Pair: Yandere Taehyung × Obsessed Reader

Rainy season has touched South Korea, although many people hated rain Kim Taehyung was not one of them. And it was for variants of reasons.

He unintentionally looked at the door as if his eyes were waiting for her. The longing of seeing her was so much that he started hallucinating her standing at door, all drenched, her outfit clearly showing cleavage and her palm all bloody - wait! What?!.

Taehyung snapped out of his imagination while he saw you standing there in real. He quickly got up after he realised that you were crying for help. The junior officer, Choi Yeonjun who was standing beside can't help but cringe. You were coming into police station regularly since two weeks.

And even a blind person can figure out you were in love with officer Kim. He just saw you as a silly girl who was begging for attention. People will say he's too harsh but looking at you clinging on officer Kim like your life depends on it, he was sure.

Taehyung doesn't know what to do, you were crying - probably fake. He knows you by now. And complaining about some unknown person who harmed you. Him being a gentleman gave you a handkerchief and told you to sit on the other side to write a report. Thankfully Yeonjun was already out when hugged him.

"So, did you see their faces?" Taehyung asked the question even after being sure that this was self harm.

Taehyung massaged his head, loudly breathing through his nose. He remembered the night he met you - some goons had attacked you. You were lucky that he was nearby. He fought with them in his regular black tshirt with leather jacket. It was raining so it went all slow motion for you. Your knight in shining armor was nothing less compared to heroes in films.

He lend you his jacket to make you feel more safe. And there were butterflies in your stomach as he made such move. You asked for cleaning his little wounds to touch him, feel his muscles and he thought you were just being kind.

After that night you visited the police station as he told you he works there. You brought him luxurious gifts just simply on the name of being saved. Only if he knew you already gone for him.

He thought it was cute. After that day, she seemed to be everywhere—offering him homemade cookies, dropping by the precinct with lunch, giving him luxurious gifts here and there even if he refused.

You stood up and left the police station. Your hand was taken care by him while you were expressing your agony.

It's been awhile, taehyung hadn't seen you. Who was he kidding tho it was just second day of you not visiting him.

Taehyung couldn't believe you didn't come the other day after argument. He thought you will enter with your sunshine smile and homemade cookies in your hand, flirting with him by openly calling him baby and talking dirty just to make him blush.

On the first day of your disappearance, he was astonished not founding you by his office door with some notorious idea to see him but he became busy to stop the feeling, the feeling of loneliness. He was surrounded by people but at the same time he wasn't. It was like you had his identity, and that somehow made him happy.

The second day was normal for everyone but not Taehyung, not him.

At first, it was just a flicker of curiosity. He wondered where were you, what were you doing, why the heck you had finally listened to him. But as the day turned into night, that curiosity grew into something more—a strange, burning need to see you again.

The rain wasn't stopping and for the first time he felt like hating the rain for the first time. It can't be right?! He promised himself to be rain lover all his life.

He began to replay your encounters in his mind, each memory sharpened by the absence of your chaotic energy.

And then, the dreams started. Dreams where you was the one pulling away, where he was the one chasing you, begging for your attention. Each time he woke, his heart pounded in his chest, his sheets twisted and damp with sweat and maybe some white substance. He hated the way you had wormed your way into his thoughts, but he couldn’t stop it. The more he tried to push you away, the more you consumed him.

Soon, Taehyung found himself driving by your apartment, lingering outside the places you used to wait for him, hoping for a glimpse of the woman he had once been so desperate to escape.

The tables had turned, and now, it was Taehyung who was haunted by the obsession that had once belonged to her.

But except it wasn't just a normal obsession, it was intense. Seems like you didn't know about officer Kim Taehyung at all.

Stumbled across an interesting comment on a BTS update page I follow on instagram from a tkkr who remarked that Tae was getting too big, in a genuinely critical way (i wish I was joking) which got me thinking about several things.

It’ll be interesting to see how Tae‘s change in build impacts some TK shippers. Shippers in general are notorious for using the individuals in their ships as a vehicle to explore and manoeuvre their own fantasies. In queer ships the narrative for these individuals is usually based on heteronormative standards rather than considering queer dynamics (some jikookers do this too).

In short, for some shippers, the taller buff guy is the ‘man’/‘top’ and the smaller shorter guy is the ‘girl’/‘bottom’. Typically the individual that takes on the role of the ‘girl’ in these ships is the ‘self-insert’. She is the character that the shipper relates and projects unto. In Tkkrs case, ‘She’ is the main character of the ship and interchangeably takes on the role of the heroine and victim.

The physical characteristics of the individuals in these ships is important to the fantasy. As a girl/woman it makes it easier to relate to a slighter man than to a larger more muscular one. The larger man also represents the man that desires her. This is why TK writers and fan artists are a little notorious for writing and drawing Tae to be smaller than Jungkook despite them being about the same height. Or writing/drawing Tae with exaggerated features or with physical features he doesn’t have (that Jimin happens to).

Side note, but this is partly why I’d argue Jimin is usually cast in a role of antagonist to the tkk relationship. Jimin is the poster boy for androgyny and is comfortably able to embody the masculine and feminine. Jimin is already noticeably smaller than Jungkook, and has physical characteristics that many girls deem desirable i.e. slight build, pretty eyes, full lips, great ass etc. In this way Jimin is more closely ‘pretty like a girl’ than Tae is… add to that, the mutual attraction and strong bond between jikook and you have yourself the ‘villain’. In order for the fantasy for Tkkr shippers to be upheld, Jimin cannot be in communion with tkk even as friends as he will ‘tempt’ Jk away. Tae must put on the role as the ‘not like other girls’ girl in opposition to the ‘seductress’ Jimin to win the ‘alpha male’ Jungkook (🤢). This fantasy is a means for people to circumvent and subvert their own projected insecurities that they can’t do or deal with in real life.

Tae’s more muscular build is (great for me but) terrible for those TKK shippers with this fantasy because it brings into question the heteronormative foundation that they have built their ship. At the very minimum the guys need to have the same slight builds (as tae and jk used to have when they were younger), so their projections can remain in tact based on the shipper’s ideas of the boys personalities… but what happens if there are two ‘buff’ men in a relationship? What happens when the ‘girl’ becomes a man?

Fantasy breaks.

In reality, (where we, the queer people live), these aren’t even questions - this is internalised homophobia. What happens if they are two buff guys in a relationship? Well given that the couple is attracted to each other, then the two buff guys will continue dating, loving and sleeping with each other, as people in a relationship do. Gay couples having similar stronger physiques is soooo normal in queer relationships, but not so normal for their heteronormative fantasy where the man/top and girl/bottom characters and tropes are clearly defined.

As for outcomes, I think this visual dissonance is way more jarring than anything the boys have ever said or did in the past. As we all know Tae famously said ‘Get out your imagination’, but let’s visit mine for a moment. In my imagination, I can make up a narrative about what taehyung meant when he said that, or define what jikook did as fan service, or call the leaked taennie pictures photoshop. But what my imagination cannot do is alter the image of a person in my mind in the ‘present’. Our visual perception may make some inferences from memory, but it is mostly based on the most recent visual information we recieve in real time. Once we start to get regular content and see the boys freed from military service, it’s gonna be difficult to picture Tae in my imagination ‘as he once was’ instead of ‘how he is now’… and right now Taehyung is a big boyyoung man in his thirties, with a noticeable amount of muscle on him that he did not have before.

Do I think that this dissonance will dissuade all shippers with this particular fantasy - No… But do i think they will be a certain level of dissatisfaction with the ship now, absolutely! Dai and Shun are a couple from a Japanese show called ‘his man’ that are continuously questioned because of their (apparent) subversion of roles, as Dai is shorter but more muscular where Shun is a taller and slighter. Their comments are riddled with people asking for them to define the ‘top’ and ‘bottom’ in their relationship, and there’s discussion threads about the dynamics of their relationship. They still have a larger following but there’s a minority of people that are unhappy because they can’t tell. I think the same will apply here, people will be dissatisfied as they won’t be able to connect to the visual image in their imagination as much as they did before. That being said fan fiction writers and fan artists still exist, and I’m sure they will find a way to blame this on jimin somehow, so maybe not.

On the other hand, those people that take the ‘alpha/omega’ word as scripture, will not be able to get over the visual dissonance to continue with their ship. I have seen this happen in other fandoms before. These people are usually young girls who don’t realise that they’re using real people as a means of understanding and exploring their own sexuality. They usually begin to ship themselves with the individual or jump ship. I will not be surprised if we see an uptick of vmin shippers when the boys come back. Regardless of muscular growth, jimin will always be physically smaller than both tae and jungkook, and this, combined with his aforementioned androgyny, means he can always be cast in the role of the ‘girl’ (emphasising again that a lot of jikookers already partake in a similar fantasy).

To conclude this analysis does not cover all types of shippers. To be clear, there are also many tkkr shippers that don’t have this fantasy AT ALL, who will continue to move as crazy as they’ve always done. I’m still bitter about AYS not winning at iHeart awards but Tae’s Weverse post did make me feel better.

First of all, incredible analysis and opinion. A lot of the things you said are points I don’t think I had considered before, or at least I hadn’t looked at the subgroup and their motivations from that perspective. Or if I did, I don’t remember. It’s also true that we’ve talked about this a lot on this blog—or at least we used to. It’s funny because, even though we’ve discussed these dynamics so many times, there are always new angles to explore, new layers to uncover.

What you’re saying is really interesting because I’ve always thought that one of the main reasons the subgroup insists on shipping Jungkook and Tae together is because they both fit into the almost stereotypical image of a ‘modern manly man,’ but from two different perspectives: Jungkook primarily from a physical standpoint—his build, his strength, the way he moves and carries himself—and Tae from a personality and vibe standpoint, with his aura of confidence, charm, and self-assurance. It’s as if, for them, these two ‘types’ of masculinity are the ultimate combination, almost like a fantasy pairing created to appeal to a certain audience’s specific tastes.

I think the attraction to these two perspectives, or the urge to pair them together, comes from the fetishisation that many people have towards gay couples—specifically, the idea of ‘idealised’ gay relationships that fit into their own preconceived notions rather than reflecting real-life dynamics. It’s like they want a version of queerness that aligns with what they find aesthetically pleasing or socially acceptable rather than what it actually is. I also believe that another reason for this is a form of semi-internalised homophobia, because, generally speaking, societies struggle to conceive the idea of two ‘manly men’ being gay. There’s this ingrained idea that if a man is gay, he must be visibly different in some way—so when two men who fit traditional standards of masculinity are paired together, it becomes less about genuine representation and more about turning them into a fantasy, a fetishised version of a gay couple that exists for external validation rather than for who they actually are. Of course, I don’t think this applies to everyone, but it’s definitely a factor for some.

Reading your analysis is also interesting because what you explain or theorise is something I’ve also applied to Jikookers—not all of them, obviously, but a considerable group. Like you said, many Jikookers see Jimin as the ‘she’ in the relationship, and they make it even worse when they externalise that perception in a misogynistic way. A perfect example of this was in 2023 when we found out that Jimin and Jungkook would be enlisting together under the buddy system. Many people immediately concluded that the reason behind this decision was that Jimin needed protection because they’ve always viewed him as the weak, delicate one in the relationship—the ‘woman’ who needs to be protected by the ‘manly man.’ Jimin is more than capable of handling himself, and Jungkook choosing to enlist with him doesn’t automatically mean it was done out of some paternalistic sense of ‘protecting’ him. But that’s the lens they view their dynamic through—Jimin as the fragile one who constantly needs looking after, and Jungkook as the strong, dominant protector. And this has always been the case for some jikookers.

Going back to the main point of your ask, it’ll be really interesting to see how the subgroup reacts if Tae keeps his current physique once they resume group activities after military service. Because as you say—part of their entire ‘fantasy’ is Tae’s usual frame, his softer, leaner look, which they see as the perfect complement to Jungkook’s physique. If Tae maintains his current build, that dynamic they’ve created in their heads is going to shift, and I wonder how they’ll navigate that. Will they embrace it and adjust their perspective, or will they try to downplay it and pretend it doesn’t change anything?

Not only that, but it’ll also be fascinating to see how they react to Jungkook and Tae’s interactions. If their personalities have changed or if their time in the military will shift their dynamic in some way, how will the subgroup respond? Will they downplay it, make excuses, or just pretend it’s not happening?

And, of course, there’s the biggest factor of all—the dynamic between Jimin and Jungkook. Because, at this point, it’s easy to assume that their relationship has either changed or, at the very least, evolved. And if that’s the case, it’s going to be impossible to ignore. So, how will they handle that? Will they continue pretending it’s not happening? Will they find new ways to twist it to fit their agenda? Or will they finally have to acknowledge that the version of events they’ve been pushing for years doesn’t quite hold up anymore?

Either way, we’re in for some interesting reactions once they’re all back together.

Hi Rain!

So here is how I see it (mostly my subjective speculations of course)

BSH had this troublemaker free spirit in his hands. On one hand, he knew what a huge and unique potential Tae had (as visual, character, artistry etc) so he couldn’t leave him out. But on the other hand, he knew that Tae would be the hardest to control. So what to do? He made sure to control him through the people Tae cares (his bandmates), treat him as an afterthought to beat his self confidence, make him feel like he is not needed but try to use him for your gain with the amount you want and all that manipulate games…

Tae shouldn’t be too front to shadow others but also intriguing enough to draw new audiences (it is well known and accepted that DNA was the breakthrough, a first step to worldwide success and guess who mostly caught new audiences eyes first?) so Tae has been a double edged sword since the beginning. His unique qualities and free spirit is what draw the audience but also make him difficult to control. Do you remember Tae’s birthday live when he was spoiling his songs and when staff reacted to that he said "what can company do? Fire me?" That was the self confidence that BSH was afraid of but well… :)

Imo, at the beginning, other guys tried to keep him under control but then they also (probably) realized all those control attempts were suffocating Tae and they were losing him anyway (hence his leaving attempts in 2018 and sugar’s letter to him and jk). I always think that Suga (especially) kept saying either 7 or 0 for the fans but also a message to company that they are all or nothing. Especially things changed when JK clearly stand on his side, imo, that changed the balance a LOT.

Once they (or most of them) backed him, BSH didn’t have much in his hands but manipulate him from outside… And because of his very good communication skils, that also didn’t work that well, imo. Because I remember many instances that can ended any idol’s career didn’t work on Tae at all (his smoking pictures, friend zoning fans from the get go, that airport scene when he reacted to stalker and lastly suing that woman with JK etc etc) He was seen as a disobedient rebel all along anyway, so in a way, this image saved him and bite BSH in the ass.

And Tae has been very smart in solo period, creating his own connections, making friends with important people in SK entertainment business as well as international brands (I think he didn’t have enough time to work on international part but I am sure he will after ms) he focused on entertainment shows to present himself directly to the audience as Kim Taehyung and it mostly worked. He is in the military and still on the news. And this Hybe situation is a mess and I know there is a manipulation operation on him to make him the bad guy but I don’t think it works. Any sane person can see that he has been a victim of the company and he stood his ground grounds.

The way he inserts himself in footage, the way he uses members achievements to prop up himself, the abuse I think his artists go through. I think he’s ruthless. What you often see with narcissists, is how they will hate someone who takes away their sense of importance. I think, by Tae being Tae even at a young age, that’s what happened. I think Tae’s freespiritness and the way he carried him and just attracts attention might’ve irked Bang Pd early on. Him not having known Tae’s name for a year, to me feels like he wanted to make Tae feel small. The decision to have him be a hidden member, also made Tae feel small. I think he listened to his advisors and knew from a business perspective Tae is valuable, but he needed to mold him into someone he could just use. He probably wasn’t open about it, and he was probably even able to argue why he needed things to be the way they were, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see some personal dislike there at all. It’s total speculation from my side, but I think Tae played to Bang Pd’s insecurities just by being himself… and that’s why Tae never got the full spotlight. It can’t be his lack of talent, it can’t be his personality, it can’t be his working ethics.. so yeah.. I’m putting my money on it being unfair.

Now I think all members have had their own issues that they had to deal with. The music industry is an environment that I think causes hurt in many different ways (body image issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, mental abuse, physical abuse, forced substance abuse, lack of medical care, homophobia, closeting, forced plastic surgery, and the list goes on and on). I’m not saying all members went to any of these things, but I also think it’s naive to think only Tae has suffered from the hands of the company… and I just wanted to shine a light on that as well. We don’t know what goes on behind doors and we cannot know all the different waya the members have suffered. We ofcourse focus on Tae and Jk, but Tae and Jk are just a part of BTS and it’s absolutely realistic in my eyes that they as a band had to have all of their backs at some point. I think for instance that a lot of Jk’s care and concern towards Jm comes from Jk knowing when Jm has it tough (a different kind of tough, but tough nonetheless). I think they all know how tough Namjoon had it and they made attempts to, if only momentarily, lighten the load for him. I do think at one point they decided it’s 7 or nothing.. and imo that moment was probably heightened at the 2018 talks. I don’t think it was just Tae and Jk who were considering leaving, but probably several of them on different levels of seriousness. I do think there was a whole different level of concern and doubt present with Tae and Jk. For them signing on again meant having to keep hiding for the length of their new contract. That’s not an easy thing to sign on for, but them loving what they do (performing) and wanting a long career, knowing the other members have their backs must’ve made up their minds for them.

I’ve seen discussion on the other members having let the company abuse and neglect Tae, and I was saddened by that. Because, it goes against what Tae himself does. He signed on again for the members. I think that statement to some maybe doesn’t carry the weight it should. Imo it doesn’t mean that Tae signed on because he felt he owed it to them. Had he not genuinely felt they have his back and has he himself felt they leave him at the mercy of the company.. he would have left them. Because even though he has no say in some things, I do believe the power to resign lies with him and I think him capable of making good decisions for himself. I think the members make Tae feel like it’s worth it. I think they build him up, they comfort him, they value him, they make him feel like he belongs. That’s what they all do for each other.

As to Tae and Jk, I think most likely they suffered in equal but different ways. Not only would they be affected by what the other goes through, but both of them have had to hide and do things to keep hidden. Both of them have felt the same pressure and, though in different ways, Jk has also been used by the company. We talk about Tae being a free spirit, but I think Jk is also one. Jk isn’t able to fully Jk as much as Tae isn’t able to fully Tae. Jk’s music might’ve been pushed by the company in ways that Tae will never be, but his achievements have been taken and used for Bang Pd’s benefit. They talk about him as if he’s their creation. Jk’s insecurities about why people love him, don’t just come from nowhere. He’s been made to believe he has to fit a mold. I think the members all flocked around them, because they actually know and love them both and because they recognize (all of them, because they themselves are in it too) how wrong the company is.

I think the company’s main goal and interest lies in BTS as a group. I think these solo projects have been hugely used to keep fandom interest up (as has Taennie, as has Ays) and they fully want to collect every last drop of money they can before BTS goes on hiatus or whatever form they take on after reunion. They probably already suspect which members will sign on individually and which won’t.. which might explain the different levels of company push.

I probably went all kind of ways here (always fun to see my adhd reflected in my writing 🙈). There’s so much more to say, because it’s not a simple situation at all. There’s probably things at play none of us can even imagine.

Yes, it would have been nicer perhaps that taehyung had found another way or time to tag along which wasn't a part of jikooks schedule but knowing how limited bangtans timelines were the closer to enlistment I could see him considering this as his only chance to go on a vacation with the both of them before they were separated. And I won't fault him for wanting to spend time with his friends. Cause trust me if it really bothered jikook and was a hard boundary he wouldn't have joined them.

I've noticed that PJMs REALLY hate jikook and jkkrs, I've literally even seen some of them parrot taekook narratives and rhetoric about Jungkook not liking Jimin and such (which is crazy to me, why would they ever believe anything tkkrs of all people have to say about something related to JM!). Even though JJK1 was just announced, I've seen a whole portion of them raging about jkkrs suddenly today. They're also saying most of them are JK biased, but I'm pretty confident the majority of jkkrs are JM biased actually, and I thought that was well known. Do you think there's a specific reason it's like this? I feel like a lot of KTHs and JJKs are tkkrs, or at least have gotten along with them. But it's definitely not the same with PJMs and jkkrs.

Just as a general rule, I'm incapable of taking solo stans of any member seriously. There are some groups in k-pop where it makes sense to be a solo stan. But for a group like BTS, to be a solo stan is an automatic failed IQ and EQ test, in my opinion. And PJMs are no exception.

So, I kinda don't want to waste any time on this ask given the subject is PJMs / solo stans, but you sent this ask a while ago and I'm in a mood... I'll take a gander at it.

Why do PJMs hate Jungkook, jikook, and jokers?

The self-inserts who recognize that Jungkook is a real and constant presence in Jimin's life, and likely will always be. Jungkook is a person who many times occupies the space many imagine a spouse or significant other would take with Jimin. A lot of people in the fandom see this, including PJMs, and for the solo stans who love Jimin a little too much, Jungkook's very existence is a thorn in their side.

The psychos with zero sense of boundaries who have deluded themselves into thinking they get a say in determining what is best for Jimin. Some PJMs don't think Jungkook is a good friend to Jimin, much less a good spouse/partner. They find him inadequate of being paired with their god, Jimin, by their personal arbitrary standards. JK doesn't shower Jimin with enough attention, affection, deference, reverence, etc, by their own standards. They hold every slight or minor disagreement jikook have ever had, against Jungkook in perpetuity, because how dare he act like a teenage boy talking back to Jimin (or whatever) when he should be glad the mighty Jimin breathed in his direction?

The overprotective mother hens who feel powerless to hold Jimin antis responsible in their stan environments, so they transfer the blame to Jungkook. Some JJKs suffer from the above two mental ailments plaguing PJMs, and are objectively disgusting towards Jimin. Of course none of that is Jungkook's fault, but some PJMs choose to blame him for their behaviour anyway. This faction of solo stans (and shippers) who act like this are so pathetic, I won't waste any more time getting into it.

Jikookers get heat from PJMs because they celebrate a relationship that most PJMs view through the lens of the above three points. Jokers are automatically bad for wanting Jimin in a relationship that is obviously bad (see above), and what's worse is jokers don't really support Jimin enough (based on the standards set by solo stans...).

Some shippers (and jikookers) are vile fetishizers, and are legitimately hated by anyone with half a working brain, at least, and so like a broken clock that's right twice a day, PJMs sometimes sniff out the jikookers who honestly belong in a jail cell. Here, I say the hate is justified. But again, that's more the exception to the rule.

In terms of bias splits with jikookers, what I've observed is most are double biased with Jimin and Jungkook. Taekookers however swing more fully to being majority Tae-biased, and the fall out from the Taennie reveal more or less confirms that for me. The JJKs who get along with KTHs are able to do that better than with PJMs, because I doubt any of them see Taehyung as real competition to Jungkook. To be blunt. Jimin has always pulled in significant attention for his unusual tone and feather-light vocals, his dancing ability is peerless, and his personality endears him to everyone who comes across BTS. Jimin reigned supreme in Korea and internationally in terms of popularity since debut, and in the last 5 years, has shared this more with Jungkook, and to a lesser degree with Taehyung. With Tae, it's only since 2017 I saw an uptick in his popularity within the fandom and outside it, and his Chinese fanbase since 2018 has been a big reason for this, actively working to match his status with Jimin and Jungkook. But even then, at least in Korea, Jungkook's only real competition in BTS is Jimin, and so his solo stans have a harder time getting along with PJMs, than with KTHs. This isn't something I usually pay attention to because I'm not nearly as sensitive to it as solo stans are, but I've got eyes and can see.

Anyway...

With a group like BTS, there are certain people who are guaranteed to always be angry and/or miserable for as long as the group is active - and yes BTS as a group is still active in Chapter 2. These types of people include homophobes; the mantis who believe they know how to manage BTS better than BigHit; people who don't like ARMY or don't like BTS mentioning ARMY; and solo stans of every variety; among others. Anyone with any of these inclinations is bound to either stop following BTS and k-pop completely, or will end up as a full blown anti who spirals further into degeneracy.

I'd ignore them if I were you, though in Chapter 2 I can understand why this could be difficult to do.

Just saw a post in the Jimin tag from a blog called @viathecloset and it's always hilarious to me how Tae stans cry victim the few times that man is threatened and hated on by Jikookers (not that it's right) when Jimin has been getting shīt from Tae stans and Taekookers for literal YEARS. They are really here pretending that most of the Jikookers coming after Tae is pure retaliation for what Taekookers have put Jimin through and still do everyday. They are crying about Tae minding his business and Jikookers still coming for him while they ignore all the times Taekookers have inserted Jimin in their ship when he has nothing to do with it, when we didn't here from him for months and Taekookers would still drag him. The one that got me though was when they said "the buddy system isn't romantic, in fact it's proof that what they have is platonic". I love how they sneaked that part in and put emphasis on it because they exposed themselves as a typical Taekooker. All that talk trying to sound neutral only to end up slipping up that you're an undercover cultist.

It's amazing how you have created such an immersive world; that the length of Eunoia isn't intimidating, no matter how many times I read it. Ok sooooo... Starting with the amazing way you write such a relatable and human y/n. I know you don't always have to write relatable reader inserts since the point of these fics is to be able to experience stories and situations that you might (and prolly won't) irl. I know (us) the ppl reading this fic aren't world class producers who are friends with taylor swift but gosh darn it I feel like it when I am reading eunoia XD . The y/n feels so... human. They have their fears, insecurities, mess ups and they worry and overthink yet they also have their strengths and try their hardest no matter what. Their love hate relationship with their career and burnout, is honestly so refreshing to see becuz no matter if your career is your dream you are going to get tired at some point. OH YEAH AND THEIR COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR PARENTS! My gosh, it was so good to see someone acknowledge how hard it is to have a relationship with your parents where you don't hate them but you also don't get along because of your massive differences. It feels like you are stuck b/w a rock and a hard place. An argument that will never find it's peace...

Also, I feel like you absolutely nail the members' personality to a T. Ofc, tho you just HAD to give them such TRAGIC backstories ;-; (but yk I get it, the angst is what makes the fluff all the more sweeter). I adore the intricacies of their relationships with each other and also with the reader. All of them mean well but are hesitant to cross any boundaries. This ask made my day and I'm sorry for taking some time to reply but when I receive such long asks I usually like to think some more before replying. First of all, thank you so much for your words and the fangirling. I live fangirling!!

It is very important to me when writing the main characters in stories to give them their own personalities and make them as human as possible. I don't think it's as fun to write perfect characters or to read about them at that. The mc of Eunoia is very close to my heart because I can see myself in some aspects of her character and I'm happy that's true for other people as well. Relationships with parents can be very hard to navigate and she and her parents have a complicated history. They will never stop being her parents but their differences are so stark and they are nearly strangers by now. She was trying with them for the longest time and she didn't know when to stop trying. Or to stop pretending.

All the hybrids share unique relationships with each other. They might have tragic back stories but they are ones that led them to each other. They have had people crossing their boundaries so many times in the past that they are afraid of doing that to each other. They are all my babies and I adore them.

I was planning to write some light smut for it but I've been rethinking it. I don't have any experience writing smut and in this case the second person is throwing me off. I'll try but I don't know how it will go and if it will fit with the story well.

So here we go (why am I writing this? Idk. I just was thinking about it and wanted to put it somewhere.)

Depending on the level of obsession and how it impacts one's life. I'd say Limerence is a benign thing to have and experience. Let it be known - on this small corner of the internet where I can hide and confess anonymously - that I too have daydreamed about being in romantic relationships with fictional characters and celebrities. The whole self-insert Mary Sue y/n type vibe, which gets a lot of shit when people actually post it online. Combined with the irony of other people who secretly read it to live vicariously. Like, let's be real keyboard warriors. Don't give people shit over things they do (that harm no one) that you are too embarrassed to do yourself.

In ones own daydreams or fictional publications. It's all fine and fun and giggles.

Then there's the bad sides. When a person's Limerence transforms another person (let's say, Taehyung of BTS) into this entity in their mind that is their husband and don't anyone else dare date him in real life. To a point of attacking strangers on the internet who dare say a word in opposition to what they believe is true (read; what they have made up in their own minds, that they now believe is true). That level, that side. Is just -sighs- sad and troubling.

And honestly? I completely get what you mean. Sometimes, you just have a set idea of who you can or can’t see as a love interest, and it’s like—I could never read x reader with this person. I was exactly like that before I started writing. Jungkook was the only one who ever made sense to me in fics, and every other member just felt like vibes—like someone cool to hang out with, but not someone I’d insert myself into a romance with.

But here’s the thing: if a story has strong characterization, well-paced development, and a compelling plot, suddenly? It stops mattering. Because at that point, you’re not reading BTS Jungkook or BTS Taehyung—you’re reading this specific character, in this specific world, with this specific set of traits and issues that make them entirely their own person. And I think that’s why Kkangpae works even if Jeon isn’t your cup of tea—because he’s not really BTS Jungkook anymore. He’s just… this man. This tatted-up, emotionally unavailable disaster who happens to have that face.

That’s why I always say that if you like an author’s writing, chances are you’ll end up reading pairings you never thought you’d be into. Because when the characterization is that good, the name attached to the face starts mattering less. It becomes about the character’s internal logic, their relationships, and the way they make you feel—not just who they’re modeled after. Like, I swore I’d never be into Taehyung x Reader, and then I wrote KGP!V, and now? I’m itching to give him his own full story. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Also, I love that you’re fully making your own version of Kkangpae where you’re just living your best lesbian fantasy. Chaewon, Yunjin, AD’s cyber division, Hobi patching you up—that’s the energy I love to see. And YES, I do play tabletop RPG, and YES, I would be an unhinged Game Master if I ever had the time. Hello everybody~

I know, it's been a long time. I never stopped using Tumblr, but I only really use it to read every so often now, so I'm not really on much.

A lot has changed since I made that last post, I lost my grandmother, I moved states, got new jobs, worked on a lot of stories. I had a big story that I had been working on since May of 2022, but seeing as so many things had changed since I started it and I took a long break, I ended up deleting it and do plan to restart it at some point. It had just been so long since I worked on it I forgot a lot of the things that happened and what direction I wanted to take it.

Anyway, I know that probably a lot of people aren't going to read this, it's been so long and I've been so neglectful that I'm sure 90% of you don't even remember following me, I've posted so little on this account that I'm surprised there's even followers.

That being said, I started my Tumblr journey on another account when I was about 14 writing stories, and a decade later my goals have not changed. I still write, I still love to do it, and I do it every day, I just don't really post much. I like to complete stories before finishing them, so once I complete one, I will post it. Another note is I lost the motivation for self inserts and Y/N stories, I know that's a big part of fan fiction but in my opinion small details make a story better and I don't want to just write pwp or basic smut, I want stories, I like stories, and the only way for me to do that is to use an OC. You can obviously still put yourself in it, I do it with any book I read but I will have an OC introduction here whenever I post it for reference.

Now, when I started writing it was a BTS gang au with Taehyung as the focus. My love for gang stories hasn't changed in the slightest, and most of the things I write now are Tokyo Revengers related, almost exclusively Bonten. The Kawata twins are my favorite characters but just something about Bonten, especially Sanzu and the Haitanis does good things to my brain, so I write about them a lot. The story I'm currently working on is a TR Bonten timeline isekai, which will transform into a Genshin isekai in the sequel, which is the other hyper fixation of mine.

So, I hope this will be my return to Tumblr, posting will by no means be consistent until I have a full story, but I have hundreds of random one shots that I also have, so when I finish any of those I will post them. I have one right now that I will schedule for tonight with Rindou Haitani, pwp, just a little something to get out here and hopefully push me to post more.

This is gonna singe some jkkers ass hair but the truth is that, outside of a handful of fanfic shippers, jikook only took off when BigHit started editing out Taekook moments and highlighting Jikook moments. I've been here since the beginning so I saw it all. Jikook were not even on the water. Nobody was checking for them.

I think at that point, JM was being heavily shipped with Yoongi and Taehyung because...we got more content. Like if content is the determining factor then Yoonmin were having a loving love affair at one point.

Taegi even had a brief rise up for a hot minute for the same reason. We were seeing more Yoongi and Tae and less JK and Tae but my beautiful fantasy ship (🥲) simmered out when....drumroll please, we stopped getting content 😏 BigHit weren't showing it and we weren't seeing any signs of yoongi and tae spending time together outside of the company airplay.

So like a normal person, I stick to fanfics and memories for my Taegi fix and acknowledge that this ship sails only in my heart and my head. Jikookers, when will you?

JM stans didn't even like JK too much at the beginning because they accused him of being cold and jealous of vmin and not giving JM the attention fans felt he deserved and vminnies felt like he was third wheeling vmin.

JM stans were foaming at the mouth at one point because JK literally pushed JM off him and he hit the wall real hard. They were calling for his resignation, lol.

If you look at the hotel video where the three of them are playing. JM is sitting between Taekook and while he's talking, he is platonically slapping their thighs for exclamation and JK is not happy about it....(and this is after the festa where he makes a point of caressing Tae's thigh like he's won something after Taehyung tells JM to stop doing it in his confession letter)

It's worth noting Taehyung was not the slightest bit bothered by JM slapping his thigh, btw 😉

And jokers can write shit about how 'oh, its just coz they got closer, taekook drifted apart' but then I need y'all to answer me why we were still getting moments of Taekook being pretty damn close that BigHit clearly didn't want to put any shine on? We had to go looking for them, but they were there.

At first, jokers decided to play their ship as an enemies to lovers trope with JK being the tsundere but there were too many TK moments to deny and they realised that whatever they claimed for their ship, they'd have to acknowledge for TK plus more and they didn't like the idea of JM being the backstabbing, boyfriend stealing bestie or JK being a flip flopping cheat...so they decided to rewrite history instead and just take all the moments they used to shit on taekookers for (and some of those theories were crack induced, I gotta admit) and force them to apply to their ship.

Literally every Jikook theory started as a Taekook theory first. They raided the whole house and took everything; legit shit and the garbage too.

They're trying to bring fanfic to life. I think there's some projection and self inserting going on there too or something.

They feel like if JM 'wins' JK, they win too because JK wasn't always as nice to JM as he could have been.

But people who have been here since the beginning know that it's always been Taehyung for JK and jkkers feel it personally because they've put all their chips on JM 'winning' JK over in as absolute a way as it gets. That's why so many of them turned on Taehyung.

What do y'all think jokers are so mad for? 😂 They know the deal better than Taekookers at this point.

Well.. they’re already pissed.. so posting this won’t really make a difference 😂.

You know what I found really interesting? How we got quite a few Tkkrs kinda shifting into shipping Tae and Goff. It came at a point when Jk was getting criticized about being cold, dismissive, and whatnot towards Tae while we were getting little Tkk content and saw Tae together with Goff more often. That feels similar, though I wasn’t here when BTS started so I don’t actually know what that was like(😭😭😭 forever sad about stepping in so late).

Jkkrs have a lot of bending and mending to do. They very often contradict themselves and are reading into situations like crazy (😂). Just this last year they went from ‘they’re laying low for the military’ to ‘taking a courageous step together’, from ‘they can’t control themselves around each other’ to ‘they’re adults ofcourse they can behave themselves in the army’. On the one hand you have jkkrs claim ‘jk is a painfully shy introvert’ while on the other hand ‘jk has to protect Jm’. Not even mentioning how many Jkkrs actually thought they broke up this year because nothing made sense anymore.

Things will never make sense to them, because what they expect to find just isn’t there.
