2. How do new system members choose their names?

They tend to just know when they wake up, especially the fictives. Most of us Blues use names that I chose “for myself” once upon a time when I didn’t know how many of us there were.

The exceptions are: Sol, who named himself after a poison for demon reasons, Escort 97, who named itself after a class of frigate, “Poet” and “Khaos” who don’t have names but use a title, and Schrödinger, who I named such because it’s a cat that both does and does not exist.

16. What system member is the strangest species?

Overall? Probably JT Thirteen, being a modified clone of a Gallifreyan/TTC coral hybrid. But for us? Hisaya, because he’s the only human in the system.

33. What is the funniest piece of system drama?

Trying to explain to a 10 year old that even though she’s a Blue and therefore has the skills to do so, she cannot drive, much less drive the forklift at work. And no, Little Prince, us allowing the gun to drive doesn’t change anything—the gun is an adult. No, we’re not letting the dog drive either. Or the cat. Or the child entropy god.

35. What’s something you like that no one else in the system likes?

I can’t think of anything in particular? Most of us have neutral-to-positive opinions on each others’ interests/tastes, but the others aren’t quite so keen on my obsession with Squirt.

i tend to assume it's for aesthetics esp when considering kh1 as like. square not quite knowing what they wanted yet (i saw someone refer to it like that and i was like yeah it kinda makes sense) and just wanting to throw the aesthetic in for edginess/mysteriousness BUT it's interesting to bring up the chapel in HB bc there's also the one in traverse town? one could draw contrasts between the two! in a guidebook? maybe? so i'm not sure how canon that is or (1/2)

if we should only adhere to the in game content as official canon, it mentioned that traverse town is made up of pieces of worlds lost to darkness so like maybe the chapel in TT is also referencing a chapel somewhere else?

You know, that's a good point. KH1 was a somewhat janky (affectionate), experimental beast and a first of its kind for Square. So it makes sense that Square would be throwing various things at the wall to see what sticks, and perhaps one of those things that didn't end up sticking was the suggestion that religion exists in KH's original worlds. And yeah, I suppose the chapel aesthetics would perfectly fit with the gothic atmosphere they were going for, even if it wasn't intended to mean anything. (The Stations of Awakening, come to think of it, are made of stained glass after all, something that's often associated with chapels).

You're referring to the Gizmo Shop's facade looking like a church and even having a church bell on top, right? (I didn't even consider that, so thank you for pointing it out). Yeah, I think if anything the fact that it's been repurposed as a "gizmo shop" hints to the fact that it's probably from another world, rather than something the residents built. Because why construct a church if you're just going to turn it into a shop anyway? I guess the refugees of Traverse Town have no need for a church? Despite the apocalypse happening all around them? (Maybe the end of the world actually made them less religious rather than more...interesting!)

Thinking about hikari finalfantasy a little bit. I think stormblood was kind of a huge turning point for her. ARR and heavensward she was working through like, the fact that she'd only recently gotten out of doing horrible things as a garlean conscript, and heavensward especially she was also dealing with like, everybody she'd come to love dying and disappearing, but by stormblood she'd had time to regain some semblance of stability, and she could actually start taking meaningful steps against the empire, which was like. Obviously terrifying but also obviously the thing she wanted the most. Like in her youth she didn't think it was even possible, which is why she started as a conscript, but now she's confident in her power and confident in her friends so it's empowering to be able to fight back. And then at the end, she fights zenos and he declares her a friend, and she kind of for the first time feels like someone else understands her love of fighting, but also? It's fucking horrifying that the only person who Gets It is the guy who represents everything that killed her whole family. And like, shouldn't she be ashamed? Isn't this Evil? Isn't this Darkness?

But before she really has a chance to think too hard, she's talking to Lyse and lyse wants to fight. And she has a great time! Here's someone else who enjoys a good fight! And lyse surely isn't evil, yknow? She's Light. She's not the warm hearth of haurchefaunt, she's not the gentle sunlight over afternoon tea of tataru, she's not the blinding brilliance hikari aspires to, but she's a light of her own. A shining beacon for others to rally beneath. And for someone like that, who led her people to freedom, the literal opposite of zenos, to also feel alive and smile and laugh in combat? It left her with a lot of complicated feelings. And I think from then on she was trying to assign some level of morality to it, but since it's a trait that's morally neutral, her thoughts got kind of muddled together and she saw zenos as less Evil and more Similar. And that kind of mutated into a shameful fascination and one sided friendship, since he was dead obviously and could no longer feel friendship for her. She couldn't admit it to anyone but she did hold it in her heart.

And then of course he was alive again and everything popped off in endwalker but like. Stormblood was an important time for her.

are there certain colors u gravitate towards using? does it differ by medium?

i really like eye popping colors like, viridian or crimson, spring green, aquamarine/cobalt/that kinda blue that makes red look like it’s hovering off the page n kinda hurts your eyes. oil based mediums tend to be also my abstract mediums, and i’m the most vibrant—and varied—i think with those colors. my digital art is all fairly neutrally/realistically toned. colored pencil i tend to gravitate toward soft pinks, yellows, greens.

these are a mix of watercolor, oil paint and pastel, acrylic paint, and spray paint

i've been super into wrestling lately, idk if that's a new au or sparks any interest/ideas! if it does, i guess like what's her gimmick if she has one? her style? any real injuries sustained in "fake" wrestling?

omgggggg!!! sorry this is late i just saw it going through my asks!! i’d LOVE for her to be a heel in the wrestling scene omggg her gimmick especially on her debut is fooling her opponents into thinking she’s not very smart or making herself out to be weak and then throwing them across the floor lololol she’s def got more of a Barbarian style and her fans eat it up!!! although she is a heel she’s super cute and girly so when she wins a match she blows a kiss or does a peace sign jdsioghweg just something cute!!! I would say her managers take care to make sure she doesn’t sustain real injuries but no doubt she’s sprained a few muscles during some of their moves.....

oo centaurman's vices make him cool tho ooo BUT is smoking an issue for robot masters/reploids/etc.? do you have any specific hcs abt it like is it coagulation of tar in the lung pieces or the inner chest workings? like maybe it's just inconvenient to clean out in addition to being smelly lol

I imagine it would have a tendency to stick and coat their ventilation systems. They wouldn’t necessarily get a smoker’s cough, but they would probably get louder venting the longer they kept up smoking. In turn it probably makes their system less effective and overheating gradually would become a problem. The smell is probably one of the lesser issues overall, but some people/fellow androids might not care for it.

These are things I’ve definitely thought about, just don’t usually mention at a risk of sounding dumb/boring haha.
