My friend's friend has a headcanon about Lando having a “bunny heartbeat” because he sometimes talks about how fast his heart beats (and I think calling it “bunny heartbeat” is really adorable and fits his personality ), and a few days ago we got this video of Oscar connected to a heart monitor,  and even when he's scared, his heartbeat only goes up to 81, so I think we can say he's pretty calm.

And as I was thinking about this, I realized how good fanfic material it is if I view it with shipper eyes. One of them having a fast(er) heartbeat and the other one being the epitome of calmness, it fits like two puzzle pieces.

There are so many possibilities in this. Like this moment we created with Jess (copy-pasted from our messages):

Oscar hugging Lando and telling him he can feel his little bunny heartbeat on his chest. And Lando is like: “It's always like this when you're here. I like it when you're here. But yours” he puts his finger on Oscar's chest right in the middle, “is alwalys so calm. Are you not excited to see me?” suspicious face. 👀

Oscar just be like "what? that's not it at all. I'm just very comfortable around you."

And then Lando snuggles him, face buried into the crook if his neck and he mumbles something like “I know, I was joking.” And then he kisses Oscar's pulse point. 👀

But it can also be good for a hurt/comfort story, Oscar's slow heartbeat helping Lando calm down during/after a panic attack or something.

ranting because of a tag I saw on someone's repost.

I absolutely despise those fanfictions that strips away the basis of both Midas and Montague. And what I mean by that is the fact they're both arguably horrible people is just gone. They're killer, thieves, conmen, power hungry maniacs that only care about themselves and a few others. Yes I love the idea of Midague as a ship, and the soft and intense moments. BUT PLEASE don't forget their personalities for the basis of shipping.

Of course fanfiction is supposed to deviant from canon and I understand the reasons behind changing things. But when change goes too far you lose what you were even changing from.
