mando season 3 (my version)
this season of mando shouldve been 8 eps, an intro, a conclusion, and 6 episodes where we see Din teaching Grogu the six tenants of the Resol'nare (a mando Commandment type scripture).
each ep would have a voiceover of him teaching this small child one of the ancient beliefs of his cherished dying religion as they exist in the wilderlands of space, each episode and its lone ranger&child arc reflecting and exemplifying a specific tenant. this would have been the perfect delivery method of expanding Mando lore to the audience because we, like Grogu, are children to the unshared canon concepts.
it would be a touching, intimate portrayal of this Clan of Two, this man imparting his hidden sacred wisdom of the Mandalorians on his child (in a reflection of how Luke did the same to Grogu with the Jedi/perhaps coupled with flashbacks of Grogu learning those Jedi principles and how they compliment or oppose Mandalorian teachings).
Grogu should have even encouraged Din with the darksaber in his own innocent way- making cute motions to mimick the saber techniques he saw Master Luke use. Showing curiosity towards it. Interacting w Mando - even with the use of CGI (lbr puppetry is seriously limiting their interactions).
then at the end, as Din struggles the entire journey, doing everything within his ability to reach his planet and trek its harzardous ruins, struggling the entire season through pitfalls and hardship we finally see Din reach the Waters to obtain absolution - and understand, because we the audience (like Grogu) learned the tenants, that he deserves forgiveness and is an unknowing paragon of his belief system, moreso than any other Mandalorian we have seen
enter the subplot: Grogu is sick. somehow, someway, getting weaker and more frail. maybe a Force sickness or some weird shit with the Sith that are growing in power in the Galaxy. Din is terrified and believes if Grogu bathes in the Waters its ancient magic will heal him. He fights tooth and nail to get there - not just for his own redemption, but for Grogu's life.
When they get to the Waters they are in fact destroyed as prophesized- and only enough remains for Din's absolution OR Grogu's life. He chooses Grogu - and the water does miraculously heals him.
(we later find out unbeknownst to Din that the water has no special magic, but only is sacred when the Mand'alor blesses it... which he became the moment he gave up his absolution for Grogu's life).
when finally coming face to face with his Clan - we are faced with moral conflict.
Din explains he went to the Waters but he could not be absolved, that Grogu was cleansed instead.
we see Din's clan reject him according to their beliefs, but more painfully for him they reject Grogu (perhaps the leaders of the Tribe do not want the active believers to know absolution exists in the form of the Waters and claim the act was impossible as the mines were destroyed, or perhaps the elders are wary of the Jedi child). This shakes Din's beliefs, and makes him rightfully angry - this child is a Mandalorian, by Creed.
we see the Tribe, although believers and earnest, do have their own limiting prejudices (an occurence in all societies).
this conflict would eventually cause him to part ways with his Clan, willingly, for the sake of a Foundling. to discover the origins of Tarre Viszla and how he balanced his force abilities with his Mandalorian Creed. now truly alone in the Wilds of the Universe with only his individual heart to guide him - we see him following the Creed on his own. a true believer with no guide but his soul. in a reflection of the way that he left the Guild for Grogu.
and like Grogu, we would wonder - what makes a true Mandalorian? The creed? The clan?
or Din himself? the sword suddenly glowing at his hip.
[cut to the Living Waters, dry as a bone, an enormous crackling, destructive sound, a surge of water charging up from the underbelly of the planet. alive once more, only dessiccated before as the Mand'alor did not live.. and now that has changed]
also spoiler alert they resolve their differences and eventually the Tribe rejoins HIM.

You Do It For Me
Tumblr media
character: Din Djarin (The Mandalorian)
prompt: Staring at them and admiring them all day, hoping they won't notice (they definitely do)
main masterlist • prompt masterlist
Tumblr media
"Hey." Din's voice is soft as he sets a hand on your shoulder. "Did you hear me?"
You blink a few times and force yourself to focus on his visor. Your mind is slow in processing his words. "Did I... oh, yeah, I'm sorry." You nod and tap the floating pod at your side. "We'll stay right here."
Din tilts his helmet. "Thank you." He gives your shoulder a gentle squeeze. "I won't be long."
You will your strength not to melt to the soil beneath you and offer a small smile instead. Din's visor lingers on you for only a moment before he turns and walks away, making his approach to the merchant he'd been in contact with before.
Your gaze remains on him, but not because you're worried. You haven't been able to let your eyes look upon anything else today except for him, and your mind's only encouraged it. The way he does anything, everything, threatens to make you forget how to stand on your own two feet.
Usually, you're better about hiding such admiration, but not every battle is easy to win—especially with a Mandalorian involved.
Right now, all he's doing is talking to the merchant, but even at this distance you can sense his business-like tone. His gloved hands are resting on his belt, his weight shifted onto one hip, taking a relaxed yet intimidating stance. His helmet tilts as he points at something the merchant has.
His hand then falls to his side and pulls into a tight fist. You're familiar with the strength of that grasp, having experienced it in ways that make your face flush in public.
It's simple, so simple, but the action is enough to send you into the most beautiful kind of spiral. It's a breathtaking cycle, and today, it's been endless. Everything he does sends your mind running in a podrace with no finish line.
You peel your gaze away only for a moment to check on Grogu. He's still asleep within the pod, making you smile as you close it once again. By the time you're looking back at Din, that quick moment of innocence is gone.
He's testing out a vibroblade, in need of something new after Moff Gideon's troopers took his on Mandalore. Din flips it over a few times in his gloved hand, nodding in satisfaction before he completes a few more skillful moves. You clasp your hands together behind your back and take a deep breath.
This man is going to be the end of you, but you couldn't ask for a sweeter demise.
Din closes out his deal and makes his way back towards you. His stride alone makes you shift your weight between your feet as you distract yourself by tending to Grogu once again. He's still asleep and as unbothered as ever.
"Thank you for your patience." Din's words are soft once again as his gloved hand finds your shoulder once again. He runs his thumb over it and nods. "Ready to go?"
You nod and bite your cheek. Din leads the way back to the ship, and you're more than happy to watch him do so. His beskar shines in the sunlight of this planet, making him stand out in the most perfect way. You curse to yourself under your breath and shake your head. You've been trying to be subtle, but he's making it difficult.
You're forced apart to follow him in your small ship back to Nevarro, and by the time you get there, it's already nightfall. Your trip for supplies had been enough to fill the day, and for you, it had certainly been eventful in its own way. You look forward to holding Din close and pretending your fond admiration hadn't happened as you seek your rest together.
But once Din puts Grogu to bed and joins you in the darkness of the bedroom, he foils your plans. "Did you see something you liked today?"
His question takes you aback. You stand up from where you'd been sitting on the edge of the bed, though it's nearly impossible to make out his figure in the dark haze of the room. "What do you mean? At the market? We got everything I wanted."
Din's gloved hands are gentle in finding your waist, as if he's giving you the chance to pull away. When you make no such move, he pulls you against him. "You know what I'm talking about."
You rest your hands upon his cuirass and shake your head in embarrassment. "Damn. I was really hoping you wouldn't notice."
Din chuckles and gives your waist a gentle squeeze before he lifts one hand to his helmet. "That's one thing I really enjoy about this helmet." Din's modulated voice is exchanged for his natural one as you hear the helmet hit the floor. "You had no idea I was doing the very same thing to you all day."
You raise your brow even as you smile at him. "And how am I supposed to believe you're not just saying that to make me feel better?"
Din brings himself close enough to you for his nose to brush against your own. "I'll give you proof." He keeps his own smirk hovering just above your own, giving you the invitation to make the final move.
You do so without hesitation, smiling even more against him as you begin to remember exactly why you've been stuck in such a sweet cycle of admiration.

It’s almost surprising that the mandalorian puts very little effort into depicting Din as an honorable mercenary- his reception is generally that of wholesome dad, but the canon is explicit about him not vetting his targets or his clients, and not caring enough to do so. He changes his mind eventually in the face of a literal baby, but he was fully prepared to do people trafficking for imperials, he generally kills without a flinch, and he says outright to his bounty in tbobf that he doesn’t care who hired him or why, and then... literally delivers a head on a plate, after killing a room full of slaughterhouse workers. That’s... not even between the lines. What did that guy actually do? He clearly has some compassion, and is frequently moved by the people he interacts with, but that’s juxtaposed with his ‘cool’ violence that barely makes an effort to be palatable.
That concession to palatability mostly being that the majority of the people he indiscriminately shoots at in the course of handing over people to anyone who has a grievance and also money, or whenever really, are non human, and the humans he does kill tend to be imperials. and also that whenever he’s in a room with other bounty hunters he comes off better than them because they have no honor(tm). Normally I would maybe say it was bad faith to look at the aliens he killed when he first took Grogu, or the aliens he killed when he infiltrated that imperial facility and there were local “pirates” trying to destroy the explosives they were transporting (but not steal, despite being “pirates”)(knowing the locals were discontented with imperial presence), but when it’s in the text that he doesn’t think too hard about his work or his kills, and no vetting is involved, well.
This is less present in season three for Din, but Axe was much the same.

Little Clan
Tumblr media
Pairing: Din Djarin x Fem!reader
Warnings: fluff, topics of pregnancy, sickness, etc.
Summary: You recently found out you’re pregnant and you have to tell Din
Word count: Like 700
Translation: Mesh’la (MAYSH’la) - “Beautiful”, Ad’ika (ah-DEE-kah) - “Little one”
༺═────────────═༻
You’d been wrecked for the past few days. Spending so much time in bed or throwing up had taken a toll on you, causing your mental state to drop as well and make you more emotional than usual.
Din of course tended to you as if you were dying. He brought you food, did your hair, and basically just stayed with you all day. it wasn’t until today that he had to leave the Razor Crest for a couple of hours. He was hesitant but you insisted you would be just fine.
Up until early that morning, you thought it was just a particularly difficult sickness. But a thought climbed into your mind, which wouldn’t leave until you answered to it. And about an hour ago, you confirmed it. you were pregnant.
There were mixed feelings. How would Din feel about it? you didn’t even know how you felt. You knew Din and you knew he wouldn’t be upset, but it was a subject you never talked about before.
You took a few deep breaths to keep yourself from getting overwhelmed. Now sitting on the floor of the ship, you stared into a strip of metal that was clean enough to see your reflection in. That’s where you had been for at least the past ten minutes. You stayed there, even after hearing the ramp door slide open.
A hand gingerly went to your stomach, turning your head to see your armored Din climbing the ramp and into the ship.
Without greeting him, you turned back to the makeshift mirror, hearing him set Grogu down with a soft “There you go, buddy.” and raising the ramp.
Your heart picked up pace as he approached you, jumping to every possible negative outcome. Most of which were pretty far fetched.
His helmet tilted just slightly to the side. He knew you well enough to know when something was wrong, even on top of an illness. And you were terrible at hiding things from him.
“Can you tell me what’s wrong?” He kneeled beside you and spoke as softly as he could through a modulator. When met with silence, he removed his helmet and scooped you up, setting you on his cot.
“You can tell me, mesh’la” He assured, lifting a hand to the side of your face. You met his eyes, which gazed back at you with gentle worry.
You sighed. Why were you so scared to tell him? This was Din, your Din who loved you and had no problem reminding you. You savored his touch on your face, feeling his thumb brush over your cheek.
“Din, I-” You started hesitantly. “Im pregnant.” His face changed from concern to shock. Which was rightfully so because you may have just dropped the biggest news on him he’d ever heard.
You’ve never heard him stutter before, but he did then. “Y-you’re what?” He responded. You thought at first he really was upset, but then his expression changed again. A smile started building on his face, bringing the rest of his features following suit.
“You’re not joking with me?” He asked, putting his hands on your shoulder. He now sported a huge smile. You haven’t seen him look like this in a long time. It made your heart absolutely leap.
You shook your head. “No, of course not.” you giggled. Din pulled you into him, pressing tender kisses to the side of your head. He now held you delicately, as if you were fragile now that you were carrying his child.
You wrapped your arms around him, burying your face into his neck where you stayed for a long time. “We’re going to have a child, Din.” you finally said, muffled against his neck.
“Our ad’ika.” he replied softly, giving a kiss to the top of your head. Your smile grew. Your little clan would soon have another addition. and both of you were no less than thrilled about it.

#23: IT'S A SURPRISE
.
"dating isn't about dating anymore. you are picking your potential apocalypse partner. choose wisely folks." -unknown
.
“A date?” You asked in surprise.
Din nodded once, his tone nonchalant, “Yes.” Honestly, you weren’t sure why you were surprised. The two of you were courting. That’s what a courting couple did, right? Assuming that a courting couple was the exact equivalent of dating. If Din saw your mild confusion, he made no comment on it. He was leaning against the kitchen counter as you packed Grogu a lunch for his day. “Well, the more accurate translation from Mando’a is ‘courting session’, but date sounds better.”
You chuckled. “It does.” You zipped up Grogu’s lunch bag and bit your lower lip in a nervous excitement before shrugging once. “What happens during a Mandalorian ‘courting session’? An impromptu bounty hunting mission? Live combat?” The words were said with a teasing tone, but Din not reply and your eyes widened. “Din, do Mandalorians hunt quarries for their date nights?”
“No.” He answered quickly. “And I would never take you on a hunt. Maker, I’d be sick with worry.” He mumbled the last bit with a shake of his head. Finally, he shrugged. “The combat part isn’t so far off though.” You raised an eyebrow in question. “My people weren’t able to sit around a table to share food or bond over a meal. We shared stories and time through training so… courting and training tended to go hand in hand.”
It made a weird amount of sense to you. How much of your life was spent sitting at a table with family and friends sharing lives or talking over breakfast, lunch, or dinner? So much of a person’s culture and history was orally passed down through mealtimes and before this moment you never gave it a second thought. It never occurred to you how a family that couldn’t reveal their faces would bond and share their lives with one another. Mandalorians choosing combat as their bonding activity of choice was more than fitting.
“Alright.” You nodded. Din seemed to release a breath of relief and you found it endearing and adorable that he was nervous about asking you this. As if you wouldn’t immediately jump at the chance to spend more time with him. “But, if I go on a Mandalorian date you have to go on a not Mandalorian date.”
“A not Mandalorian date?” Din chuckled. “What happens during one of those?”
“It’s a surprise.” You replied simply. It was a ploy to buy yourself some more time to think of something great. It had been ages since you last went on a date, and you had never been on a date with a Mandalorian let alone a Mandalorian you loved. This needed to be perfect. “What kind of combat should I expect?”
“It’s a surprise.” Din echoed your sentiment. You chuckled and when he reached out to lightly grasp your wrist and pull you around the kitchen island, you let him. His hands settled on your hips as he tugged you into his chest⏤ you let your own hands wrap around the back of his neck in response. The motions were so fluid and natural to you. Second nature. Din lightly tapped his helmet against your forehead. “You gonna close your eyes or not, ner kar’ta?”
“Depends.” You teased.
“Yeah? On what?”
“You gonna fix the bathroom door or not?” You replied. Din chuckled sheepishly. The bathroom's doorway had been covered with a simple sheet since being broken down last week. It was simply a running joke on how long it’d take to get it replaced. You didn’t really care all that much. Especially since you knew Din had been crazy busy with getting the Mandalorians settled in Nevarro⏤ and simply restoring Nevarro as well.
Din shook his head. “I’m working on it.”
“Don’t worry. I was just gonna have Paz over to fix it for us⏤”
Din turned your back to the island counter and he pushed you so he could pin your hips against the cabinets there. He leaned in, his voice low enough to be a growl, “Close your eyes.” Unable to resist, you let your eyes fall closed while a smirk continued to play on your lips. Only seconds after they had shut did you feel Din move abruptly and suddenly his lips were pressed against yours in a crushing kiss. With one hand cupping the side of your face, Din molded his lips against yours forcing them to part so he could let his tongue explore your mouth. Maker, he was getting too good at this. The frantic and desperate kiss had a possessive edge to it that you found yourself craving. Din nipped at your lower lip suddenly and you sucked in a sharp breath in response. A low chuckle rumbled in his chest as he let his lips trail along your jaw down to your neck where he began to leave open mouth kisses.
“Din…” You gasped, breathless, as his teeth grazed your skin. The feel of his hot tongue gliding over where his teeth had grazed you made your body tremble. You buried a hand into Din’s soft hair. The only image you had of his pretty, brown hair was that one morning so long ago where you had seen him from behind. Just a flash. A vague memory of slightly curled locks. You raked your fingers through his hair, scratching his scalp lightly, and Din groaned against your neck. You wanted to see his hair so badly, but for now you’d settle for feeling it between your fingers.
“We… We gotta go to work.” You mumbled.
Din pulled your scrubs collar to the side so he could pepper kisses along your collarbone. “We’ll call in sick.”
“The marshal and doctor of Nevarro?” You chuckled. “Playing hooky?”
“They’ll survive one day without us.” Din replied.
“Grogu is right down the hall. Do you really want him to walk in and see this?”
Din pressed his lips softly to the space right underneath your ear and you let out a shuddered breath, “We’re his parents.” You could feel his breath against your skin. “We’re supposed to scar him for life, I think.”
You tugged on his hair lightly to pull his lips up to yours so you could capture him in a chaste kiss. There was something about the way Din would so casually refer to you as Grogu’s official caretaker that sent chills up your spine. It felt permanent. It gave you a look into a more concrete future. One where Din and Grogu were both yours and yours alone.
Din let out a soft sigh before pulling back. You waited to open your eyes until you felt the cool metal of his helmet pressing against your forehead. You drummed your fingers against the armor covering his chest. “So, when’s this Mandalorian courting session of ours?”
“How about this weekend?” Din asked. “We should both have some time off then.”
“Perfect.” You agreed, and it was. With Din by your side, you felt safe. The world wasn’t perfect, far from it, and scars still littered your soul. However, Din made it bearable. You didn’t have to be scared or worried. Not with him. Never with him. “Lemme go check on Grogu. He’s been a little too quiet for a little too long.”
“True.” Din squeezed your hips once before allowing you to slip away.
You glanced at him over your shoulder with a smile⏤ you’d never get tired of staring at his tall and broad form. Even covered head to toe in layers of clothes and metal, Din was gorgeous. You slipped down the hall and called out for the little boy to hear no reply.
“Grogu?” You poked your head into Din’s bedroom to see a green ear sticking out from his hammock. You frowned in confusion. Why had he crawled back into bed? “Grogu, baby, you’re gonna be late.”
“No.” He blurted.
Your eyes widened, “Grogu⏤”
“No. Don’t wanna go.” Grogu mumbled.
Worried, you reached into the hammock and pulled Grogu out of his blankets and into your chest. He curled up there without hesitation and with a furrowed brow you rubbed his back. “Baby boy, what’s going on?”
“No.” He just repeated the word.
School was not back in session. Wynn’s funeral was two days ago and though there were people to rise up and pick up her role in this community they had big shoes to fill and no one was quite ready to attempt that yet. However, one of the Mandalorians offered to host a daycare-esque group in order to watch the children of parents who needed to work. You were fairly certain this babysitting would involve training of sorts. This seemed more likely after hearing Din explain what a courting session was.
“Don’t you wanna go see your friends?” You asked.
“El not there.” Grogu pouted.
“Right.” You nodded. Elodie was still off world with her parents. She was doing very well, but it might be a while longer before they returned. “But Poe will be there, and all your other friends.”
“Miss not there.”
Your heart broke at his quivering words. Grogu had not handled the funeral well at all. You knew he was taking the loss of his teacher hard. You hugged him tighter to your chest and let out a soft sigh. A knock made you glance over your shoulder to see that Din had followed after you since you hadn’t returned with the green boy in tow.
“Is everything okay?” Din came closer. He reached out and set his hand on top of Grogu’s head. “Ad’ika?”
“No!” Grogu chirped again and kept his face buried against you.
You felt Din’s gaze lift to yours. He tilted his head and you replied quietly, “He misses Wynn.” Din’s shoulders slumped. Quickly, you squeezed Grogu in your arms. “How about you come to work with me today, baby?”
“Lek!” Grogu’s head shot up. “Lek! Lek, Ma.”
You felt relief flood your heart at seeing Grogu’s mood shift back to his typical eager self. Din’s hand settled on your lower back and he leaned in. “Are you sure that’s okay? I can take him, ner kar’ta.”
“You’re gonna be moving all around the city today.” You shook your head. “It’ll be easier for me to watch him.” You shot him a smile. “Plus, you got to spend weeks with him alone and exploring the universe. It’s my turn to hog his attention.”
Din chuckled. “Alright. That’s fair.”
You tickled Grogu’s side and he laughed at the distraction. Taking the boy into work with you today, though most likely a distraction, would be fun. With the decision settled, the three of you made your way out of the house and into the city’s center. This was always one of your favorite activities. Walking with your boys was the perfect start to your day.
“Be good for Ma today, ad’ika.” Din bowed his head against Grogu’s as you came to a stop outside the clinic. Grogu gave his father’s helmet a few pats. Din lifted his gaze back to your, and you heard amusement fill his voice as he lifted his hand to caress the side of your neck. “You be good today too, ner kar’ta.”
“Hm.” You replied with a smirk. “No promises.”
Din chuckled with a shake of his head and he lingered in his spot while you and Grogu headed into the clinic. You glanced over your shoulder to give him a small wave before slipping out of his line of sight. You bounced Grogu in your arms, “Alright, baby, let’s find you some stuff to do while Ma works, huh?”
“Lek!”
Tumblr media
“You don’t have to plan to go yet. We always have a place for you.” Din said warmly to Vanth who was sitting on his desk. The man had healed up well, but there were still lingering scars and bruises from the fight. Din would always be in this man’s debt for the lengths he went to in order to protect Nevarro while Din was gone.
“Don’t say that.” Mayfeld cried out. “How the hell are we gonna get rid of him if you keep offering a spot??”
Vanth chuckled. “Oh, come on, Miggsy. I thought you liked me as a roommate. Why else did you offer me your spare room?”
“I didn’t! You invited yourself!”
Din listened to the men argue with a chuckle. The building Vanth had been staying in was one of the housing areas destroyed in the attack. As much as they seemed to be at one another’s neck, Din had a feeling that they’d miss one another deep down. Deep, deep down. Their relationship reminded him of the one he shared with Paz. Din would go to war to protect his brother in arms and support him, but he also wanted to wring the man’s neck most days.
“Djarin!”
Speak of the devil…
Din glanced over his shoulder to see Paz step into the marshal office and he made the room look so much smaller just from his size and presence. It felt odd to hear his name said in public like that. With the migration of Mandalorians to Nevarro, Din realized he might need to make alterations. Most of the city still called him Marshal because he didn’t offer them his name, but Din did choose to share it with his inner circle. Vanth, Mayfeld, Karga, Peli, Nima. Just the people he trusted without a doubt.
“You needed to speak to me?” Paz spoke up. “Can you make this quick? I wanted to swing by the clinic to greet wero’ika⏤”
“I gave her my token of intention.” Din snapped. “She accepted, we’re courting. Back off.”
Paz let out a full belly laugh and it took a bulk of Din’s self control to not shoot him. Vanth and Mayfeld had put aside their bickering to focus on the conversation at hand. Din grumbled in annoyance. The one thing that got both men to end an argument was always at his sake it seemed.
“Whoa, wait, you’re talking about Soran?” Mayfeld cried out. “I assume that’s the only person in the clinic you’d be courting.”
Vanth chuckled. “Courting. That’s adorable, brother. Is it a Mandalorian thing?”
“Also, why would you even need to court her?” Mayfeld suddenly added. “The two of you are practically married already. You live together and share a son. You got ‘couple celebrating their tenth anniversary’ vibes.”
Din shook his head in exasperation, but he didn’t bother voicing the fact that he quite liked that everyone in the city seemed to forget you had started as his son’s nanny. As far as they were concerned, you were Grogu’s mother and that made Din’s heart ache with pride.
“In order to properly wed someone to Mandalorian customs, courting must come first. It's taken him long enough.” Paz answered. Both men had already been introduced to Din’s brother days ago when rebuilding and clean up of the city had started. “We have a word for him in Mando’a. Utreekov.”
Din rolled his eyes and Mayfeld let out a laugh. Din’s head snapped to the deputy, “Why’re you laughing? You don’t even know the word.”
“No, but I’m decent at context clues and can make a pretty good bet.” Mayfeld snickered.
“When is your first courting session?” Paz demanded.
Mayfeld narrowed his eyes. “Wait, does that mean ‘date’?”
Vanth crossed his arms and shot his friend a wide, mocking grin. “Hot damn, Miggsy! You are good with those context clues, ain’t ya?”
“You’re literally the worst.” Mayfeld grumbled.
Din crossed his arms. “This weekend.”
“And have you chosen your combat activity yet?”
Vanth and Mayfeld both paused their bickering once more to snap their attention to Paz. Vanth spoke up first. “I’m sorry, did you say ‘combat activity’? Because if so, I have many questions.”
“Not yet.” Din answered Paz’s question, choosing to ignore Vanth’s. “Why?”
“Am I not allowed to ask?”
Din narrowed his eyes at Paz dubiously. He wouldn’t describe his brother as necessarily ‘nosy’, and he didn’t think Paz would deliberately undermine him. However, he remained skeptical nonetheless. Mayfeld cleared his throat and waved his hand once. “Can we circle back around to 'combat on a date'?”
“It’s just a custom we have.” Din replied in an offhand manner.
Vanth shrugged. “Why get a drink together when you can try to stab one another with a knife?”
“Hm,” Din hummed, “Training with her new dagger actually isn’t a terrible idea.”
“We have different definitions of the word ‘terrible’.” Mayfeld snorted.
“Actually,” Vanth countered, “I think you should use context clues to realize that our buddy Din here⏤”
“Maker, can you leave already!?”
Din nodded his head for Paz to follow him and both Mandalorians walked back to Din’s office leaving Mayfeld and Vanth in the main room. In the privacy of his office, Din turned to face Paz who spoke before he could.
“Did you call me here to ask for advice, vod?” Paz chuckled.
“No, I⏤ Wait, advice for what?”
“For courting gar kar’ta?”
Din bristled in annoyance at Paz picking fun at his nickname for you. He crossed his arms, “Why would I need your advice?” He scoffed. “You’ve known her for a little over a week.”
“I know how little experience you have courting at all. Thought I would help as able. You know,” Paz had a tone in his voice that told Din the man was grinning as he slipped into Mando’a, “So you don’t fuck it up, Djarin.”
Din scoffed. Honestly, he knew if he had a question on the topic of courting he could come to Paz for an answer. He would be mocked relentlessly, but after the ribbing Paz would eventually get to the advice. The issue was Din didn’t even know what to ask. Paz was right. Din had very, very little experience in courting. It was never a priority for him until meeting you. His biggest fear regarding the courting was that his lack of experience would somehow mess this up, but Din had to remind himself how easy things were with you. It was natural.
“So?” Paz pressed.
“Well,” Din began, “I was⏤ Wait, no, stop. That’s not what I called you here for.”
“You sure? It seems you need all the help you can get.”
“B'epa slaat bal ramaana.”
Paz’s howling laughter made Din regret calling him into the office in the first place.

“I told you to keep that bandage dry and you didn’t.” You snapped at one of the local construction workers sitting on your cot. Today wasn't too busy which was nice. Grogu was bouncing happily in the sling you wore which tied him to your front. You covered his large ears, making him glance up at you, then spoke. “That’s why the damn thing is infected, you idiot.”
The worker gave you a sheepish smile. He was a repeat offender which gave him the honor of getting to hear your full thought process rather than the more politically correct version. You uncovered Grogu’s ears and he just laughed at your antics as if it were a game you were playing with him. Aayla drifted over and you gave the woman a broad grin.
“What would you do?” You asked, quizzing her.
Her eyes brightened, excited to be challenged, “Clean the wound today. Replace the bandages. Then start him on an anti-bacterial.”
“Ointment or oral medication?” You pressed.
Aayla paused in thought then sighed, “I… I’m not sure.”
“That’s alright. You’re learning, and you’re doing great.” You reassured her. “We’re gonna start him on an oral medicine to take because he’s an idiot,” Your eyes dragged to his as you emphasized your words, “that needs to keep his wound dry and clean before the infection turns systemic.”
Aayla giggled and the man laughed as well in good nature. You shook your head and began to walk away to leave Aayla to clean up his wound. Grogu bounced in the sling and began to chant, “Idiot, idiot, idiot.”
“No, no, baby.” You looked down and tugged him lightly on the ear. “That’s an adult word, you don’t use that.”
He repeated the word twice more, making you wince, but you supposed it wasn’t the worst thing for the child to repeat. As often as Din barked out the curse ‘dank farrik’ around the house it was a miracle Grogu hadn’t added that phrase to his vocabulary.
“Hey!” You glanced over to see Nima sweep into the room with a wave. She hurried over to greet you and Grogu. “Hey there, you green little bug.”
“Idiot!”
Nima’s eyes widened, “Whoa, hey.”
“Sorry, he’s been blurting it out because I told him not to say it.”
“Oh, okay. I was about to be super sad.” Nima chuckled. She reached out and tickled Grogu who squealed in response. “How come you got the baby with you?” You shook your head to let her know you’d tell her later. Not wanting to bring up the topic of Wynn in front of Grogu again. Nima picked up and moved on. “Busy morning?”
You shook your head. “Not so much. It’s been alright. You?”
“These days we’re so busy with repairs I don’t think I’ve touched an engine block in days.” Nima groaned. “I’m happy to be helpful, but Maker, do I miss tinkering.”
“Well, I might have news that’ll cheer you up.” You grinned. “Din and I are going on our first date this weekend.”
Nima scoffed. “Date? Why don’t you guys just get married already?”
“Nima.”
“Fine.” Her lips turned into a bright smile. “So date, huh? What’s on the agenda?”
“Hand to hand combat. Maybe.” You shrugged and Nima tilted her head in alarm. You explained to her the Mandalorian custom then focused on your half. “I get to plan a regular date though.”
Nima clapped her hands in excitement and Grogu copied her motions while peering up at you. “Do you have an idea yet??”
You nodded and bit your lower lip before voicing your thoughts. “I was thinking of making us a picnic to lay out in our living room. Pin up string lights, make a nice meal with wine and dessert.” Nima blinked at you without a reaction. “What?”
“That’s kind of… boring, isn’t it?” Nima scrunched her nose. “I just mean, I thought you guys would do something exciting! The lava plains does tours that’ll take you right up to the volcano’s edge. There are hot springs at the outside of the city where the two of you could share a bath.” She shimmied her shoulder. “You know, something like that.”
You twisted your lips, “You think he won’t like my idea?”
“You know your husband better than I do.” Nima held her hands out in surrender, Grogu mimicking her once more. You rolled your eyes at the ‘husband’ comment. “I was just offering my two cents.”
You hummed in thought and stood in place as Nima pulled a bag of candy out of her shoulder pack and began to feed them to Grogu who gobbled them up happily. Technically, the date you had in mind really wasn’t the most exciting of things the two of you could do. That being said, it felt right. Going on a lava plains tour, Din would be stressing the entire time about you accidentally falling into the mouth of a volcano to fully relax. Going to the hot springs, Din couldn’t actually enjoy it with you unless he decided to strip out of his armor and you knew he didn’t like being bare out in even a semi-public area. You also couldn’t go out to eat or for drinks in the city since he couldn’t remove his helmet.
More so, staying at home allowed you the opportunity to get his mouth on you which was always a plus. All those thoughts should put a stone of anxiety in your belly, but instead all you felt was excitement. The comfort and safety Din brought with his presence left no room for doubt or strain. He was home.
"Oh, also, I was gonna ask," Nima pointed at your neck, "What's up with the giant hickey?"
"Huh?" You blurted. Nima rustle through her pack again and pulled out a compact mirror. She held it up to you and your eyes widened at the sight of the two darker patches of skin where Din had left bruises with his kisses this morning. One on your neck and the other by your collarbone. Your face warmed up and an amused smile pulled up the corners of your lips. "That son of a bitch."
Grogu squealed, "Son of a bitch!"

Light blazes through the cracked window, his room rapidly warming up from the brutal Nevarro heat. Din stirs as he hears his son babbling from his room right next to his. Rising to his feet, he pads into the next room, greeted by an excited Grogu. Din scoops him up out of his bed, and carries him into the kitchen.
Grogu’s been babbling a lot more, Din is curious if he’ll say his first words soon. He fixes up Grogu’s breakfast and sets him in his chair at the table along with the food. Making sure his son doesn’t choke while eating, he makes a mental list of things they need to get today at the market.
Beams, wire, fence lining.
Grogu spills some of his breakfast on his tunic, eliciting a sigh from Din.
New clothes for Grogu are added to the list.
After breakfast, Din changes Grogu out of his messy tunic into a spare one he keeps in the drawer for laundry days. Settling Grogu back into his tiny bed, which Din so proudly made himself, he places his favorite ball and a stuffed frog Greef Karga had gifted to him inside to keep him occupied while he gets ready.
He trudges into the refresher, turns on the shower and strips down before stepping into the water. While scrubbing, Din makes another mental list of chores he needs to do around the farm.
Tend to the yard, give the starfighter a tune-up, begin building the fence around the pond.
He steps out of the shower and dries off. Dressing in the refresher, he slips back out into the hall and back into his room.
He’s still adjusting to this new life, never knowing such tranquility and domesticity before. They haven’t got much yet, but he’s trying his best. Wanting to give his son a new, calmer life after all they’ve been through.
Sliding on his helmet and tacking on his remaining equipment, he slings the sack Grogu likes to occasionally ride in over his shoulder. He pads back into Grogu’s room, scooping up his gurgling son as he’s entertained with his toys, and placing him into his pram. The clan of two sets off on a long day of gathering things for their new home.
Tumblr media
Sauntering into the markets, the clan heads in the direction of the hardware stand. Buying a few beams, wire, and a few sheets of metal fencing to build a fence surrounding the pond in his front yard. Din efficiently packs the supplies together and slings them on his back.
The fabric stand catches his eye, noting that he and Grogu do need more clothes, and even some new bedding.
As Din peruses through the selection of handcrafted items, picking up a new set of sheets for himself and garments for him and his son, Grogu wanders off in his pram to the stuffed animals.
Din perks up at Grogu’s babbling, seeing that his son has picked up a stuffed bantha. “No, Grogu. Put that down, we’re only buying things we need right now.” Grogu’s ears droop as he whines. “We’ll come back in a few days. I promise, kid.”
“Do you need help with anything?” A sweet voice breaking through the bustling air.
You appear from behind one of the cloaks that are hung up on display, kindly smiling at him and Grogu. Din’s breath hitches in his throat at the sight of you. You look radiant, ethereal - your beauty rendering him speechless for a moment before clearing his throat.
“Uh, no, ma’am. Is this your stand?” He asks, feeling flustered.
“It is. Do you like that one, baby?” You ask, crouching a bit to get on Grogu’s level, who’s cooing at your words. “Take it, sweetheart. It’s okay,” you gently tell him.
“Oh no, I’m sorry. We’re only buying necessities today. Will you have any more next week?” You smile up at the mandalorian. “Nonsense, it’s on the house,” you tell him, giddy as a toothy grin plasters your face. “I’m afraid I can’t accept, ma’am. Thank you for your generosity, but-”
“You mandalorians are always so cordial. I insist it’s on the house. It’s alright, sweet boy. Go on, take it,” you say. Grogu squeals and squishes the stuffed bantha into a bone crushing embrace, your heart melting at the sight of the little green child.
“Thank you, ma’am. That’s very kind of you. Could you at least let me pay for it?” You playfully roll your eyes. “Is your helmet sound proof or something? It’s on the house,” you smile, winking at him.
Thank the stars Din wears this helmet, or else you’d be able to see how red he is underneath.
“I surrender. You drive a hard bargain. I’d at least like to pay for the clothes and these sheets. Are you the seamstress in charge, ma’am?”
You perk up at his question. “I’ll allow you to pay for the clothes, and that I am!”
You’ve got a bit of a spunky personality, from what Din can gather.
“Do you happen to take commissions? These shirts will fit him fine, but if it’s not too much trouble, could I possibly ask for some smaller ones that’ll fit him a little better? I’ll even pay double whatever you normally charge,” he rambles. A twinkle glints in your eyes, your face hurts as you can’t stop smiling at the flustered mandalorian.
“I do take commissions. And no need to pay me double, I’m more than happy to help at whatever price works for you,” you kindly respond. The mandalorian huffs out a modulated chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Thank you very much, ma’am. Could I stop by tomorrow with him to get his measurements? We’ll be in town again gathering more supplies for our new cabin. We’re still settling in and I want him to have enough clothes,” he tells you.
“Sure! I’ll be here for the next week until dusk or whenever I sell out, whichever comes first. Are you liking Nevarro so far?” You curiously ask, wondering if he’s got a spouse at home.
“We are. It’s a much quieter life than our past one, but… it’s a nice change. Just want to make sure the kid has everything he needs.”
You nod at his answer, unable to stop the next words tumbling from your lips. “Does your spouse need any custom garments as well, or just your son?”
“No spouse. It’s just me and my son,” he quickly blurts. Your smile reappears at his answer, silence brewing amongst you two. Grogu’s gurgling cuts through the air, both of you turning to look at the excited child in his pram.
“You’re a good dad,” you softly tell him.
“Thank you. You’re a very kind woman. Thank you for being so kind to my son,” he quietly says, fondly staring at Grogu who is occupied with his new toy. “Of course. I can tell he’s a sweet kid. Also helps that he’s adorable. I can fold those by the way,” you say, hands out awaiting his items.
“Oh, thank you very much,” the mandalorian says gratefully, intently watching you fold his purchases as he searches for his next words. Not wanting your conversation to end just so he can hear your sweet voice.
“Do you make those stuffed animals as well?” The mandalorian asks you. “I do.”
“You’re very talented,” he compliments. Now it’s your turn to feel flustered, heat surging throughout your body - and it’s not from the blistering Nevarro heat.
“Thank you very much,” you gracefully tell him with a bashful smile, silently asking for the items in his hands
“I might just have to commission you for one of those as well,” the mandalorian says as he hands you the credits for the sheets and garments as you fold them.
“Apologies, as well, for not introducing myself earlier. I’m…Mando. It was nice meeting you,” Mando says, trailing off at the end while packing everything into his bag.
The market bustles now, making you shuffle a bit closer to him so he can hear you, as you timidly give him your name. He quickly repeats it, burning it into his memory. The gap between you both having grown smaller. Catching a whiff of your sweet perfume, Din’s knees nearly buckle.
Of course you’re the embodiment of sweetness - and he longs to have a taste.
Flashing him your dazzling smile, you stick your hand out, awaiting his grasp. His face grows hot as he shakes your hand, both of your touches lingering. You gaze deeply into the slit in his helmet, hoping he can sense a sliver of desire from you.
You shuffle even closer, nearly fully flushed against his beskar. “It was nice meeting you too, Mando. I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?” Your voice hushed, your words only meant for him to hear.
“Yes, we’ll be back in the morning,” Mando says just as quietly. Your smile softens as you glance down to your conjoined hands. You pull away, realizing your hold on his hand lingered for a tad too long.
He clears his throat before turning to his son. “Come on, Grogu. Let’s go,” he barks, causing Grogu to snap his head up and look at his father.
“Bye, baby! Oh, hold on a second!” You say, fishing in your pocket and pulling out a piece of candy. “Here you go!” You squeak as you hand him the sweet treat. His eyes light up and he gurgles in excitement. He hurriedly takes the candy from you, unwrapping it to shove it in his mouth.
“Grogu, what do you say?” His father sternly asks him. Grogu looks up at you and babbles what you think is his version of ‘thank you.’
“You’re welcome, Grogu. Bye bye!” You giggle as you wave off the clan.
Din makes one last stop, purchasing some things to make dinner. He carries his bag of garments and sheets in one hand and the bag of ingredients in another as his hardware rests on his back. He lugs everything back home as Grogu entertains himself with his new toy.
Opening the door, Grogu rushes in first in his pram as Din trails behind and shuts the door. He tosses the bags onto the couch and settles the hardware in a corner of the living room. Grogu babbles as he plays with the bantha you gave him, giving Din the perfect opportunity to quickly cook him some soup for dinner.
It’s different not living out of ration packs, and actually having time to cook a real, hot meal. Domesticity is so foreign to him. The thought of sharing this new life with someone - with you - quickly infiltrates his mind. His mind swirls as recalls his encounter with you today while making dinner.
How did you become a seamstress? What’s your story? Do you give away stuff for free to other customers? Or was it because you’re interested in him? Is that why you had asked if he had a spouse? Or were you just being polite? Why does he care so much? He hadn’t thought about the other merchants this way, but there is something about you that has pulled him into your orbit, making him unable to shake you from his mind.
Grogu’s cooing pulls him from his trance, the soup he’d prepared had boiled over while he reeled through his thoughts. Din exasperatedly cleans up the mess and serves Grogu dinner, who scarfs it down the second it’s placed in front of him. As his son eats, Din continues reeling.
He’d been fine with being alone all these years. Why is he starting to feel this way? He and Grogu have been living here for a few months now, so why is he suddenly feeling a sense of desire? Longing? Even loneliness? Could it be the paternal instinct to provide more for his son? Or could it simply be you?
A tiny burp drags him back into reality. Grogu tiredly yawns, his belly full after a long day at the market with Din. His eyes droop, along with his ears. Din scoops him up and heads to Grogu’s room. He places the green child in bed, placing the stuffed bantha you’d gifted him alongside him.
Tumblr media
Din shuts the door and walks into his room next door. He continues to think of you while stripping his armor. He’d suppressed his feelings of loneliness for years now, but something about you had brought them to the surface.
Perhaps it was the way you treated Grogu with such sweetness, so maternally. Or perhaps it was your divine beauty which shines so brightly, penetrating from within your kind heart into the external realm. Whatever it may be, Din could not seem to shake the overwhelming feelings of yearning and loneliness - needs craving to be fulfilled by someone, by you.
Sighing as he removes his helmet, he changes into sweats and opts to sleep shirtless tonight. Padding into the kitchen, he puts the dishes from dinner into the sink, grabbing a glass in the midst of everything.
He knows his son is a Jedi and can overpower him at any moment, but Din still places his spotchka on the top shelf of a cabinet. He just hopes for the best and trusts Grogu won’t get into it.
Swiping the spotchka from the high point, he pours himself a hefty helping and chugs it. Helping himself to two more glasses, he begins to feel the effects, his eyes glazed over and heavy.
Placing the spotchka back on the top shelf and his empty glass in the sink, he walks back to his room and pulls his blanket back. Settling into bed, he still can’t get you out of his head.
His cock twitches at the thought of you, palming himself through his sweatpants. Images of you flash through his mind as he takes himself out of the confines of his sweatpants. His length springs out and bounces onto his stomach, thumping in the processing.
Din spits into his hand and winces as he strokes his cock. He’s so hard it hurts. Closing his eyes, he sighs as he strokes himself up and down, gathering the bead of precum that has dribbled from his tip and smearing it along his length.
The memory of you smiling as you appeared from thin air has him thumbing at his sensitive head. Your sweet scent lingers in his nose, smelling of florals, candy, and a hint of musk. He picks up the pace at the recollection. His breathing grows ragged as he remembers the glint in your shimmering, kind eyes. A fire burns in his veins, balls throbbing as he nears the edge.
He recalls how his skin felt electric beneath his glove as you shook his hand. The thought of your lingering touch sends a jolt of lightning through his veins as he replays the sweet sound of his name fluttering from your lips.
He wonders if his real name would sound just as sweet.
At that thought, he teeters off the cliff and plummets into his orgasm, painting his stomach with his spend while he groans your name. There’s so much cum, he’s definitely going to have to use his new bedding tonight.
He swims through the treacherous waves of his climax, sweat sheening his body. His hair sticks to his forehead and the back of his neck, a heady bliss crashes over him as he tries to catch his breath. He hasn’t cum that hard… ever.
He pants as he throws an arm over his face. Attempting to steady his breathing, he exhales a deep sigh. He’s never been so frustrated with himself. He’s always had more self-control, more discipline when it came to his desires. It’s unbelievable, and downright embarrassing, how quickly he caved at the thought of you. He doesn’t even know if you’re interested in him that way. It’s not like he could give you everything you deserve either, so long as he follows the Way.
Rising to his feet, he pads into the refresher to clean up the mess he made on his stomach. He heads into the living room, rummaging through the bags he carried in earlier. Slipping into the new pair of pants he purchased from you, along with grabbing the new sheets, he trudges back into his bedroom. He strips the bed and replaces the sheets with the ones you crafted and sold to him.
Groaning, he plops himself onto the mattress and stares at the concrete ceiling. Scintillating moonlight shines through the cracked window while the embarrassment and guilt sink in.
How is he supposed to face you at the market tomorrow?
An exhausted sigh rumbles from deep within his chest. He's never been more eager to wear his helmet ‘til now. He turns on his side before nodding off - hoping for a dreamless sleep, one free of you.

thank you for reading! may the yearning begin 🫡 i’m setting these two up for a slow burn hehehe
we will learn more about reader and her story in the next chapters!! i just wanted to introduce Din’s mindset after settling into a calmer life with Grogu
i want to delve some more into Din’s mind and examine his loneliness since we only catch very brief glimpses of it in the show. we know he gets lonely though, an example being apart from Grogu for 2 years. he’s a human after all underneath all that armor. a complex one at that with being an orphan and having to hide himself all the time.
anyway, i hope you enjoyed! let me know if you'd like to be tagged in future chapters <333

There’s a thing in Star Wars where installations of the canon tend to fall into one of three categories:
Foundational canon that everything else revolves around
Supportive canon that helps reinforce the structure of the foundation
Connective tissue and knick-knack collections
The movies are the foundation, the TV shows are generally supportive canon, and the novels/comics/games are the connective tissue and window dressing.  And I’m frustrated that I don’t think The Mandalorian knows what it wants to be, because I don’t think Star Wars has any good foundational canon since the prequels movies. The sequels are technically foundational canon, other books and comics refer to them as the unmovable points in history in this world, it was what established where the supportive stories are going, etc.  The problem is that they were so unfocused and actively eschewed worldbuilding that the supportive shows and connective tissue are left to do the heavy lifting and that puts The Mandalorian in a bad place. Because I think it should be allowed to be supportive canon, it should allowed to be like Rebels or The Clone Wars, which were supporting the strong foundations of the movies and thus absolutely flourished, which were stories that knew what themes they wanted to tell, they set the structure of the worlds they lived in, and so the animated shows could build up from there.  The Mandalorian flounders for me because it’s Disney+’s flagship show, so everything else gets spun off from it (except Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor, which is probably why I liked those shows so much better, because they were coming off much stronger foundations), and thus treated like it’s foundational canon. But it’s not.  This episode really struck that for me all over again, because we don’t even see Moff Gideon’s escape, that should be a crucial moment in the story that we should see instead of it happening off-screen!  In the past, we barely even see the destruction of Mandalore, a key moment in the show that they’re building!  Whether this is Din and Grogu’s story of the story of Mandalore as a whole, we’re seeing a smaller scale story than what we should if this is going to be the flagship foundational story. “Yeah, but The Mandalorian isn’t meant to be a foundational canon, it’s about a dude traveling around with his Foundling and figuring out life on the way.”  Agreed, it should be allowed to be supportive canon, but because the sequels did almost no establishing of the galaxy’s setting, now the supportive shows have to do it, which means we have to get multiple episodes that do the work of establishing what’s going on with the New Republic that have little to do with Din or Grogu’s story. The problem is further exacerbated by how those scenes are genuinely good!  Those tend to be the scenes that I focus on the most, like I loved seeing everything happening with Pershing on Coruscant, but the problem is that it contributed to this feeling that The Mandalorian was telling a foundational story, because those scenes had nothing to do with our main characters’ journey, they were establishing the bigger world that’s not really directly related to our characters.  To be fair, I might feel differently if the show had spread those scenes out better, kept them as side info more than stopping the entire show to go into them--like this episode balanced it well, Teva’s trip to Coruscant worked for me!  And last episode’s flashbacks were perfectly relevant to Grogu’s story and his emotional journey, I have no problem with seeing Coruscant and the Jedi Temple again in that context! But the question looms in my mind with every episode:  What is this show about?  Is it about trying to be an anthology series that tells little stories from all across the time period in this era?  Is it about the bigger story of Mandalore?  Is is about a more back alley level story about a single Mandalorian and the journey he and his Foundling go on? I don’t think The Mandalorian itself knows.  Or else it can’t help straying from what it should be--supportive canon too often either trying to establish too much or get away with focusing on something too small despite the extremely limited run time because it thinks this detour is Rule of Cool--and so it’s not really even about anything, other than being about cameos. I don’t see that changing, either, because those cameos are fun.  They’re amazingly cool to get sneak peaks of what those characters are up to, they’re lighting the internet on fire with getting to see these things in live action, I am absolutely going to continue screaming about these same things myself!  It’s fun!  And Star Wars should be fun! But I think it ultimately means that, once the fun is done, that I’m not sure The Mandalorian is a strong story.  It’s a very cool story and extremely fun, but I don’t think it can carry a franchise like the originals or the prequels did and that it shouldn’t have to, but it’s dipping into those waters (sometimes by choice, sometimes by force, I suspect) and then trying to dip back out of them, and it’s just.  The story of the fall of the Republic had its story directly told, you know?  The story of destroying the Empire had its story directly told, you know?  That hasn’t happened for Mandalore, its spread out in too many pieces and half of it isn’t even directly shown to us.  The sequels refused to tell the story of the New Republic, so that onus is put on The Mandalorian and it shouldn’t be, and I wish the show could be allowed to pick a lane and stick to it.

MANDALORIAN IMAGINE
Din didn’t realise you have piercings
Tumblr media
DESCRIPTION: You tend to Din’s injuries caused by a weapon you didn’t know he was carrying. In the process of cleaning his wounds, he learns something new about you too.
WARNINGS: Din getting hurt, blood, discussion of injuries, open cuts, discussions involving medical equipment, references to shooting guns, Din being a big dumb dumb getting himself injured 😈 newly established relationship, bossy behaviour, basically Din getting injured and he’s not used to being taken care of, reader has seen Din’s face before, established clan/family, just fluff.
A/N: I actually stole this from a draft series I was writing and liked the little snippet on its own so here ya go 😊 Note: Din has the dark saber in this plot but it isn’t mentioned that it takes place in any particular time during the Mandalorian series.
READER does not have a specified gender, they/them pronouns used. Reader is in an established romantic relationship with Din. Reader has parent relationship with Grogu (no gendered title used). Specific to this fic - reader does not have a visible disability and has hair long enough to be tucked behind their ear.
"Dank farrik!" Din exclaims, shooting back at the overconfident rodian chasing the Razor Crest down from the sandy floors of Tatooine. He’s out of breath, sending erratic shots back, warding off the rodian and it’s array of gang members. They had chased him all the way from Beggar’s Canyon, attempting to steal the head of a bounty that Din had managed with great difficulty to acquire. The head that now hung over his shoulder, bleeding through the make shift sack he’d half-heartedly tied it in. Din groans, glancing down at his throbbing shin. He struggles to keep balance on his right leg before being thrown across the cargo hold into the opposite wall when the ship thrusts up harshly towards the airspace.
“Din!” You yell, sliding down the ladder and shooting the airlock closed, preventing any further blaster fire from striking him. You look down at Din’s collapsed form slumped against the wall, gloved hand releasing some wiring he had grabbed to stop himself from rolling down the ramp completely.
Din immediately puts all his strength into shoving his feet into the steel floor, climbing his way up the wall awkwardly and stumbling into a standing position. It’s then you notice his leg, horror reaching your features. Before you can grab his arm, he staggers past you, throwing the disgusting sack off his back and into the corner of the cargo hold before uncomfortably climbing the ladder with pained groans. You follow, scrambling up the ladder after him, your head popping out of the narrow entryway to watch Din collapse into his chair and pull the crest off into the stars.
Wanting nothing more than to tend to his injury, the sound of cries catch your attention, your head whipping around to lower deck. Din’s head arches back while he controls the ship but your body slides down the ladder hurriedly. Din listens, while checking the navigator as he hears you gather your son and murmur words of reassurance to calm him down. Din releases a heavy breath, his teeth gritting as he feels the clothing covering his lower leg to stain coldly with his seeping blood. When he finally manoeuvres the ship far from the desert planet, he hits it into hyperspace and drops his head back against the chair, head spinning.
“Din!” You call again, your arms dragging you achingly back up the ladders after laying Grogu back down, his upset momentarily subsiding. Din feels his eyes growing heavy until your hands find his shoulders urgently, turning the chair harshly to the side to allow more room for you to kneel before him. You yank his shin armor off and tear open the already gaping hole of his flight suit.
“Shit, Din,” you grasp his leg where the wound is causing Din’s eyes to burn, pain erupting around every nerve. You look up at him in worry as he breathes heavily and goes to stand but he collapses just as you hold out your arms. You hitch a breath, trying to gain air back into your lungs after he knocks it out of you when you realise he’s heavier than you realised covered in beskar.
“I’m okay,” Din barely manages, his voice strained.
“No you’re not,” you assert, eyebrows furrowing in your difficulty to maintain his weight. You attempt to manoeuvre him to the ground, causing you to fall back with him in the process until you eventually manage to set him upright against the control panel, legs flat out in front of him.
Meanwhile you turn your head to notice a pair of green ears and big eyes watching you from the entry. You smile weakly at your son who watches you both silently.
“What happened?” You ask, pulling your vibro-knife from your ankle strap and using it to cut through the rest of Din’s clothes to give you access to his sliced leg. You wince as you realise how deep it is, hand palming your temple in confusion as to why the skin surrounding appears burnt and smells charred.
“I…it’s my fault…” Din manages slowly.
You frown, “How?”
In the midst of you tearing at his clothes, he shakily pulls the saber from his waist and holds it out to you, breathing heavily with his head back. You look to it inquisitively before Din pulls it to the side and unsheathes the glowing blade.
Your eyes widen.
“What the kriff is that?”
Din pulls the blade back in and sets it down, his head cocking to the side to analyse you.
"Called the...huff…dark saber. I…huff…caught myself with…huff…it."
You shake your head, completely bewildered by this foreign object but more angry at it for causing your love so much harm. And at his own doing.
"Stop talking. Stay here. Don’t move. I mean it."
He watches you stand up uneasily, sliding back down the ladder and listening to you rummaging around while he tries to regain his breath. His hands go to his helmet but his arms ache so he drops them before he can remove it.
You’re in front of him again before he can call for you, shaking bacta spray when he says your name. You lift your head, frozen by his sudden flinch when you angle the nozzle over his wound.
“My helmet.”
Your face falls, giving him a knowing look which he takes as you asking him if he’s absolutely sure.
He nods in response and you place the bacta spray down, hesitantly placing your hands on either side of the cold beskar and lift it from his head. What greets you is his flushed, sweat-stained features. His dark curls plastered meticulously over his forehead, skin lightly blushed red from enduring the heat of the hot planet and marvellous brown eyes meeting yours.
“Thank you,” Din smiles meekly at you.
You evade his gaze immediately, cheeks growing hotter at his unmodulated voice and softening gaze. Din had only recently started removing his helmet around you and even then it was a rare occurrence. You nervously mutter a “sure” before turning your attention back to his wound.
Once again, you angle the nozzle and spray a generous amount of the fluid over the wide gash. You watch as it gently binds the skin together and closes the wound slightly while Din groans at the stinging, burning sensation, biting his lip harshly. You frown unhappily at his discomfort, placing a hand on his shoulder and massaging gently to ease him.
Knowing you need to prevent him from moving around and get him as comfortable as possible, you move your hands towards his beskar chest plate but hesitate.
Din’s eyes meet yours knowingly, “go ahead”.
You nod and start working to remove his armor piece by piece until he’s in nothing but his torn flight suit. You’re completely in awe at the pile of metal next to you, having never truly realised just how much weight he carries daily.
From a medical kit you had retrieved along with the bacta spray, you begin working to dab gauze and bind his leg with bandages.
Din watches you.
His eyes monitoring your facial expressions, wincing along with his pain. He finds himself starting to calm as he watches you work away. His hand trails subconsciously and tiredly across your shoulder. You notice but try not to seem alarmed by his sudden touches.
Din pushes a strand of your hair back behind your ear, revealing some shiny adornments he remembered noticing once before but never took the time to look at.
Most of the piercings look like parts, screws, and bolts that have been modified into jewellery. An array of colours from dolovite, steel, and gold. Some with attachments hanging down, tickling your neck. Din’s fingers running compellingly across small stones. Some of which he could only identify as Heart of Fire, a burnt orange-red that contrasted perfectly against your skin. He admires them, painting a picture of when you may have gotten such things done.
Had you done it yourself or gone to a vendor?
“Do you like them?” Your quiet voice breaks his trance.
“Hmm?” He hums, his finger smoothing across the arch of your ear thoughtfully, making a shiver run up your spine.
You dare look to him and it’s then he stops his movements having not realised how intimate it seemed.
“My earrings,” you murmur.
Rendering you speechless, he smiles but it’s the smile that’s so heart shattering, it has your knees shaking.
“I do,” he returns tenderly.
You lower your head, trying to hide your flustered expression as you cut the bandage away and rub at his leg gently.
“You’re all good. You need to stay off your feet for a while,” you instruct gently.
“I will. Thank you,” he responds, dropping his hand from your shoulder and assessing the bandage with a grimace.
“You better,” you playfully threaten, holding the scissors to him causing him to grin at you making you blush incredibly and turn away.
Din clears his throat, “We can lay low in Coruscant.”
“Sounds like a plan,” you agree, before getting up to turn your head towards a small green bean of an intruder eavesdropping on your conversation. Your sons little padded footsteps wander over, big brown orbs focused on his fathers injury and whining unhappily.
“It’s okay, bub,” you reassure when he gets close enough to place a small clawed hand on Din’s foot. Din watches you, heart fluttering as you lift your son into your arms and rock him gently. Grogu clings onto your shirt, looking up at you and then back to his father, clearly still distressed.
“Is he okay?” Din inquires, trying and failing to lean forward off the control panel behind him.
“Shaking but he’ll be okay,” your eyes run protectively over your son, fingers stroking light touches over his ear.
You walk over to Grogu’s chair, sitting him down while Din attempts standing up uneasily before limping over to the both of you. At the sound of his footsteps, you turn swiftly, eyes narrowing on him and arms folding disapprovingly.
“What did I say, Din?”
He sighs, “I know what you said.” He hobbles over and puts a hand on Grogu’s head, towering over you both. “I just want to check on the kid.”
“He’s okay,” you reassure gently but firmly.
“And you?” You feel so small compared to Din when he moves closer, his head just above yours with warm eyes fixating down at you with concern.
You nod and give him a small smile, “I’m okay.”
Din nods back slowly and you watch his eyes run over your features almost trying to gauge an understanding that you’re not lying to him. It seems what he finds there eases him and his shoulders finally relax.
“Good. I’m sorry about that. Thank you for having my back,” you close your eyes when he lets his forehead knock yours carefully. You smile nervously when you feel his other hand touch your waist ever so gently, arm curving around your lower back to pull you closer. You breathe him in, adoring this domestic side of him. Each hand protectively holding the two people most dear to him.
“Of course,” you lean into him, your nose gently nudging his. Din smiles.
Grogu cooes at you both.
“You should rest,” you open your eyes, meeting Din’s affectionate but tired gaze. He nods and gently sways your body contentedly in his hold.
“We all should,” he looks back to Grogu, his grabby hands flailing towards the Crests shifter knob. Din reaches for it and you watch him pass the small ball to the babbling child, “It’ll take some time to get to Coruscant.”

Luke Skywalker hc's!!!
NOW!!
THE WAY I COME OUT OF MY WRITERS BLOCK JUST FOR THIS RAHHHHH LETS GO STAR WARS ASK
Bonjour, to anyone who doesn't know I am a huge Luke Skywalker fan, I very literally stole his name and pronouns (like no joke thats why I'm called Luke teehee) so this feels appropriate, especially during the May 4-5 time period rahhhh
Anyways,
Luke Skywalker Headcanons
First thing to know about me, I'm a dinluke shipper, I'm built crazy like that
Luke is the gayest man I've ever seen. I fully believe that he was just so smug after Leia kissed him just because it bothered Han
If everything with Vader hadn't happened and Anakin and Padme just got to have the kiddos, I genuinely think Luke would have been Padme's mini-me
Like the fashion? Chanel boots Skywalker would have eaten them up frrrrr
However I do fully think he would have continued to follow his fathers passion for flying.
But anyways, back to canon
I like to think that Luke is extremely smart, but people tend to overlook it
They see him and think dumb blonde but he's genuinely so intelligent
And like not just with mechanics and flying, but like also he had to have learned a ton just about like farming and business from his time on Tatooine
Speaking of which, Luke for sure saw Din at some point on Tatooine and had a little swoon with his friends
Big strong man in a suit of armor? And the voice???
Luke loves kids. Like down pat he loves children so fucking much frfr
I think Luke probably wished he could have his own kids (I ignore comics if yall can't tell) but ended up sacrificing that to be able to start his jedi temple and take care of a larger number of kiddos
Semi-parenthood would be good enough for him
Speaking of which, I do genuinely think that Luke doesn't uphold the whole "no attachments" thing jedi had going on
I think he sent Grogu away because he could tell that Grogu was going to be better off with Din.
He offered Grogu the choice because he wanted to make sure that Grogu had a say in his future
Luke for sure had a crush on Han, particularly during Empire Strikes Back. Like I just know this boy was crushing hard
Definitely knew it was one sided, but ya know, can't control what the heart wants.
Took him a bit after Vader's death to actually decide what he wanted to do
I imagine he would have been filled in about things via Yoda or even the force ghosts, so he would have to take time to come to terms with all of the information given to him
I feel like a large part of him would have resented the Jedi order for a bit and struggled with this idea of "continuing" on the jedi
I think he only decides to continue when he realizes that he can do better. He doesn't want to relive the mistakes of the past.

Din watched as you entertained Grogu, a wide smile on your face as you run in circles near the beach.
The waves crashed against your ankles, sun glistening against your skin. Grogu’s eyes were wide and giggles erupted from his small stature.
Din could feel something swarm beneath his chest—a mixture of warmth and comfort that he wasn’t sure what to make of.
He watched for what felt like hours, the slow motion of your feet padding across the sand and Grogu’s wide smile. He felt whole. He felt happy. It wasn’t something that he had ever afforded himself before, but it was new.
It wrapped around him and gave him a skipped beat of his heart. He would do anything for the two to you, that much he knew. It captured him whole and pulled him down into the peaceful depths of pure desire to love.
He turned around, walking slowly to distance himself. His heart was pounding against his ears and throbbing against his helmet.
He needed to do something different, something to distract him from the encompassing feeling that was going to swallow him whole.
He tended to his ship. He made as many modifications to the smaller ship as he could possible. It didn’t take long, though. The ship had much easier maintenance than the Razor Crest—no matter how much he missed the grey ship.
He could hear you before you even started walking up to him. You whispered sweet words to Grogu and his chest thumped hard when he heard the words, “your dad,” leave your lips.
You had Grogu in your arms. His little body was slipped over in exhaustion and he made little hums, as if to acknowledge he was listening to you.
You stop near the ship and look up at Din. He busies himself even more, the distraction barely working anymore. You reach up and tap him on the shoulder, it was so gentle he almost couldn’t hear the sound of his beskar. He turns around, the urge to be near you was encompassing his thoughts and he couldn’t help it.
“I think we should find an Inn soon.”
He nods. He drops the hypo wrench into his basket of tools. He takes a step closer and your chest restricts—the feeling of warmth spreading through you.
He pauses, trying to find the right words. “You’re good at that.”
Your head tilts to the side. “At what?”
You’re very clearly out of breath. You were heaving up and down, a bead of sweat glistening against your temple. He had worn you out with all of the playing around. The little baby in your arms just snuggles closer into your chest.
“Taking care of him.”
You hum, a smile stretched out onto your face. “You’re good at that too.”
He wants to shake his head, but he doesn’t. He knows his morals aren’t always the best, but he tries. He really tries.
Instead, he continues to stare at you—heart seizing in his chest at the sight of his little family right before him.
“Cyare?”
Your heart skips at the nickname. “Yeah, Din?”
“I…I, dank ferrick, I lo—” He curses at himself, at the world. He couldn’t say those three little words even though he knew he felt them.
“I know.” You say, smile wide and cheerful. Din almost glows in return. You know. Holy shit, you know.
You caress the cheek of his helmet, and he almost preens into you—even if he can’t feel it. “I love you too.”

My relationship with Jar Jar is pretty neutral. He never bothered me much when I was watching these films as a kid, but I didn't LOVE him either. So these days, I mostly just... don't care. Jar Jar is a comic relief character and so if his style of humor doesn't appeal to you, then the character is probably going to land neutral at best.
I think the most I ever felt about Jar Jar was during that one scene in The Mandalorian season 3 where Ahmed Best's other character, Kelleran Beq, is able to escape Coruscant during Order 66 with Grogu due to an assist from a Naboo contingent that HAS to have been sent by Jar Jar somehow because we know from ROTS that Padme is busy crying over her murderous fascist boyfriend in her nightie in her apartment at this time. She's not in any position to be answering any calls the Jedi might have sent out to the Naboo embassy, but she's also not the only representative of Naboo on the planet, and Jar Jar has historically ALWAYS been a friend to the Jedi and would not have hesitated to send help if they asked for it. I loved that connection between Ahmed Best's two characters, I thought it was a really lovely homage to the character and actor both.
Beyond that, though, I don't tend to think about him all that much, negative or positive.

character: Din Djarin (The Mandalorian)

Two knocks is all you’re able to offer before you slump against the side of the cabin’s entryway. The blood on your face has crusted over by now, but the bruises and aches have started to settle within your ribs and your limbs, making the simple task of standing too difficult. You’re surprised you made it to Nevarro in this shape, your ship on the opposite side of the cabin from the N-1.
You’ve fully sunken to the ground with your back resting against the cabin as the door slides open. Din stands in the threshold fully armored, both his blasters drawn as he looks around. His visor snaps in your direction, his helmet tilting as he tucks his blasters back into his belt. Din curses as he kneels down to pick you up.
“I’m sorry,” you apologize through gritted teeth, groaning as you get jostled against his armor. Your cheek presses against his pauldron as he takes you inside.
Din doesn’t say anything, instead focusing on getting you settled as he lays you down on the couch and disappears into the bedroom. Grogu emerges from his own room, his ears lowering at the sight of you as he coos.
“Hey, little guy,” you greet, trying your best to perk up as you give him a small wave. “I’m all right. Promise.”
Grogu tilts his head and snorts, catching your bluff just as effectively as his father always does. He starts to approach you, but Din’s quicker, emerging with his medpac and kneeling down next to your place on the couch. Din begins his work on you once he silently gains your consent to be touched, his gloves removed and his hands tending to the dry blood on your face. He still hasn’t spoken since his curse earlier, worsening the dark pit that festers inside your stomach.
You speak up when the silence starts to drive you mad. “Din,” you begin, your voice soft and wary. He doesn’t stop his work, and if you didn’t already know him so well, you would’ve assumed he wasn’t listening at all. “Are you upset with me?”
Din’s actions slow at that, his cuirass rising and falling in a visible deep breath. He offers his response in a single decisive and telling word. “No.”
That’s all you get. He returns to his usual speed, leaving you to raise an eyebrow at him. “I’m not gonna bother asking if you’re upset with the people who did this, then, because I know you are.”
Din huffs, though the sound isn’t amused. You watch him pull one of his hands into a fist when he exchanges one cloth for another.
You sigh before going on. “But you shouldn’t be upset with yourself.”
Din goes still at your words. His hands remain near your face, but his helmet looks away from you, his chin tucking closer to his cuirass as if he’s trying to hide himself from you. You give him time; It’s the least he deserves after you’ve returned in this condition. His voice is so low you almost miss it. “I could’ve stopped them.”
You tilt your head at him, propping yourself up as best as you can and instantly releasing a tight growl at the pain it causes. Din faces you to urge you back to where you were before. “I was the one who kept you from coming,” you remind him. “I wasn’t taking the chance of you getting hurt for something I did.”
Din doesn’t respond to that. He still doesn’t move, either, his visor instead considering the blood-stained rag that sits at his side. The tension in his armored shoulders tells you everything he doesn’t say.
“I knew you'd feel guilty.” You lift a hand to the side of his helmet, brushing your thumb over the ridge in the metal. “You do understand that I'd take a thousand wounds if it meant keeping you safe, don't you?”
Din’s visor meets your gaze, his hand rising to cover yours. “As would I.” He takes a grasp on your wrist, lowering it and watching as his thumb brushes over the skin there. He passes over the dark marking of Crimson Dawn you’ve never been able to escape from, despite their destruction at the hands of the Empire. Your debts need to be paid, and Din deserves better than to be the one who pays them.
“I know you would.” Din releases your wrist to continue his work, with Grogu now trying to help him by handing him various bacta remedies and bandages. “But I can’t let you.”
Din finishes with the cuts on your face and sighs, the sound as heavy as the burden upon his shoulders. He all but tosses the cloth in his hand aside and takes a tight grasp on his armored thighs, his visor watching them as he shakes his helmet. “No.”
You raise your brow at him again. “No?”
Din’s visor snaps up at you. “I’m not letting this happen again.”
You frown at his words. “Din…”
“Why is it so difficult for you to believe that you deserve to be protected?”
Your gaze can’t meet his visor any longer. Now you’re the one who’s avoiding him, your eyes darting all around the room. “It’s not your burden to bear.”
Din lifts a hand to the lip of his helmet, removing the beskar in one swift move. He sets it aside and takes your face between his hands, keeping his grasp gentle in light of your recent wounds. His brown eyes, dull in their concern, never once leave your gaze as he repeats the vow you both exchanged long ago. “Mhi me'dinui an.” We share all.
You try to come up with a rebuttal, but you can’t. Din is a man of honor, and trying to talk him out of upholding the vow he’d sworn to you is an impossible task.
“I’m going to protect you, now.” Din rests his forehead against your own. “Because that’s what we do for the ones we love. We keep them safe.”
You lift a hand to the side of his face, your thumb brushing over a scar he’d gotten once on your behalf as your vision starts to blur with sheer gratitude and affection. “I love you, too.” You repeat the first words you said to him when you first got back home. “I’m sorry.”
Din shakes his head, the corners of his lips pulling into a small smile as he leans even closer to you. “You did nothing wrong.” The gentle reassurance melts against your lips along with his own in a meaningful kiss that becomes the seal of his promise to uphold his word of protecting you, and your agreement to finally letting him.

din djarin- every dead-end street led you straight to me
Tumblr media
summary: din comes back from a trip so you show him how much you love him
din djarin x fem! reader
inspired by taylor swift's new song: all of the girls you've loved before!
warnings: smut, cursing
word count: 1703
....
It had been about a week since Din Djarin had left you alone on the Razorcrest to tend to the green child you had both grown to love while he had an important bounty to deliver.
It had been two years since you started working for Din and a year since the two of you had recognized your feelings for each other and gotten together.
When you first started working for him, Din had been cold and distant towards you, only talking to you when it seemed necessary. His feelings slowly changed when he started noticing the little things that you would do for him and Grogu. In return, he started to exchange the favor by offering you little trinkets from the planets you’d visit.
One day this cycle of returning gifts and hiding your affection for each other ended when you almost got killed one day and Din saved your life.
You had been on the run from the empire when suddenly Grogu slipped out of your arms squealing while an Imperial officer scrambled to retrieve him.
As if it were instinct you immediately ran back to get him, shoving the officer aside before snatching the crying baby back into your arms.
The officer yelped before whipping out his gun and aiming it at you.
“Stop shooting at him and start shooting at the girl!” the burly officer had barked as the stormtroopers behind him turned their weapons on you and started firing powerful shots at you that you luckily dodged.
You ran back to a screaming Din who took your hand in his and rushed back to your ship.
Bullets blazed fast the both of you as you felt your heart hammering hard in your chest from the adrenaline flowing through your blood.
Once your ship was flying high into the sky away from Imperial activity, the Mandalorian had started towards you angrily, his gloved fingers on his helmet.
Grogu had cooed nervously in your lap, looking up at you with scared big eyes while you braced yourself for Din’s words.
“How could you let yourself be so careless? You almost got yourself killed!” his voice was laced with bitterness.
Despite not being able to see him, you could practically feel his gaze burn onto you.
“I’m sorry but I had to save him,” your voice was small as you let the shivering child down and watched him waddle away back to his cradle.
“I cannot believe you would ever do that! So many of those bullets could’ve caught you,”
“I had to save him because if I didn’t I would never be able to forgive myself,” your eyes were full of tears threatening to spill over your cheeks as you stared at your own reflection from his helmet.
Your shaking hands were pressed tightly over your chest as you stared at the floor.
The atmosphere around the both of you was tense and heavy, an uncomfortable silence hanging over the two of you.
Din sighed, his breath coming out modulated as he bent down to your level.
“Oh don’t cry mesh’la,” his voice was soft as he lifted up a hand and grazed it over your cheeks.
At that moment a tear slipped down your cheek.
You leaned into his body as he gasped at the touch before wrapping his arms around you.
“I just…I just wouldn’t know what to do without him…without the two of you,” you cried as your tears continued to flow onto his Beskar.
He held you even tighter before pulling away and holding your cheeks with his gloved fingers.
He delicately swiped the tears away.
“Close your eyes cyar’ika,” he was quiet as you stared at him, eyes puffy.
“What?” you asked, sniffling.
“Just close your eyes,” Din said as you complied with his request, gently closing your eyes.
You heard the sound of something hissing and furrowed your eyebrows with confusion about to ask him what was going on before you felt a pair of lips on your own.
Your heart stopped as you kissed him back, moving your hand to his curly hair making him grunt.
“You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to do that,” he sighed breathlessly before kissing you again as you giggled.
“Me too,”
….
You smiled at the memory as you stroked the head of the sleeping child in your arms.
Grogu had been sleeping for over an hour after you fed him a dinner that consisted of a hot bowl of vegetable soup with a side of stale bread.
You missed Din a lot.
Being with the Mandalorian was the best thing that had ever happened to you. All of your past failed relationships were instantly forgotten whenever he squeezed your hand when walking through a city or bringing you flowers. He was so respectful and kind and your heart swelled so much whenever you’d think about him.
Years of heartbreak led him straight to you. A reward after all of the horrible things you’d gone through.
You sighed as you slowly got up, not wanting to wake the sleeping baby, and put him in his cradle on the other side of the ship.
Right as you were about to return back to your room to get some sleep, a hand clamped over your mouth making you scream into your captor’s hand.
A modulated laugh escaped the person behind you as you rolled your eyes and shoved his hand off your mouth.
Din Djarin stood in front of you clad in Beskar standing in a very mischievous manner.
You took his hand in yours and dragged him over to your shared bedroom.
“Are you crazy you could’ve woken up Grogu!” you scolded, slapping his chest as he threw his head back with laughter before going over to you and wrapping his arms around you.
“I missed you,” he said as all of your annoyance immediately diminished the moment you felt the coolness of his helmet rest on your shoulder.
Your heart immediately melted at his confession and a smile graced your face as you stared at him.
“I missed you too,” you shifted around so that you were face to face with him and brought your forehead to his helmet.
A Keldabe kiss.
Weeks after being together, Din had shown you the sweet meaning of him pressing his helmet against your forehead so you made it your biggest priority whenever he’d come back on the ship to do the Keldabe kiss.
Every time you put your forehead against his Din would always find himself gasping for breath at how sweet you were and how lucky he was to have you in his world.
“You missed me?” he hummed, hands rubbing up and down your waist
“Mhm,” your eyes glinted under the dim light of the ship.
“Show me,” his voice suddenly turned deep, sending shivers down your spine as his hand trailed down to the waistband of your sleep pants.
He quickly shed his gloves before dipping his fingers into your panties.
His breath hitched at the wetness that collected on his digits.
“Fuck mesh’la you’re already wet and I haven’t even done anything to you,” he groaned.
You brushed his hands away from your soaked core and eyed his bulge through his flight suit, grazing your fingers over it.
“No Din, tonight is about you…let me take care of you,” you purred as you pushed him back against the mattress.
He cursed under his breath as he watched you unclasp his pants and let his cock spring forward.
It’s already leaking with pre-cum which makes you look up at him with a cheeky grin.
“Someone’s excited,” you teased as he rolled his eyes under his helmet.
“You going to suck me off or tease me because if you’re gonna do that-” his words were cut off by the feeling of your tongue against him making him jerk in surprise.
Your tongue moved skillfully around him, not missing any vein or crevice.
He missed your goddamn mouth.
Din watched as you continued to lick him all over, swirling your tongue around him while you took more of him into your mouth.
“Fuck,” he growled, fisting your hair and pulling you closer to his cock.
You moaned in surprise, your teary eyes looking up at him, full of lust.
“Such a good fucking girl,” he praised as you whimpered at the compliment, the ache between your legs growing.
“Touch yourself, baby,” he brings a hand to your cheek, encouraging you as you eagerly skimmed your digits over your folds, moaning which sent vibrations to his cock.
While you continued to suck him off, your fingers rubbed harsh circles on your clit.
He gripped your head and started to thrust roughly into your mouth, using it the way he wanted as tears continued to leak down your burning cheeks while you tried to control your gag reflex.
The sensation of his cock attacking your throat and your fingers circling your pussy was too much as you felt your orgasm building in your stomach.
“I’m gonna cum,” you mumbled over his cock that was being pistoned in your throat.
Din panted, gripping your chin so that you could look up at his helmet.
“Cum for me, mesh’la,” he said, his Mando’a sending you over the edge as you felt pleasure wash over you while he emptied his seed into your mouth with a grunt.
You removed your mouth from his cock with a loud pop, a mixture of his cum and your saliva dripping down your chin.
You could feel his eyes burning into you as you rested your head on his clothed thigh.
“Thank you pretty girl,” he said, rubbing your back gently with one hand.
“No problem I mean it was hot,” you grinned as he brought a hand to your cheek and caressed it.
“It was,”
“It almost makes me wish that you went out more,” you teased.
“You’d never last without my cock and you know it,” the Mandalorian chuckled darkly.
“I bet I could,” a devilish grin formed on your lips.
One second later you were thrown onto the mattress of your shared bed with Din on top of you.
“We’ll see about that,”

Realised that this never posted, but I stand by it:
It's really weird that Rogue One's aesthetic, which was specifically developed for a Star Wars film which had minimal space wizards and was instead about much more subdued characters and murkier moral themes, has now become the aesthetic which gets slathered over all new live-action Star Wars whether it fits or not.
Mando mostly works with that look because while there are some big personalities, they're almost all side characters, while the mains are stoic and reserved except for Grogu. Andor looks downright great, not least as much of it is shot on actual locations and on full sets.
But apply this to Ahsoka and Kenobi, and it rather cuts against the vibe they're going for. Space wizards, with their operatic cosmic conflicts and connection to a mystic energy, tend to want something a bit more heightened (which I think is an under-discussed problem in the PT which is very muted much of the time, and a major strength in the more stylised Empire and TLJ). The colours are muted, the angles mostly flat, and it ends up being at odds with the story being told.
To extend Kenobi some goodwill, lots of the latter seems to have come from the Volume. You keep seeing where the cinematographer wanted to crank a shot of Vader to be sharper and more impactful, but couldn't because the Volume doesn't permit that. Although I do think there are some baffling bits of blocking like in the chase and the first duel, the floaty shaky-cam is a generally poor look and really, Lucasfilm shouldn't lean so hard on the Volume (I mean, seriously guys, look at Monarch. That looks miles better than anything you've done on TV except for Andor.) But point is, they tried and ran into constraints.
Meanwhile Ahsoka seems exceedingly comfortable with both feet in Gordon Willis' metaphorical bucket of cement. The characters' energy levels are tamped way down from Rebels to match the muted presentation, and things often feel low-energy even just within the context of these shows. Even when the show steps into the World Between Worlds, an explicitly supernatural plane (or goes into Ahsoka's coma dream) there's no real change in look. Contrast the way that Empire employs that low shutter speed in the dark cave, while TLJ steps into something surreal complete with voiceover and an impossible CG camera move. In Ahsoka, though, there's little attempt to make the place feel otherworldly beyond how the scenery looks.
And these are largely missing a vital part of Rogue One's look, which is scale. Both Gareth Edwards and cinematographer Greig Fraser are great at portraying large-scale things in interesting ways, and that's something which will tend to get lost with a move to the small screen and the massive use of the Volume, without shots from locations or physical sets to balance it out and make spaces feel more real. Without that, the Mandoverse keeps feeling... rather pokey.
