OK but I will always never understand "playersexual" criticisms in video game romances. Maybe it's because I'm both bi and gender funky flavours of queer but most video game worlds don't share our perceptions of sexuality and gender also who really fucking cares, if I want to romance my blorbo I should be allowed to regardless of gender ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Listen, listen. In the unlikely event that Jayce has a brain hemorrhage and denounces Viktor for his Hexcore experiments, Mel would still vouch for him were he to be put on trial. She’s a progress kinda person, what can she say? That, and she can empathize with doing what’s necessary to survive.

Maybe the other councilors would still be opposed to it and it’ll be one of the few times Mel cannot convince them. Though maybe she can convince them to let him leave the city rather than put him in Stillwater.

it says something about Bioware - or at least the Bioware of the time (I'll fully admit I haven't kept up with their games) - that the romance options in the original mass effect trilogy were all various conventionally attractive women, a few conventionally attractive men, the Asari who were like specifically designed to be conventionally attractive and fuckable, and alien men. Like I'm not sure what it says exactly but it's always felt weird to me that they don't ever assume something as simple as, say, someone playing male!Shepard would want to bang Garrus.
