A collar necklace I made around December but hadn't gotten around to posting. I found part of the pattern on pinterest but eventually found the original pattern on an archive somewhere (I will link later) but had to translate it bit by bit from Polish which was fun (I just used Google translate but it was interesting to figure out the technical vocab) But here's some in progress stuff and the final project

This weekend I have started the rather ambitious project of tatting this yoke from the Priscilla Yoke Book(1916) from the antique pattern library. I'm probably going to change the pattern a bit for my purposes, we'll see how long it takes me to get this somewhere I'm happy with!

snowflake for @unquartdetour in exchange for the free antique shuttle (pictured - top). it is VERY small (2in across) because I may have completely disregarded the recommended thread size in favor of just using the stuff that was already in my bag 😅 I think it'll do as a christmas ornament though! snowflakes are meant to be small anyways, right??

Knitting a freehand bag and started wondering how often people even use patterns, anyway. So--how often do you use a pattern when you make things ? This include knitting/crochet/sewing/weaving/nalbinding/bobbin lace/tatting/etc but also things like woodworking, cooking, and baking. If you want to just pick the thing you do most often that's fine.
I personally do not use patterns as I find them far more confusing than just figuring out the construction of an item and simply making it. I do very occasionally browse ravelry for inspiration but have downloaded maybe 2. In the 5 or so years since I joined. And have followed exactly 1, which I modified every single aspect of. In my defense, dyslexia.

Little thing I'm working on - hoping to make ~ 8 rounds maybe. I'd like to share it on my IG as a free pattern soon, create something of a "tat-along", which means posting like 2 rounds every week? I still don't know! 😆 Any thoughts? Any of you would like to join? So far the pattern is beginner friendly and it'll probably stay this way:)
Btw, I'm waiting for new threads to arrive which you'll see in my next post 🥰 can't waitttt

For everyone asking for the tatting pattern
The pencil notes are a bit more specific for the veil, that's why they don't connect in the middle of the third chain (shamrock leaf).

Some doilies I made a while ago. The letters in the center are from a vintage pattern (I'll link to it eventually but it's available on the internet archive) but the rest is my own design, pretty happy with how the cluny row went considering I'd just learned the technique haha. First time designing a pattern so I'm pretty happy with how it went

I bought this delightful pattern book of fantasy themed patterns. I made this baby dragon and I am in love with it.
He even has little toes!
