She's not the defiant kid. Not the one who'll rage and fight and inspire you with their rebellious spirit.

But she's the one taking it upon herself to care for baby Bayrn. She's the one gently reminding them of how to keep out of trouble. She's the one trying to reassure the new kid that things won't feel this bad forever.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for the kids that aren't as noticeable as their peers. The ones making themselves as small and silent as possible to keep everyone else safe and happy. Don't worry. We see you too.

Leading me to believe that in that scene when Hunter is looking at his helmet, he is actually thinking back to the time of their first mission. To the time where everything was simpler, where his brothers were alright, where all they had to worry about was how to complete their missions, and not fight against an empire in the search for a peaceful life that they'll most likely never get.

Really niche observation about TBB S3E13 (this Wednesday’s episode):

The title is “Into the Breach.” “Into the Breach” is a reference to the opening line of one of King Henry’s speeches in the Shakespeare plays, Henry V. King Henry gave this speech to his English troops outside the gates of Harfleur, France, before the English were about to wage war against the French. (I know Shakespearean verse is hella difficult to understand, but here it is anyway 😅 “unto” and “into” mean the same thing in this context)

I’m inclined to think that, if the Batch and other members of the clone rebellion (Rex, Echo, Howzer, etc.) don’t storm Tantiss this episode, this episode will serve as a foundation for that. The “Into the Breach” speech in Henry V was meant to rouse courage and strength in the English troops before a bloody battle, so long story short, it’s the beginning of the end 😭 (or the end of the end tbh)

- That is such a creepy room design with all the observation windows

- The cute baby!

- Omega is awesome, but I keep getting distracted by cute baby and its cute baby plushie 🥺

- Ohh, new look for the boys?!

- "I didn't just make it to vice admiral on looks alone" -AHASsdhfjsd I never expected Rampart to be the funniest character in the entire show. Makes me miss a certain Captain 'I've Commanded Star Destroyers' Kallus. Ex-Imps clearly are the best.

- "Uh, captaining" -Pffffff, Wrecker 🤣

- Haha, Echo is so done

- (Kallus would have known technical details like that)

- Echo gets a mission?! Crosshair stabbing me in my little heart with "you can't go alone" 😭

- It's so, so good to watch Echo be a pro

- Wrecker putting that hat on the Imp like he's dressing up a doll shjkdkg

- "Relax, Echo's on it" -Not me sobbing violently inside because of Crosshair's faith in Echo

- Echo is such a badass

He's just a baby playing with blocks. Look how proud he is for stacking them so neatly. Look at the way he turns around for recognition, for someone else to get excited with him, to give him one of those big fake baby gasps and say 'good job!'.

He's just a baby. He doesn't understand what's going on. 😭

You know that headcanon where the batch painted their armour teal and orange to symbolise that they don't belong with the empire or anywhere else except their own squad? And how Omega helped them, maybe even chose the colours, and they had fun painting it together?

Yeah, don't think about Hunter thinking about that in this moment.

What Was Really Said at the End of TBB S3E13 Into the Breach

There is something special about Echo's arrival in this episode. The music when he landed, his vocal questioning of Rampart, him sneaking up into that science vessel - They are all Echo type things and it was so great to have him back.

Star Wars Explained once pointed during season 2 that the Batch would fail when they were trying to be mercenaries, but when they were on a moral mission of sort that was when they appeared to succeed. I felt that in this episode. All their interests align into a rescue. A clone trooper type rescue. This episode was so satisfying. Maybe my new favorite!
