One plot thing from lone star that I don’t entirely get is that they’re complaining that 18 months is such a long wait? That’s about normal waiting time for a wedding surely? At least there’s time to plan, make sure people are actually free, and arrange the whole shebang. I get they want to be married and this is weird timeline telly world, but I don’t understand how having to plan a wedding in 8 weeks is better 😂

Hello Nonny! Sorry it's taken so long for me to get here. BUT...

TK meant what he said when he said EVERY MOMENT WE'RE NOT MARRIED IS A WASTED MOMENT.

He wants a wedding that is nice and has like PEOPLE, but he also doesn't want to wait a YEAR AND A HALF. Do you know how many times TK nearly dies in a year and a half? He can't wait that long. He might be dead.

He won't actually be dead, but like...with the track record of parents on this show who knows who'll make it to the wedding. He won't waste time, and 18 months as fiances is too long for TK.

It's not an unreasonable time for normal people, but TK has never been normal. So...

His one track mind for the wedding is hilarious though. Cant eat carbs, have a wedding suit. Dad has a motorcycle - don't crash and ruin my wedding. Carlos has a wife...we've just gotta get him divorced because I am not delaying my wedding! Carlos is missing, gonna take Carlos's detective skills I've gained through osmosis and find my fiance, because we have a wedding to plan.

And Carlos wants TK to be happy, so TK is going to get what TK wants. He's not having pouting at the wedding.

I feel like perhaps included in that mentioned potential scene would be a mention on how they had to give up the 8 weeks away venue bc of what carlos went through? Unless they’re gonna mess with their messed up timeline even more and say the whole season takes place in those few short weeks

Yeah, I have long before now officially given up following along with the show's passage of time. It truly only ever ends with a headache. 🤣

And unless they locked Ronen in a dungeon after hours so he was unable to give a single thing away AND they don't plan to have TK change his uniform from saying just TK Strand... they haven't filmed the wedding yet. and I believe I saw somewhere that they're filming episode 13 right now... so unless we have more multi-episode arcs that take place over the span of a few days, the 8 week timetable doesn't seem doable.

I'm thinking a finale wedding is in the works, what about you?

Yes, I do have a few projects in the works right now. I’m actively working on the vampire fic like you mentioned. I also am working on a ranch fic set during the fiance era.

Other projects I have that I’ll get to later include a future tarlos fic and a undercover fake marriage au :)

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion or maybe not but I'm ready to just move on from the Tarlos plot of the past 4 eps for good now. It's not like it's the first time they've had them go through something major and then moved on. Case in point, TK being severely hypothermic and in a coma for several days only to wake up and then be fine and move back in with Carlos. This storyline was already a lot for me to handle and I'm just glad that we were able to get so many beautiful moments out of the whole storyline and particularly ep 4. I'm ready to move on to the wedding planning and happy fiance era now. Tbh as much as I enjoyed TK playing the hero, I never wanted for Carlos to even be hurt in the first place

Carlos and TK are on the Reyes family ranch preparing for their rehearsal dinner. Both of them wish they could invite another person to their wedding: for TK, it’s his mom. For Carlos, it’s his seventeen-year-old self…

The past is never totally gone. Who we are is made up of who we were, at least in some minor way. We drag ourselves forward through time, and occasionally, when certain things fall into place – and there’s magic or malevolence in the air – we drag ourselves back.

Carlos springs up onto his feet. He’s filled with energy, desire, and insatiable hunger. Emotions ping around without pattern, as if his mind is a malfunctioning pinball machine. His body feels elastic. He's a whirring dynamo. He could run for miles. Swim fifty laps in an Olympic pool. Execute the perfect takedown move, pin Scott to the mat – no not Scott. Not now.

Lit by the ever-lingering oil of his touch-starved teenage soul, Carlos, as though twelve years younger, grabs and shoves TK into the wall with a thump that sends a tremor through them both.

Carlos propels his body against TK’s, fixing his mouth onto his like he doesn't know what he's doing, like he's never kissed before – but it's hard and it’s hot and TK responds much the same, as if he's become seventeen too.

An adventure in the fiancé era. Carlos, TK and their friends get costumed up for a murder mystery evening themed around the board game Clue. When someone at the event is murdered for real, Carlos starts to investigate. Then TK vanishes…

Carlos stops for a moment. Earlier, his legs felt too heavy to move. Now the heaviness is his heart, a twisting iron spike in his chest. He reaches out and holds the branch of a small tree next to him, just to ground himself. The twisting pain dissipates, but he feels completely empty. Why didn’t he and TK cancel on this stupid thing? Why didn’t he tell TK that he wanted to stay naked in bed all evening, with him, and they’d tell the others they were sick? It had crossed his mind for a moment, when he felt silly in his costume, which turned out to be the most sensible of all the costumes. They hadn’t had a day spent entirely alone with each other for a while. Why did anything seem more important than that?

Ok so I 404 was definitely a stressful experience lol. I did love it though. One thing that I've actually enjoyed in this whole storyline is how much we've learned about different characters. I actually like Iris. I also enjoyed the Bad Call parallels with TK and Gabriel teaming up. I am a little disappointed we didn't get a "he's an impressive guy" parallel though.

That said, for the first time I'm actually glad for the week long break in between episodes. I think I'm going to need it to recuperate after these past four weeks. I do have general thoughts on the characters that have been expanded that I may touch upon later but for now I just wanted to vent my feelings on this episode. It was stressful for me to actually start watching and I had to skip the non-Tarlos parts with the other characters (I'll probably watch those later) but I loved the way TK went into hero mode and kept looking for Carlos. I also love the way Carlos talked about feeling like the love he had for TK was coming to him through Gwyn. I feel like that's such a special thing bc of course Carlos loved TK unequivocally but it shows how he feels like Gwyn is essentially passing the torch to him to carry the love she had for TK bc she can no longer do so. Also, I hope now all the ppl talking about TK's turn to worry are satisfied now 🙃. I swear if I ever see another comment about TK needing to show his love in a more obvious way or the relationship being unequal, it's not gonna be pretty. Still, I'm ready for the drama to be over (relationship wise anyway) and to move on to happy fiance era

The only way that proposal could have been more perfect is if they had turned on a fucking lamp or two so the scene could be lit better .... but what else should I expect with 9-1-1: Lone Star? 🤣
