Please welcome this golden girl sweetheart! 💗 She is a 14 yr old Black Lab/ Beagle mix. Her name was Bailey and the girls have decided to rename her to Pearl. She is as precious as they come. Her elderly parents were put into fulltime nursing care. She had a wonderful life with her family but it was just impossible for them to care for her any longer. Even though she is a senior herself she is still active. She had been in boarding for awhile until they could find help. Her family found out about WWSDS. We were able to take her into foster today until there is space for her at the sanctuary. She will be staying with Anna and will get the very best of care and love! Pearl is very social and a kind dog. She gets along with everyone! She has been well loved. She is a tad chunky so she will go on weight management food, this girl loves her food! Don't we all? 😊 She is hard of hearing but that is pretty normal for her age. We are so happy she is now a part of our family. 🙏🙏 Foster needed for a senior dog 🙏🙏 Hi guys, just want to share you an update about everyone's favorite senior gal Munchies. She is recently diagnosed with arthritis, which is common for a girl her age ( she is 12ish). She was having issues moving around inside her kennel so our volunteer, Emma, bought her a mat so she would be more comfortable and can move around safely. Munchies loves it! Thanks Emma! ❤❤❤ We are still looking for someone to adopt this sweetheart. A shelter is not for any dogs especially a dog her age. We are also looking for a foster for her. Sadly Arnold’s owners weren’t impressed and at age 9 he was dumped at @downeyanimalcarecenter . he is currently their longest resident and today is his last day. Arnold needs a rescue or someone to adopt him. Munchies is a darling girl with lively brown eyes and a black and white coat resembling a delicious mocha cream treat! She a really sweet girl with a heartwarming smile. She loves belly rubs and enjoys the water hose. As an American Staffordshire Terrier, she tends to get very hot easily. She tends to pant heavily after some of her walks in warm weather, so it's important that she gets water while on her walks and to get cooled down with a water bath afterwards. She just loves to love her people! Munchies enjoys hanging out with her human friends and playing with squeaky toys. This lovely girl came to the shelter when she was surrendered by her previous owners because they moved to a place where dogs are not allowed. Despite losing her home at 10 years of age, Munchies hopes to find her forever home with a loving family who she can share her golden years with.
