, but we don't know where she actually comes from.

Tell me about your version of tad mom?

What I have so far is that Dr. Blakk had a partner with whom he hid the true nature of his business (kinda like Kingping in ITSV). When she found out, she was already pregnant with Tad and so ran away, now fearing the man she loved.

But no matter where she hid, Dr. Blakk would always find her. He did, after all, have contacts everywhere.

So she decided to go to the only person who could save her, Will Shane. After explaining her situation, Will realized that there was no true safe place for her in Slugterra and decided to take her to the Surface where she could start a new life.

Everything was great at first, Will checking in on her regularly and helped her adjust to Surface life, eased her paranoia of Dr. Blakk finding her.

But once Will Shane disappeared, things started to go downhill. Now, alone, her paranoia started to grow, and she began drinking to ease her fears.

The household started to deteriorate, and Tad had an unstable life at home, hence why he never wanted to go back.

And with that, I fill the plot hole of how Tad got to the Surface. Yippeeee

An interesting follow up to into the shadows would be both Eli and Tad getting sucked into the deep caverns and basically racing to see who can rescue their dad and get back to Slugterra faster, followed by Blakk vs Shane family drama of keeping the Blakks and the Dark Bane away from the surface.

So, let’s imagine this scenario in another AU: Tad would be around 18 when Theodore is born, and if they were to meet when Theodore is 15, Tad would be about 33.

They’d probably be shocked to discover they’re half-brothers, especially since Tad doesn’t exist in my story. At first, they may not get along and may seem confused or even hostile, given their different upbringings. Tad might resent Theodore for having the life he never had, while Theodore could be curious or conflicted about this "brother" he never knew existed

Even though I didn’t include Tad in my story, I’ve definitely thought about this idea before. It’s an interesting 'what-if' scenario 🔥😁 🤝

(Yandere or (normal) romantic) Twist/Tad x Reader (and maybe platonic/familial yandere Eli Shane? you can choose to add this)?

Reader is Eli Shane's Twin younger sis and has a favorite slugs (White BoonDoc & Negashade Slug, or you can change her slugs)

Reader's can be cheerful, optimistic, and strong-willed, but can also be naive/oblivious and indecisive. Though she dislikes violence but she's no pushover & can be passive-aggressive or fight back if necessary for safety and survival. She's smart and tries to outwit those who have power over her. (or maybe similar to Yui Komori's). She's also has patient, respectful, and kind, and she didn't fear the Shadow clans. she even has ghoul slugs who have been found by her when she was first meeting & have them until she finds a Cure for them, when she and the shane gang does, she offers the ghoul slugs if they willing to return to their original serves. She even treated her normal slugs & Ghoul slugs equally, at some point the ghoul slugs loves her, as well as respect and protective of her, that they're willing to return to her stead.

Twist/Tad Blakk x Shane! Reader

Reader: female

Warnings: some spoilers from the movies, i haven't write for this fandom in AGES SO some things may be unnacurante.

Twist

• Twist is someone simple, spiteful, and very stubborn. When he originally came with Shane's gang, he was more than willing to use anyone and everyone for his plan to get revenge on Will.

• He has nothing personal against Eli or his team, but things have a price, and if Will Shane's children had to pay for things in his place, so be it.

• However, from the beginning, he could notice a couple of things... strange, with the two of them.

• Eli was easy, very reliable, a goody-two-shoes. That was something he expected. What Twist didn't expect was his sister's behavior.

• While Eli was quick to trust Twist, reader not only scolded him for that, but said they couldn't be sure he wasn't working for someone else (smart girl, she could be useful, she could be a nuisance).

• On the other hand, reader was much more reserved, sometimes he didn't even realize she was there. Well, except for certain moments when she caught his interest.

• For example, when they were passing by her lair, Twist could see the slugs that reader had, including ghoul ones. When he tried to express “concern” at the idea of reader’s slugs being contaminated, reader seemed almost offended, as she told him that her slugs preferred to be like that, and that she loved them anyway.

• That was strange, but at the same time, quite intriguing. So he kept his eyes close to reader, wanting to know more about this girl.

• When they went to the Shane lair, reader seemed less insecure around him, she tried to make him feel comfortable and talk to him about topics both related to the mission, and more general things.

• Twist had to admit, it was great to be able to talk civilly with someone more sensible, someone more genuine. Seeing the way reader didn’t look down on her “evil” slugs but accepted them with all their baggage, was something that made him respect her. Even if he had malicious motives against her family.

• All in all, Twist could sense that Reader didn't fully trust him, which was another aspect that earned her his respect. She was a kind and gentle girl, but she could also attack him at any moment, she wanted to believe that he was a good man, but she was more than ready in case it was all a farce.

• She wasn't a scared little girl hiding behind her brother, she was a Shane.

• All of this gave a feeling of adrenaline that Twist hadn't felt in a long time, he liked it.

• You can bet, after Twist betrays the Gang, every time he runs into Reader, he takes every opportunity to flirt or talk to her with a different kind of intention. She could be very valuable on the right side, you know?

• Obviously this usually ends with a slug kicking his ass (either by Reader or by the rest of the gang) but Twist isn't Twist if he isn't stubborn.

• Hopefully, Reader's influence will make him a better person over time, she wants to believe that he's not a bad person after all. He knows it too. But he has his own reasons, he's not going to give them up for her... at least not yet.

• It's like a game of tug-of-war, to see who switches sides first.

• I like to think that at least Reader manages to influence Twist enough so that he not only doesn't hurt the Gang, but saves their skin several times. He does it with the excuse that it's because he only cares about Reader (a possible acquisition to Blakk's ranks, obviously! NOTHING MORE!), but over time no one believes it anymore.

• You can bet that Twist looks like a lovesick puppy every time Reader has to kick someone's ass, he just stares at her with a dumb face while Reader shoots her launcher at some poor soul. Ah, so feminine.

• It seems that rejection only makes him more insistent, and it takes a lot of patience to fix it, so good luck with it.

Tad Blakk

• LISTEN TO ME, TAD AND READER MEETING ON THE SURFACE.

• Imagine being reader, your father disappeared when you were little, your mother abandoned you, and now, a year ago, your twin brother left to fulfill the “family legacy” that was precisely what made both their father disappear from their lives.

• Yeah, I wouldn't be happy either. Honestly, reader loves Eli, but she also feels abandoned and alone.

• It's probably around this time that reader and Tad meet, precisely being the few who know the secret of Slugterra (without being aware yet of the unstable relationship between their families).

• This was probably what caused reader and Tad to be the few people in each other's lives, they were the only ones who understood what they were going through. They wanted to know more about their families, about Slugterra, so they began to look for the tunnels that will take them there with the help of Pieper.

• Reader is probably one of the few people on the surface (and in the world in general) that Tad not only acts genuinely friendly to, but sees as someone on his level, someone worthy of accompanying him to Bajoterra. Even after finding out what happened to his father.

• He KNOWS that Reader is not to blame, in fact, Reader probably feels sorry for what Eli did (because she doesn't have the full context) and that makes her want to go to Bajoterra even more.

• They prepared the whole operation together, they planned what they were going to do in Bajoterra once they got there, they even put together a glider suit for Reader too! All just so they could go together.

• When they “arrive” and it's time to act, Reader is genuinely happy to see her brother okay, but again, there's still some resentment for everything I said above (along with Tad's skewed view, which makes Eli look like the bad guy in the story). So even if she's happy to be there with him, she's obviously colder than usual.

• reader probably got attached to some ghoul slug she ran into when they were fixing the Blakk base with Tad, and took her with her. This caused quite a scandal with Eli who wanted to cure the slug, but the reader kept trying to avoid him in order to respect her slug's wishes. Causing the tension between twins to increase.

• Tad, honestly, doesn't care. On the contrary, considering she's his "partner" he sees it as a good thing that she can easily win over the ghoul ones, even making them want to protect her.

• (probably thanks to this reader she has a nickname similar to "mermaid" for her charms).

• When the time comes to dismantle the farce, Eli probably thinks that reader was kidnapped or forced to participate by Tad. But no, she was more than willing, after all, at least Tad wasn't going to abandon her like Eli (and his parents) did, that was the important thing. (Needless to say, Eli is more than broken.)

• When they're trying to destroy the gang, reader tries to distract Eli to get him away from Tad, which works halfway because, after all, Eli has been there longer, so it's easy to neutralize her.

• Fortunately! Tad is quick to come to reader's rescue with the machine gun :)

• God, the stairs scene would probably be much more painful with reader on it, just reprimanding Eli for having left her behind, for having followed the same path that took their father away from them, telling him that this was his fault. But that she forgave him. Obviously, he only had to let her get away with it ONE time...

• Unfortunately, Eli knows that he can't let that happen, not even for her.

• When the dark water core collapses, reader tries to save her slugs when they fall near the well. But the floor crumbles where she is standing, without realizing it, she falls inwards.

• And she saw it, Eli didn't even want to see her fall….

• But Tad did. And he went after her.

• They didn't know how long they were falling before Piper woke them up, only that now they were in a deeper, darker place.

• Huh, at least there was the bright side, they had their own personal playground where they could plan the next heist.

• As Tad told her “everything is going to be just fine.”

Hobbies for the Shane Gang

This is excluding slinging training, since a majority would say that's their hobby. Also are very much headcanon outside of a minute few

Eli: Guitar playing (he's still a beginner), drawing (doodles a lot), play Slugball (Kord teaches him so much), parkour, surfing (both Geoshard and regular!)

Trixie: Gaming, blogging, film-making (obvious), dancing (she'd feel incredibly embarrassed if any of the others found out), cooking (those killer cave fritters are a Shane Gang favourite)

Kord: Tinkering with household electronics/mechanics (the amount of times the toaster has been broken...), gaming (still can't beat Trixie), playing Slugball, working out (Eli is his spotter, true bros)

Pronto: Cooking & baking (some of it is hits, others... not so much), fashion blogging, making powerpoints about how amazing he is, scrapbooking (mainly of himself, but he does have a scrapbook dedicated to his friends), drawing (his skills pay bills when he's focused)

And bonus ex-members/honorary members!

Junjie: Meditation, story telling, Geoshard surfing, helping around Drucilla's workshop, wood carving

Tad: Gaming, soccer, tinkering, graffiti, exploring abandoned/out of bounds places

Twist: Playing card games, playign guitar (is better than Eli at it), Slugball (Go Blade City Brutes!), drink-mixing (like making sodas. Terrianade...), parkour

If the shane gang (plus tad, twist, and junjie) had childern in the future, what kinda dad's (and or mom) would they be like?

I have actually thought about this.

A lot.

Believe it or not.

Eli: He's a good dad. Eli has more or less decided that he's staying in Slugterra, he doesn't have to do what his dad did, in leaving the Caverns for periods of time to spend with his kid. but it dose raise some concerns. I see Eli being very protective. And he is really trying to be present in his kids life more often then his own dad was in his own. Then there's the Shane Secrets, I think Eli would be open with them as the kid gets older, he keeps the 'no slinging till 15 rule', there are a few things Eli will let the kid figure out themselves, but I don't think he'll say a thing about the 'Burning World' unless absolutely necessary, after all why tell when heading Top Side isn't really important? And I see that causing problems down the line. over all he is trying his best, and is a lot more present.

Trixie: best mom! she is a little strict but someone has to make sure the kid has some common cense. Trixie is going to document every moment of that kids life. she is going to be exited if her kid shares a love of film making, and would tech them everything she knows. See her encou raging the kid to try new things, and finding their own path outside of Trixie's own heroics.

Kord: top tier wish he was my dad. Kord is the dad. much like Trixie he's a little strict but, again, kid's gotta have some rules to live by. he will teach them everything he knows about engineering, especially how to make a Jetpack out of a Mecha Beast. 'you never know!'. Kord has also been shown to be real perceptive so I don't think the kid's are going to have an easy time hiding things from him.

Pronto: He is surprisingly okay at being a father. he's got the tails to tell at bedtime, the dad jokes locked in. and can and will stab someone if they mess with his kid. and, I guess, this dose mean the kid is like, the prince/princess/heir of Molemound? so their probably going to get spoiled lol. and I bet Pronto is going to make it a whole deal of them following in his foot steps as a tracker, maybe feign a little jealousy is the kid turns out to be a better tracker be Pronto is like, super proud. he will constantly bring up having navigated the Cavern of Time to the time it gets to be that one story the kid and their friend's dread hearing and sigh/roll their eyes when Pronto starts to monolog. all in all, Pronto loves his kid, they may get on his nerves but he wouldn't have it any other way.

Junjie: GIRL DAD GIRL DAD GIRL DA- *Cough - Cough* sorry, just had to get that out. Nervous wreck of a man. but he's doing his best damn it. I keep going back to it, but the Goon messed him up man. he is afraid, even after all this time he's going to mess this kid up, and hurt them. He dose not want what happened to him to happen to his kid, so Junjie is protecting them by having them learn and master Slug-Fu or so help him.

Twist: Congratulations Twist and his rat self is raising a expert survivalist and con artist. Once a street rat always a street rat. While the 'home situation' may be stable atm, Twist preps his kid for whatever he can think of. Twist 2.0 one might say. over all Twist care's, and dose not what his kid to go through what he did. oh and, depending on the context, a rivalry with Eli's kid is encouraged lol. the embodiment of;

"Sir, your child got into a fight at lunch"

"... Okay, but did they win?"

kids real good at acting as well :)

Tad: has had time to reflect, and after everything, he's trying to brake by cycle. He has his moments, Tad isn't always sure what he's doing, he is constantly asking the others(if able to) about what he should do. Tad dose try to hide most of the Blakk legacy from the kid, but it ends up crashing down on the kid sooner or later, and at that point... best to deal with each revelation as it happens.

over all, they would make sure their kids where ready for whatever there world threw at them, but hope that they never had to deal with anything on the level of what they did.

History must not repeat itself. They all worked too hard for that to happen.

So, now that Tad is confirmed to be 13 (why was this information hidden for so long aha), I wanna say that, in my fanon, he is 14, only one year younger than Eli. Dw, 14 year old are just as dramatic as 13 year olds lol

But, he skipped a grade, so he is in the same cohort as Eli and Sarai.

Why? Bcs it's more fun that way :3 plus he's smart enough to skip grades lol
