HC Robin and Billy would be actually closest friends because they're both really into history and dinosaurs. Billy invites Robin over to his house so they both can build these dinosaurs or dig them out from hardened clay, + they both love legos

I’m not even gonna lie Billy is hyperfixated on a LOTTT of things and dinosaurs + history is one of them Billy is a huge fan of history no doubt, Robin thinks dinosaurs are just fucking awesome Robin’s favorite animal is a dinosaur it’s so real.

Billy probably has built legos with everyone except Vance at this point and he’s still trying to get him to build legos with him.

I feel like Billy would also get underwhelmed easily so legos and clay are good for him to play with. :)

I could actually go on and on about Billy and Robin being close friends, they’re super silly and I bet they play rock paper scissors all the dang time.

Both Robin and Billy have a shelf dedicated to legos in their room because they’re super silly! (Griff probably does too but this post is about Billy and Robin :3)

I feel like in the basement together they would just talk about dinosaurs as well, and Billy would recite what he still remembered about history. Billy just wanted to go back to school to learn again, silly guy </3

Also little did you know you have opened Pandora’s box. Billy is my favourite, my comfort character. I handmade a cosplay of him and I can talk about him for hours.

Okay. So the thing that made me interested in Billy/Paperboy in the first place is the fact that he is the only one of the ghosts that does not join in with the final call. My main theory for why this is is simple: he didn’t want to give The Grabber the satisfaction. What most people fail to grasp is that Billy is a deeply angry ghost, he just shows it in a different way to the more explicitly ragefull ghosts like Vance and Robin.

During his call with Finney you can see Billy move around with tense shoulders, his hands at his sides. His voice is a sharp hush, distinctly different from Bruce and Griffin, who sound almost detached from the situation throughout the majority of their call. Don’t get me wrong, Billy is also detached—he literally refuses to identify as anything other than a Paperboy, but still. Also during the line up of the ghosts when they stop Gwen in the rain, you can see Billy’s hands curled into fists at his sides—same as Vance.

Another hint at Billy’s anger is the fact that he shows the ability to move objects (the bottle) and interact with the real world (hanging up the phone by physically pushing the cradle with his finger). The movie implies that it is a ghost’s anger that allows them to move objects, as seen when Vance throws the bottles at Finney. Furthermore, Billy has a better hold of this power than Vance. While Vance is literally blown away, Billy plays idly with the bottle. I think that’s mainly due to the fact that Billy is, firstly, an older ghost and secondly has a different kind of anger. While Vance reacts with violence, Billy seethes. He stews quietly in his rage.

On a completely different topic: I am also fascinated by the fact that Billy’s dog did nothing to stop The Grabber. They just sat there, tail wagging. Chances are that this is just the dog’s actor being a very good boi, but I think it’s interesting. I’m not going into this further because it’s actually something I’m gonna explore in ‘And You Keep on Living’ sooooo. Spoilers!

After Finney kills the grabber and escapes the ghost boys “pass on” and “leave” the basement only to find themselves in a abandoned theater (not sure if this is where rtc [after they all die ofc and get sent to karnak i already know they’re all from uranium lol] takes place) with a talking (well…self-aware) fortune telling machine and it’s telling them that they have a possibility of being alive again?? The downside? Only one can go.

My Hugging Headcanons for the Casper Crew + Finn

Bruce Yamada

-expect bear hugs

-comes from a very openly affectionate family, so he likes to convey his feelings through physical affection

-he’ll keep you there for a minute, too, prepare yourself for that

-hella cliche, can and will pick you up and twirl you around if he hasn’t seen you in a while

-I head canon that Bruce isn’t all that great with words, like, there’s basic compliments and sentences, but I feel like he’s the type that believes that love can’t be expressed with words. So he’ll hold you and imagine that all of his love is being poured into a hug

Robin Arellano

-even tho i previously said that he doesn’t care who’s looking and he’ll be as affectionate with you as he pleases, I feel like that might not apply to hugs

-robin is very awkward with hugs but he likes touching you, so he’ll wrap an arm around your shoulders when you walk together

-if you aren’t and are just standing around, he’ll turn you to face him and just grab your hips, just keeps his hands there

-he actually loves putting his hands on your hips because he likes that he can be openly affectionate with you and still look cool

-he does give full-on hugs, but he feels like those are intimate, too intimate to be shared with the prying eyes of others. He’s a pretty small guy and he knows it, so to him, hugs are protective and private. Robin’s real hugs are very special

Billy “Paperboy” Showalter

-a lot like Robin, Paperboy isn’t one to hug you in public

-it’s not an intimacy thing, or a PDA thing, he could not give less of a shit about that

-but he correlates hugs to cuddles, so in his mind, if he’s gonna hug you, its gonna be an hours-long affair

-in public, if he wants a hug, but can’t cuddle you, he’ll just wrap an arm around your shoulder by its the closest he can get to having what he wants until y’all are alone

-when you’re alone, whether it’s at his house or yours, and he wants a hug, he’ll just drag you to a comfortable spot and y’all will cuddle until bodily needs overtake the sweet comfort of each other’s embrace, but seriously, clear your schedule bc you will not be moving for a very long time, don’t even try it

Griffin Stagg

-hugging is the most extreme form of PDA this boy can handle

-to him, hugging can be platonic and is ordinary to the public eye, so he doesn’t mind it, but he will end it if he feels like y’all are being watched

-his favorite way to hug you is to wrap his arms around your waist and across your lower back, which leaves room for you wrap your arms around your shoulders

-griffin knows he isn’t exactly the most affectionate boyfriend, whether its in public or not, so giving you hugs makes him feel like a better romantic partner

-its sort of silly tho bc in private, its almost as if he has trouble detaching himself from you. He’ll give you a hug, and then do an awkward shuffle to wherever he wants to go with you still in his arms. It makes him blush when you bring it up to him, so he’ll use his body to guide you to a bed or couch, body slam you, then leave as if it was nothing

Vance Hopper

-fine, but if he did hug you, it would be so totally low effort that it doesn’t even seem like a hug to other people

-he likes to shuffle up behind you and wrap one of his arms across your chest

-it honestly looks kind of threatening because of the way he’s positioned with an arm caging you to his side and his mouth very close to your ear, it looks like he’s threatening you or whispering malicious things to you if not for your pleased smile and the fact that he’s not actively yelling at anyone

Finn Blake

-like Bruce, he likes to wrap his arms around you

-in public, he’ll maneuver you to tuck your head into his chest or neck and sway you until he decides he’s had his fill for the moment

-sometimes if you’re just standing around by your lockers or the Grab n’ Go, he’ll have you curled into his side with an arm around you, casual and unassuming

-in private, especially in his house, he likes to tuck his head into your neck instead. For a very long time, his home wasn’t a very safe and happy place for him and the changes that came with escaping the Grabber didn’t magically fix his bad memories of his childhood. So he’ll curl into you and find comfort in your soft warmth. A good amount of the time, private hugs end up turning into cuddle sessions where he lays onto top of you with his head on your chest so he can listen to your heartbeat

your crush was no secret to any one that you knew; but everyone else was completely oblivious, including the blondie himself. Carly was beginning to get frustrated, seeing as you weren’t budging from your spot outside, she huffed, “Please! Its hot as hell outside, i mean im sweating everywhere! i want a soda and your little crush is in there anyways! please!

“My little crush is exactly the reason im not going in there, if you want a soda so badly i can give you some change and you can go and buy one!” You argued.

“pleasee” Carly begged once again, you were getting no where with this, “fine. i’ll go in” a girly squeal erupted from the brunette, she grabbed your hand and waltzed inside.

“You want a sprite or a doctor pepper?” Carly asked, she looked over, you were leaning on the freezer next to her, practically drooling on the floor, “Are you ever gonna tell him?” She asked, standing next to you, you turned to her.

Oh my god Vance hopper i’ve had a gigantic crush on you since middle school and i found it super hot when i saw you carve something on that poor kid cause he fucked with your game! thats so- weird! who says that? psychos thats who! he’d never like me anyways.” you crossed your arms over your chest, sighing.

A snicker came from Carly, you flashed her a confused “stop-laughing-at-my-pain” look. she opened her mouth, but didn’t say anything and instead she shook her head, turning her lips downward, closing her eyes and raising her brows.

“What were you saying about me?” A voice disturbed the silence you and your best friend had created, you tensed as an arm snaked around your shoulder. “Oh my shit god fuck” you cursed, snapping your entire body around quickly.

“You were not supposed to hear that! haha! oops whoops- i mean who said i was talking about you? well you are the only person in town named vance, but that could be a code name for uhm someone else? i guess that could make sense? fuck this is stupid im sorry oh my god please just ignore me” The word vomit just kept coming, a prideful smile was on the blondes face, “Im sorry” you breathed

“This is awkward. is this awkward? should we talk about something else?” you fiddled with your fingers awkwardly, the anxiety of the situation already.

though it quickly melted away when he pulled you in by your belt loops, impossibly making you two closer.

“we can talk about our date we have on Friday night” you could almost hear his heartbeat. was he nervous?

you smiled, your entire body heating up, your stomach erupting in butterflies. “yeah? lets talk about it”

you could feel him exhale, like a wave of relief washed over him, in any other situation this would be the worst thing ever. but no no! this was your crush of years! this was something that only happened in your dreams.

he let go of you. stepping back to give you some space, “maybe we could go to the diner off 8th, then the bowling alley.. get some slushies, red and blue?” he smirked knowingly.

“yeah, i’ll meet you there.”

“it’s a date!” he shouted as you walked off, “sure is hopper! sure is..” you lowered your voice as you walked over to carly and bradley.
