The idea of a principal or favorite concubine, however, did not disappear immediately or completely. One of İbrahim’s hasekis, Saliha Dilaşub, consistently received a slightly larger stipend than the others.
To bestow special honors and recognition on the favorite of his final years, a concubine named Hümaşah, İbrahim married her in an elaborate ceremony of state, much as Süleyman had used marriage to elevate Hurrem’s status. Hümaşah became known as “Telli Haseki” because of the silver and gold thread (tel) used to adorn a bride’s hair.

Ibrahim -- Who do you think you are Turhan! Why did you have one of my favorites lashed.
Turhan -- The rules of the harem are in place, this woman insulted me your haseki.
Humasah -- As I told your majesty it is untrue. I was nothing but respectful. I asked other concubines and everyone is complaining about our Sultana here, if anyone tries to come close to you then poor them.
Ibrahim -- It is clear that your courage stems from my mother, if you like I can send you there too to the Florya Gardens. You can both walk around the gardens talking and plotting.
Turhan -- Hunkarim...
Ibrahim -- Enough I cannot stand to hear your voice anymore. You are just like my mother, you view yourself as more powerful than anyone else. Do not forget where you came from! You were a slave, a concubine who came from Russia. No more than that.
Turhan -- How can these words befit your haseki when I have given you two children!! Especially with a slave sitting next to you.
Ibrahim -- It is apparent that you will not learn. Leave us.Tonight, Turhan will serve us.
